Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: It is true that I have contact with representative on those dates after I've call them.  I've spoken to three different representatives, Miranda D[redacted], Jamie C[redacted], and the last one after the complaint Norberta J[redacted].  None of them had knowledge of my case when I talked to them. Their answers were always the same, we are waiting for a hearing date.  I thought that the reason for having the services of this Organization was that they would help in accelerating the case and cut some of the red tape.  I could've submit the application myself and request a hearing and then hire a lawyer and save some money. I spoke to a person that did that and her attorney was able to get a hearing in two months. I don't think they do follow up with the SSA or the Court. When Norberta J[redacted] called me she said the same thing, that my case was in line to schedule the hearing.  I did not respond and only said Thank you.

In March of 2015 I went online and tried to apply for disability, or at least I thought I did. Somehow I mistakenly was on this companys site. It has turned out to be just that. Im glad I looked for reviews before I dug in and put my trust in them for my hearing. They never returned my calls very well and eventually just stopped all together. They changed my case manager at least three times. This is the kicker though, two different people who worked for the Disability Determination told me that they could not reach this company when they needed to in regards to my claim. One lady said she had repeatedly been placed on hold for so long she could not wait any longer and the other person, a gentleman said simply that his repeated calls were not returned about my claim. Ultimately, these events alone were enough to destroy my last bit of faith I had because they made it take longer to get my decision. Yesterday I received my decision in the mail. Now I will be severing all contact with this company and finding an attorney. I didnt even need to see the reviews to arrive at this standpoint. I also found out that if I did stick with this company, they would not even fly out to be with me at my hearing. They would be on a tv screen in the room. Its bad enough that the judge will be on a tv screen, but my representation too? Also in case someone wants to know, with every person I was able to speak to and that was only when they called me to tell me they were my new case manager with the exception of the first lady I spoke to, english was their second language and that included the initial first contact with this company. So, GAR Disability Advocates, FAITH NO MORE and goodbye.

Since Sept. 2015 I have had to do a lot of leg work to keep my case moving.
At on point my case was at a standstill since people in main office for Gar Disability Advocates were fired and they were short handed? Finally on March 4th 2016 my case manager Randy P[redacted] sent me an email asking for an update on case?
On May 20th I sent a request asking that Gar Disability Advocates no longer represent me and release any claim for a fee. I faxed a second request and have heard nothing back.
I was denied claim from Social Security on April 25th so my time for appeal are about up.
After 60 days I have to start all over again.
I don't want this to happen to anyone else !!!

My experience with GAR reveals this company to be ineffective, non-caring, and unresponsive. They are linked with the online disability application and immediately responded without my request. I believed their appeal to support and handle my disability application. They dd not return phone calls until I called to cancel my contract with them. Basically, they get people to sign the contract, then wait until that person achieves disability status, so GAR can receive that person's disability back payment from the day of application until the day the disability is granted. What a scam!!!

Along with the rest of the group that has left reviews I to agreed to using this group for my social security disability application and have found their services, return calls and complete commitments to my case to be worthless. I cant get a return call nor call them for support. I have done all the work myself. Once you get into the operator, she cant even transfer a call to your case worker if one truly exists. I will not continue to use their services. This is a scam

I am rejecting this response because:
I asked to be released early on when GAR was unresponsive.  Request was denied, with a promise they would be there in person at my appeal hearing.
When I thought I had gotten the appeal date from SSA, I called my GAR contact, emailed my GAR contact, called my GAR contact again, and called the GAR main line.  Not at any time did a get a response from a GAR person at all.  I've left voice mails, emails, and a promise to call me back by an automated GAR system.   Had this been a SSA Federal hearing I would have been in that room alone, by myself, unrepresented!
Not all clients are easy, I understand, but no response at all from a service that is supposed to represent me unacceptable.
I once again plead to have GAR release me so I can get proper representation before my hearing (which is soon)!
Regards,

I would advise to watch this company further.
If they have any further contact with me I will get the records from my carrier, and forward them on to you.
Again, my name IS Tim [redacted], in their last response to you the person they indicated was a different name, so the people handling this situation on their end are quite incompetent.  I thank you for resolving this matter.
