Review: I received advertising in the postal mail. Sounded like a good deal, and healthy food. I ordered one box of food. Food was terrible. I called immediately to cancel my account. The next day another box appeared on my porch, out of the blue. I didn't order this box. My [redacted] account was charged. I didn't know they had put me on auto ship. I have been going back and forth with e-mails trying to get my money back. They refuse to give me a refund. Say they will credit my account for the next order. Told them, there will not be a next order. I have been going back and forth with them for 2 weeks. They refuse to give me a refund.Desired Settlement: Credit to my [redacted] account

Review: Purchased a Groupon on 11/**/2015 for 2 weeks of meal delivery for 2 people consisting of 3 meals. I opened account on HelloFresh and used my voucher, I requested delivery date of 12/**/2015 and 12/**/2015 (this gift was for a present). The first delivery did not come until 1/*/2016 and it was a double order of 6 meals, received the second order on 1/**/2016 and again it was a double order of 6 meals. I went on line and canceled subscription immediately on 1/**/2016, received an email confirmation of cancellation on 1/**/2016. On 1/**/2016 received a delivery of 3 meals, I figured that must be the last and final delivery and if needed I would pay for the delivery of $69.00. I again received another delivery notification on 1/**/2016, I went on line and my subscription was active again, I deactivated again and refused package on 1/**/2016. I have called 3 different times and have been placed on hold for 45 minutes at which point the automatic message comes on and tells me no one was available to take my call and the phone hangs up. I have also tried the call back option, but receive a call that there is no one available. I have also emailed Hello Fresh with a response that someone will get back to me. I contacted my credit card company and have been charged $69.00 on 1/*/2016, 1/**/2016, and 1/**/2016. I should be credited on my account since I have cancelled on two separate occasions and refused delivery.Desired Settlement: I would like the Revdex.com to get my account credited accordingly as well as to ensure that I will not have an active account.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by HelloFresh regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because they stated I double clicked activation code and had two subscriptions and that is why they kept sending me product. I asked for explanation on to why a customer service rep did not contact me about this issue and how I was able to set up the account twice with same issue and items without a red flag going up- no response.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business

When I didn't receive a package tracking number the product didn't arrive after three weeks, I wrote the company asking where it was. Only then, did I discover they had misrepresented the product, in that I wasn't getting the product, just some gift card that I then had to use on their web site.

If I knew I was just getting a gift card instead of the product, then I would have gone to their site directly and placed my order.

Even though I now discovered their misrepresentation, I haven't even received the supposed gift card.

Looking back at their [redacted] page, if you look carefully at the Legal Disclaimer do you notice their mention of a gift card purchase.

This is purposely deceptive advertising hiding behind the ruse of a legal disclaimer.

Now I see on their [redacted] page that they have a "No Refunds" policy. I can understand completely why they'd want to have such a policy in-place, given their shady operation and deceptive practices.

Other complaints against this company noted repeated billing/over-billing issues once they get your credit card information. Even if I did get a gift card, there's no way I'd use it on their site, as presumably they'll want my credit card information and I'll just become another over-billing victim.Desired Settlement: I want nothing less than the entire $69 refunded.

Sincerely,

Review: My delivery from Hello Fresh was scheduled for delivery on 6/**/15. It was delivered to my home late in the afternoon of 6/**/15. The box had text on it stating delivery was to be by 11:00 a.m. on 6/**. It was delivered on 6/** at 3:30 p.m. All of the ice packs had melted and the box was full of absolutely disgusting rancid meat. Most of the produce had gone bad and some of it was floating in putrid brown liquid. The smell was unbearable and the fetid meat had to be triple bagged for the trash. The few ingredients in the box that had not turned smelled like the rancid meat and were equally unusable.

This was meant to be my free box to allow me to try the service.

I contacted customer service on 6/** and corresponded with [redacted], who passed the blame onto [redacted], saying [redacted] made an error. They acknowledged that there was no way to guarantee my next delivery would not be left to rot and delivered completely spoiled. They refused to give me a refund or cancel my delivery scheduled for 6/**.

Ostensibly, since the food is "fresh" it would not be packed four days ahead and my delivery could have been cancelled, but they refused.

They offered me a credit towards yet another box, which they could not assure me would be delivered in any sort of edible condition, so I refused the credit.

I pressed the issue, and they tried to convince me to sign up for an extra [redacted] service that would allow me to reroute my package for an extra fee. Customer service, again, insisted there was no way to cancel my delivery for 6/** and refused a refund. Upon my third request, in which I explained that forcing me to sign up for an extra [redacted] service that I would have to pay for myself was unacceptable, they offered a partial refund, and tried to dissuade me from filing a dispute with my credit card company.

I asked for both a refund and delivery cancellation a fourth time and demanded a more in-depth explanation as to why they can't cancel my delivery. The response was as follows:

"We have a very strict cutoff on Wednesday at 11:59pm of the week before the following calendar week's delivery. We order from small, local vendors and have to give them the opportunity to prepare our ingredients. Once the orders have been given to the vendors we can not change them. Since our recipes change every week, we do not store any previous ingredients in our warehouse."

It looks like their so-called fresh ingredients are packed a week before delivery.

I never received an edible free box to try. They refused to cancel my next delivery or refund my money after admitting they cannot guarantee an even remotely fresh, non-putrid delivery without forcing me to pay extra for an add-on [redacted] service. Edwin in customer service refused my requests for delivery cancellation and refunds four times.Desired Settlement: A full refund of the $69.00 charged to my credit card and cancellation of a 6/**/15 delivery. I requested this outcome four times and was refused each time.
