On March 10, 2020 I called up Geico for an motorcycle quote. they said 315.18$ for 12 month. Ok, done deal, I paid over the phone. got my paperwork a day or two later.
On April 8, 2020 I received a letter saying I owed them 134.16 more for the 12 months. I called up and asked about it. Seems I Had a traffic ticket 2 years ago for running a stop sign. they adjusted my price based on that. I have been a customer of Geico for over 4 years. They already knew about this traffic ticket. They refused to honor the original price, and also they refused to give me a refund based on the agreed upon price.The lady manager that I was talking to (Dianna, employee number 215958) said she was federally licensed, but refused to give me that license number. she referred to my by the name Mr. Crap multiple times throughout the conversation, even after I asked her to stop. She told me 3 times that they were "doing me a favor" by charging this new higher price. Then she Hung up on me.

I've had the most difficult and frustrating experience with my recent claim. I filed an auto claim on March 11. The first adjustor, Rachel, scheduled to evaluate my car on March 16. I didn't hear from her so I attempt to contact her on March 18. No one ever told me she's out of the office or followed up. I had to contact Geico multiple times to find out the appointment was missed and had to get assigned a new adjuster, Sarah. This was the first delay in the process. On March 23, my car was finally deemed a total loss. A check and the valuation report was sent to BMW on March 24. I had to return the insurance provided rental car that day without any consideration that the local rental car branch was closed due to Covid-19. By March 26, BMW asked for 3 items to be added to the report: locking wheels, first aid kit, and black kidney grilles. Sarah said she spoke with CCC One and they've updated it and sent it to BMW. I waited and waited and my car was still not paid. I called BMW on April 6 and they stated they did not receive any response from Geico even after multiple requests. I contacted Sarah again to get the items added to the report. I received a report with only the locking wheels updated. I sent a screenshot to Sarah and she stated CCC One said it's in the notes so it should be on there. BMW rejected it ones again. I contacted Sarah and her supervisor Jason to notify them that it needed to be updated again. They insisted it's on there and sent me a copy with all updates in the notes section, but with altered time stamps of when it was added. I have proof of email showing 2 items were missing from the report provided to BMW and myself on April 6. The new document has new time stamps for the added change as if they are trying to cover up their mistake and making it seem like I didn't read the document carefully. I am already a frustrated customer, and here is an adjuster who is not listening and a supervisor who disregarded the facts I stated regarding my experience. He stated he does not understand why BMW insist on adding it on if it doesn't change the value. He should focus on how he could have made my experience better instead of focusing on why BMW is requesting for that change. It was more an effort of passing the blame. Because of the lack of follow up and lapse in following instructions, my car buying process has been delayed and I have had to pay for a rental car about 2 weeks longer than it should have.

GEICO really does not take care of its costumers at all!
I filed a claim and when I spoke to them on the phone I asked if it was going to increase my policy and I was told several times before filing it that it wouldn't. 1 month later its time to renew my policy and it goes up by over $100 and I call to discuss why and what has happened and how they can fix it. The costumer support department is completely incompetent and lacking of any people/problem-solving skills. They are rude and they blame everything on the each others departments. I was transferred a total of 9 times and spent over an hour having to talk to people and basically be told I had to pay the consequences for their mishandling of the claim process. I am so disgusted by their lack of empathy. I have been a GEICO customer for over 10 years and its also the middle of the world pandemic that is COVID-19 and they so much refuse to even listen to my issue and try to fix it. I am writing this because it is unacceptable of them to try to increase their policies so much after 1 claim. It is wrong and they should be penalized for it. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I will be leaving them and insuring my vehicles with someone else.

I have been trying to get homeowner's insurance through Geico. After being told the policy was good to go, I have had to call Geico 6-7 times (!!!) in three weeks. I close on a house in three days (!!), and I am still calling Geico to get issues fixed on my policy. Also, they are the middle man between other companies that actually hold the homeowner's policy, so they have been useless in these last few steps. What is the point of even getting the policy through Geico if they can't even do anything regarding it? I will not be recommending Geico to anyone, and I will not be renewing any policy with them.

Gieco is one of the worst insurance company, they just want to milk money for years and when, it is time to pay for accidents they cancel insurance.This is unacceptable

Geico Am Bankers flood insurance is a scam. Claims requires you prove 2 miles if floods or denied . Sewage backup, cracked slab, too bad. Eyeball denial. Do not have any faith in them.

Geico, for 6 years I've been very happy with Geico. a week ago my 17 year old soon flipped his truck we had just bought 3 weeks prior. I completed the online accident claim and appraiser, Aaron B, contacted me very quickly and scheduled appt. to appraise the truck for Friday, 2 days after the accident. Emails me copy of the valuation on Monday and calls to let me know vehicle was total loss and they are willing to pay $5000, when I had just paid $7200 for 3 weeks earlier. So I looked up comparables and found nothing exactly like, but couple similar. All more than what I paid for my truck, I gathered the listings along with my bill of sale and a lengthy note and he increased my valuation to $5844. We are now Tuesday afternoon late. Wednesday I reviewed the info and emailed him back that his low ball valuation wouldn't be acceptable and offered to settle at $6844, which he quickly replied that he won't do and if I don't settle, the only recoarse I would have is to hire my own certified appraiser and have them do an evaluation and he'd be willing to review! Now it's Wednesday, they will no longer pay for the rental vehicle and I'm having to hire an appraiser or accept what they offer. Nothing like getting screwed over by Geico and told if you don't like it! We don't care! Mr. B is a useless Company Man with one goal to pay as little as possible for my loss! Definetly will be checking out USAA now!

Geico dropped my motorcycle policy (illegally). 3 days ago I received an email stating:
To better assist those impacted by the crisis, we are pausing cancellation of coverage due to non-payment and policy expiration, effective immediately. This pause will remain in effect through April 30, 2020. The ongoing situation impacts everyone, and we want our policyholders to have some peace of mind knowing we'll be there when they need us most. We're also prepared to offer maximum flexibility, including special payment plans to those who need it once normal billing operations are scheduled to resume.
Why when I called today did some nasty woman say this pause in cancellation didn't apply to me? Please answer me please. She was also just plain rude. I have a recording of the call which I will include with the California Department Of Insurance claim I have filed against you for illegally canceling my policy in the 1st place and now leaving me stranded during the corona virus pandemic. If I have a problem and find out I am uninsured during that time, I will file not just another complaint (I have already won 2 against Geico this past fiscal year as you continue to attempt to fleece me repeatedly) but have my attorney, Joshua L, ready and willing to file a case against Geico for your continued abuse during the worst pandemic the world has seen in our lifetime. Even if you finally manage to wiggle your way out of failing to act in a responsible, let alone legal manner the way you have repeatedly done, it won't be without the biggest fight I can possibly give you.
You have earned an adversary for life with your continued insistence to perform so many illegal, unethical acts against me . Or should I say ANOTHER adversary.

Worse experience ever w/ adjuster Katie T in Carter Co. Oklahoma. I paid 32k for Lexus Certified Geico devalues my car using $17k comp. after a month of trying to reach an acceptable settlement. Adjuster stopped responding. After weeks of no explanation came home from work to a letter, Geico issued check to Bank for $16k with me retaining salvage valued at 8779k. This was neither discussed with me prior to this nor did I agree to it. Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner’s office has been involved adjuster nor her supervisor Natalie seemed to care. Never insure with Geico. This isn’t over yet. I will litigate, it’s a shame it’s come to this. I paid faithfully, when it came time for Geico to keep their end of the deal this is how they take care is their customers. Do not insure with Geico. They will cheat you out of your hard earned money and will not even come close to replacement value. Progressive has better rates with higher limits available. Run do not walk away from Geico. Customer service is good when you call in but field adjuster and supervisors in Carter County are a disgrace.

I’ve had geico for over 10 years. A geico insured hit my parked car in my work parking lot. His bike rack did damage to my car. $2,000 to fix damages that were covered by them thought good as new! Until 2 years later I go to trade my car in and they ran a car fax to reveal my car is flagged with “structural damage” claims that my car is unsafe and not reliable to drive which is news to me!. My car has lost $5,000 in value with this on it I went to 3 different places to see what my car was worth. I opened a diminished of value claim with geico. Customer service reps are beyond rude and give you the run around. The geico claims adjuster Chris just brushed it off when I spoke with him and he said that’s not true about my car and my car has not lost value, without even seeing my car or my evidence.. spoke to Nathan the other geico claims adjuster who only seemed interested in who released that information about my car to Carfax, because he reports the auto body that fixed my car works through them and doesn’t release that and geico doesn’t release any information to them (which is funny I caught them in a lie I spoke to a customer service supervisor who stated they only release some information to them not detailed info) I also contacted car fax and they told me they can’t release the source of who released this about my car because they chose to remain confidential!! So then Nathan the claims auto adjuster came out to look at my car and just looked with his eyes. Didn’t get under the car to look where my car had been damaged. He said it is considered “structural damage” but it was fixed good as new and he continued to email me how much my brand and year of car is going for online... yeah cars with no “structural damage” to the car fax... He states there is no diminished in value and closed the claim without him responding back to my concerns and supporting documents of my cars diminished value.

I was a pleased GEICO customer for two years before being screwed over by them. The crux of the issue was when my policy was being renewed in Feburary 2020 and they billed me an extra roughly $90 a month for 'stacked insurance' that I never asked for, and they never asked me about adding it, but was automatically put on my bill. When I finally realized what it was for, multiple vehicles, I cancelled my policy--and this was after calling into a call center and questioning why my bill was raised from the previous six-month policy price. The operator told me everything looked ok, yet I have only had one car on the policy since getting the insurance two years ago. It's unfortunate, but this experience has left me jaded because of the experience. I hope they turn things around for future customers, but I won't be coming back anytime soon for sure.

I am surprised to read the first few negative reviews on GEICO. We've insured our vehicles with GEICO for decades found them better than another insurer we went to when our kids began to drive.
What I do wish is for Revdex.com to open a page so that customers could compare their auto premium rate increases and ideally by state, car types and years.
We're in Nassau County, New York. We've insured a savaged 2001 Maxima, a 2008 Honda Civic and a 2007 CRV. My husband and I are in late 50's. I drive the Maxima mostly for grocery rounds. My husband drives the Civic to work. My son is in the later half of 20's and switch from driving to work to driving once a week for leisure because he is now working in the city. I am given 17.4% in body injury liability and 10.8% increase in PIP, my husband 18.2% and 11.3% and my son 6.7% increase in body injury liability but a decrease of 7.1% in PIP. For supplementary uninsured motorist coverage, it is a 23.2% increase.
When I called in to speak to the rep and her supervisor, the supervisor just said these increases were approved by the government and the increases have nothing to do with us but with the payout GEICO made last year. If so, I think GEICO could have posted on their web site the percentages applied to different vehicle makes and years, as approved by the government, so that customers won't feel being robbed blindfolded. After all, they have to have this info organized to feed it into the program for calculating renewal rates.

Bought insurance and saved until I had an acccident then they doubled my rate. Never had an accident in my life, I am 58 and a ticket 13 years ago. So I think doubling my rate was extreme. Canclled it and guess what they charge 52 dollars to do that. I was so angry please do not purchase insurance with Geico or you will learn the hard way.

I was hit by one of their customers a month ago. 2 days later they accepted responsibility for my vehicle repairs. Last night finally appproved repairs. Their adjuster didn’t return calls to the repair shop. They and myself called his supervisor. I was told he would call back which he never has. Repair shop told they would be there on Thursday and Friday. But they didn’t show up until following Tuesday. And didn’t approve repairs until 9 pm on Thursday. Rental truck is die to be returned tomorrow. Wonder of they will drag their feet and getting it re-approved so I will have a vehicle. Truck rented has no towing capability like my truck. So I have been unable to tow my 18 ft trailer. Is this is customer service?

This company scams its customers and is the worst insurance company I have worked with. We were hit by another geico customer and when we called geico they told us not to cal the police as this was a geico to geico accident and that they would handle everything internally. They told us that since the other party was at fault, they would take care of everything and not to file a police incident report. Now they are refusing to pay out on our claim as they insist they can not reach the other party and since they can not verify that the accident actually happened and that the other party has not accepted fault they will not pay us out on our claim. So basically because their other customer is refusing to respond to geico or take responsibility, geico is penalizing us and not paying out the claim to the good loyal customers such as us. I have cancelled all my insurance through geico and will never work with this cheating company ever again! They are cheats and liars and are losing a customer over a $2000 claim!!! Shame on them!

A deer recently ran out in front of my truck in which I hit the deer and ran off the side of the road trying to avoid from hitting an oncoming car. After the accident the person in which I was trying to avoid from hitting when the deer ran out in the road pulled over and walked up to my vehicle as I was getting out and asked was I okay. Keep in mind I was only about 10 feet from my driveway. So I contacted geico started a claim. When they told me they will send an adjuster out I specially requested that he contacted me before he came out. 1. I wanted to be there 2. I have two(2) dogs that are free to go in and out the house whenever they want and 3. I wanted to show him the deer "WHICH WAS STILL LAYING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH PARTS OF MY VEHICLE" however I made it perfectly clear I didn't want anyone coming out without me being home. I also made 3-5 attempts to contact the adjuster via landline with no hope. Geico sent him a message to reach out to me to set a date before he come out. The adjuster fail to do so. He came out without me being there took pictures and just sent me an email with an estimate of $1,300.00 and to contact the insurance company. When I contacted geico they informed me the adjuster told them in his report "there were no signs of me hitting a deer because he couldn't find any deer hair on the vehicle." So geico didn't cover the damage the deer cost which I pay every month for deer coverage because I live next to a gaming site for deer hunting. Now I have a vehicle with no headlight side panel dented in and front bumper hanging to the ground. This is beyond said and I know many of others are treated like this when it comes down to geico and it needs to stop!

I was an Allstate customer for over 10 years a very satisficed. I thought it was time for me to shop around for Auto and Home Insurance. Geico's quoted price was so much cheaper than Allstate that it made me mad at Allstate for over charging a loyal customer. After have Geico for several months I called to inquire about damage to one of my cars only to find out that my car did not have any comprehensive insurance. So, it was not covered for collision or vandalism or theft. I asked about my other 2 cars. To my surprise, only 1 of my cars carried comprehensive coverage. Bait and Switch. How they were able to quote me such a cheap price is by not covering 2 of my 3 cars with comprehensive coverage! I drove around for several months unaware that I did not have coverage. Uninsured cars were a Lexus ES350 and a Honda Accord Coupe.

I quickly picked them out over their rates being a bit lower, not much, than another place. After noticing my FIRST payment had not been taken out yet, I went online to see my policy had been canceled. It had been 12 days that I had been driving without insurance and not even knowing it.
They claimed that the first payment came back insufficient funds. I told them that not only did I have plenty of money to cover that payment, I could actually screen shot my bank statement and prove it.So in the year 2020 my Insurance was immediately cancelled and I was "immediately" notified by... the postal service. That's right. They didn't call, email or even text me. They cancelled my insurance and allowed me to drive uninsured for the time it takes for a letter to be received by mail. I went back to USAA, which I should have stuck with from the start bc their customer service is and always has been stellar, and even paid the 5$ more.
so, the moment I realized it had been cancelled online, I immediately started up again through Geico and made a payment asap. Then realizing how they completely screwed me, got the quote from USAA and went through them. I called GEICO this time to cancel a payment I made through their website and ask for a refund immediately. They told me it would take 7-10 business days. I informed them that I was now with USAA and even paying a slightly higher payment, just to spite them. Myself and my family will never do business with this company again.
