The response from ebates.ca stuck to that gift cards are excluded from receiving cash backHowever, I am not disputing the fact that ebates.ca had a disclaimer on that exclusion clauseMy complaint is grounded on two facts: 1) that the purchase process designed between ebates.ca and shop.ca is leading any average consumer to believe they will receive a cash back for the gift card purchase, and 2) that the way ebates.ca handled the cancellation is not acceptableWhen they cancelled the cash back, the cash back had already been sitting in my account for over a month, and they just eliminated the record without any communication to meIt's just like you received some money in your bank account and later on the person who sent the money said they needed to take it back, and then the bank just made it disappeared from your account without any notification, and plus they even erased the transaction record of depositing

VERY unhappy customer! Bought a new Samsung 75" TV for $from Dell consumer on November 24th and received it from Dell on December 1st Ebates had 12% cash back promotion on their website at that time After I received my TV on December 1st 2016, I've send numerous emails to Ebates asking where is my cash back which is 12% My emails included a proof from Dell that the TV was purchased and received All my emails were answered in the same manner: we have to verify the purchase with Dell I called Dell to find out if Ebates did any verification of my purchase, but Dell's answer was - no, Ebates had never contacted us It's a biggest scam - when they owe you such a big amount, they never pay back I was really hoping that I've made a good deal on Thanksgiving, but it was a complete scam People beware!

For the purposes of our email investigation we sometimes calculate the highest
possible Cash Back for any orderExpedia offers 5% Cash Back for "Activities" but 2% for Travel Packages
So during the email investigation we may have calcuated the highest possible Cash Back for this order at 5%Once we finally were able to earn credit for the order and get the funds applied to the account, it was applied at the correct amount for a "package" (flight+hotel)This is 2% Cash Back

I have reviewed my account and see that the funds for this transaction plus the bonus have been added as statedFor clarification purposes, I contacted Ebates via their "feedback" option on December 1, 2015, which is when I first received a response from "***"However, before that, I had made several attempts using the standard "where's my cash back" option, and received responses from various customer care representatives stating that they would look into the matter
If I may offer some feedback from a customer's perspectivePerhaps if the Ebates site had a place on a customer's account that reflected pending inquiries on cash back not received, it would alleviate a lot of confusion and frustrationEach time I received a response from customer care telling me that they were looking into the matter and then never received any follow-up, it did not provide me any guarantee that someone was actually working on the matterEvery time you want to follwith customer care, you get a different person so you have no clue if they just see that someone else previously worked on it so they assume another rep will take care of it and do nothing, which is very likely what happened in my case
Also, if you tell a customer that it can take up to days AFTER they complete the trip for their cash back to post on their Ebates account, it's very unfair to then ask them to wait another days for Ebates to review the matterGive the customer the option to start the process once they have completed their trip if their cash back has not yet postedThis way, the merchant has days to contact Ebates and Ebates has days to follif the money is not received w/in the daysIt's extremely inefficient to ask a customer to wait months AFTER they complete their travel to have a transaction reviewed (or not)
I appreciate the resolution of this matter but regret that I had to invest so much of my time to reach a successful conclusion

It can not be considered abuse if my family, friends and I shopped through your website and earned cash back and your company also received a percentage of cash back from each store we shopped atLooks as though you don't want to keep your customers happy and give them what is it owed to themI'll be sure to let everyone know how deceitful your company really is
