GAR Disability Advocates does not deserve one single positive noteI tried to hire them for less stress while applying for DisabilityThey caused me more stressThey never return calls, I was assigned so many different case managers and none of them new what, where or who I wasThe social security office wanted nothing to do with them, they would not talk to themThat was the decision maker to not use them anymore! Wrote the letter, never heard a thing from themI would not recommend this company to anyone!!!

I am rejecting this response because: This company is trying to place blame on a single employeeThe fact of the matter is this company claims to be disability experts, the only thing advocate about this company is in it's nameThey are no friend to the clientThey claim to be experts, well I am here to tell you, they are only interested in money and only moneyMy case should have been filed under the Compassionate Allowance Law, which had it been filed properly, would have taken less than months, yes you heard me right, less than monthsNow you see why they didn't do it that way, there would be no money in it for them....Because of them, a judge has thrown my case completely out....yes completely thrown out after almost a year and a half of no money, because the employees of this company, which I'm sure was passed down from management, told me I couldn't work, collect unemployment or attent school while my case was being filedThat was not limited to one case worker, but to the sales people that sold be a bill of goods while trying to get my case, as wellThis company blatantly, let my case go for over a year when they could have and should have had it completed in months...Let's just do the math here so you know what kind of company you choose to endorse at the Revdex.com.....25% of a clients awarded benefit of $per month for months would be a sum of $for GAR.....Now streeeetch the same client out for 1yr, due to failure to file the correct paperwork would be $3600.00....now let it go 2yrs like they say it will take, and btw they conveniently place the blame on SS being backed upyrs at $would be what they are not only looking for, (but also training their so called expert case workers to do)...$6000.00, you see they get 25% of the awarded amount from the day it was first filed, up to $6000.00....they are an untrustworthy company that is not out for the clients best interest, so that is why they are an advocate group only in name....I will not forgive this company and neither should you Revdex.com...you are here to give consumers an honest evaluation of a company and the truth is....The owners and management of this company are very good at pointing fingers at subordinates and others, to take the spot light off of them....well I'm not buying that crock in that letter, because you and I both know it was ** and they will continue to do what they do because the money is simply too good for them and they don't care about the lives they plaay with on a daily basis...It cost me over $in lost unemployment compensation I could have collected because even as ruthless and uncaring as SS is they will at least let someone make a little bit to survive with and that is a week...If I haad money for a Lawyer I would sue this company so fast it would make their head spin

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Based on the information I initially received from GAR both written and verbally, I was mislead to believe that they were a court appointed representativeUpon retaining local representation for my case this was brought to my attention by my new lawyerThe statement I made with regard to GAR not doing ANY work on my case is entirely based on the documents collected by the Social Security Administration and stored in my claim fileThat claim file contains all of the all of the applications, reports, medical history and other records that pertain to my caseEven though GAR has stated work was done on my case there is no proof of that in the claim fileAll of it's contents were solicited by my local attorney during the time she was working on my caseI have since lost that representation due to the non-profit organization she worked with closing it's doors. With that having been said I have respectfully requested that GAR submit a document to the SSA waiving their right to collect a feeIt is very unethical and frankly a dirty business practice to withdraw from a case and expect to receive a fee by manipulating the situation with statements such as "we do not waive our right to collect a fee"In layman's terms that is saying even though we have no right to any compensation on this case we know that when it is adjudicated we will receive a fee by slipping this statement into a document in which we are withdrawing from the caseNot to mention it took me over two months of phone calls, letters and pleading with GAR to withdraw. They represent themselves as advocates for individuals like myself who don't know all of the ins and outs of a disability case when in reality they are feeding on that lack of knowledge to fill their own pockets with no real entitlement to any compensationAnother great example of lawyers using the laws to the detriment of the common citizen to enrich themselves. This Revdex.com complaint can be easily resolved by GAR simply submitting a letter to the SSA waiving their right to a fee, to which they have no entitlementBy their failure to comply I am forced to go forward with my case unrepresented because I am unable to find an attorney/advocate that will work my case and have to share the fee, in which they are entitled to the full amount, with an organization such as GAR whom has NO PROOF OF DOING ANY WORK on my case as shown in the Disability Claim FileThank you for your consideration in this matter

I am rejecting this response because: This company falsified, lied, committed illegal acts, and harassed my father out of money that was very much needed by my parentsThey denied receiving funds in a phone call that I have recorded on my cell and since that call in which they denied doing any work on my father's behalf or being paid I have been unsuccessful in getting them back on the phoneThe only thing I will accept from them is my dads money backI don't even want a response from GarFurther action is being taken at this point

Your File No1***
Dear Ms***:
We are in receipt of your letter regarding the consumer’s experience with GAR Disability Advocates. Please be advised that the account with our company has been carefully reviewed and the following are our findings:
We explained previously that Mr*** requested the services of GAR Disability Advocates in July 2015. In September 2015, the client requested to withdraw from the agreement with GAR Disability Advocates. On September 30, 2015, a notice was sent to Mr*** authorizing and acknowledging the withdrawal and also informing Mr*** that GAR Disability Advocates was not waiving their rights to recover fees. Mr*** rejected this response and stated that he could not retain another party, that no work was performed by GAR, and that it took a great length of time to have GAR agree to withdraw. None of these statements are accurate, GAR rejecting the request to waive its fee does not prevent Mr*** from seeking another representative. GAR did perform work on behalf of Mr*** including but not limited to the filing of an application on behalf of Mr***. GAR immediately began the process of withdrawing representation upon written notification from Mr***
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter. If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me

I am rejecting this response because:
no business is going to admit to wrong doing. it is with great disbelief that the company refuses to accept responsibility for there actionsI am very disappointed if I receive any more calls or voice messages from them I will take the next step in the processthis means at any time in the future I do have proof of the times they called they do not need me to prove it all I would have to do is get the records from my carrier.
