Who knows if they are any good? Free trial was never delivered, and before we could straighten that out, they charged my card for another week, which was never deliveredThey made up a story about how they delivered itThey never sent delivery informationI lost a lot of money to this companyIt's a scam

As others have reported, I tried Hello Fresh and then paused my account, being unhappy with it After months and with no notice to me, a box showed up today A box I did not order nor want When I called sutomer service, I was told they could not and would not refund the cost of that box - only half, because I had already received it I immediately cancelled my account with them, and hope I will indeed receive a refund for at least half In addition, much of the produce in the unwanted box I received was spoiled and unusable So I am being charged for food that I can't use and that I don't want

I have been using Hello Fresh on a regular basis since the middle of November The first time I used them was because I had a coupon for a free box - meals for people, that is what I got and it was delicious! Before I even received that first box I had paused my meals for the following week but un-paused them as soon as I made my first meal I have received nothing but fantastic customer service, communication and unbelievably fresh, wonderful mealsI have referred friends that have begun to use Hello Fresh as well and they have had a positive experience as well I came here to write this because I recommended Hello Fresh to a friend but that friend said they saw some negative comments here on this site I know that folks are more likely to complain when they are upset than they are to give praise when they are happy with something

I tried a few boxes with Hello Fresh and found that they were expensive and time consuming to cook so I wanted to stop my subscription On their app I could only find a pause button and I paused everything that was listed I was under the impression that I had successfully paused my subscription Two months later a charge appears on for $ I called immediately and spoke to a manager named Jesse who tells me that I am only able to pause weeks at a time and that the best he can do is meet me half way with a 50% refund He said he would also follow up with an email He did neither of the things that he said he would do He was also rude and told me to tell all of my friends about my poor experience with Hello Fresh and that would be just fine with him Upon researching the app further I still could not find a cancel or stop subscription button I called again and this time spoke with Janaiya who was very nice and quite helpfulShe searched for quite some time and could not find a cancel button eitherIt wasn't until later in an email she said she found where I could have gone on the app to cancel my subscription I believe that Hello Fresh makes it difficult to cancel your subscription and then tricks you into only pausing your subscription only to start it right back up again Janaiya agreed with my concerns and refunded my money only after I told her of my plans to report with the Revdex.com and to describe my experience with other reviews on line I am making this report to warn other customers and to encourage Hello Fresh to fix their app to be very clear and simple for both pausing and canceling a subscription

Horrible customer serviceTheir Web Site is easy until you try to cancelI thought it was cancelled and I'm now receiving a package I didn't want and of course being charged for itCustomer service rep while polite was not helpfulManagement was rudeDon't order from this company unless you are willing to put up with poor customer service

I have been a Hello Fresh customer for almost a yearThe food selection and quality are always excellentThe recipes and preparation truly are minutes which is helpful for a busy familyI have only had one issue with a delivery, no fault of Hello Fresh [redacted] delivered a day later than expectedI called customer service and told them my concern that the meals had sat over night at a warehouseThey immediately offered to replace anything I felt need to be and gave me a $credit for my next meal box

If you like being charged without knowing you signed up for a subscription when you only wanted to try a box and not to mention the overpriced food, poor customer service and damaged goods then read no further This whole thing started with a Groupon I thought it sounded like a good deal so I decided to try it When I received the box I was excited, until I opened it The ingredient boxes were packaged upside down and the vegetables were bruised and broken, the freezer packs had slid to one side of the box leaving a package of ground beef uncovered and warm when I picked it up All of the freezer packs were thawed and busted open oozing gel all over the place It made a mess on my kitchen floor After sending at least emails and several Facebook private messages about my, for lack of a better description, poorly packed box I was more than disappointed in the lack of response Then a week later a box showed up on my doorstep There had been no communication regarding the delivery I assumed it was to make up for the first box In this second box two of the ingredient boxes were still packed upside down and of the freezer packs were busted but still partially frozen The insulated packaging was different in this box and seemed better All in all a lack luster experience on, now, two boxes I appreciate the free box as compensation but I would have also appreciated some communication What if I had been out of town? Then the next week I was charged $for another box I had not signed up for a subscription and I had to contact customer support (at this point I went with the online chat, it was much faster) to have it refunded and cancelled Overall the concept is good, definitely lacking customer service, though pricey and disorganized All of the ingredients are portioned out and aside from some chopping and the actual cooking there isn't much else The quantity of meat is less than I would have liked (for a family box) and they use a lot of grains and onion to bulk up the final portions The meals are probably better for someone that doesn't really care about meat that much The recipes take longer than the cards say, which is usually min As someone who has cooked my entire life some of the directions didn't make since or seemed out of order, but that's just me But if you are desperate to not go grocery shopping and plan a meal then this works Two of the original meals we had tasted good, the beef burritos (which I had to supply my own meat for since the raw meat package was warm) severely lacked cheese and if I had used the original amount of meat supplied would have not even come close to filling the tortillas included I only filled tortillas And the amount of onion that was called for would have basically given you onion burritos with a bit of meat We ordered the family size boxes since there are three of us These in no way would have fed a family of four unless you REALLY like bulger wheat and onions There is lots of grain filler The pork dish fed the two of us with a few bites for my son and a very small container of leftovers The BBQ chicken was quite tasty but only enough for the three of us with an entire container of pasta left over (filler) And we ate quite a bit of it I sent a free box to my mom to try out She said it came packaged OK Then a week later she was charged for another box There they go again sneaking in the subscription she didn't order We had to go through the process, again, of getting a refund and cancelling the account I wouldn't say the experience was horrendous but it wasn't pleasant, either The program definitely is not worth it to me and I would definitely not recommend it to someone

Hi [redacted] ,I am sorry you are upsetThe first call in question is attached as well as the recipe for the original complaintYou stated in the call that the recipe did not instruct you to pre-bake the crust however, the 2nd instruction listed states as follows: Using your hands, stretch out the dough into a rough ¼-inch thickrectanglePlace onto a lightly oiled baking sheet and pk all over witha forkPlace in the oven to par-bake for about minutes, untilbeginning to brown on the edgesHINT: If you have a rolling pin or winebottle, you can use it to roll out the dough out on a lightly floured surfaceWe understand that the recipe did not come out as you would have liked and we apologize for thatHowever, we do not typically issue refunds because customers do not like the taste of a recipeWe issue a credit because the recipe will not be repeated for at least a year and can be opted out of if it ever comes back aroundOn the call, the rep clearly asks if you want the box on 6/ [redacted] and to cancel the two boxes after thisYou confirmed that you did want a box on 6/**I the confirmation email sent, ticket # [redacted] the rep also confirms a box was coming on 6/ [redacted] and that 6/ [redacted] and 7/ [redacted] were pausedBecause of your frustration you were issued you credit as a refund and your subscription was cancelledUnfortunately, this is all that we can do
