Dear Revdex.com:Our office recently received your correspondence of October 27, 2017, regarding the abovementioned consumer's personal credit report. An Extended Security Alert was added to the consumer's credit report on August 2, This message, which will expire after years,
alerts credit grantors to verify the consumer's identification in case someone is using their information without their consent.Based upon a block notification from Trans Union, the disputed *** *** *** *** account #*** *** was blocked from his Experian credit report on 04/16/At that time, we notified *** *** *** *** of Our action. In a letter to Experian, the creditor certified that they had made a reasonable determination that the consumer had received goods or services or that there had been a misrepresentation of facts by the Consumer in Connection with this accountThe letter stated that the acCOUnt was found to be legitimate and not the result of identity theft and requested that Experian reinsert the account and update the consumer's credit fileOn 08/03/the account was unblockedNotification of this action was provided via US Mail to the consumer at that time.We are currently investigating the ** *** *** and *** *** *** *** accounts with which the consumer Credit report and tells us specifically why they believe the information is inaccurate or incomplete, we process the dispute as required by lawWe contact the furnisher of the information or the vendor that collected the information from a public record source such as a court or other government office either electronically or by US MailWe ask the furnisher or the vendor to conduct a thorough and complete investigation to verify all of the information regarding the disputed item, and report back within the time frame required by lawWe review and consider the response to determine whether to accept it, reject it, or follow up for additional informationIf, after processing, we find that the disputed information is inaccurate, incomplete or cannot be verified, we then delete that information, or modify that information, as appropriate, based upon the dispute and the results of our processingIf we do not receive a response from the furnisher or the vendor within the required period, we update the item as requested or delete the information, in some instances, upon reviewing the Credit file and any relevant information submitted to us, we are able to determine whether the disputed information should be changed or deleted without having to contact the furnisher or the vendorInvestigations can take as long as days to reach a conclusionAfter we complete our processing, we send the Consumer the resultS In addition to the consumer's right to dispute information in the credit file with the Credit reporting agencies, the consumer also has the right to dispute information review the accuracy and completeness of any disputed item which may include contacting the furnisher of the information or the vendor that collected the information from a public record source, such as a court or other government office, notifying them of the disputed information and disclosing all relevant information regarding the consumer's disputeIn order to help resolve the consumer's dispute, Experian will review all relevant documents submitted by the consumer with the dispute and will forward such documents to the furnisher if Experian is unable to resolve the issue based on those documentsConsumers may also contact Creditors directly to dispute items reported by the creditorIf the issue is not resolved, then the consumer Credit reporting agency must offer to include a
