(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not agree with this response
I want Ebates pay me my cashback that I already was received when I bought a lot of stuff from other websites through Ebates
Ebates can end my membershipI do not careHowever, Ebates have to pay my cashback
Ebates claim that I abuse their program, OK, they can close my account, just because there is error on their system about cashback not reserve when I cancel my purchase, then they deactive my account immediately, and then also decide that do not pay cashback for other purchaseThey should remember that I just ask about cashback that I already purchase succesfully and was credited to receice cashback
Ebates do not pay for what they legally promised and defrauding
they pay users kickbacks from merchants commissions received, and not paying me back,
I need Ebates pay what you owe and promised, obey laws

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The so-called referral program was NOT ABUSED. eBates is just trying to get out of sending me money they owe me for referring folks to their scam site.

We are sorry for the delay. The funds were sent out via Paypal on Monday, November 24th.

Good company and most importantly, good customer service. More than happy to help look into potential issues where you didn't get the cashback you deserved and they resolve it in a timely and courteous manner.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/02/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I don't know why all of those email addresses are there, I only know of three people that I personally refered-who made the necessary actions. They were [redacted] ([redacted]@gmail.com) , [redacted] ([redacted]@pride.hofstra.edu) and Igr [redacted] ([redacted]@yahoo.com). Two of those people are family members, and one is a friend. Therefore in my book, what ebates did is called false advertisement. Do I know if those three people refered other people? No I don't know thT, but all I can tell you is that I refered those 3 people and they all made purchases as required by ebates for me to qualify for the promotion.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/03/02) */
To resolve this, can we please consolidate all the accounts that are in your name: Yelena [redacted]?
From the list in the previous message.
Creating duplicate accounts for self-referral is not allowed. The consolidation should help us resolve this.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I already told you my account is [redacted]@gmail.com. I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ANY OTHER EBATES ACCOUNT. do they belong to someone else? I'm assuming so!
Resolve it anyway you like, but whatever you decide to do, I want to have my referral bonus promptly. It was suppose to be deposited by feb. 15th, so it's already 2 weeks overdue!

Hello [redacted],
In checking our records I do see that on 11/15 we informed you that we were submitting the order to Lenovo as we have not received credit from them for this order.
We have in no way denied your claim, we are simply...

investigating the matter. Ebates can only credit an order if credit is received from the merchant. As long as the order was placed according to our Terms and Conditions our inquiry with Lenovo should be approved.
At this point we are just awaiting a response from them as to why the order was not reported to us and hopefully with news that they will be crediting it. As mentioned this can take around 30 days, but we are hopeful it will be responded to sooner.
As soon as a resolution is received we will be sure to let you know.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/12/04) */
Thank you for letting us know. We see that all email should be stopped at this time.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/04/13) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
After I filed in Revdex.com, Ebates immediately sent me a email told me that they are going to send a check in May 7 (they ignored all my 5 times inquires before I filed them in Revdex.com). My point is I did not get the check they said they mailed to me, why I have to wait until May 7th? They can easily void the check they mailed to me if there is a one. I want my check now.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/04/21) */
Hello [redacted],
Unfortunately, we are unable to process the replacement check any sooner. We must allow time for our bank to cancel the previously sent check and ensure it has not been deposited in any account. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Today, as a show of our appreciation for your patience and understanding I have added a $5 credit to your account which will be paid out on your next eligible pay date. Thank you.

seems no other option for me. I will wait until my next eligible pay day. Thank you, Revdex.com and Ebates.

Hello [redacted],
Today I have credited this order to your account. The rate for Name Your Own Price Airfare was 3.5%. $.5 was the rate offered for Name Your Own Price Hotel and Express Deal Hotels. You should see this order reflected in...

your account now. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
According to the sale advertisement on Ebates, Priceline was offering 4.5% for "name your own price airfare". After some unsuccessful communication for about 2 months, Ebates eventually posted $3.75 vs. 4.5% which I should have received. we filed a complaint to Revdex.com on 7/29/2015, Ebates then posted 3.5% on my account. In response to Ebates, we had pointed out that we should receive 4.5% cash but NOT 3.5%, I did not receive any response after that.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/05) */
Hello,
Rates of Cash Back are changed from time to time. This is due to promotions and offers from our merchants. At the time your order was placed the cash back we offered was as follows.
4.50% Cash Back on Express Deal Hotel, Name Your Own Price Hotel, Published-Price Prepaid Hotels
3.50% Cash Back on Name Your Own Price Rental Car, Name Your Own Price Airfare
3.00% Cash Back on Published-Price Hotel Paid at Checkout
2.50% Cash Back on Published-Price Rental Cars, Vacation Packages, Cruises
$3.75 Cash Back on Published-Price Flights
Currently the rates are higher, but to get those rates you would have to have placed an order on an eligible date.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2015/08/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We decided to purchase four airfares from priceline via Ebates, it is because of 4.5% cash back advertisement promised by Ebates. Otherwise we will NOT bother to try a program full of restrictions.
We did not receive the cash back a long time after the transaction. After quite a few inquiries to Ebates, we were asking to wait and wait. After a lot of inquiries $3.75 was eventually posted on my account at around 100 days and Ebates claimed this is the cash back amount I should earn. I later complained to Revdex.com, Ebates then changed my cash back amount to 3.5%.
To be very honest, we are very exhausted for this dishonest behavior and irresponsible response from Ebates. Ebates took advantage of the customer by sales advertisement which is unfair and unjustified. We have been with Ebates for a few years, this 4-month bad experience really upsets us. Considering almost 4 months we've wasted on the issue caused by Ebates' dishonest sale advertisement, and the issue remained unresolved, we are asking Ebates to match current 5.4% rebate for the airfares price we paid.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I did not abuse the program. I signed up on my own and...

in good faith made a purchase at att and was due 200.00 cash back for this order. Ebates has received credit from my order. I am not requesting any bonus payment just the cash back I earned from order. As far as I know there was a problem with my girlfriends company card she used with ebates. I thought it was cleared up with ebates. I would request that ebates release the cash back I earned and if there was a problem that it would have been addressed before I went through months of waiting for ebates to track my purchase it should have been addressed then. Ebates does not explain what is allowed in their terms and conditions so once you make your purchase that you can not undo they hit you with a abuse claim and keep the money they earn from your purchase.  It was explained that it was a company card to ebates and the rep said ok and combined accounts because it was not explained that was not ok. All I ask is that the cashback I earned be released because it was not explained that this abuse. Sincerely,[redacted]

I Love. ..Love ... Love this site.I was a member years ago and remember making a few hundred dollars then but I rejoined and over the past 2 years I've earned well over $300 & I'm far from a big spender! It honestly couldn't be any easier ...Ebates is able to add on to the chrome browser via bookmark or as one of chromes add ons so all I do is click the button before I place my orders...I recently joined Sams Club & just placed my first GROCERY order with them online ...heck they pack it all together then I just go pick it up....who doesn't want cash back on groceries??? I'll probably earn double my money just by doing this one thing .We spend money on clothes..electronics. .appliances ... books ...shoes ...Ebay Items...concerts...vacations and especially groceries everyday....why not get cash back on them??..My favorite sites to use are [redacted] for my weekend getaways (they allow you to book the room & pay once yo7 arrive or cancel without being charged generally within 48 hours of the reservation) PLUS I use [redacted]..a lot ....I Love them for the convenence of Easy Pays without any interest....I have purchased from them for the last 2 years and recived cash back on every. computer, cell phone, television & cooking appliance I have purchased.....their cash back percentages generally vary anywhere from 2-6% PLUS they offer Easy Pays which means a $600 laptop would break down into 6 easy pays of $100 & plus if it was 3% cash back I would receive $18 just for clicking one little button before I place my order. You will be surprised how quickly the checks add up. I get 4 checks a year in the mail or you can have them sent to a PayPal account. .....either way its cold hard cash! I tell everyone about Ebates. ..why wouldn't you join? Just Click this link & you can help me earn even more CASH! G♡♡D Luck making your own cash back! I wish I had stayed a member every year I was a mom even if I only made $100 each year I would have made at least $1600 cash back by now.♡ Just think of what you could do with that :)

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I don't accept! How did I abuse their referral program? Here is their program from their website as of today, 12/18/2015:
How Our Referral Program Works
Ebates will pay you for every new member you refer to our site who then shops at our partner merchant sites - see "qualified referral" below. While we love them too, pets, minor children and imaginary friends don't qualify, nor do referrals to friends or housemates who don't actually do their own shopping via their own account on Ebates.com.
A "qualified referral" is a new member of Ebates referred by you that signs up at Ebates.com during the referral period starting October 1st, 2015 and ending December 31st, 2015 and that complies with the rules set forth below. If a qualified referral makes purchases totaling $25 or more that earn cash back within one year following signing up, Ebates will pay you a $5 "Base Bonus" for each such qualified referral and you will be eligible for an additional one-time "Tier Bonus" for the referral period based on the total number of such qualified referrals you generate and the Tier Bonus table then in effect. You will receive the highest Tier Bonus for which you qualify in the table above. Your Tier Bonus will be added to your Ebates account at the conclusion of this promotion. A qualified referral must be generated using (i) your custom referral link, (ii) the invitation forms on this page or (iii) other methods supplied by Ebates that allow for proper tracking of referrals. The following is a non-exhaustive list of activities that are not permitted and that will disqualify you from earning Bonuses: (i) self-referral, (ii) posting your referral link on any Ebates merchant's Facebook or forum page, (iii) keyword bidding for the purpose of generating traffic to pages containing your referral link, and (iv) any similar activity determined by Ebates in its sole discretion to be inconsistent with the purpose of the Ebates Tell-A-Friend Program. Ebates decisions are final. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. This referral bonus promotion is open only to individuals who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico and are at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Please provide your reasoning that I abused your program. This is principle, not the money!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/29) */
Hello,
At this time we show all 3 orders you referred to have been credited. When orders are not automatically reported to us we must investigate them with the merchants to ensure proper credit is being given and that the terms and...

conditions are being met. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further.

I was initially pleased when the first lure paid off and I received a $10 Walmart gift card as promised. However, since I joined about two months ago, I'm appalled to see that there is most certainly an ongoing deception and scam with this company. Specifically, the cash back percentage indicated through the browser extension at the time of purchase NEVER MATERIALIZES - instead, you get a lower amount than what was promised. I've made multiple purchases in the past couple of months and EVER SINGLE TIME the cash back I received was noticeable lower. While the individual amounts aren't enormous, they certainly add up. For me, personally, I estimate that Ebates has shortchanged me by at least 30% of what I was supposed to get this month alone. Multiply that by who knows how many site-wide users and this really seems like a very, very shady and unethical way to do business.

What makes the whole thing even more suspicious is the lengthy, ridiculously complicated way that Ebates expects you to detail the issues you have with a payout that isn't in the amount that you should be getting. They very obviously realize that most people won't have the time to deal with that and then they get away with it.

Case in point: this month alone, I noticed a discrepancy in the cash back both per transaction and listed as "pending" on my Ebates account for a total of more than half a dozen purchases. Ebates expects you to send them the EXACT DETAILS of each transaction, including the order confirmation, break down of each item ordered etc - basically everything - for each transaction you have a problem with. In my case, I would have to do that 6 or more times, each time going through the same customer service contact form.

I've also noticed that the notifications I get in my email don't match with what comes up on the browser extension, and the amount varies even with the notifications of the extension itself. Mine went down by over $10 earlier today for no apparent reason - no payout has been made.

Last but not least: I've fallen prey to the very same scam they've been running with a pop-up message that tell you that you're going to get $25 for referring 1 person and that person gets $10. What they don't tell you is that (a) you don't get anything unless that person makes a purchase and (b) there's a tiered scale based on which you *supposedly* get the reward. Talk about complete misrepresentation!!

BOTTOM LINE: use with extreme caution, keep tabs on everything because chance are they're basically ripping everyone off. Personally, I'll see how things turn out in the next couple of days...but if this keeps happening that I'm not getting anywhere near the amount of cash back promised, I'm pulling the plug.
