I personally feel that the noise my motorcycle is making is not a noise it was designed to make otherwise all twin cam engines would also make it, therefore it is a defect in craftsmanship and should be repaired under the warranty that was included in the price of the motorcycle. As such I do not find this acceptable.

Thank you for contacting Harley-Davidson with your request.  While our voluntary recall does provide for free repair, we do not provide payment to customers to have a recall completed on their motorcycle.  We appreciate your loyalty as a Harley-Davidson customer, and apologize for the...

inconvenience this recall has caused you.

of Harley-Davidson’s Cosmetic Guidelines.

I contacted Brandt’s Harley-Davidson on June 3, 2016 and we
agreed that in the interest of customer satisfaction Mr. [redacted]’s saddlebag bottom
will be replaced. The replacement saddlebag bottom is currently on order and
the Service Department of Brandt’s Harley-Davidson will contact him when the

Per the manufacturers request I am providing the additional details:VIN: [redacted]Purchase Date: 09/2015Purchase Place: Bent Bike in Lynnwood, WAI also called HD customer service and they provided me with a CASE ID: 2591234 - However the representative was very rude saying I dont care if you could have died or killed other people the bike is out of warranty and not our fault. I was shockd that Harley Davidson could say something like that as safety is No 1 priority when riding motorcycles and I doubt that was only the representatives thinking and not Harley Davidsons response as this can be a huge reliability issue if not addressed properly.

I have already stated my reasons.  This is a prime example of why Victory and Indian are selling so many bikes to former LOYAL Harley Davidson customers.  [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, provided that the dealership completes the work in a reasonable time frame and resolves the issue that is causing the damage so further damage doesn't occur. It is my sincere hope that the company addresses the other concerns mentioned in the original complaint and makes modifications to this accessory to alleviate any further complaints. Additionally, it would be nice to see improvements made to their customer service policies. This has certainly been an ordeal. Many thanks to the Revdex.com for helping resolve this issue and thanks to the company for finally stepping up and doing the right thing.

Thank you for providing the Vehicle Identification Number for Mr. [redacted]'s Trike.  As the Trike has been modified with the non-Harley-Davidson tested mudflaps, which do not flex, we cannot offer any assistance to this repair.  While we understand the mudflaps were installed last year, it usually takes some time and mileage before a condition like this occurs.

Revdex.com can close this out.  I do not accept their response, but I am already well aware that HD has no desire to do right by their many customers affected by this, and will continue to claim the "expired" warranty card, vice actually looking into this known issue on many models of the 2009 FLH series and issuing a recall.Again, I will be parting ways with HD permanently, and using word of mouth to honestly describe my many issues with the HD Corporation and their dealerships.

--We are sorry Mr. [redacted] is not happy with our response. We have tried to explain the brackets are attached to the motorcycle and were obviously removed by a prior owner of the motorcycle prior to his purchase of it.--I want to say:I am sorry HD is not happy with my response. HD knows this is a Recall issue as I have pointed there is no mounting bracket on this motorcycle for the mufflers which is obviously a design error prior to manufacturing this model bike. HD refuses to resolve this issue and I will be filing a legal case with the US court to resolve this issue since HD doesnt care if someone can DIE becasue of this issue on their motorcycles they designed and manufactured.
