I have supplied Experian with additional information (1099c) from 2012 in which I had to claim this debt as income. Once a debt is claimed as income it is against the law to attempt to collect on the account and it is also against the law to report the account as if they are actively being collected on. Experian currently actively list these accounts as past due and they still list them as a current collection. There is no indication that these account have been cancelled due to the 1099c. Experian should be held responsible for this since they are the company furnishing information. All I simply ask is to update the records to correctly identify this account. Experian did not even acknowledge the 1099c proof that was provided to them. Please correct your records and update to reflect properly.
