Equitable Acceptance Corporation Reviews (369)

We purchased a contract from [redacted] , (dealer) on June 20, 2017 for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt. The customer and dealer entered into a... written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy. We also have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to purchase which indicated the customer understood the role of Equitable Acceptance in this acceptance. We do not cancel accounts in our office. Currently the first payment is set to be paid on September 15, 2017. This may be changed to a later date by the dealer if the consolidation process is not completed by the dealer. We are sure an attorney will explain the legal obligation to us for this loan. We look forward to having the customer fulfilling their obligation to us.

I am rejecting this response because: When I contacting the Department of Education concerning this matter, they emphatically told me they had no record of me even being involved with a second hand program for assistanceI then felt I was being taken advantage of and the bottom line is EA never told me this money was not going towards my loanWhy would I pay a second hand company when I could put that money on the principle and not the interest? I have chose to no longer deal with EAFrom here on out, the money I put out will got towards the loan itself

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on October 21, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan bureaucracy The dealer is who this customer has been working with, we have not spoken to this customer since we quoted a payoff on January 9, The dealer had offered to work with the customer for four years of re-enrollments We have been informed by the dealer the initial consolidation was complete, any further enrollments need to be verified with the dealer We thank the customer for keeping her account with us in a current status If there is any issues with the student loans, please address them with the dealer

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on June 14, for the customer to finance the document preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loans The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was non involved and clearly states the customer agrees to pay for the service the dealer was going to do to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy The dealer has many programs available and can find the best one for the customer We have been notified by the dealer that the work on the student loans has been completedIf there is an issue with that, the customer needs to contact the dealer We have found that the Fed Loan representatives are not always truthful in what they tell customer's to try to keep the loans from being refinanced or consolidated We look forward to the customer fulfilling their obligation to us so we do not have to report negatively to the credit bureaus The accounts are reporting as a revolving account on the credit bureau as this is the only way the credit bureau will receive our reporting There is no credit card involved with this transaction

I am rejecting this response because: The claims that are being made are falseI never received the goods which I signed up forThis is Domestic Terrorism, and completely illegal, although somehow these companies are flying under the radarThey are holding me accountable for paying for goods which I never received, and threatening my credit with itAnybody can look at all the complaints filed against them and see that this is a criminal organization, or, if they are legit, they are doing business with a criminal organization, and should be held accountableThe Federal Government will have to intervene if they will not comply Regarding the phone number provided, I have called dozens of timesMost of the time it goes straight to a "generic voicemail," and the call is never returnedIt is obviously a scam, and Equitable Acceptance by claiming they are a "third party" is obviously colluding with them and this is how they are getting away with fraud and robberyI invite anybody to call that number that Equitable keeps on giving to meOut of nearly three dozen phone calls, I had ONE answered by chanceWhen I explained my concern, the girl was very nice, but said she is not in the "correct department," and would take a message to have "customer service call me back." Needless to say this never happened, and they are continuing to elude the victimsI, too have recorded voice calls, and documents which outline the terms of the negotiation...which were never met on the seller's partNow the creditor should refund my money and break ties with this "Student Advisors" company, if they truly are not criminals, that isIf they are committing these Federal Crimes intentionally, then of course they will not do some work on their own end and contact the people they claim to be a "legitimate business partner."

We purchased a contract from [redacted] ***, aka [redacted] ("dealer") on January 18, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan bureaucracy The dealer has many programs to choose from to enter the customer into the best program based on their financial situation The dealer also offered to manage the student loans and re-enroll into programs for four years While the customer could do this service for free, they enlisted the dealer to help them and signed documents to finance the fee involved Since the customer stopped making payments on this account in August of 2016, we cancelled the loan and reassigned back to the dealer At this time, the customer has no obligation to Equitable Acceptance

I am rejecting this response because: This company " [redacted] " did not do a thing I regards to my student loans. I never heard from them and was never contacted by anyone regarding my student loans. I refuse to pay equitable acceptance because they did not do a thing either. It is all a scam and a way to make free money by NOT helping anyone, which is what they did. I just want to cancel all interaction with these people. Instead I handled my loans myself and found a company to help me.

I have attached a letter to the consumer stating we do not have an account for her at EquitableI also mailed a copy to her via USPS The dealer who accessed her credit file through a third party process to see if the consumer qualified for a loan to consolidate her student loans, did not process the request any further and did not send us any paperwork to process

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/03/09) */ We purchased a contract from Progress Advocates (dealer) on August 19, for the customer to finance the service they provided to refinance the customer's student loans with the Department of EducationThe amount of the loan is for the fee the dealer charges to do the paperwork on behalf of the customerThe documents signed by the customer clearly state this is a Revolving Credit Plan and there is interest being charged in the amount of 1.5% per monthIt appears the dealer may have misled the customer with stating there is no interest being chargedWe will not cancel this account and look for the customer to fulfill her obligation she has with us Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2016/03/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I am not going to accept this, you are exactly right, except I wasn't misled I was lied too!

We do not find this customer in our system based on the information provided If we can see a copy of the credit bureau showing our inquiry we could do further investigation to see if the inquiry was authorized

The late fee was adjusted off the account on May 12, The customer should be able to see this on our website when she signs into her account The account is presently owing for the May 15, payment, and will have a late fee assessd if the payment is not recived by May 25,

I am rejecting this response because: I was told that my student loan was going to be paid off not refinance or consolidate but to be paid off and that was not the caseI was also never told that there was this being sent to a another third-party individual on different company for this money that I had to be paid I was told it was going to be done to that company that I was dealing with and that is not the case and then all of a sudden these people popped up it is obvious that the company that they're dealing with is a fraudulent company and I want my money back

I am rejecting this response because: I don't feel that this company has provided me with legit businessTherefore you are aware that they are just taking students money and not performing to the best interest at handYou are just as illegal as themI just want my money returned and you get your money from them as your working with them anywayYou were contracted to help students as well an what have you done??? Nothing but collect money

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on July 18, for the customer to pay the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states that the dealer was offering a service to navigate the student loan bureaucracy on behalf of the customer We also have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to purchase which explained Equitable's role in this transaction If there is an issue with the student loans the customer needs to contract the dealer to resolve We look forward to having the customer fulfilling his obligation to us to repay the loan for the fee charged by the dealer

I am rejecting this response because:I never had any contact with anyone from [redacted] I entered into this agreement over the phone and at no time communicated with anyone from [redacted] , everI never agreed to having a new loan opened in my nameThis company intentionally misled me over the phone to believe that they would affect my student loans, that any payment to them would he going directly to my student loans and that they were affiliated with the US department of educationAll of this is untrue and it is on the grounds of advertising and lies to me about what they do which I refute the legitimacy of the contract and seek a full refund of all payments from my bank account to Equitable AcceptanceI will be reporting this loan which was opened in my name without my legal permission, as a fraudulent loan to my credit agencies later today and will additionally be filing a formal complaint with my local police agency this afternoon as wellI have reported this "business" to the US department of education and plan on continuing to bring attention to the poor practices of this company until I am refunded in full and the contract which is not legal is deemed fully void

We purchased a contract from Progress Advocates Group (dealer) on October 5, 2015 for the customer to finance the fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education (DOE) to consolidate student loans. The fee is the charge the dealer has to do the work on the customer's... behalf. The statement stating the customer feels scammed is not accurate. The customer signed documents to approve the processing of this loan. The customer signed the Credit Request Authorization, Revolving Credit Plan, and Purchase Agreement stating they agreed to the loan and will repay the obligation. We also have a recording between the dealer and customer authorizing the transaction. For the customer to stop paying on this account may lead to a negative reporting to the credit burau. Our Account Representatives would be willing to work with the customer to repay this debt if there is a problem with making the payments on time.

We purchased a contract from Feded Services, aka Student Loan Relief Department or [redacted] , on June 20, The contract was for a service they did for customer regarding her student loan restructuring We had authorization per the terms of the signed documents to deduct the monthly payment from the customer's credit card If the customer has any questions, they can reach our Customer Service department at ###-###-####, or the Customer Service department of the dealer at ###-###-####

We purchased a contract on October 13, from [redacted] (dealer) for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy We also have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to funding that explained the loan and Equitable Acceptance's role as the finance company and that the loan has nothing to do with student loan debt The contract was to pay for month management of the process This is not a one time occurance, and the process needs to be re-certified every year The dealer is offering to do this process for the customer for months This contract was for $and the current balance is $ We look forward to having the customer continuing to pay for this account to avoid any negative reporting to the credit bureaus

The customer was working with Doc Prep Today, LLC (dealer) to consolidate student loans. The dealer was given authorization to access the customer's credit bureau from the customer to determine if the dealer would be able to process the loan documentsThe inquiry was done July 26,
2016. We searched our data base an found the information on who accessed the credit bureau. We do not have an account for this person since the dealer did not send any loan documents to us for this individual. The dealer's phone number is ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:
I am completely lost as to where this "lawyer" is getting their informationI was never told SLC would assist me in finding programs nor is
that what they did for meI was told I was entering a "loan forgiveness program" in which they would act as the 3rd partyMy loan has not had any money paid toward itSo my question remains, where has my money I have paid so far gone? I tried to handle this situation myself, but it seems I will need to involve my lawyer now
