Great Nation Moving Reviews (103)

I would like to thank Great Nation Moving for the great service that I received from the very beginning of the relocation. I was very concerned for my upcoming move but with your company the whole process was so easy and everything went so smooth. Thank you for the help!

Dear Mr [redacted] and Mes [redacted],

we can not hire an air company to do freight on our behalf
before booking we have discused that we can only do...

anchorage AKclient is very well aware of that
Mr [redacted],  I will send you the original estimate and order for service for you to read and see our deal ends in Anchorage AK
the cost from Anchorage AK to Holy Cross AK is betwenn $15,500-$19,500 alone
there is no way for the amount we quoted to do all the job

The clinet And I am sorry to day is simply Lieung about that
Rose my saleswoman have told her this 10 times and cliemt says I know
I will take care of it after items are delivreder in Anchorage AK

This has been a very complicated move on our part due to the fact Ms. [redacted]’s has not been fully upfront on the circumstances.  We picked Ms. [redacted]’s Oct 25th, 2616. The contract she received was and always has been laid out in perfect terms. On the day of pickup she signed all the documents and never mentioned to me there was any issues with the contract. I checked in twice on the day of the move with her and the crew once. Ms. [redacted] added on paperwork when crew arrives,  where she wanted her belonging to be delivered on the contract in Anchorage which is [redacted] Air: [redacted] Place, Anchorage AK.   1.      We would deliver to Anchorage, Alaska. We do not do air freight and she would needed to pick an air carrier from Anchorage to Holly Cross, Alaska. Which she did pick and contact. 2.      On the contract she signed it states clearly we are only going to Anchorage and client is responsible from Anchorage to Holy Cross. 3.      We sent her belonging directly out within a week that we picked her up. From Pa to Anchorage Alaska is 2702 Miles. International line crossing into Canada and customs check and hold.     4.      Within 4 days of packing Ms. [redacted]’s  she had been sent final bill and this was to allow time for her to be prepared. Over a month there we had little if any communication with our office. 5.      When we notified her that her shipment was in the delivery window within 2 weeks is when problems started occurring. She claimed she did not have the funds, no internet, no banks, and so on. The director of logistic explained everything to her as did accounting. She had 8 weeks to be prepared and caused drama stating she did not know this?! 6.      On her bill she had additional packing charges and was debating this as well. But these services were rendered and on the day of packing she never mentioned any problem. Quite the opposite and was thrilled how well everything was packed and taken care of. She was told the charges before she departed and there was not a question. 7.      We received a call on 11/30/2016 from a friend of hers trying to find out what was going on. We explained these are the charges and she was aware of them. She explained she was selling her home in two weeks and would have money. (DOES THIS MEAN WE TRANSPORTED HER GOODS AND SHE KNEW SHE COULD NOT PAY)? Which is worse because we would not of sent the shipment. 8.      Then the texting between accounting and myself began over a three day period. She stated she wanted to know where we dropped off her good on the side of the road. I texted her explaining NEVER EVER WOULD WE DO THAT!  Please stop with the nonsense. 9.      Ms. [redacted]’s was explained to for three days by accounting, we can accept cash, money order, bank check or wire. Accounting was on the phone with her and her bank. HER bank was telling her what she wanted to do she was not able to do. She was unable to get a Western Union out, and we tried all avenues to accommodate her needs. 10.   We paid all Tariff, Tolls, Taxes, International charges: 11.   Then at 11 PM  11/30/2016  she started  texting wanting to know where I was?! I stated in Maryland and it was 11PM. She went on to text saying she was telling everyone that would listen we are holding her belonging.  That we were not capable of delivering her belongings and so on.12.   The air freight company called on 11/29/2016  saying Ms. Sounder had been inquiring about her shipment and knew she was responsible to have it airlifted to Holy Cross. According to the airfreight company they stated she was fully aware of the charges and the way the process goes.    13.   From day one Ms. [redacted]’s was fully 100% aware of the charges and they delivery window.  10/25/2016 to 12/31/106 and we are a month ahead of that schedule. 14.   She stated she had not internet, could not receive picture to her phone but she could send them to us and contact you as well. 15.   At first she was going to used [redacted] Air and for whatever reason she changed to Evert Air. We have made every effort to accommodate and help her through this process.   16.   I pride myself in being as upfront and direct with clients. I know she wanted her stuff as soon as possible and we have done that. The driver has been there two days waiting to see what is going one. Accounting has spent a total of 4 hours going over her accounting and solutions for her. Mimi in accounting even paid the express mail for her so they payment can get here and we can close this matter. 17.   Mimi has sent many texts to her that she instigated with the same issues she has been having the last 5 days. 18.   12/1/2016 the texting started again at 11:30 PM wanting to know where her belonging were. I stated in the text the Air company you choose is where they will be  delivered. 19.   We have a 18 wheeler in Anchorage waiting now three days to offload, this is costing money and expenses while we wait on her to send payment to us. Only a partial payment has been made and we are waiting. MS Sounder could care less at the mess she has created.    Attached is the paperwork, and you can see she added a lot more items to her list than what we were originally told.

Great Nation Moving is just so awesome. I am a type of person who handles my things and stuff with care and it really gives me stress every time we are moving here and there (coz of my husband’s work).Upon the transportation to our drop-off location, my things were stored securely and the movers were so efficient. I am truly happy with you guys. I will remember you in our next move.

This company was recommended to me by a friend and because of their amazing service, they really should be recommended to others as well. Professionals movers who were not only quick but diligent as well. No wonder they have lots of good reviews. It was indeed worth it hiring these guys.

My previous two moves had nothing that I'd love to remember. The mover destroyed nearly all my furniture in the first instance. Then some of my things, especially electronics, ended up missing during the second. I was really worried when again I required the services of a moving company, because I didn’t know what would happen or what I would lose. I, however, have my father to thank for recommending Great Nation Moving to me. This time my mover delivered everything, from the smallest to the largest and from the lightest to the heaviest, in perfect condition. Great Nation Moving were suggested to me by my father, and I recommend them to everyone.

Our move was scheduled for the day the hurricane hit! I couldn’t have been more impressed by how our move was handled. He in Operations kept in contact with me daily to provide updated information on how we would proceed and worked diligently to get a team together just days after all the destruction to complete our move. The crew worked hard and efficiently even when it got dark out and they had to unload the truck into our home that was powerless. My husband was against using a moving company at first, but after using Great Nation Moving he agreed it was the best choice!

Dear Revdex.com,We are truly sorry our clients has turned into your assistance for resolving this complaint. The complaint is already closed and have send a settlement compensation to the client for the amount of $175.00The client should have recede the check by now.Once again we are sorry for this...

complaint.

The guys were timely, clean cut and had the tools and equipment to do the job right. Also found their pricing to be very fair. Would recommend them highly!

In a word, I'd say the move was Flawless, Amazing and a Breeze! The team was a delight and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. My husband and I said to each other during the chaos, "we really picked the best movers ever!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.While I accept the response, I also highly recommend that the Revdex.com no longer provide Great Nation with an A+ rating based on their dealings with me. Great Nation's representation that a form contract would supersede dickered terms in a consumer transaction does not comport with the law of any state. To the business: I will accept the $100 reimbursement. Unless Revdex.com provides for a different procedure, please mail a check to my New York address; you can have Rose contact me directly with any further questions.

I am rejecting this response because:We have records of email and text responses with [redacted]. All attempts at written, emails, or text communication have been responded to. We are no longer interested in phone conversations without the presence of a third party. [redacted] has agreed to get back to us today regarding his best offer. The $500 compensation does not come close to compensating for the time and labor from the 4 of us [redacted] working from 6am until 3am because Great Nation failed to provide the necessary number of workers (5-6 was promised) to complete the job by deadline. It barely covers the materials that [redacted] had to purchase locally in order for us to finish packing. Also, Great Nation failed to meet target move date that was contractually provided for Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28. Movers did not show up until morning of Sunday, May 28, which then put us in a stressful position. Great Nation would not have been able to complete the job without our assistance. Great Nation was not prepared to handle this job and took on the contract of this move knowing they had over-booked themselves that weekend. We have offered [redacted] a solution ($12,000. 70 as stated in the original contract) which we feel is adequate to cover his expenses based on fair labor wages, 3 local storage units, and the gas and fees with transporting our belongings to [redacted]. Great Nation is not to touch or move our belongings from Public Storage at [redacted] until we come to a fair agreement.

I'm not much for reviews; this is actually the first one I have ever done in my life. Mind you I'm 76 so this will be short. The guys are great, the office is great, and the move was great. God Bless guys.

The company took care of everything, following strictly all my requirements; also there was no additional stress for my employees. are looking forward to solve the issue

Dear Mr [redacted], Mrs [redacted] and Revdex.com representative,
This is [redacted],
I am the majority shareholder of Great Nation Moving,
I would like to first of all  apologies for all the misunderstanding regarding dates and all the rest of the issues. I am truly sorry we were unable  to deliver a great service on a great price. We do always try to deliver better service on a reasonable Price.
I have review all the paperwork and communication via mail from, Greg, Rose and Mimi, and I do apologies for that the case has not being closed and or resolved by now.
Regarding the estimated cost for the move from Charllottesville VA to Denver CO, we have provided 2 different estimate based on the request of the client. Here is where the major miscommunication is happening.
Estimate Number one was for the estimated weight of 5305 lbs and for client self pack move where client is packing all the boxes and breakables and estimated cost was for $$4510,07,,,, with a doiscoutn provided by Greg for the amount of $902, Total Price is $3,608.07. Also on the original estimate there is a clear statement that estimate for a fullback will be $4,577.00(and the client is assuming they will take an additional $900 off with is the major mistake in the entire process, the price is already with the added discount and it was not $900 but $1145)
Estimate Number two was including all packing boxes labor and breakables, and the price per pound is higher because of all the labor and supplies . The estimate was for the same weight of 5305 lbs and the total cost was $5722.42, Greg Smith has provided a one time booking discount for the amount of $1145 and we come to the actual contract amount of $4,577.42, this is the number under which our client has sign the agreement and all paperworks,if the client was left with the impression that we will take an additional $900 Off they should have raise that issue much earlier in the negotiation for the job, before pick up or any time, just to call and ask why the numbers are like that and not how they have expected,
Mr and Mrs [redacted] have only approached us regarding this $900 few weeks after the job was completed and only when they needed to file a claim.
We have provided them with two prices:
Self pack for 5305 lbs - $3,608.07
Full Pack for 5305  lbs - $4,577.42
The actual weight came up to be 5,960 lbs, weight certificates were provided to client,  that is with 655 lbs additional weight.
That is all about the bill, there is no mistake or misunderstanding, Why the client is taking an additional $900 Off from their Full Pack Price is a Mystery.
I would like to make one more final attempt in resolving this matter, I would like to give them the opportunity not sign the release claim settlement and still be entitled to the compensation which I am willing to increase to the significant amount of $750 (on a move with total  cost of $5,278 that represents 14% from the entire moving cost, our profit margins are at 5-10% which will leave us at a loss on this move),Also I will be ok with the client just rewriting the reviews on [redacted] and [redacted] but I would like to know in advance of how happy and satisfied they will be with my company and what star ratings they will give us and how the review will look like, I am Ok with my clients leaving us a fair review when they say the good and the bad with the company, that helps us clear all the flaws in our services and helps us become better, but I do not agree with statements that are not true and defame our organization,we are a small business that is trying to deliver outstanding quality of service every time and to all of our clients. So please if you are interested, do not sign the settlement agreement, just send me via email at [redacted] and or here on the Revdex.com platform both reviews with the way you guys are planing to re-wright them and the new stars you are willing to give us, After that if that is satisfactory to meI will accept and will issue the check that will be send Overnight to client and then they can re-wright the posts.
I hope Mr [redacted] and Mrs [redacted] will find this satisfactory and we will be able to close and resolve this matter as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact me at any time on my cell at ###-###-####
I also wanted to Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help you move to CO and I promise  We will learn from this experience and we will be better Tomorrow.
I hope we will be able to resolve this matter.
