Excellent experience with the entire team at Empire Today! Easy appointment scheduling & very knowledgeable sales rep with extremely confident & skilled installers. Will definitely recommend to others.

Very positive experience from ease of scheduling to installation. I highly recommend Empire Today for carpet installation

I had laminate floors put in by Empire Today. Beautiful job done by an extremely respectful crew of 3. I just had to remove all the knick knacks and lamps, other small items and they moved all the furniture. I had 3 rooms and a hallway done in one day, from about 10 am to 530 pm. Job was done very well. My only issue was that the salesperson did not inform me of the price per foot of the selection I made and that this floor could be scratch plus I had to use a special Cleaner, that water would actually hurt the floor.. other then that, I am completely satisfied with my experience with the company..

I hired Empire to install Vinyl laminate flooring in our bathroom. They processed our money the same day. Ironically, taking your money is the only thing that Empire is able to do quickly and correctly. The installer came out and only did half of the bathroom floor leaving the other half with the original tile that came with the house. He left a small drop in the floor with the tile being higher than the vinyl flooring he installed. After weeks of complaining, being put on hold and told no manager was available, customer service people who are unable to make sense of the notes from the computer and having consultants re-look at the floor, I was told by an Empire manager that they couldn't fix it and we would be sent a refund check in the mail. After more phone calls, no refund check was ever sent out. The only money refunded was part of the flooring fee through the credit card after filing a complaint through the credit card company.
I then sent a certified, sign for receipt letter to the Atlanta and Illinois (headquarters) offices. The Atlanta one came back undeliverable. The Illinois later was received. I then got a call from a customer service manager who said a manager would come out (another consultant) to look at the floor and that although a manager told me we could have a refund, that was not how the company policy works. Then they sent another installer out, so we demanded a "manager" to do the consultation as we were promised. The manager then came out who later said Empire would fix the floor. However, he said there would be a minimal fee for labor and that he would work with us regarding the additional cost. I told him we were unwilling to give Empire more money. He told me he would get back to me this week. I emailed and left him a voicemail message. I have yet to hear back from him. I am now filing through magistrate court to see if we can get our money back. I guess Empire would rather pay the cost to send a lawyer to court than to give us our money back.

Do not even get an estimate from this company. They are outrageous with a low quote and then a 400.00-600.00 dollar difference in a small job. Beware!

We got all new carpet in bedrooms. Beautiful laminate in our living room and LVT with grout in our kitchen. We are so thrilled with the whole process with empire!!!!

I have to say, the company's sales manager stepped up and stepped in, [redacted] was VERY patient and went above and beyond to make sure my initial bad experience was turned around for the better. I am very satisfied with the outcome, my carpet looks great, finally, all thanks goes to the wonderful sales manager [redacted], my entire house is carpet, and they did a small portion, but thanks to him, Ill come back to carpet more !

I don't have a negative about Empire as much as I do about the salesperson Woody [redacted]. I have used Empire at my house in PA many times and have spent a lot of money with them. When I needed to change my floors in a mobile home in DE I first got a quote from [redacted]. I then wondered if Empire covered my area. They did. The salesperson quoted me a matching proposal to [redacted] which he said included under layment. The installers came without it and Empire said that they stopped using the under layment months before. In my ** quote it was almost $1,000 for this. The salesperson said that the Quiet Walk was included but he had no idea that they had stopped using and he would get me a credit. Now I cannot get him to answer my calls or emails. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Do NOT use Empire in the [redacted] DE area. Not as much because of the company but because of the salesperson. Empire needs to fix this. His card says [redacted], Woody [redacted] DE 19966

The sales representative and the installers were knowledgable and informative. I am very satisfied with the end product.

I called Empire for a free estimate.....A representative came to my home on 11-17-2016 and gave me an estimate. I was very pleased with the price and the new wood laminate floor that I had chosen. I scheduled the installation to be done today, 11-21-2016. The representative, David, and I went over payment options and I decided to finance. My Daughter and I discussed the possibility of financing earlier in the day and she wanted to finance in her name if we went that direction, to build her credit. However, she was at work when David was here to get her information for the credit check. So, David asked that she text him her information no later than 11-18-2016, he would run her credit then and we would go from there. The next day my Daughter called him because she was uncomfortable texting her information and SS number. There was no answer so she left a voicemail asking that he call back as soon as possible. After waiting most of the day for a return phone call from David, she texted him the information that he needed because It was getting late and she had to go back to work. We were told that if he didn't have that information on the 18th that I would lose that estimate and I would not be able to have the floor installed before Thanksgiving. I have family coming to stay with us for Thanksgiving, so it was very important to us to have the installation complete as there is only a sub-floor in our livingroom at this time. And this is why my Daughter went ahead and texted all of her information even though it made her uncomfortable. She never received a text, phone call, or voicemail that night or the following day. I called him twice over the weekend and never received a call back. I texted him......still no response. I had no idea if we were getting the floor or not. Monday morning, two men came to install the floor. We were so happy, and excited! We started moving the furniture out of the living room and the two gentlemen started to bring to floor in. Then, one of the gentlemen stopped bringing the floor in to get me to sign some paperwork, as I was signing he asked for the entire balance to be paid up front. My heart sank and I told him that it was to be financed. There were no notes in his paperwork stating that, so he called his supervisor who also stated that there was nothing indicating that I, nor my Daughter was planning on financing the floor. At this point the tears started and I couldn't stop them to save me life. One of the gentlemen made a phone call to a representative and handed me his phone. I told him everything that happened leading up to this point, I'm not sure how much he actually understood because I just couldn't control my crying. He tries to call David but there was no answer. He calls his supervisor who tries to call David, still no answer. He then tells me that someone will be calling to try and resolve this. The two men leave but promise to come back today if it is resolved. I waited for two hrs......no one called. So, I call the 800 number and speak to someone....she tries to call David and as usual no answer. She then tells me that a supervisor will be calling me. That was two hours ago. It has now been four hours since they left and I have given up all hope. I'll be calling my family to call off our plans for Thanksgiving. I can't have them over when I don't have a floor in the living room. It's ugly and I'm embarrassed by it. It's been years since Ive seen some of my family, I just can't have them over with my home looking like this. I'm hurt, I'm disappointed, I'm mad, and I'm frustrated. I've heard good things about this company but my experience has absolutely been terrible and at this point, I don't even want them to install the floor, they have lost my trust. I will not be recommending this company to anyone and will tell anyone who asks what my experience was. I have never dealt with a company so unprofessional that they would rather leave a client in tears and in limbo rather than return a phone call.

I was very pleased with their service and the installation went very well. The carpet installers were very efficient and neat. Good transaction.

I have had Empire Today do work several times at my house and the wood floors they installed look great; but when they mess up, it gets real messy. I had some wood floors installed on the 9th of June and was scheduled to have bathroom tile installed the next day on the 10th. The floor had recently been tiled, but seemed to be cracking. I suspected that maybe the floor had a dip or bend and questioned the installer about whether or not he could properly tile it and he assured me that he could. After about five hours he had to leave and go to another job, but he said that he would be back in a few hours. He called later and said that he could not make it, but asked if 6:30 the next morning would work. This was far too early, so we agreed on 2:00. My wife and I sat around waiting for him and I finally called Empire around 4:00. They could not get in touch with the installer so I had to wait until Monday before I could talk to anyone.

My bathroom was unusable the whole time as the tile was not finished and my toilet was in my shower. Someone called me about 10:00 AM on Monday. My installer had been fired and nothing further could be done for me on Monday. Tuesday I had a doctor's appointment, but Empire made it to my house Wednesday the 15th. I showed him how the tile looked crooked and after he pulled up some of the tile told me that the subfloor had some bounce and tile would not really work...which I had specifically asked the first installer about. So I had him remove all the tile which left the bathroom with just the subfloor and toilet still in the shower...so still unusable. On Thursday the 16th I had the salesman back out and price me for the vinyl installation. They agreed to do it for the same price as the tile, for which I had already paid in full. My appointment was made for Saturday the 18th, so I was over a week unable to use my bathroom.

On Saturday, the installer (Joe K[redacted]) got the vinyl floor put in and I was checking it out but thought the toilet was not set right. I told him it was loose and he said that it just needed to settle on the wax seal (which sounded funny to me). I figured that I would tighten the bolts myself and just wanted the installers gone, so I signed off on the paperwork. Almost immediately after they left, I noticed two plastic washers from the toilet had been left on my sink. I got my socket and was attempting to tighten the two bolts holding the toilet to the floor when I noticed the bolts were just too small. I called the installer back and he assured me that he had put the washers on (which he had not) and that the bolts were fine and just needed to be tightened. I went back and looked and showed my wife that the toilet would actually lift off the floor or fall over, since the bolts were the wrong size. I called the technician back and said that he needed to properly install my toilet and after a bit of back and forth he said he would come back in the morning. I talked with my wife though and we both figured that in the morning the installer would not be any more competent at his job, so I called a plumber and left a voice mail (as he was not answering now)for the installer to not come back.

The plumber showed up on Sunday, so besides the normal pricey plumber rates we got charged a special Sunday rate. Besides the obvious problem of the toilet not being seated properly, the plumber told me that the Empire Today technician had actually installed a new wax seal while leaving the old one on. The two seals had almost clogged the toilet only leaving about half an inch of clearance. If the toilet had been flushed with anything more than water, it would have backed up.

I called Empire Today on the 20thth of June to file a complaint. I had not heard back from them by the next day, so I called again. It seems that they had called back on the 19th, but they called while I was out mowing and did not leave a message for me to call them back. Nobody even attempted to call me on the 21st, even though I called the help line again. They have shown an unwillingness or inability to even talk with me through this whole process. The big problem is that Empire Today hires subcontractors, some of which are great, while others should not be allowed to be working unsupervised in the homes of customers. They also do not seem to have an effective way of dealing with problems when they happen. I have spent more time writing this complaint than anyone at Empire Today (besides help desk people) has talked with me about the problems, but what I understand from the help desk is that they are sorry...they are sorry each and every time something happens. That should be Empire Today's slogan--"We're Sorry"...and you might be sorry as well if you get an incompetent subcontractor through Empire Today.

On 5/27/2016 Sale representative Jamar [redacted] promised my wife and I that the screwing down and tightening of the sub-floors was included within the quote for the carpet install during the sale consultation. My wife and I even told the installers that this was included, but I doubt if they understood what we were telling them because they didn't speak English, so it was hard to communicate with them from the start. So once they finished the install on 6/4/2016, I noticed that they hadn't screwed or nailed down the loose sub-floors. First I contacted Empire's installation department to explain this problem and was told that the person I needed to talked to was gone for today and she would have her return my called tomorrow 6/14/2016. After I didn't receive a call back I contacted the customer service department on 6/15/2016 and spoken to Danielle and was informed that this was not included in the quotecontract for the install and that they can do it for an additional price. Basically the sale representative Jamar [redacted] was not being honest with my wife and I and lied to us by stating that the sub-floor work was included in order to get our business. Basically all I want Empire to do is come do the work that I paid them for that should have been included within the install price. I feel that Empire didn't abide by our installation agreement event though it was verbally. Basically I spent $4,710.64 for an incomplete job that left my sub-floors still screeching and making noise that the sale representative saw and experience during the sale consultation. It's really sad because I was planning to have Empire do the laminate installation for my basement for $9,000.00 in about two months, but this bad experience has shown me that they are not to be trusted and I can't believe any of their sales promises. Also, they didn't install any molding transition in one of the bedrooms where the different types of carpet join together.

I have just had my fourth installation by Empire- I continue to be pleased with their prices, selection and personnel. In the last 12 months they have installed laminate flooring in two rental properties. Their salesmen and installers were capable, courteous and very much a pleasure to work with. I will use them again definitely.

Terrible customer service. Didn't show up for instalation and didn't even call me. I had to call them and the wonderful gentleman thought it a good idea to hang up on me because I was upset! Never will deal with them again!!

we recently had kitchen roll vinal and a family room rug installed. The whole process was so smooth and quick. We were very impressed with the product the salesman and the installers.

Sched appt for carpet installation quote on Tues, Aug 11, 9-11 am. Rec'd call at 8am cancelling - nobody to send for quote. Resched for Wed, Aug 12 9-11 am. Rec'd call at 8am cancelling - nobody to send for quote. I called to complain. While on hold, I heard about 2 million satisfied customers. Well, there won't be 2 million + one. We were inconvenienced two days in a row. Poor, poor customer service. Appts should not be scheduled as they do not exist. Will never use this company and will make my thoughts known to "my" public.

We ordered floors over a week ago. They were supposed to be installed today. They never showed up after confirming it by phone 5 days prior and by email the day before. I have been on the phone all day and still do not know when they are officially coming. After leaving my sales rep multiple messages I have still had received no phone call back. The installation people and customer service have no official answer for me.To say I am appalled is an understatement. Our entire first floor and master were supposed to have hardwood installed. My house is a mess, and it's 4 days before Christmas and I have family coming into town. I have never had such a horrible customer service experience in my entire life.

A good experience all around. The salesperson was straightforward, the installation was scheduled promptly and the installation crew was very professional and did a fine job. The installed product looks great.
