Dear Revdex.com:Thank you for your recent correspondence dated August 15, 2017, regarding the above mentioned ConsumerOur records indicate that we previously conducted an investigation regarding the disputed information and have provided the results of our investigation directly to the consumer.if a bankruptcy was dismissed or withdrawn, it appears on the consumer's personal credit report because every action that relates to credit may become part of the credit historySo even though the court did not allow the filing of the bankruptcy or the bankruptcy did not go through, the fact that the case was documented allows it to appear on the personal credit report.According to the Fair CreditReporting Act (FCRA), Section (d) (1), if a bankruptcy is withdrawn before a final judgment "the consumer reporting agency shall include in the report that such case was Withdrawn".The bankruptcy dismissed/withdrawn status will remain on the consumer's Experian credit report for seven years from the filing date.Each national consumer credit reporting agency may interpret the requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act differently and each company has their own policies and guidelines for disputing informationTherefore, we cannot update or delete information in our database based on the results of a dispute with another consumer credit reporting agency nor can we dispute information for a consumer with another consumer Credit reporting agency.If the consumer disagrees with the results of the reinvestigation, it is the consumer's legal right, under the FCRA, to add a 100-word statement specifying the nature of their disputeThe statement will appear with the item as long as the item remains on the credit reportAny further concerns regarding the disputed information may need to be directed to the data furnisher reporting this informationIf you have any additional supporting documentation regarding the disputed information, please forward that to my attention for review.According to the Fair CreditReporting Act (FCRA), a national consumer Credit reporting agency's role in the dispute process is to review the accuracy and completeness of any disputed item which may include contacting the furnisher of the information or the vendor that collected the information from a public record source, such as a court or other government office, notifying them of the disputed information and disclosing all relevant information regarding the consumer's disputeIn order to help resolve the consumer's dispute, Experian will review all relevant documents submitted by the consumer with the dispute and will forward such documents to the furnisher if Experian is unable to resolve the issue based on those documentsConsumers may also contact Creditors directly to dispute items reported by the data furnisherIf the issue is not resolved, then the Consumer Credit ; , reporting agency must offer to include a consumer statement on the personal Credit reportThank you for allowing me to assist youPlease contact our office if you have any questions.Sincerely, [redacted] Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate Experian Consumer Affairs [redacted] ***
