Hibu, Inc Reviews (691)

Review: A letter was sent to our company that appears to be a bill for advertising in the "Yellow Pages", however, in small print at the bottom it states that it is not a bill. The letter is misleading & deceiving and looks like it is a bill for previously agreed upon advertising. Our bookkeeper made a payment of $148.30 because it looked like a bill. I contacted the company today at [redacted] & spoke to [redacted]. She said that it could not be cancelled because it has already been published . I doubt that the book has been published as our check was cashed by their company on 10/1/13. I advised her that we would not be paying any more of the bill.Desired Settlement: Refund of money paid, $148.30 and cancelation of advertising.

Review: I signed a contract with hibu for a website development, with a 100% guarantee satisfaction or 100% money back. Not only they did not deliver the product as advertised and described by the sales person, but after speaking to the sales associate that I would like to cancel the contract due to the lack of commitment from the company and the poor website design, they are trying to deduct monies directly from my account. Never was I supplied with a copy of the contract, a local business number from the sales representative. After asking for the contract I was laugh at as if I was being taken advantage. I would like to see my full contract refund of $348.00 immediately as I have now spoken to 3 customer service representatives.Desired Settlement: Full refund of money down on contract $348.00 (check dated June 21, 2013 and cashed 6 days later), a copy of the contract and full cancelation of contract.

Dear [redacted]:

Review: I signed a contract with HIBU for an ad campaign to attract potential employees. I made it very clear to the sales person what I am looking for and where we are looking for them.

We provide services to help seniors stay in their homes as long as possible. We are looking for Caregivers.

I suspected over the first four months of the six month contract that we received no applications from the Ads that HIBU said they were running.

The cost to A Caring Choice is $500/month

I am using two other sources for potential employees. I developed unique web pages so that I could track the results (completed applications) from all three companies. The results follow:

Since October 17th I have gotten 17 completed applications from Career Builder.

Since October 27th I have gotten 8 completed applications from Indeed.

Since October 23rd I have gotten 0 applications from HIBU.Desired Settlement: HIBU misrepresented the results that they could provide concerning completed applications from potential employee. While they may be a good company for clients, they are obviously not suited to attract job applicants.

Review: It has been over 9 months that I have been waiting for my return from Hibu and all I have gotten is more invoices asking for more money along with late fees. I was sold on getting a top of the line Web site with all the bells and whistles. After 3 months of calling, emailing, and all around run around I fired Hibu and asked for my money back of $400.00 as they had not even got a complete draft of my website done. This was back in December of 2013 and as of today still no refund. I have called emailed with no answer or response. I have even offered to not have a check mailed to me but to credit my account as Hibu bought yellow pages and this account has my phone listing.

Account_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

At this point it would be great to get a refund and or credit but my hopes have been lost on that so my goal is to let everyone I can know that Hibu is a "dirty company" with no care about there customers only there pockets.

Dear [redacted]

Review: Hibu's representative [redacted] told me that my information would be displayed on [redacted] and other web searches on a map with a yellow banner during a visit to me. I specifically told him that another service had told me the same and that I did not want to befound through yellowbook.com. He assured me that is not what the service I signed up for would be through hibu. He had me sign a contract that had hibu's verbatim that the average person would not understand. So he told me not to worry and that he would not do that to me. I do not feel that I have not been given the service [redacted] has promised. Hibu calls me to collect payment. I have requested a call from [redacted] every time. He has responded once with an email.Desired Settlement: I would like the service [redacted] has promised.

Dear [redacted]:

Review: advertising my company in a way that is causing our online listings to be incorrect saying that we buy cars and sell autoparts Id hate to think that its intentional but I believe that it is we have been in buisness for over 30 years and they have been advertising us for that long as well they should know what we do by now this has been going on for 10 years now . Why would our listings be correct in the phone book and compleetly different online. We arent tying to get all the jobs judt some of them and I truly believe they dont want us to have any of them. this company took me to court and won a 20.000 settlement for a one year advertisment dispute and won becaus I was to iggnorent to get a lawyer becaus I did not know who to trust. and they are still missrepresenting me.Desired Settlement: would like to see them fix our web listings so that we can start getting jobs again

Review: **. [redacted] representive for [redacted] requested a Bold Faced Add for our company in the [redacted] Phone book. We reqested that the add be around $100.00. **. [redacted] arrogantly replied do you realize that will put you at the end of the listings. **. [redacted] replied yes. We can account for all of our advertising dollars last year and we only received a few calls from the large add, so we want to downsize. **. [redacted] put together the contract and stated the the contract would be recorded. He spoke so fast **. [redacted] could not understand him. At the end of the recording he asked if **. [redacted] agreed. **. [redacted]'s reply was well I guess I couldn't understand you. On Friday February 15th we received the confirmation email for contract [redacted]. We immediately called **. [redacted] as this is not what we agreed to. We left multiple voice mails and played phone tag for days. **. [redacted] left us a message stating he could not make any changes to the contract unless he spoke with us in person. Finally we got in touch with **. [redacted] person to person on the phone and he stated it was too late to change the contract the dead line was the day prior. We tried sending emails to contract-confirmation@yellowbook. com, but this was an automated system. We tried calling yellowbook customer service and they stated we had to deal with **. [redacted], despite his lack of answering the phone. In addition the add never appeared on our Yellowbook 360 account for us to approve the prove prior to it being printed. We didn't even receive a [redacted] phone book for Yellowbook. We have no idea what add we are even being billed for. Now they have sent us to collections while we are disputing this matter. A customer service representative listened to the recorded conversation and admitted he had to listen several times and slow the message down just to understand it, yet yellowbook has made no attempts to settle this dispute.Desired Settlement: We want a copy of the [redacted] Phone book, so we can see the add we are being charged for. We agreed to a bold faced add similar to the one in the [redacted], IL book we pay $118.00 per month for. We are willing to pay the price of a bold faced 2" box add we requested. I'm guessing the price would be ~ $1400. We are requesting a credit of ~$1500.

Attached is hibu's response to Complaint ID [redacted]

Review: Yellowbook produced a book that was almost 50% smaller than in the past. I believe they misrepresented their product by changing the size of the book this drastically. I would not have paid the amount I agreed to pay to advertise in a book that looked this unprofessional. After all the years I advertised in their books, I was very surprised at how small the book was this year.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome would be a credit off their final bill since I am unwilling to pay in full for services I was not satisfied with.

Dear [redacted]:

Review: We have the following complaints and dissatisfaction with Hibu's professionalism, quality of workmanship, and unethical business practices. We are filing an official complaint with the Revdex.com for several reasons.

1. The sales person "[redacted]" #[redacted] made a verbal contract with [redacted] in March of 2013, stating for $200, and $39/mo an advertising website would be up and running within 30 days, AFTER all photos, and [redacted] approval of said website. See Attached "SAMPLE" of proof presented to [redacted] with the following errors to correct (which has as of November 2013) NOT BEEN CORRECTED!

[redacted] business name IS NOT: [redacted] We are DBA: [redacted].

* The website domain used was: www.[redacted].com (also an incorrect spelling)

* The phone number of [redacted] is incorrect [redacted]4** (correct phone number is: [redacted]7**

2. On April 8th, 2013 [redacted] Check #[redacted] was cleared by our banking institution, as of said date, NO further contact was made for approvals or corrections from Hibu, Inc. until August 2013, when [redacted] requested a refund of the $200 and to cancel the contract. This conversation was between [redacted] (Office Manager of [redacted]), and 3 different levels of Hibu customer relations staff.

3. [redacted], Hibu's Customer Complaint Representative attempted to make contact with [redacted], who advised her to contact [redacted], as he did not understand the technical jargon and language, which caused confusion and anxiety on his behalf.

4. [redacted] contacted Hibu, by speaking with a representive of Hibu, who informed her that [redacted] website was indeed "live" and posted. [redacted] requested the "proof" or a dain name, and advised it was the following domain name: www.[redacted].com.

5. [redacted]'s, attempt to contact Hibu ([redacted]), however spoke with three (3) Hibu's customer service staff members to escalate this request to cancel agreement and refund the dollars. [redacted] was under the impression that she was speaking with an "alleged" senior manager of Hibu, (name was not recorded), that a refund would be issued, and the agreement was cancelled. (This was August time frame).

6. On November 18th, 2013 Hibu made it's first monthly recurring charge of $39.00 from our banking institution.

and again on December 16th, a second charge was deducted (after [redacted] advised that it would not be charged or renewed)

7. On December 6th,2013, [redacted] contacted [redacted] of Hibu, and wanted the charges reversed, for lack of accuracy, erroneous information. [redacted] forward a copy of "agreement" between [redacted] and Hibu for said website. [redacted] advised that the contract would not be renewed and no further charges would be made. [redacted] forward via email the written agreement.

8. After reviewing the Agreement/Contract (sent via email) it WAS NOT Signed by or Agreed to by [redacted] Vice President. This is the FIRST TIME WE SAW THIS DOCUMENT at [redacted] and it has a signature on it that IS NOT [redacted] J. [redacted]'s handwriting, and he DID NOT give approval to [redacted] to SIGN his name for him! This signature is forged. It is also evident by the printed name of the undersigned. (Why would we agree to allowing in accurate information to be posted?)

9. IF the said contract was dated March 12, 2013, HOW did the website name get changed from:

[redacted].com to www.[redacted]flooring.com???? THIS CONTRACT WAS NOT SIGNED nor Agreed to by [redacted] in March of 2013. It is evident it was done AFTER the request to cancel the contract.

10. USE THIS AS A FORMAL REQUEST TO REFUND THE MONEY $200 and two (2) $39 monthly ACH's, STOP ALL AUTOMATIC BILLING, and pull down the website.

WE REQUEST AND REVOKE FURTHER AUTOMATIC BILLING FROM HIBUDesired Settlement: USE THIS AS A FORMAL REQUEST TO REFUND THE MONEY $200 and two (2) $39 monthly ACH's, STOP ALL AUTOMATIC BILLING, and pull down the website.
