I emailed the customer directly and apologized again and asked her if we could credit back to the [redacted] on file.  I am sorry that we didn't get this resolved earlier and that we could have had a better outcome.  I have also sent her a $25 gift certificate in hopes that she might give us another try.

We have a 30 day return policy that is firm. Our vendors do not accept anything past that point, and we have to respect their wishes. 30 days should be plenty of time to receive, evaluate and return any merchandise including anything that is damaged or defective. This order was reported as fraud by someone other than [redacted] on 12/07/2015 . The caller confirmed email address (see below).   We immediately reported this to our accounting / fraud department and the order was flagged.  This order was placed using PayPal Credit under the...

name of [redacted] and the caller indicated they did not know that person.  On the date of 12/10/2015 we issued a full credit back to the original method of payment which was the PayPal Credit account, $27.76.  We did instruct the caller to contact PayPal credit with any further concerns and report the fraud.  We had not further contact with anyone on this order after that date.  [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because it does not address my original complaint.When I purchased this bag, it had a "whatever it takes" full warranty from Ebags, as evidenced by the screenshots I provided and the warranty service I received.Now, the company has changed their warranty terms and conditions (as evidenced by the current screenshots) and refuses to honor the warranty that was in effect when I purchased the bag.The way the original warranty was presented as well as the refusal to honor the warranty that was in effect when I purchased the bag are both violations of the [redacted] - violations under federal law. Companies that are found to violate this law have to pay restitution to consumers as well as cover the legal costs of bringing the suit.[redacted]I ask that the original warranty be honored (with free replacement or repair of the product for its lifetime) or that I receive a full refund for the bag, because these are the actions required under federal law - the [redacted].
