Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/04) */
Ms. [redacted] made a change to her monthly deposit and this change resulted in her settlement becoming null and void. Ms. [redacted] states that she was given approval to make a change to her deposit and that the change would not affect her settlement in...

any way. We are sorry if there was any miscommunication and as a courtesy, we are refunding Ms. [redacted] the difference in settlement costs to resolve her account.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/03) */
Mr. [redacted]'s refund for $25.00 was mailed to him on Monday July 27th, 2015. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding regarding the $25.00 deposit. If this caused any overdraft fees for Mr. [redacted], we will reimburse those as well.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/23) */
After we settled 4 of the 6 accounts Ms. [redacted] enrolled, she made the decision to terminate from the program. We have confirmed with her that her program has been closed and Cross Roads Financial has sent Ms. [redacted] the remaining funds from her...

dedicated account.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Their response makes it sound like we decided to terminate the agreement on a whim. They did not address the fact or give reason why, after receiving the funds to settle all accounts, nothing had been done after five months. Prior to Freedom Debt Relief receiving the quoted amount to settle ALL debts, we were told that upon receipt of funds ALL debts should be settled within 20 days. That was four monthly bank fees ago!
I had also requested the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the companies that currently hold the last two accounts. This request was made three times - first July 13, then July 20th, and the third time by the following email:
I am _____. My husband, __, and I terminated our agreement with Freedom Debt Relief July 13, 2015, even though we have two outstanding debts.
I spoke with [redacted], located at the [redacted] Freedom Debt Relief office on July 20, 2015. While we were still on the phone, [redacted] said he sent an email to me with the name, addresses and phone numbers of the last two creditors that we have a balance with. I confirmed with [redacted] my email address, which Freedom Debt Relief should have on file.
It is now July 26, 2015 and I have still not received the information regarding the two creditors we still owe. Please send me the information ASAP, so that we can settle these accounts. Forward (or reply to this email) to .....

Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2015/08/17) */
On August 4, 2015 I responded that I have not received from Freedom Debt Relief the Name, Address, and Telephone Numbers of the companies that now hold our last two accounts. This information was requested from Freedom Debt Relief with [redacted] on July 13, then with [redacted] July 20th, and 26th. July 29, 2015 I responded through the Revdex.com that I had not received this information, hoping I would receive it with the Revdex.com involved. It is now August 14, 2015 and I still do not have the information needed to settle the last two accounts. What do I need to do to get this information sent to me?

We are sorry if there were any issues with Ms. [redacted] not receiving the documentation that she requested. It was emailed to her on 7/20, 7/26 and 7/29. It was also mailed via USPS to her on 9/1.

We are reviewing [redacted] account thoroughly and a representative from our Consolidation Plus program will be reaching out to her to discuss her concerns and resolve her complaint.

We have reached out to speak with [redacted] regarding her complaint and determined further research is required to resolve her complaint. We are currently making attempts to discuss a resolution that we feel will be satisfactory to the client.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted] and...

find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The business FDR, left me a voicemail and an email during the holiday. I replied to the email that I would contact the FDR representative on Tuesday, May 30 with hopes to resolve the problem. Sincerely, [redacted]

After review of the client's concern we have determined that[redacted] did authorize the settlement with Bank Of America and funds were paid out based upon that authorization.[redacted] had made a request of us that put her settlements at risk and upon reviewing those transactions we confirmed that we...

did properly advise her of this risk.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/21) */
Ms. [redacted] wanted to modify her monthly deposits. Unfortunately this request was not processed. To correct the matter we have refunded the monthly deposit and all overdraft fees. Ms. [redacted] has requested to rejoin the program and we are...

committed to her success.

We have spoken to [redacted] in regards to her account. Unfortunately, Freedom Debt Relief is unable to provide any refund to[redacted] as we have already discounted the settlement fees she would have been charged on her account that has been settled and completely resolved. [redacted] has been provided with a direct point of contact should she have further questions or concerns.

Ms. [redacted] requested to terminate from our program on 3/23/2016. We are sorry for the delay in processing her request. We can confirm her request has been processed and the funds from her dedicated account have been refunded to her.

A member of our consolidation plus department has reached out to the client in order to resolve her complaint. We will continue with our attempts to ensure the client's concerns are reviewed and we reach a resolution that she finds satisfactory.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/04/22) */
Mr. [redacted] was not happy with the time frame it was taking to settle his debt. After we spoke to Mr. [redacted], he decided to terminate from the program and the money he had in his dedicated account has been returned to him.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/13) */
We have attempted multiple times to reach Ms. [redacted] to discuss her complaint. Ms. [redacted] stated that our fees were collected during a settlement too soon. We only charge fees once we have negotiated a settlement and our client have authorized it....

The settlement became null and void because Ms. [redacted] missed one of her scheduled deposit drafts. We attempted to reach out to Ms. [redacted] via phone and email for resolution, but were not able to successfully connect before the creditor voided the settlement. We are continuing to work with the creditor to renegotiate a new settlement, which we do for no additional charge. We are also continuing to attempt to reach Ms. [redacted].

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/23) */
Ms. [redacted] requested that we send her the settlement documentation for one of her creditors and terminate her from the program. All documentation has been sent to Ms. [redacted] and confirmation of her program being closed has been provided as...

well.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/07/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
As I requested Freedom Debt Relief did on July 23, 2015 settle my debt and did terminate my program with them.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: as explained to the woman I spoke to at freedom, the dissatisfaction was with the service that was, or I should say was not provided by them.  As I told her on the phone, at least 4 of the accounts were settled by me.  Although freedom may have written the check for 3 of them, the legwork and contact with the creditor and lawyers eventually was done by me.  Freedom sends notices over to their customers asking them to approve a settlement they received from the creditor.  Of course the consumer approves.  In my case I would approve and then find out later that nothing or very little was done because they didn't have sufficient funds.  I was never notified by them that there were insufficient funds.  Ever.  Until I called.  I can pull my cell records from different times if need be to show how often I was calling freedom because I did not trust them after the first time this happened.  They rarely called me back.  The woman I spoke to mentioned times that they did call me back.  But did not realize that if you compare the amount of times I called them and got NOTHING back definitely outnumbered their "responses".  Which usually were "we will get back to you in 2 to 5 days, and then again nothing.  I have paperwork and will provide it to show all of the legwork I had to do to assist freedom in the accounts being settled.  Maybe I should actually have gotten on their payroll too?  Their service was awful.  The woman I spoke with did not listen to me.  (Wow. Shocker). She kept saying they did what they were supposed to do because I approved the settlements and they wrote checks for all but 2 accounts.  Yes. But after the fact that I was contacted by lawyers and had to borrow money to provide the funds (which I was NEVER) told were not there. My conversation with freedom about this was not successful and I truly believe that do not think they did anything wrong.  They did.  They did not provide the services agreed upon. They may have gotten settlements and cut checks.  But the in between work was done by me.  They got paid by me to provide services for which they did not do.  Is customer service not important anymore?
They are awful.  I will go on every website possible to rate them and tell my story.  Sincerely,[redacted]

Both representatives from Freedom Debt Relief and Consolidation plus have reached out to [redacted] in order to resolve her complaint. At this time, all parties have reached resolution to the complaint and[redacted] has been assigned contacts at both Freedom Debt Relief and Consolidation Plus to reach out to, should she have any further questions or concerns.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/13) */
We are sorry that the settlement on Ms. [redacted]'s Bank of America account has taken longer than she expected to be resolved. We have been in communication with her regarding this account since April of his year. We have spoken with Bank of...

America and they have confirmed that a 1099C is being sent to Ms. [redacted] in the next 30 days. This will complete this account as resolved and we look forward to Ms. [redacted] graduating from the program.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/07/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Freedom Debt Relief has refunded my money and settled with the last debtor. My account is now completed. Thank you!

Freedom Debt Relief has offered Ms. [redacted] a courtesy refund in order to resolve her complaint. We are currently waiting to hear back from Ms. [redacted] to determine if she feels this resolution to be satisfactory.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/08/21) */
Mrs. [redacted] requested to defer her June deposit into her dedicated account. She thought the July deposit was also going to be deferred. However, there was no request for that to happen. This resulted in Ms [redacted] getting charged overdraft fees...

from her bank. As a courtesy we have refunded her over draft fees.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/08/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Though I did FINALLY receive a return of the money wrongfully taken from me after much frustration and repeated mistakes on the part of Freedom Financial, their response is incorrect.
I never requested to defer my June draft as my account was CLOSED (or at least it was supposed to be closed) in March! That they are attempting to place fault with me is insulting and a lie. Repeatedly, they have admitted fault and that is why they paid all of my overdraft fees for THEIR mistake. The lack of communication within this company is astounding. I do not recommend that anyone ever do business with them.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/09/04) */
Ms. [redacted] has completed and graduated from our program. Ms. [redacted]'s dedicated account has been closed and all remaining funds from that account have been transferred back to her personal bank account. The time to complete the program is only an estimate and we are sorry that it took a little longer than our original estimate to complete her from our program. Ms. [redacted]s request for a partial refund was completed and the funds she requested have been sent to her. We are sorry for any frustration this has caused Ms. [redacted] and her husband.
