Fictitious Business Name Renewal Center Reviews (159)

The FBNRC posed as an official invoice to renew my FBN which is expiring at the end of this yearThey claimed that I needed to pay them $in order to renew my FBN and that this was needed no later than 8/31/This is a scamI sent the $in August and it is now October and my FBN was never renewed but the check I paid them was cashed outThe check I sent to them was made to FBNRC on August 13, and was cashed out on August 20, I would not have realized that this was an issue if my city did not send me their own FBN renewal notice

I received a letter from FBNRC indicating that my business name was about to expire, just like others The form is carefully crafted to look like an official government invoice and I almost fell for it Thankfully, I decided to do some internet searching before I sealed my freshly written check in the envelope I found this Revdex.com summary right away and subsequently tore up that check I read that the company was notified by the Revdex.com in 2016, which concerns be since they are obviously still pulling the same tricks Regardless, don't send them a check!

This transaction took place at the end of March, however I did not realize what had transpired until I reviewed and checked out this company to find out what was going on
Company sent my home based business a very misleading Fictitious Business Name Expiration Notice It appeared very official and also provided a page of large bold font that indicated I needed to get the these documents back to them or my renewal would not be completed
I sent them the required forms and $150, thinking at the time that I was dealing with Contra Costa County and not a private company What they send out is designed to mislead and trick you into availing yourself of their services

I received a bill for my company's FBN renewal notice I was deceived into thinking that this is the company I was supposed to pay to keep my FBN with I then received a letter from the County I live in and when I called to tell them I already paid they said no I did not As I dug into it more I noticed that no I did not pay the County I live in I paid this company that said it was urgent I paid to keep my FBN I have called this company to get my money back and have not gotten anything resolved I paid them This is a scam!! If you google this company you will see all the scamming they are doing

I received a letter with the title, "Fictitious Business Name Renewal Center" from Compliance Filing, Inc The letter is misleading, because it may easily be confused with an official government service (such as the local Registrar often used for establishing and maintaining a fictitious business name)The letter is also misleading because it warns that the fictitious name is about to expire Although, at the very bottom of the letter it is stated that Compliance Filing's "product or service" hasn't been "approved or endorsed by any government agency" However, I feel this so called product is borderline fraud I have called Compliance Filing, Incasking them to stop sending me these letters or any communication whatsoever

Hello,
This business has sent out Fictitious Business Renewal documents that request money for the renewal that they do not take a part inOut accounting has sent them a check that was ashed by the business for services that they cannot fulfillWe would like that money returned to usIt was for the amount of $125- since we have now missed our date to file with the appropriate office we would also ask that they cover any fines that we may receive for their business practice

I received a letter from the Fictitious Business Name Renewal Center that my business Fictitious Name was going to expireI know that the Fictitious Name does not expire but I found the letter misleading because is states that the Fictitious Business Name will expire if the form is not returned by 12/31/with a $payment

I received a solicitation from the Fictitious Business Name Renewal Center (FBNRC) to renew my fictitious business name, "*** ** ***," with the Stanislaus County Recorder's OfficeI filled out the form and sent in my $fee in September I received a communication from the FBNRC on 10/11/stating they received my payment and I was to send in my Fictitious Business Name StatementI sent in the statement on 10/12/To date, this company has not sent in the paperwork to the Stanislaus County Recorder's Office and my fictitious business name expires on 2/06/I will have to prepare new paperwork and take it into the Stanislaus County Recorder's Office and pay an additional fee of $I called the FBNRC on 12/20/and left messages asking that they return my callThey never returned my call and I never spoke with anyone in person from the FBNRCI tried calling again this morning and the phone number has been disconnected or is no longer in service

In early june, I received a very official letter which had the appearance of a government-printed document which contained a bill requiring me to renew my Fictitious Business NameThe fee billed was $ I sent a check for $to this company, FBNCRC on 6/15/The check was subsequently deposited in *** *** *** in account titled: "Compliance Filing, Incdba Fictitious Business Renewal Seervices"To this date, upon review of the Orange County Clerk's office Fictitious Business Name files, no renewal of my FBN which was originally filed in has occurred
Under pretenses this company has charged an exorbitant fee and yet has provided not such advertised service

Received a letter to renew my company's fictitious name with them for a fee of $ The form states that my fictitious name expires on 4/20/which is incorrect I am not due to renew again until September My fictitious name is filed with the County of San Diego The form letter appears to be official This company had the name of my company and addressI am sure others are using this company thinking it is a regulatory agency

Received letter from "Fictitious Business Name Renewal Center" requesting payment of $for renewal of fictitious business name by 11/30/Researched this firm and discovered through Revdex.com.org that this business is a SCAM, charges significantly higher fees than the County
I no longer do business under my fictitious business name which is my First Name, Last Name, Consulting
I want my fictitious business name deleted from "Fictitious Business Name Renewal Center" list and do not want any correspondence from them going forward

Got the same letter asking for $for renewal of my Fictitious Business Name which is substantially more than I paid in the pastI noticed some of my information they pre-typed was incorrect and that it said it wasn't endorsed by an official Gov't AgencySo, I got online and typed in their name and wha-la"F" rating on the Revdex.com and complaints of people getting taken for money all over my google searchFRAUDS!!!!!

I didn't check this out ahead of time so I got caught Sent in my check and paperwork in October of Still not filed and less than a month to expire No response when I call Bummer!

We also have received this deceptive mailing which asks for $to do what the county charges $for

This is a scam business payment noticeWhy are these people not in jail?

I received a very misleading letter from this company back in July about renewing my Fictitious Name for my company This looked like an official notice so I went ahead and sent them a $check on July 20th A few months later I received the real notice from the Santa Clara Clerk office a month later and the amount was only $to renew it I called the Santa Clara Clerks office and they said that this other company that I paid should be submitting the filing on my behalf and sometimes they do it a few months later So now( November 2018) I get another letter from the Santa Clara clerk office saying that they still haven't received my filing It's been almost months since I paid this phony company and they still haven't filed my renewal that was due 11/ I would like to receive a refund ASAP from this company as I have to go in to the City to pay for this renewal now as it's past due

I am rejecting this response because: The county office will fix the original file name, but will not correct the misspelling for the renewal. Please process a renewal with the correct spelling. Thank you

I received a letter from this company in March, stating that my fictitious business name was expiring that I needed to send in the paperwork they provided by the end of the month in order for it to be renewed in time They included a completed and official county fictiious business name renewal form with all of my information on it I had never renewed my business name before and didn't realize that 3rd party companies had access to my information and sent solicitations to do it for you but for an inflated cost (about 3x the price) Their paperwork looked official and mislead me to believe that I was renewing with the county, not a private business If I had known that, I would never have sent in the paperwork and my money They send out their renewal reminder months in advance, prior to the county sending out their reminder notice, (which is strategic and clever) so I had no idea that I was doing business with an outside company It was only when I called my county to see if t

My husband received what appeared to be a bill from Compliance Filings for $He called to pay it, a few days after it said it was "due."
According to Title 39, United States Code, Section 3001, it is illegal to mail solicitations which could reasonably be construed as a bill, invoice, or statement of account due unless a disclaimer is present, reading: “THIS IS A SOLICITATION FOR THE ORDER OF GOODS OR SERVICES, OR BOTH, AND NOT A BILL, INVOICE, OR STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT DUEYOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO MAKE ANY PAYMENTS ON ACCOUNT OF THIS OFFER UNLESS YOU ACCEPT THIS OFFER.”
I've tried calling the number online, and I've left voicemails at extensionsThere isn't a billing department that I can callThe mailer that we received was a scam- and I want to be immediately refunded the fee we paid
Thank you

So misleading!
