I just signed up today and we're not getting off to a good start. I tried to navigate the very confusing website and had to use the chat line to figure out how to navigate but apparently the gal on the chat line was either having lunch or she was the only one in the system so she was juggling calls which took forever to get any answers. I finally got to put in a request for online support and there's and option for "I want service now". They don't say hold on or we're working on it. NOTHING! I finally got the request in and that was about 2 hours ago. I'm still waiting for the service I want now. They did send me an e-mail saying they tried to call me but my phone never rang and I was sitting right here. I called my number from my cell phone to make sure the home phone was working and it was. Now I'm still waiting but now even if they do call me back it's too late for me to get anything done. I think I spent $180 on hot air.

Geekatoo is indeed a friendly and helpful service. I scheduled a TV wall mount service. Geeks showed up about an hour later than scheduled, but that was all right. Once they arrived, [redacted] and his colleague expediently mounted the TV above my fireplace, then cleaned the area of all debris. Job was completed in less than an hour.

[redacted] went out of his way to be accommodating. As a "geek", he was courteous and did not make a couple "geezers" feel inferior. He was prompt, personable, professional, and proficient. We appreciated the phone calls with time estimates and his willingness to just help us out. Geekatoo is our new go to place for computer problems. Highest recommendations.

Purchasing the Green plan with Geekatoo has been the best decision I have ever made regarding keeping my 3 computers in check. They are ALWAYS available and ALWAYS help me fix whatever is wrong with my system OR just helping me change something. I am very happy with them.

Do NOT use their new online booking service for nationwide coverage! After two no shows (not even a call or text to update) and two calls I had to initiate. Here's a list of the minimum service one would expect, which they did not provide:

1) The website should acknowledge that the appointment is tentative and depends on the availability of service providers in the area.

2) If an appointment is missed, there needs to be followup INITIATED by Hello Tech, preferably before the appointment is missed.

3) The email confirmation should have the scheduled service and appointment time. Customers expect and receive this in all other online transactions.

4) There should be a place to check my scheduled appointments on the Hello Tech website. Again, customers expect and receive this in all other online transactions.

The full story is below. Before that, let me acknowledge that HelloTech (as stated on their customer service line) recently merged with Ikatu. Some of these issues may be ironed out, and if so I will update this review.

On Sunday, I scheduled a visit to help my grandpa set up his tablet. Hello Tech's website gave me the option to schedule for the next day, so I asked for a 3PM appointment on Monday. I got a confirmation of my order by email, but it didn't confirm the time.

No one showed up on Monday. Although I had provided my number and selected the option to receive text updates, none came. That evening I called Hello Tech, and the person said that no one had been available to come that day, but offered to set up an appointment on Wednesday morning. Since he seemed to have visibility on availability, I trusted the next appointment on Wednesday would be met. He acknowledged that others were having similar issues, and that Hello Tech was working on a solution.

On Tuesday, I got an email asking me to confirm my order, and I took a screen shot of the transient webpage confirming that the appointment had been scheduled for Wednesday morning (since the website does not show what appointments you have made). Again, the email confirmation included only the amount I was charged, not the time or service that was scheduled.

Today (Wednesday) no one showed up. I called Hello Tech again, and was told that no one was available until Saturday. I was also told that all appointments made online were "tentative". When I asked whether this was stated anywhere on the website, the agent admitted it was not.

The lack of accountability and clarity of the service demonstrates a deep disregard for the customer. This is especially concerning because their online (non)service is benefiting from the positive reputation of their local branches.

I have had to call on Hello Tech alot for various reasons. They are very knowledgeable, great customer service, and very prompt. I bought a monthly package and I am very pleased with their service.

We have had three contacts and all very good results.

I was very pleased with the experience in fixing my computer. It is great that someone can go in remotely to take care of the problems. Both [redacted] & [redacted] were easy to work with and patient with the fact that I sometimes needed help in locating what they needed for me to do. Thank you.

[redacted] was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He arrived early and took all the time needed to resolve the problem. I could not be happier with the service received.

Scheduling was so easy, and fast. The tech, [redacted], was neat, timely, and professional and the work was done so fast. I purchased a TV mount through geekatoo and received a better price then I was finding on my own. I will definitely use them for other services in the future. We are extremely happy. (I had a 50 in TV mounted on a full movement mount)

Excellent service. Professional and patient with my computer issue. Ultimately they were able to fix the problem, but even if they hadn't, I would have given the same high-quality review.

Each contact we had with Geekatoo was productive and positive. There were several e-mail contacts describing the services we would receive and letting us know how to set up appointments. The scheduling phone call was helpful in that the geek let us know what to do prior to his visit and what would happen during the visit. Our geek, [redacted], arrived exactly on time and was helpful, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the installation procedures. He accomplished his tasks quickly and gave instructions about requesting additional assistance, if needed.

Yes he was friendly & knowledgeable. We did not tell him during data transfer to transfer the contacts in "Address Book" which we didn't realize until after he left. This would have made the process to send messages easier.

Absolutely wonderful.....so professional from start to finish.
