The truth must be told, After reading some comments about this company by some people that have used this service before, I was skeptical of using the service(Few bad reviews and many good ones), what I did what to give them a chance by calling the customer service representative and we agreed on the termsI was surprised by their great service; these guys went beyond my expectationsMy furniture was delivered on time and I was contented with their serviceI have being making use of different Moving companies before but their service has not being good as thisEverything was perfect, nothing damaged, and all their staff was professional I would always be more than happy to be a reference for your companyThank you

The move over all went wellI wasn't too happy that my move was delayed one day, but I understand things happenThis was a last minute move and Great Nation Moving did manage to get a truck and crew to my house on short noticeThe movers showed up and to my surprise they were well dressed and well spokenI'm not trying to put anyone downI'm saying this because my last experience was handled by a bunch of guys that looked like they just got out of prisonEverything went according to plan and we're very pleased with Great Nation Moving

We would deliver to Anchorage, AlaskaWe do not do air freight and she would needed to pick an air carrier from Anchorage to Holly Cross, AlaskaWhich she did pick and contact. On the contract she signed it states clearly we are only going to Anchorage and client is responsible from Anchorage to Holy Cross. We sent her belonging directly out within a week that we picked her upFrom Pa to Anchorage Alaska is MilesInternational line crossing into Canada and customs check and hold Within days of packing Ms***’s she had been sent final bill and this was to allow time for her to be preparedOver a month there we had little if any communication with our office. When we notified her that her shipment was in the delivery window within weeks is when problems started occurringShe claimed she did not have the funds, no internet, no banks, and so onThe director of logistic explained everything to her as did accountingShe had weeks to be prepared and caused drama stating she did not know this?! On her bill she had additional packing charges and was debating this as wellBut these services were rendered and on the day of packing she never mentioned any problemQuite the opposite and was thrilled how well everything was packed and taken care ofShe was told the charges before she departed and there was not a question. We received a call on 11/30/from a friend of hers trying to find out what was going onWe explained these are the charges and she was aware of themShe explained she was selling her home in two weeks and would have money(DOES THIS MEAN WE TRANSPORTED HER GOODS AND SHE KNEW SHE COULD NOT PAY)? Which is worse because we would not of sent the shipment. Then the texting between accounting and myself began over a three day periodShe stated she wanted to know where we dropped off her good on the side of the roadI texted her explaining NEVER EVER WOULD WE DO THAT! Please stop with the nonsense. Ms***’s was explained to for three days by accounting, we can accept cash, money order, bank check or wireAccounting was on the phone with her and her bankHER bank was telling her what she wanted to do she was not able to doShe was unable to get a Western Union out, and we tried all avenues to accommodate her needs. We paid all Tariff, Tolls, Taxes, International charges: Then at PM 11/30/ she started texting wanting to know where I was?! I stated in Maryland and it was 11PMShe went on to text saying she was telling everyone that would listen we are holding her belonging That we were not capable of delivering her belongings and so on The air freight company called on 11/29/ saying MsSounder had been inquiring about her shipment and knew she was responsible to have it airlifted to Holy CrossAccording to the airfreight company they stated she was fully aware of the charges and the way the process goes From day one Ms***’s was fully 100% aware of the charges and they delivery window 10/25/to 12/31/and we are a month ahead of that schedule. She stated she had not internet, could not receive picture to her phone but she could send them to us and contact you as well. At first she was going to used *** Air and for whatever reason she changed to Evert AirWe have made every effort to accommodate and help her through this process I pride myself in being as upfront and direct with clientsI know she wanted her stuff as soon as possible and we have done thatThe driver has been there two days waiting to see what is going oneAccounting has spent a total of hours going over her accounting and solutions for herMimi in accounting even paid the express mail for her so they payment can get here and we can close this matter. Mimi has sent many texts to her that she instigated with the same issues she has been having the last days. 12/1/the texting started again at 11:PM wanting to know where her belonging wereI stated in the text the Air company you choose is where they will be delivered. We have a wheeler in Anchorage waiting now three days to offload, this is costing money and expenses while we wait on her to send payment to usOnly a partial payment has been made and we are waitingMS Sounder could care less at the mess she has created Attached is the paperwork, and you can see she added a lot more items to her list than what we were originally told

I recently moved from Virginia, to New MexicoAnd my experience was flat out flawlessThe whole crew was not only well experienced and knowledgeable but also very fast and efficientBooking the move was practically no trouble at allThe sales associates were very pleasant as wellThey gave me the best rates possible and the cheapest out of any moving providers that I have contactedOverall experience I would rate a 10/I strongly recommend this company for all your moving needs!

Great Nation Moving is a great moving companyThe person on the phone were really nice and courteousAlso managed to answer my questions wellThe price is reasonable and there’s no bait & switch thingThe movers came ahead of schedule which was really greatThey came prepared with the necessary tools to make sure nothing could go wrong during the moveThe movers were definitely hardworking, careful with handling the stuff and they were moving them in a quick pace which was goodThe result was great and service was solidI wouldn’t mind asking for their service again next time

I am rejecting this response because:I would like to clarify that the $"compensation" was because of your late deliveryIt was not payment for any damage that occurred at the time of delivery.Again, as I have previously said, I do understand that I selected the minimum coverage of 0.60/lb but this does not give you the right to just mishandle my personal belongings. Whether or not I purchased additional insurance does not give your company the right to just toss my belongings around. It doesn't matter if I only have the minimum coverage or bought additional insuranceYour company should've taken care of my personal belongings.You are fully aware of the agreement but still did not provide professional, quality serviceAnd you are using the agreement to hide your business practices.How can you tell me that it was an accident when your company deliberately handled my belongings carelessly? Would an "experienced" mover push, or drag a couch on the ground and not expect it to be damaged? Your "experienced" movers could not lift my couch safely and chose to drag, and push my couch across the groundDoes dragging a couch on the ground your common practice?There were also damage on my dining table from the careless mishandling from your company's movers. The damage happened because of the deliberate actions of your companyHow is this an accident? Is this how you do business? Again, there was blatant disregard for care with my personal belongings and obvious disrespect to me as a customer

Great Nation Moving packed and moved our home from Oro Valley, AZ to NY in Rose, our agent was awesomeShe spent time explaining and reviewingShe was such a positive during a stressful timeOur packers were excellent and took good care in packing all of our things (valuables and just stuff)Packing took one day and loading the truck took one dayOur driver, was very professional and accommodatingHe placed my Christmas tree and other fragile items so that they would stay intact given the odd shapes that had no hope for bullet-proof packagingThe delivery in NY was on timeI highly recommend Great Nation Moving

I am rejecting this response because:After lengthy phone calls, Great Nation Van Lines finally decided to honor its contract and deliver our belongings on the correct day***, the owner, made statements such as "we made a commitmentWe will honor it" followed by statements that made it seem like he was doing us a great favor by actually complying with what he agreed to doThroughout this process, it took numerous calls to *** to simply get him to do what he agreed to doAll the while, he complained about the inconvenience of this work, his business problems, and his claim that he would be losing thousands of dollars on this jobI find that last statement hard to believeThe estimate was $and the final bill was $He charged us $in "supplies," which included outrageous fees such as $(or more) per cardboard boxInitially we were told to expect the final bill not to exceed 10% above the estimate and we were never told about this outrageous "supply" fee*** also tried to tack on additional labor fees that would have skyrocketed the final bill probably thousands more but we said no wayAll the while, *** was unfriendly, adversarial, and unreasonable on the telephone, often arguing and generally blaming usIt was a terrible ordeal(Incidentally, the other estimates we obtained were all similar to the estimate of Great Nation Van Lines)I will say that the others who we dealt with at the company - *** (the salesman) and the workers who unloaded and loaded - were decent, hardworking guys*** was especially friendly and genuinely tried to fix the problems to the best of his ability*** sent too few workers for the project and the workers did not leave our house until 11:pm, after which they drove back to MarylandThey were unable to take everything and they left a lot of trash behindI don't blame them...had *** properly staffed the job, it would have been done on time and his workers would not have been forced to work a backbreaking dayI will not be recommending this company to anyone At this time, since we have our stuff, I am not requesting any remedy other than some reimbursement for the outrageous supply fees that were never disclosedWe have not opened all of the boxes and do not waive any claims for damaged property or otherwise
