Worst ltl in world not only did forget to load my package on a truck ln Indiana which caused a day delay beyond the delivery date that was supposed to receive it .when it did finally arrive there were different holes in the package .the fender suffered some damage and some of the hard wear was missing absolutely unaceptable !! Would not voluntarily chose ups to do any shipping for me

I've used UPS numerous times in my life, but this time stands out as one of the worst, most difficult, and must upsetting experience everBecause of that, I want to make sure it is shared for other consumers to beware
My wife and I ordered a couch back in September, around the 5th of this year trough *** At that time, she was still pregnant with our first child, third trimesterWe needed a new couch to have something comfortable for her to use since she would be taking time away from work, obviously, and would want to rest in comfort with our newborn while nursing, playing, etc
UPS was the designated carrier and claimed to have made multiple attempts from the 20th of September through into October(Note: delivery was orignally promised by the 10th.) None of these attempts actually occurred as they saidNo callNo ringing of the bellNo using our callboxNothingSometimes we would get a missed package notice, but most often not
As we noticed our couch still hadn't arrived and we were calling to try to figure out how to get itObviously, it being a couch we needed it delivered it wasn't like I could lift and carry it by myself from a delivery center, and certainly my wife could not help in her advanced stage of pregnancy
I spoke with a multitude of customer service representatives and supervisors "Beauty," "Irene," "Nice," "Laquida," "Marisa," "Patrick," and "James." All of them, in one way or another, failed and lied to us
The customer services representatives regularly failed to forward us to supervisors on requestThey failed to callback with more information like they promisedThey failed to provide accurate status updatesThey failed to even know where our package was half the time!
The supervisors, were, if possible, worseThey made big promises, provided supposedly direct phone numbers to contact them, gave us multiple assurances on delivery, apologized profusely about our experience, promised callbacks and updates, etc
But ultimately, they still failed to get the delivery in line and get us our packageI sent message to UPS via Twitter a promised phone-call never cameI sent them multiple emails promised responses never cameMy wife and I began to suspect that UPS had simply destroyed, lost, or stolen our package and we were preparing to file a claim but, before it got to that I was able to speak directly with the distribution center staff to figure out when delivery would be made
On the day of deliver, the same issues again occurred no call, no knock, no doorbell ring, no using the callbox, no buzzer, no noteIt took my then very pregnant wife literally standing near the front gate to our apartment complex watching for the delivery to see what happened
deliverers from UPS come to the gate with the packageWrite out a slip, but keep the slip, and then try to leaveMy wife, bless her, chased them to the street and cajoled them to get the couch delivered to our front doorShe pleaded we needed the new couch and she was too pregnant to lift it herself(At this time, I'm at work in my office.)
They, begrudgingly take the couch to the door, but refuse to slide it in the doorMy wife had to beg a neighbor to help her get it all the way in
At no point in this painful, humiliating, and frustrating process did UPS offer recompense for our troubles, or even provide a level of core competency to do the *** job they were hired to do! Get our couch from point A to point B
I could go on at length in further detail about the failures here, but given that it took us from September to October to get a delivery that should've taken days with so many problems already specified, this incident stands for itself in my opinion
My advice? Avoid UPS if you live in an apartment complexBut if you must use them, don't trust always verifyAlways ask to speak to a supervisorAlways escalate your issueAlways utilize multiple levels of communicationAlways demand to get the number to the actual warehouse where your package isAlways demand a refund when they failIf you have the option or ability, take legal action for small claims, or at least mediation/arbitration
UPS, you failed miserably hereI hope others who have no choice but to deal with your services take my experience to avoid your terrible, lazy, and incompetent services

Had a delivery scheduled and ups incorrectly sorted it and sent it to the wrong city and then was told that they aren't sure when it will be out for delivery or where it even wasVery very poor employees working thereIt is their job to know where's peoples packages are and to make sure they get out correctly especially when people pay for that service!! And ups acts like we are the bad people cause we are the upset ones cause they made the careless mistakeOn top of that they don't even try to fix the issue by overnighting the package they say it will be delivered in a few days!!!!

The most incompetent delivery company I've experience in my life, even the *** is ten times betterI've ordered a lot from *** and the only times I had any issues is with *** deliveryUPS drivers are the only one that are not able to call or there is no way to get in contact with themI even provided a front gate key to one of your drivers to make it easier to deliver, but it doesn't help at allYesterday (Friday), was the last straw, since I was waiting for a very important shipment that contained a gift I need today (Saturday)I even paid extra for next day delivery, was at home the whole day, authorised a shipment release online and still your driver was not able to deliver it and after half of hour on the phone with half-English speaking customer representative I was told that there is now way to get the package until Monday afternoonShame, real shame!

Horrible automated customer service and by the time you get to a real person you can't understand themWhich isn't a big deal as they don't know anything anyway

I live in an apartment complex and when ever I get a package delivered if I am not home to receive it personally it is either left outside my personal apartment door or a notice of failed delivery is leftBut this time the package was left outside the outside door so anyone waking by could just pick it up and walked away with itI work 2nd shift so I didn't get home until 11pm to find it there and thankfully it still wasI cannot believe that this happened and makes me very skeptical about choosing UPS as a carrier again

I had an Amazon return that was to be picked up by UPS on 4/20/The UPS driver arrived to deliver a package (we are a business) and he saw it and said the call ticket was not available so he could not take itWe waited another week and no one showed upI took the package to the main location in Williston on 5/The gal there could not bring up the call ticket and she went to the backAfter waiting minutes I was told the call ticket service was down and they needed IT to fix itI could wait and see if they could take the package without the call ticket while they fixed the systemI was traveling and now minutes behind schedule so I took it with meUpon returning to work after my trip, I called UPS as the package was still not picked up and I was told by the customer service that the driver said there was "no such location" for our office which has been here for more than years and is a street level, only business at this address building, AND they manage to deliver to us frequentlyThe number said they would have the Williston Center call me before pm on 5/5/Rebecca did call and she said that the driver put in some code that cancelled the call ticketSo we have one saying the call tag is not available, the next one saying no such address, the next saying the call tag system is down and NOW I'm told the driver made an error and I have to contact AmazonWhy should Amazon have to fix UPS's problem? UPS should be more than able to fix their issues and correct ANY errors made by their people- we all make mistakes- just fix the mistake- sounds like a simple concept to meI asked for a manager or the main UPS number and she told me to call the pickup number againAm I angry, you bet- this is absolutely the most ridiculous customer service failure I've ever seenUPS should be ashamed of this major failure and if I ran a business like this, I would be on the unemployment lineFortunately Amazon resolved it with we gave you the credit, keep it and the item and do what you want with the itemI don't believe Amazon should have to be responsible for the failure of UPS to pick up a package BUT they have outstanding customer service and solved the problem while I was on the phone in less than minutesCustomer service should be solved in minutes, not days with repeat calls

These mns lost a package that was 18"x18"x30" and weighed over lbs! All I got was an endless run-around from customer service people saying they were trying to locate it, not recording that I spoke with them, sending me claim forms for the package that had links that didn't work, and in the end they're going to issue me a cool $for a $itemI switched to UPS after poor customer service from *** and apparently they're even worseI guess when you have a monopoly of two companies neither cares about providing good service

I ordered a microwave for my Grandmother who lives in another stateThe UPS driver brought it inside and got it set up for herShe lives alone, and would not have been able to pick this item up by herselfI am grateful this UPS driver helped my NanaThis act of kindness made my Christmas very specialTracking number ***

As a small to medium sized company, we rely on our freight companiesUPS Freight has negatively effected our business by picking up a large shipment to a major retailer and not delivering it! Instead, they are holding it in their warehouse because they say that the person who deals with this retailer is out sickThink about this for a moment! This is UPS, a major company and only one person can make a phone call to schedule delivery?!?! Seems pretty odd to us that only one person can do this when the company is as huge as they are! You would also think that they would have contacted the retailer for delivery before they pick it upInstead, a large order that was picked up on Monday and scheduled for delivery on Tuesday, is still sitting in their warehouse on Thursday, with no estimated delivery dateToo make matters even worse, we get the run around or people not returning our calls
Dont use!

A decade ago when I lived in Salem, MA, I had great experiences with UPSOver the years, however, I have had numerous issues with UPS package delivery and customer service, specifically my local Norwood, MA branchBecause of this fact, I avoid them when at all possibleUnfortunately, this is not always within my control
Last month, my mother purchased a beautiful rug for my birthday gift, and the company shipped it via UPSOnce I learned this (when given the tracking #)I immediately expected a problemSadly, they did not prove me wrongI waited for the whole day in my living room (sometimes literally at the window), eagerly anticipating my giftThe package never arrivedI checked the tracking info online around pm, making sure the expected delivery date hadn't changed for some reason, which has happened in the pastInstead, it said the delivery had indeed been attempted an hour earlier, and then said mins later that it would be available for piONLY at "THE UPS ACCESS POINT LOCATION" the next business dayThis is a 37-lb, 5'x8' rug!
I KNEW undoubtedly that they had not comeI didn't even go into the bathroom; no way could I have missed themI searched for the "Sorry We Missed You" delivery slip in my building- my floor and the first floor, and even my neighboring building's door/lobby, as countless delivery mistakes have been made in the pastAs suspected, no slip for that day- for anyoneIn fact, the next building had slips from previous days, so there wasn't any indication that they'd even been in the complex that day
Trying to summarize...When I called for an explanation, an ETA, and perhaps an apology, I got the run-around, and of course NEVER able to get someone's direct number for help, only they can call usWhen I finally did speak with someone in Norwood, after several attempts to connect, and telephone cat-and-mouse (w/Jack), I was met with an extremely smug, unapologetic, and belittling attitude from Andrea, who made it clear that she could not care any less about my concernsShe did explain that the new policy is that after only one delivery attempt, packages are automatically redirected for piat local access points, unless requested otherwise by senderOf course no delivery was truly attempted in my caseAndrea spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner, and refused to admit even the possibility of error on the company's behalf, even after trying to use the expected "well, there was a new driver on the route today" excuseThe laughter in the background only worsened the experience
Luckily for me, my neighbor/friend knows a driver dispatched from the same center, and she called himHe laughed awkwardly and said that the same thing happens constantly with drivers in my complex, and he has no idea whyHe also said that they're supposed to come back that same day, especially since it was before pm (well before the pm cut-off), and my location on the routeFinally, he said they should make at least one more delivery attempt before changing to pionly
I was already aware of all of this; sad that the company is not, especially since its employees clearly are
The bottom line: I finally got my package the following day (mins before the latest guaranteed ETA I was given)The driver said that dispatch AND his fellow employee (my neighbor's friend) called him to emphasize the importance of the delivery reaching on timeOf course this allegedly was not the same driver who had made the errorFinally this was resolved after a LOT of run-around, and far too much effort on my part, and my mother'sBeing the buyer, she helped to escalate the matterShe spoke with Josh in Utah, who actually seemed concerned, and was quite helpful in getting me connected with Ken, manager in Norwood CenterKen apologized for my extremely sour experience, ensured me that all parties involved were disciplined, and told me to call his personal number in case of any future issues
I have had one UPS delivery since thenThankfully without complication

UPS was kind enough to all of the sudden list my address as "Package Centers determine that your location is not a Driver Release Area" which then they wouldn't leave packages as they had in the past, and they wouldn't allow you to sign the back of the notice to leave the packageAnd then when you call customer service the rep blames it on the driver and they they decide what to leave and not leaveI live in a very safe/ very low crime area After my attempt to contact UPS via phone and chat I finally found out how to allow them to leave a package after of course I paid $to re-route packages to my work as they will only attempt delivery during a week day during work hours Thanks UPS for destroying a little girls Christmas And for always putting your customers first Good thing FedEx and USPS is still around and actually have the customers best interest in mind and not their bottom dollar

I ordered a pair of boots from *** on Saturday night 12/10/16, when they said it was going to be delivered by UPS, I was leeryToday, 12/13/ I received a status update that the package was delivered on 12/12/that is a bold faced LIEI live in a multi unit dwelling and we have a bldg mgr(the landlord) NO PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED
I get packages from *** all the time, ALL of the delivery guys know to leave packages in our ofcMy bldg mrg is *** off and I am *** offNow I am being told that I need to contact *** for an investigationWho needs to be investigated is the *** driveI am so angry because those boots cost me and I needed them for work & the weatherI do not want my money back I need my boots
Its like the drivers are not held responsible for their laziness or stupidnessI called to lodge a complaint and I was passed around and around
Me and tons of others will not ever use UPS again, this is ridicilousThere is a website that warns others of using UPS (especially when ordering from high end stores) and I used to think those folks were petty w/their complaints and now I am ONE OF THEM
I plan to contact a higher up about this matter, I am not letting this one slide

Ordered cookies for Christmas and sent to relatives via Day DeliverySupposed had been delivered on the 23rd of DecemberWhen I realized that by 9:30PM the package has not moved for an entire day, I calledHad to call times, customer service was rude, kept hanging up on me while apparently trying to call the facility and locate the package, I am pretty sure no one did that, because after over min on hold each time they apparently just hang up the lineSo when I called the third time I was understandably upsetNow this lady tells me "oh well, will will not be delivered when you want it to be delivered, we are too busyIt might get delivered tomorrow." If you are so busy, you should not expect us to pay $$$ for a specific deliveryShe was absolutely rude, UPS needs to employ better people! The best thing is, I logged in the next morning to see of indeed the package will be there supposedly on the 27th! That is worst than a ground shipping and is absolutely unacceptable! It's the works company ever! I will NEVER AGAIN use UPS for anything!
Over the past couple years, this company went from Good, to OK, to now just simply horrible!

UPS is my absolute last choice for any delivery service currently availableOn every occasion I have had something shipped by them, the driver has walked up to my door without my package, refused to knock, and left a sticker on my door declaring I had used one of my three strikes before they would send my package back to senderThey give the option to have the driver leave the package at the door, but in order to do so, you have to allow UPS to give up all responsibility for any damage they cause to the package, which is absolutely insaneNo other shipping company requires thatThis forces me to wait outside in the elements (which in Florida can include heat in the 90's) for my package, losing out on work and putting my health in dangerIf you sign up for their My Choice program, they will provide you with a 4-hour delivery window that they will then completely ignoreI have spoken to multiple customer service representatives who always give the same line"The four-hour window is an estimate, it can arrive any time between 9am and 7pmIf you want a guaranteed two-hour delivery window, you can pay $8"UPS isn't a legitimate business, it's an extortion scheme! You pay for a service, but if you don't pay for their "extras", they won't provide you the original serviceAbsolutely disgusting

My packages have been sitting all week saying weather relatedIt did storm Monday and Tuesday, but the roads have all been opened and decent weather the rest of the week, still no packages by FridaySent a couple emails but nothing has been answeredWebsite says they will deliver as soon as possiblePackages that were scheduled to be delivered on Monday are still sitting in the same place SaturdayThey must shut down for winter

The *** has already been**iled ( with someone in the Philippines ) (whatever happened to local service?)
Working in my home office (4**t.**rom the door) I heard a noiseUps had dropped a packageI asked the driver why he did not knock and he said " get a***ing door bell
Hopped in his truck and leftIf this is the quality and level of service, I don't think I need Ups again and recommend that no one else use them

Very incompetent and dishonest Extensive delays on Next Day delivery Guaranteed deliveries that never happened Everyone I have talked to has out right lied about whereabouts of packages and delivery times
