Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/10/27) */
We are sorry that Mr. [redacted] has concerns about the progress of his program. The time frame to complete our program is only an estimate and creditors do have the right to take legal action, although we offer some solutions to our clients if...

this does happen. A full transaction history has been provided to Mr. [redacted] in order to provide a detailed explanation of each transaction since he started in the program. After several attempts to reach Mr. [redacted] to discuss this, we have not been successful in contacting him. We will continue to try and reach him and review his concerns in detail.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/10/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I HAVE TRIED TO CALL FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF WITH NO SUCCESS MY CAREER BEING IN MANAGEMENT DOES NOT PERMIT MYSELF TO FOLLOW FREEDOMS SCHEDULE IN CALLING THERE CLIENTS .THE COMPLAINTS STILL STANDS I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT FREEDOM WAS EXTENDING THIS ACCOUNT WITH THEM FOR ANOTHER 1 1/2 YEARS THAT BECOMES EVEN A BIGGER FINANCIAL BURDEN ON MYSELF AND FAMILY THEY HAD A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF TIME TO HAVE THESE ACCOUNTS SETTLED AND STALLED AND COLLECTED THERE MONEYS WITH THE INTEREST FROM THE FIRST 3 YEARS ON THESE ACCOUNTS I DO HAVE ALL COMMUNICATIONS BY EMAILS AND UPDATES FROM FREEDOMS CLIENT LOG IN WEBPAGE THAT ACTUALLY SHOWS THE AMOUNT THAT WAS PAID IN AND THE MONEYS LEFT TO PAID TO FINISH THE PROGRAM THESE MONEYS THAT WERE SHOWED FOR THE BALANCE OWED HAS NOT CHANGED FOR SEVEERAL MONTHS I DID TRY AND CONTACT FREEDOM WITH THE BALANCE THAT WAS SHOWED AN DID NOT CHANGE WITH NO RETURN REPLY .MY PRESENT ACTION TO STOP FREEDOM FROM TAKING MONEYS OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT AS OF THE 1ST OF NOVEMBER WHICH I DID SEND BY CERTIFIED MAIL A LETTER OF INTENT WHICH THEY DID RECEIVE WILL SEVER OUR RELATIONSHIP .What I want at this time is to have freedom first make ammends on the extension of this account and why they did not ask myself if this is and was and option at that time to extend this account without my knowledge or my consent to do so .Second why has these accounts been dragged out in a fashion that the client meaning myself has more of a financial burden going into 2017 also with a phone call from there accounting office asking to put me on pay off program where freedom would pay off all debt was presented as a elgibilty offer but would owe freedom directly on a monthly basis and was told that I owed 15,000 for 1 account and 4-5 thousand on another but paying out 23,000 currently and my debt amount to pay off is 32,000 these numbers are not adding up with the separation from freedom my thought is this now the debts that they did not pay including the hsbc loan that I was taking to court on ,where does this put me in the future I know if these creditors start calling me after the fact I will even have more reason to believe that freedom was just going thru motions and not using the clients moneys meaning me to pay off these accounts which will put me in a position to determine the legal implications of this company.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2015/11/16) */
The time to complete our program is only an estimate and Mr. [redacted] was concerned that his program was taking longer than the estimated time he was given. We have been attempting to contact Mr. [redacted] to discuss his concerns. We have sent him an email with a detailed transaction history 3 times and continue to reach him to review this information. We have requested that Mr. [redacted] also let us know the best day and time to reach him, so we can schedule a meeting to review his transaction history and his Revdex.com complaint in detail.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2015/11/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is unacceptable I have tried to reach out to freedom and I was told that the person responsible for this case was unable to talk to me at that time ,This resolution is simple I need a guarantee that I will not be pursued in any of the cases meaning creditors that they have been in contact with for the last 4 years these moneys that I have paid to freedom 23,000 should be paid in full .I do not want to be terrorized by any debt collectors that freedom has not settled with my moneys .They have dragged there feet on several of these debts for the last 2 years for there own benefit which has prolonged my account into 2017 I repeatedly sent emails to there consultants with no reply's this is why I made the decision to not allow freedom to take moneys out of my bank account.

We have made the initial attempts to reach out to Ms. [redacted], via email and phone, in regards to the concerns she is experiencing. We hope to speak with Ms. [redacted] so that we may resolve her complaint promptly.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/02) */
Ms. [redacted] requested to withdraw funds from her dedicated account with Cross Roads Financial. There was an error at Cross Roads Financial, and Ms. [redacted]'s funds were not released. This has been corrected and Ms. [redacted] has received the...

funds she requested.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/07/06) */

We have spoken with [redacted] since she filed her complaint and her account has been terminated with Freedom Debt Relief. The client advised us this resolves her complaint.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]
Although I do not agree with the amount that I was reimbursed from Freedom Debt Relief, I accepted the only amount that I thought I could get back from them. I 100%, think, that had I not contacted the Revdex.com, then they would have not given me anything back. I still feel like this company rips people off, when they are the most vulnerable with their finances. I would not recommend using them ever again, and to completely satisfy me, they will need to pay me the entire $[redacted] + dollars that I was told that I would get back.

Complaint:[redacted]
I did receive confirmation from US Bank that they have accepted the settlement via 1099 form. I also received all statements showing all transactions.I am rejecting this response because: The 1099 that I received is showing this is for tax year 2015. So now it is a burden on me to go back and refile that tax year. If US Bank did not accept the settlement until now, it seems only right that it should be recorded as such.
I am also receiving multiple marketing mailers from another entity from Freedom Financial doing business as Lending Tree. I do not want to receive any marketing pieces from this company or any other business associated with Freedom Financial or its business partners.
It is also disheartening to see that their business practices are acceptable. When I was being introduced to the company, it was explained to me that I was encouraged to pay over and above the  amount of the regular monthly payment. I was told it would 'speed up' the negotiations and settlement process. I don't see where that happened. It seems that the settlement fees were based on how much money they could collect from me during the negotiation phase. Sincerely,[redacted]

One of the creditors they agreed to settle with [redacted] per our contract. Chase wrote me off as a bad debt. I feel too much time passed with no negotiations. I still dont know the status of U S Bank as they are refusing to negotiate with Freedom Debt relief. They will tell you that I turned down the offer. U S Bank offered a 50% reduction. I had no problem with that. My problem was with Freedom Debt relief stretching out the payment to 15 months. I have received a 1099C which means I now have a tax consequence as well as a debt with no settlement. There is now over [redacted] in my dedicated account. I agreed to work with them. Nothing has happened. I believe myself to be worse off than when I started. MY ex-wife has also received a [redacted] from [redacted] They have not lived up to their own contract. We now have consequences from this. I feel that they are entitled to now fees and should also be subject to consequences. I f this matter is not resolved by month end I have no choice but to ask for the full amount of my account plus any fees they have charged from the onset of our agreement. This has gone on long enough in my opinion. Having the clock run out on a creditor is a horrible failure on their part. There has to be accountability!

We have spoken with Mr. [redacted] and explained that we do not charge fees until we have successfully negotiated a settlement that has been approved by our clients, and the first payment has been made to the creditor. In his case, he did approve the settlement, but unfortunately the settlement agreement...

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Freedom contacted me and offered me $2,000 at first to settle this matter and I said no. Then they contacted me again and offered me just over $5,100 to settle and at first I was going to take the offer but they wanted me to sign a release before they gave me the money. They have lied to me so many times and I just don't trust them. I took the release and the offer to my attorney who said that was still not right and he wants to proceed with litigation. Therefore, I am going to proceed with a lawsuit as I deserve my money back as they paid themselves for a service they did not provide.

Freedom Debt Relief, and their associate, Crossroads Financial Technologies, continue to attempt to try to get my signature on forms sent through the mail.
Please inform these two companies, as well as any other associates, that I wish for them to stop all attempts at communication with me, whether it be via mail, phone, or internet.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/03) */

We have spoken with Ms. [redacted] in regards to her complaint. At this time, Ms. [redacted] still has concerns and reservations that she feels are not being addressed by Freedom Debt Relief. We have tried to explain to Ms. [redacted] how we processed the settlements and fees on her account, however, Ms. [redacted]...

still feels like there were mistakes made. Freedom Debt Relief has thoroughly researched Ms. [redacted] account and we can confirm that no errors were made by Freedom Debt Relief. We have provided Ms. [redacted] with the requested settlement information, as well as a direct point of contact, should she have any questions or concerns moving forward.

Mr. [redacted] has not been provided the opportunity to accept the new offer form the new creditor. FDR is "waiting for the new agreement letter from the creditor."I check my account daily as well as my e-mail, and I have not received an authorization e-mail or letter to accept this offer. That said, FDR has already paid $1,200 to the new creditor and has a pending payment for the rest of "the new balance" from the new creditor set to be paid July 20, 2015.
After talking with [redacted] he says the new agreement is lower than the first, and that as soon as the agreement is received by FDR, I will be able to accept the new offer still waiting!!!
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/07/23) */
We have confirmed with Mr. [redacted] that the payment to his creditor was made on 7/6. We are in the process of completing Mr. [redacted] graduation packet and we congratulate him on completing the program.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2015/08/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I talked with FDR last week, and they told me to call back and remind them to close the account, and show it resolved. Then the personI talked with told me that they went ahead and sent an email to have it closed and show resolved. A week later, it is still not showing resolved, and the funds have been paid, cleared, and all fees to the program have been paid. I will be forced to pay an additional monthly fee to the "special designated account" until they clear everything up and credit my checking account. This is ridiculous. I still have not received an email to accept the new settlement and I have also not received my "graduation packet". Also the final payment was not paid on 7/6 - it was 7/20! Let's get this fixed, within the next 5 business days!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/04/22) */
Ms. [redacted] was terminated from our program by error. This action caused an account enrolled in our program to go null and void. We have reinstated Ms. [redacted] and we have negotiated a new settlement for her. At this point we are only...

waiting for Ms. [redacted] to authorize her new settlement and then we will process it for her.

We have reached out to [redacted] in regards to his complaint and provided him with a resolution that both parties agree to be satisfactory. [redacted] is welcome to contact us should he need further assistance from Freedom Debt Relief in the future.
