We purchased a contract from [redacted] , dealer, on April 8, to finance the fee the dealer charges to work with the Department of Education (DOE) to refinance or consolidate student loans The customer had three days to cancel the transaction from the date of the agreement The contract is dated March 31, and the cancellation date was April 4, The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance (EAC) is not involved and clearly states the dealer offers a service of helping to navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy We also have a recorded verification call where this transaction was explained to, and agreed to by the customer If there is an issue with the dealer who offered and did the service, the customer needs to contact them at 855-880- We will expect the customer to fulfill her obligation to us to avoid a negative reporting to the credit bureaus

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt The dealer and customer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offing a service of helping to navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy Any solicitation done to create this transaction was done by the dealer, we do not work with customers to do these accounts The dealer also did a verification call which was recorded where the customer agreed to the transaction, and understood Equitable Acceptance's role in the process We received notice from the dealer on August 7, to cancel this account, which we did that dayThe customer no longer has any obligation to us

Attached are the documents signed by the customer to work with [redacted] (dealer) This document was completed prior to Equitable Acceptance being involved in the process to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us If the customer has an issue with her student loans, she must contact the dealer at ###-###-#### pr ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because: I'm not paying anymore money to a company that works with scam artist and I'll dispute it with the credit bureaus myself Because they know they have several complaints with the same company through you all

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan bureaucracy We have a recorded verification call done with the customer explaining the transaction, and the customer agreed to the transaction The customer paid payments on the account, which would suggest that they agreed to the transaction When the second year of certification need to be completed by the dealer, the customer stopped making payments The dealer was offering to help with this process as part of the initial fee charged However, since the customer stopped making payment to us, this account was charged off The customer has no further obligation to us

I am rejecting this response because: The telephone number provided to me by Melanie from Equitable Acceptance for the dealer, [redacted] on 10/17/17, is a non working number just as all the other numbers have been On 10/17/at I called the number twice I waited a couple of days and tried it again still nothing Today I called again and the automated machine suggested I leave a voicemail or email Studentsupport.US The automated answering system did not identify the company Student "advisors" is the company I originally started with Andrew [redacted] was the initial contact person This is a scam I should have done better research to begin with, but felt like I had I got most of my information when I delved deeper into the situation from the Revdex.com

Equitable Acceptance does not work on the status of student loans We purchased a contract from the dealer who worked with the Department of Education to put you into the best program for the customer's financial situation This is an annual re-certification the dealer has offered to help the customer with The customer must contact the dealer to check on the status of the student loans The agreement signed by the customer with us is for the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy The effect of the customer's credit bureau because of student loan debt is not controlled by us If the student loan processor is reporting incorrectly, this must be address with them

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on May 12, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy A copy of this agreement is attached We also have a recorded verification call done with the customer explaining the transaction the customer agreed to We also have a signed authorization to deduct money from the checking account to make the payments for this loan We look forward to having the customer fulfilling his obligation to us

We purchased a contract from Student Advocates (dealer) on July 23, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt The customer has paid all her payments through automatic deduction from her checking account The July 5, payment was returned to us by her bank as NSF on July We attempted to run the check on the 5th and 6th, but the bank did not accept them When we received the NSF check back from her bank, we added a $NSF fee to her account The customer sent us a copy of her bank statement and our collection department reviewed and determined the customer did not have enough funds in the account until July Also, the statement shows that her bank charged her $for the NSF fee, not EquitableThe customer returned our call on July and this was all explained to her after speaking with four of our representativesShe paid the July payment with us on July 12, with a credit card and was charged a $convenience fee to use the credit card, which she agreed to prior to processing the payment We apologize if the customer thought we were rude, disrespectful, or unhelpful, this is not our intention Our collection staff works with customer's to repay debt, and on occasion may come across this way in order to get a customer to make payments The disputed $appears to be a fee her bank charged her and she would need to take that up with them

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) for the customer for the fee the dealer charges to do a serviceThe service is to work with the Federal Government to consolidate their student loansWe have nothing to do with the student loans, but rather we helped the customer finance the fee the dealer chargedThe payments were set up to have automatic payments paid to us from the customer's checking accountWe received four on time payments and the last payment due February was returned to us as unpaid by her bankThe documents signed by the customer were done electronically through a third party signature companyThis account is presently in a past due status because the last payment not paidWe look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to usFailure to pay this account may lead to a negative reporting to the credit bureaus

The loan documents electronically signed by the customer show payments for this account at $per month The payments have not and will not change, they are the same until the loan is paid in full Again, the agreement for consolidation and re-certification is between the customer and MTCSL, Corp (dealer) If there is a question about what services the dealer is to perform on behalf of the customer, they must be address with the dealer

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12266511, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI guess I did not understand that I was paying over a grand for someone to submit an application that I can submit myself within minutesIt's sad that they allow this to happen

We purchased a contract from ***, Corp (dealer) on June 2, for the customer to finance the document preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance is not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy Equitable Acceptance did not contact this customer regarding their student loans, that would have been the dealer If the customer has an issue with the outstanding student loans she needs to contact the dealer(Timothy [redacted] is not an employee of Equitable Acceptance.)

I have attached copies of the electronically signed documents this customer signed with [redacted] (dealer) They also have a recorded verification call completed with the customer which the customer agreed to the terms of the transaction and agreed to the loan with Equitable Acceptance The dealer is the one who contacted the customer to assist with the student loan relief process on the customer's behalf We will not be cancelling or refunding any money to the customer We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us to avoid any negative reporting to the credit bureaus

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meThis issues is clearly a misunderstanding of the nature of this businessIn truth, it appears that the advance made to finance the documentation process is in line with what [redacted] originally informed meThe companies involved in these transaction should detail the effects of their actions to customers to avoid these confusions for even within the recorded call, there is a confirmation of the actions taken but no explanation of its after-effectsEach action and its consequences should be detailed for the customer in order to make a well informed decision I, however, recognize that Equitable Acc is not in the teaching business and is a company with its own goalsAs such, I find this resolution satisfactory to me to the extent that is possible

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/11/19) */ We purchased a contract from [redacted] to finance the service they provided for the customerThe service is that they will work with the government to refinance existing student loan debtThis loan is separate of the amount owed for the student loansWe do not work with the customer or the government, this is all done by [redacted] It sounds like the issue here is with [redacted] since they were working with the customer about the student loan refinancingIf there is any questions about the student loans, they must be directed to [redacted] Our account needs to be paid along with any new student loan debtWe look forward to having the customer fulfill their obligation to usWe would encourage the customer to pay this account as they agreed so their credit bureau does not become negatively affected

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on August 16, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable was not involved and clearly stated the dealer offered a service to help navigate the student debt relief bureaucracy The first payment was due November 25, which was paid by electronic withdrawal from the customer's account and was authorized by the customer when she signed the documents We have no record of talking to the customer about this account Perhaps she was talking to someone at the dealer or student loan servicer? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

I am rejecting this response because: Equitable Acceptance never refinanced through my loans from my previous provider, and no other arrangements were made to have me set up with a new oneEquitable Acceptance has continued to charge me each month for their "services;" while my loans through Fed Services went into defaultI called Fed Services and they knew nothing, nor had they ever been contacted by Equitable Acceptance; yet, they graciously helped me get my loans out of default and back into repayment, which is why I am choosing to stay with this company at this timeEquitable Acceptance promised during our phone correspondence that their payment would be one of two payments coming from my account; that within a month to a month and a half of my first payment to them, they would have my loans refinanced and I would be getting a bill for approximately $per month and that payment would go toward my loan balanceEvery time I tried to call Equitable Acceptance, I ended up being put into my "Account Rep's" voicemail and was not called back until in November when I made a big deal of the situation and informed the individual on the phone that I wished to cancel my account and would no longer be making payments to themI feel they have neglected to live up to their end of the deal, and I do not feel I have received any services helping my situation; however, I have consistently paid them $each month since JulyUpon again letting the company know via email that I wished to cancel my account, they sent me the attached email telling me that my account had been canceled, yet now they claim to look forward to letting me "fulfill my obligation to them." I do not feel it is my obligation to fulfill anything to them, as they have not provided me the services promised on their end; and furthermore, since no services were ever provided to me, I would like to request back all payments made to Equitable Acceptance to date, $

I am rejecting this response because: For more than a month, I have been unable to reach anyone from [redacted] .On April 12, after filing a claim with Revdex.com, I receive a call from someone named, Robert, who left a voicemail stating he was a representative with [redacted] He called from a ###-###-#### He left a ###-###-#### number I returned his call within the hour (called both numbers) and received no response since After receiving The Revdex.com business response, I have called both numbers for the past two days The ###-###-#### number just rings and the ###-###-#### goes to the same mailbox from about different numbers I've received from Equitable Acceptance which says all representatives are busyEquitable Acceptance claims to be in partnership with this company, but they have yet to provide a representative from [redacted] that I can speak with to rectify this issue I have asked them to transfer me, and they put a "mediation specialist" on the line who was very aggressive and stated she knew [redacted] 's policies I explained that if she is not affiliated with [redacted] , there was no need to speak with herShe hung up on me I cannot find this company online One representative I spoke to said the company has been purchase my a company called [redacted] [redacted] is Equitable Acceptance They are using this fake company name so they do not have to issue a refund

I am rejecting this response because: This business has several complaints on them about how they will try to help someone with consolidation of loansThis company has asked for money down and was given the money to start the consolidation processWhen someone goes into consolidation of college loans a down payment is not requiredThis is now on my creditI have to pay them and the loans that they consolidated so basically I am paying on my loans twice because I have to give this business the monthly payment then I have to pay on my loans threw Navient loan because this company does not do their jobThis business has told me on several occasions that this is for a lifetime and that every years I have to re enrollI advised them that I wanted to cancel; the business advised me that they will not do so and that the business will remain on my credit report as well for I have to continue to pay what I still owe them.Plus pay Navient at the same timeI want this canceledOff my credit and my money backIt is very unfair that I have given them money to pay on my student loans and I have to pay them and Navient loans at the same timeon the same account because this company will not do their jobI want this off my credit and this canceled and my money backI will keep this claim open until my request is met
