I am one of their happy customers After moving to Maryland from Washington, DC within the schedule, without any damage and within the budget, I am really happy with Great Nation Moving. This company was recommended by a friend. So, I called them for a quote. After speaking to their sales rep Greg, I got confidence. He was very keen to know about the nature of my move and also informed me clearly what they can do and what not. Their partner in Maryland was also great and professional mover. Did customs clearance and delivered my goods and unpacked all my boxes. Great job.

Hello [redacted]i wish we had the money to pay but we dont have it. I can offer you $100 but this is the best we canwe have also providd the tickets today as you requested.I think you should reas your moving proposal more carefuly and clearly says delivery spread therei appologies for this miscomunication. Thanks again

My experience with Great Nation Moving has been excellent! We moved from MD to NY. They have treated my belongings with great care and efficiency. I was very impressed with their delivery and with the degree of care they took in delivering each box to it's proper room. If you have a move coming up, please ask them for a free in home estimate.

I needed to move my in laws from their home to assisted living. I contacted Great Nation Moving and David was very helpful in scheduling the move. When the day came the movers (Toni & Mark) were 45 minutes late but David informed me ahead of time that was going to be. The guys arrived at the rescheduled time. They were very nice and efficient. I felt the charges were reasonable and were as David had told me.

The service was wonderful. Multiple calls from the office to check in on things. The guys worked there butts off. Best experience I’ve had with a moving company.

We haven't used movers for years and didn't know who to call. Unlike others selected from the Internet, Great Nation Moving answered promptly, and arranged to move two items for us the next day. The two young men who came were on time and quickly and carefully moved a sofa and love seat to our house. They were very courteous and professional and we would use them again and will recommend their services to anyone.

Simply put, you will feel happy, relaxed and content when Great Nation Moving handles your move. From the estimate until they unload the last item from the truck, they offer the friendly, professional, hard work that other moving companies seldom deliver. They moved me from AZ to NY. Throughout this life changing personal event, they handled it all with the care and concern that is seldom seen in the moving industry. I also stored my furnishings with them, for almost three months until I could close on my home. That, too, was handled with the same level of friendly professionalism that is their trademark. I'm so glad I lucked into finding them.

Thanks You

I just wanted to let you and everyone out there know that this was possibly the best, easiest and most affordable move we have ever gone though. The price was way less then we had expected, the crew showed up on time, ready to put in a days work. They were polite, professional, fast and very careful. We have moved a lot in 40 years and this was the best experience I have ever had. I will definitely refer Great Nation Moving to anyone who is looking for a mover. Thanks again William for all your help, and give a special pat on the back to the guys. They did a bang up job. If there is anything we can ever do for you. Just let me know.

Review: - Received a “Guaranteed, not to Exceed” contract for an Estimated Move Price: $5,840.73 based on Estimated weight: 5933 lbs.

- Told Actual weight was 7020 lbs. and charged $1065 for the extra weight

- We chose to re-weigh when the truck arrived at our destination and found it to only be 4220 lbs. We were re-imbursed only the $1065 without an apology or explanation how they were that far off, except “that it has never happened before”. They did not return phone calls or emails for hours on the first business day after delivery until threatened with being reported for fraud.

- No response has been given in several weeks with regarding an ongoing question on what they plan to do about the actual weight (4220lbs) coming in under the estimated weight (5933lbs) by 2800 lbs for a “Guaranteed, Not to Exceed” estimate. [redacted] also verbally stated during the estimate that the price is based on weight and less weight would mean a smaller base price.

- I’d also like to note that Victory Van Lines also paid us several hundred dollars to compensate for being 12hrs late for pickup and for delivery 11 days past the last quoted possible delivery date. This was compensation for terrible service and does not change the fact that it was terrible service.Desired Settlement: Honor the type of estimate they are providing which is based on weight. What they did was turn their estimate into the base price after trying to overcharge me by claiming an incorrect weight.

Dear [redacted]

During the very busy summer season in the moving industry there many set of rules that apple durring those e high and peak times to move. One of those rules is the space reservation and in your case equals the amount of space we have reserved for your move. since the logistics for a very long move a plan ahead of time there is no way we can fill the reserved space for your shipment with someone else and we must bill the minim space on the truck reserved fot your move,

Review: Great Nation pickup a [redacted] vacuum and lost it in transit. After speaking with the operations manager (David Y.), I was told they delivered the item to another address and was not able to retrieve the item from the other customer. After filing a compensation was approved for a $35 payment to cover the vacuum based on weight insurance. After contacting the David again, he told me he would compensate me $150 for their error if I did not complete the claim process. After waiting several weeks for him to act, he never sent the $150 nor has he acknowledged any of my attempts to contact him since then.Desired Settlement: Payment of agreed $150 compensation

Review: I have numerous complaints about the misrepresentations that the company made in order for me to do business with them. The most obvious complaint, and for which I would be satisfied...I paid $2,938 based on the estimated weight of the items moved. The actual weight was significantly less and the company refuses to acknowledge the difference (which is only $362)

Additionally 1,043 pounds of funiture was damaged and I am trying to resolve that issue as well.

My claim is [redacted]

Job # [redacted]Desired Settlement: Great Nation should reimburse me for overpayment in the amount of $362.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Response:

Dear [redacted],We are truly sorry for your recent experience with our company.Regarding your move and charges that have occur. We have provided an estimate based on list of items client requested to move and we have performed a weighing procedure to determine the actual weight of the client shipmen. After reviewing all paper work, inventory and weight certificates we have found No Errors in calculation you weight. There is no good reason for you to ask for $362.00 since everything was charge according to our agreement. In attempt to resolve this matter and comply with Revdex.com policy I would like to offer you a compensation of $181.00 for the trouble our company may have caused you. You are still entitled to file a claim for damaged items during your move. Please let me know if that compensation is acceptable to you so I can have my billing department issue and send you a check right away.Thank You and we wish you best of luck in the future.

Review: After soliciting several offers to handle our move to Ohio, we decided to go with this company. We discussed and agreed to terms including price and the pick up and delivery dates. They sent us a document confirming the terms and we made a downpayment of $1800. The day before they were supposed to arrive, they called and tried to change the price terms dramatically upward. After several conversations where we explained they are bound by the terms of their agreement, they finally said they would honor the agreement. On June 12, 2014, they showed up close to 10 AM, with four guys and two trucks. There was insufficient manpower and space in the trucks to do the job and they did not end up taking all of our belongings. They also purport to be charging us close to $1000 in "supplies," which was never disclosed to us. Our house closing is tomorrow and they had agreed to deliver our belongings tomorrow. Now in a conversation today, they said they will not honor the delivery date and instead will deliver on the 22nd whenever they get around to it. Assuming they fail to honor the agreement, this will significantly affect our plans and cause us to incur damages. The owner of the company ([redacted]) was rude and adversarial. He said "get your arrangements in order" because they will not be there tomorrow. We have our arrangements in order. We hired this company, agreed to price and delivery dates, and at every step this company has tried to change the terms. [redacted] keeps telling me "there is no contract." He is wrong. We agreed on the terms and paid them money. There is even a document memorializing the terms. Now I am not optimistic our belongings will arrive in one piece but I am prepared to go to Court as needed. This company is very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: Desired outcome - I want our belongings delivered on the agreed-upon date and this company to abide by the terms of the agreement.

Review: I used this company to move my household goods from [redacted] to [redacted] Va. This company conducted a walkthrough estimate of my household goods and charged me $250 extra to dissasemble and reassembled my home gym. They showed up 2 days late for pickup with a very lame excuse of the truck being dirty. The movers that dissasembled my gym were not professional gym packers and did not know how to reassemble the gym at my new house. My gym is currently in a pile in my garage. I have tried nmerous times to either get someone to come out and reassemble it or refund the $250. Most of the times they do not answer my calls and I have to use different phones to contact them. I have an invoice with the below information:QuoteBased on the information you provided, cost is as follows:Miscellaneous Items:* FLAT MOVING SERVICE ...................................... = $1,450.00* DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY GYM HOIST V4 .................. = $250.00* ADDITIONAL COST PER HOUR IF CLIENT WANTS PACKING $135/HOUR = Total Price: ...................... $1,700.00Payment #1 (Visa) ................. $200.00BALANCE DUE: ...................... $1,500.00Desired Settlement: Refund of the $250 for the disassembly and reassembly of the gym.
