PNC Bank N.A., responded to [redacted] on June 25, and considers the matter addressed

February 23, [redacted] RE: Revdex.com of Western Pennsylvania - Case Number [redacted] Dear Ms [redacted] :This is in response to your complaint filed on January 6, 2018, with the Revdex.com of Western Pennsylvania regarding your PNC Bank, National Association (“PNC”) Performance Interest checking account ending |4| (the “Account”)I attempted to contact you on January 8, 2018, but was unsuccessful in reaching youI appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. In your complaint you stated that in December of 2017, $in Overdraft Item fees were assessed to your AccountYou advised that your mobile application showed a positive balance when you made the transactions causing the overdraft, which were held as "pending." You stated you have been unsuccessful in reaching PNC to obtain an explanation for the feesYou indicated that because these Overdraft Item fees caused additional overdrafts, you would like a refund in the amount of $for the fees assessed on December and 8, PNC denies that any wrongdoing occurred, but, as a courtesy, has decided to honor your request.Pursuant to PNC’s Account Agreement for Personal Checking, Savings, and Money Market Accounts (the “Account Agreement”), in determining whether you have sufficient funds in your account to pay checks and other withdrawal items, PNC’s general practice is to consider (1) the deposits and withdrawals posted to the account that day, and (2) all pending electronic transactions (including, but not limited to, point-of-sale transactions) for which PNC has received notice, even if those transactions have not yet posted to your accountPending transactions immediately impact the balance used to pay items presented for payment during nightly processing, and PNC’s general practice is to post items according to the date and time they were authorized or when PNC received notice of the transactionWe receive notice of transactions at various times throughout the day, and not necessarily in the order in which they occur. Finally, Overdraft Item Fees are only assessed on the posted items presented to your account against uncollected or non-sufficient funds.PNC researched your assertions regarding this matter and determined that Overdraft Item Fees were appropriately assessed on December 5, and 8, 2017, as disclosed in the notices sent to your address of recordAccording to our records, on December 4, 2017, your beginning balance in the Account was $There were six (6) transactions totaling $that remained pending and reduced your available balance to pay items to $There was a deposit in the amount of $that increased the available balance to pay items to $Subsequently, there were eight (8) transactions totaling $presented for payment which resulted in a negative balance of -$One (1) $Overdraft Item Fee was appropriately assessed on December 5, 2017.On December 5, 2017, your beginning balance in the Account was $There were three (3) transactions totaling $that remained pending and reduced your available balance to pay items to -$Subsequently, there were three (3) transactions totaling $and the $Overdraft Item fee presented for posting which resulted in a balance of -$Three (3) $Overdraft Item Fees were appropriately assessed on December 6, 2017.On December 7, 2017, your beginning balance in the Account was -$There was one (1) credit transaction in the amount of $that remained pending and increased your available balance to pay items to negative -$Subsequently, four (4) transactions totaling $presented for posting which resulted in a balance of -$Four (4) $Overdraft Item Fees were appropriately assessed on December 8, 2017.It is PNC’s practice to refund any fee assessed as the result of a bank error, which did not occur in these instancesHowever, PNC is sympathetic to your concernsOn February 22, 2018, seven (7) $Overdraft Item fees totaling $and one (1) $Calculated Service Charge were refunded as a courtesyThese refunds are viewable through your online statements at www.pnc.comFuture refunds may not be granted unless the fees are the result of a bank error.PNC provides multiple methods to confirm the available balance at a given timeOne method available to you is mobile bankingPlease note that when signing into mobile banking, two balances are provided; a “Ledger Balance” and an “Available Balance.” Please refer to the “Available Balance” when initiating transactions for paymentAvailable balance is the balance that is available for immediate withdrawal from your AccountAvailable balance does not take into account deposits not yet available or items PNC has not received notification of, such as checks or check card purchases that settle for amounts different than the pending amount.Options such as Overdraft Protection and PNC Alerts, which in addition to keeping your account register up to date, recording purchases as they are made, and maintaining a positive account balance, may help to effectively manage the account and avoid the assessment of fees.Enclosed for your records are copies of the following:• Overdraft Notices dated December 5, 6, and 8, 2017• Checking Account Statement dated December 12, 2017Thank you for allowing me to clarify PNC’s position in this matterIf you have any further questions regarding this issue, please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] I am available Monday through Friday from 8:am to 4:pm, Eastern Time.Sincerely,Executive Client Relations Enclosures

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintPNC's claim that they have addressed this matter with me is absurdA member of their executive client relations team was assigned to help me and even after having that done they failed to overnight my replacement card to meThis required my mother to go out of her way to have to ship it to me - a matter that could have been avoided all together f one of their original customer service representatives hadn't mistakenly changed my billing addressThen PNC proceeded to send serval more cards to my mother's address - as if they wanted to further inconvenience her and increase the likelihood that my information could once again be stolenTheir "addressing" the matter with me required almost daily phone calls to the assigned member of the executive client relations team and yet it was still handled poorlyAnd PNC has yet to give me an update on my disputeThey haven't addressed a single thing Regards, [redacted]
