On [redacted] October me and my husband ordered some perfumes from fragrancex.com. We were charged £12.89 for international shipping as calculated by shipping fee calculator when placing the order. However the company (DHL) that delivered the parcel wants an additional payment of £32 thus increasing the cost of the order by 1/*. We live in the UK. There were no indication of any additional cost of the delivery on the website at the moment of placing the order.

When I've asked the customer service to clarify this issue all I've got was a standart reply saying that taxes and duties are outsite of their control and therefore they can't be more helpful.

Upon searching the Internet I came across many sites with negative reviews from the people who live in Europe and have had exactly the same problem with the additional delivery charge. One of the sites for example is [redacted].

Under the UK law it's illegal not to disclose the total cost of the products or not to give all the price information or the manner in which the price be calculated upfront as well as any extra fees. All written terms must be transparent and in plain language and there is an obligation on the seller to insure that. Thus online shoppers will not have to pay charges or any other costs if they were not properly informed before they place an order (section 68 Consumer Right Act in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2014).

Section 27 of Consumer Rights Act in accordance with the European Regulations EC 593/2008 provides that a contract with a consumer habitually living in the UK will be governed by UK law.

worst online website ever !!! please help me to file a complaint, I am exhausted.

It has been almost two months (when 2016.1.** comes) since my order (order number [redacted]) placed on its website (FragranceX.com) on 2015.11.**. And I still did not receive my goods.

1) this is the worst purchase experience online in U.S. (the others are fine and I get my goods in time).

2) the customer service (terrible) has ignored what my requests all the time, try to find all unexisted excuses.

3) no shipment record updated since 2015.11.** (the recent records is still pending with location in U.S.,while this is an international package, SO the website missed the promise that it will arrive at customers on time).

4) no custom issues happened and I did not receive any phone calls.

5) the website refused to contact with the carrier agency to get further details. (is this package even existing? actually I found out so many complaints connected with its delivery on Revdex.com homepage.)

By far, I only want to get my lost money back. it's about trust and building the healthy internet environment.

I sincerely hope this company could solve its service problem.

When contacting FragranceX, I was told to ask my bank to solve this.

So I came to my bank (CIBC) and I was told to solve this with the retailer. At least I asked for the bank statement showing these two chargers, which are signed by a CIBC employee.

I contacted FragranceX and again I was told there was only one payment (by my name, or by email).

FragranceX said that only one order was made, on the other hand the bank states clearly that two payments went to FragranceX.

When I asked at CIBCto contact the retailer directly, I was told they do not do that and I've to solve it myself.

The amounts are slightly different (probably because of different CAN to USD exchange rate).Desired Settlement: Send the refund and check, if their accountant is not their black sheep.

The address is the same address used in previous seven orders with absolutely no problem. The order was sent via [redacted] with tracking number [redacted], but was never delivered. On the contrary, the package was returned to their premises on December[redacted], and my credit card was refunded with $58.67, even though the order total was $75.60. They took my money because the courier they chose failed to deliver the package and returned it to them. All of my previous orders to the same address were delivered on time with no problem when they used [redacted]. They do not give me the choice to choose the courier.

Review: I chose the free shipping option as it seemed a good deal, however what they didn't tell me was the free shipping would have an impact on entering the UK so I didn't receive the goods. Their online system should never have allowed a free shipping option to the UK without making sure all costs were included so that it can reach the customer. I have requested a refund for the last 6 months and they say they haven't received it back yet which I don't believe as they would have refund me by now its passed 6 months.
