This, again, is a complete misrepresentation of facts [redacted] is misquoting both the contract and what she was told by the representativeShe has also not been waiting for anyone to contact her, a representative has been working with her most of the day, going through different departments and trying to get different options approvedBut no matter of what the representative has done and offered, it was never enough and this complaint seems to be a medium for trying to get more while making up numbers and informationThere is no letter being sent to [redacted] as she refused itThere are also no longer any other offers on the table that are outside the contractHSC will be strictly following the contract and the repairs have been approvedIf [redacted] wishes to proceed with the claim and the repairs, please let us know and we will gladly set it upA representative will contact [redacted] again today, Friday August ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Here’s my reply to HSC: HSC statement: [redacted] My statement: The AC unit was working well when the hot weather hit Of course no one uses AC during winter time, it was May [redacted] when I first requested the service for the AC which was the same day the AC wasn’t blowing cool air The hot weather started way earlier than that time and have any issue with the AC before that As for the company with a good track record for many years, here are reviews from [redacted] about the company performance: Reviews from [redacted] · [redacted] Worst company in the worldI used my home warranty company and they denied me for both the dishwasher and stoveThey delay and denyUseless company· [redacted] Hire them if you want indefinite delays and a shoddy job doneGot referred to these guys through our home warranty service and they are completely unprofessional, unresponsive, and don't know what they are doing [redacted] Dishonest, shoddy serviceIf I could rate zero stars I wouldWe had a problem with our fridge and our home warranty sent out All Home AppliancesWe had to jump through hoops for a few days just to set up an appointment, with them continually saying they'll call us back but never didFinally a technician came out, said that we needed a new control board and the coils needed cleaningThe control board is covered by the warranty's deductible, but the cleaning will be another $Sure, sounds fineSo for $the technician runs a toothbrush over the coils for minutes and uses my own vacuum to suck up the dustHe then disconnects the control board, puts a new one on (or so I think) and leavesNow several hours later and the fridge is even warmer than before he cameWe call the company back and they say it must have been the wrong part, they'll get a new one and be back out tomorrowThe next day comes and we hear nothingWe finally call them, we're told someone will call usAgain, nothingI had to go to work so my wife finally got them on the phone simply asking what the deal was and when we could expect someoneThe person on the phone was exceptionally rude to her basically saying that since it was Friday afternoon the part shops were all closed now and there's nothing they can doMind you, we called them back Thursday night to tell them the repair not only didn't work but made things worseSo at this point we decided we didn't want to deal with this stupid runaround and awful customer service so we contacted our home warranty people and they sent out a new company ( [redacted] ***)The technician from [redacted] came to the conclusion rather quickly that the control board in the fridge was the original one and had never been replacedHe pointed out to me the part that had failed and how he could tellHe said the guy from All Home Appliance probably assumed it only needed to be cleaned (which [redacted] does for free, by the way), but if he just charged us the $to clean it he wouldn't have also gotten our $home warranty deductibleSo he faked changing the control board and charged us doubleHis reasoning was that 1) Our control board was a very rare part and there's no way they would have had it readily available on the truck, 2) If he had changed it, there's no way it would have gone bad again so quickly, 3) The All Home Appliance technician wrote down no part numbers on the work order and didn't leave behind the old control board4) The fridge was still as warm if not warmer than before All Home Appliance serviced itThe [redacted] technician said he could get the part in a day or two but would have to report his findings to our home warranty as he'd be billing them for the same part twiceI called our home warranty as well to report the attempted scam from All Home Appliance and to tell them to please never use them again in this areaI'll also be following up with the Revdex.comEDIT: In response to your reply - I don't take issue with your charging to clean the unitI understand that service is not covered by our home warrantyYou are well within your right as a business to charge whatever you want, I'm simply alerting people that what you charge $for, others like [redacted] do for free Secondly, if the part was replaced then why did the problem persist? Statement: [redacted] My statement: This is not true, no leak was found in the system After HSC neglected the repair I requested, transferred my file to the fraud prevention department and blocked my access to any information that would tell me if the repair is going to happen or not, I had to look for someone else to repair the AC, to bring my older mother back home and be able to live life I looked in craigslist and after several phone calls to different contractors, I found a company called [redacted] , Mechanical services, LCC, phone number ###-###-#### that has a technician available the same day I told the technician from [redacted] Company what HSC contractor told me which is leaking due to coil damage, he did thorough leak testing, but he didn’t find any leak I am attaching copy of the payment receipt which also provides details about the diagnoses, the findings and the repair that was done If the copy of the document is not clear, I can mail clear copy of the document Bottom line, no leak was found The contractor HSC assigned told me that the coil was old and leaking, he offered to replace it on the spot with out of pocket money which I refused knowing that this same contractor offered me his services out of the warranty before Also the coil itself was replaced on June by [redacted] ***, phone number ###-###-####, an air-conditioning company assigned by [redacted] , the home warranty company I had contract with before HSCHSC says they have records of voice messages of me being happy with the service, I demand HSC to provide records of those voice messages I have never left any voice messages to this contractor, I only sent him text message thanking him for the same day repair he did on May *** HSC Statement: [redacted] My statement: This is definitely statement from HSC I never threatened or asked to replace the AC unit, I did say though that I will continue posting honest reviews which is my right as consumer I refuse HSC accusation of professional technician with a proven record diagnosed and does not make sense for the price she claims in this complaint she paid for itThe price is, however, fully in line with the cost of the Leaving a review after follow up from my rep who did a great job making sure my garage door was closing and opening as it shouldHad to call on a Saturday because it was just stuck and would not go up or downAfter some playing with it I was abnle to open it but when closing back down again it would get stuck and not close all the wayThey got a tech to come out on Monday morning and after watching him I realized that it was not anything I was going to fix myselfAfter a fix that worked for a fwe hours the door started doing the same thing again just closing a little lower than beforeI called them back and the same tech came later on Monday evening and this time with a new motor assembly and just replaced the whole damn thingValiant effort and a timely follow up

Customer has a system that is not subject to coverage with ourplan and it is clearly stated on the contract and in numerous places.Customer's opinion is, unfortunately, not relevant and does not change thecoverage and the contract as it was designedDespite the facts, HSC went aheadand covered the repair just weeks into the customer's annual contract and gotit up and running as a courtesy and in return received this complaint.Please remove this from our records as it is completely falseHSC is, in fact,covering what we say we do and in this case even covered above and beyond [redacted] was never told his that mis-matched system will be covered and he neverrepresented his system as being mis-matched which is grounds for cancellationwhereas, again, HSC went above and beyond

We apologize for any inconvenience [redacted] may have encounteredHere is a list of issues that were resolved: the check for the microwave is mailing out this week on schedule, it is not late and on timeWe will expedite it to go out today or tomorrow the faucet was repaired the toilet was repaired initially by [redacted] , HSC paid for the repair and [redacted] paid his deductibleThen they went out again for what they claimed was a new issueAnd collected $from [redacted] as it was within his deductibleThen they went out for what was a call back for the same issue as before, and this time said they were unable to fix itAfter having paid a lot of money for the repair, we sent out another plumber to look at itCounty [redacted] went out and repaired the issueWe have spoken to [redacted] from country [redacted] today and have confirmed that the issue is in fact fixed and we have paid him his entire bill of another $on top of what HSC has already spent repairing the same toilet [redacted] does not need to pay anything to county [redacted] In summary, all claims are repaired/resolved [redacted] paid what he was supposed toThe only extra was the second trip from [redacted] which they insist was a separate issueAgain, [redacted] does not have to pay anything to county plumber for the last visit, they have been paid in full by HSCThank you

Of course my A/C stopped working on the hottest day of the yearI quickly called Laurie who has been my go to gal for the last yearsShe told me they were getting hit really hard with A/C problems in my area and she would do her best to get someone right awayIt hadn't even been an hour when I received a call from a HVAC technician who said he could come out the next dayHe was very professional and didn't leave a mess like other technicians I have encounteredHe fixed the problem with some motors and caps within a few hoursI am definitely sending something to Laurie for Christmas this year shes the best

This customer and her account have already been sent for reviewand deemed as fraudShe knowingly and intentionally signed up with a badsystem to get it repaired/replacedShe filed a claim on day one of contract,cancelled it when informed that anything deemed as pre-existing is not covered,waited days and re-filed the same claimA top rated, and one of our bestnationwide contractors, was assigned and went to her homeThe issue is amillion percent pre-existing among other thingsThe service ticket she isreferring to has nothing to do with our report and statement from the techHecannot possibly write pre-existing on it as at that time he is not eveninformed when the customer signed upThe customers disconnect was off, as inanother tech was already out there, tampered with the unit and left it withoutputting it back to how it was (customer clearly knew the unit was bad), and thesystem is missing most of its freon which also takes much more than days,and certainly much, much more than a day to leak outTags were all eitherfaded or missingThis is blatant and intentional fraudPer the contract thisis not only not covered but simply not a service we provideWe have thetechnician's statement and that of our trained employees that this is clearlyan issue existing prior to the start of the contract and not to mention thecustomer is on record filing claims for it and requesting service and askingabout it on day one of contractShe was explained and advised of all this manytimes and this is NOT a misunderstanding of coverage or a mistakeThis hasalready been deemed as intentional fraud and pending review it may be reportedaccordingly and handled by our legal departmentThis complaint is nothing butslander and defamation and will be handled accordinglyThere is nothingentitled to the customer on this claim and should the account be cancelled dueto fraud she will have outstanding balances for everything that was paid outfor fraudulent claimsOther warranty and insurance companiesshould be notified as well

Unfortunately the information provided by this customer is missing key factors and this case is already being reviewed for fraudCustomer tried to bully us into covering and remodeling his home and now also has an outstanding balance on his accountHe also had more than one account and he attemped the same thing on bothHe had his furnace replaced before he ever signed up with us and filed a claim once he signed upThe technician we sent out found that his furnace was repalced but the ductwork for it was never done and was just disconnected and new ductwork would have to be built to complete the installation and for the furnace to be connected properly to the vents (as old funaces are of different size and vents than the new replacement ones)This has nothing to do with HSC or the service we provideWe are strictly a home warranty company and do not provide home improvement or remodeling services not cover pre-existing and improper installationsCustomer has attempted the same thing numerously and continually threatens our company with complaints and fabricated informationCustomer has requested to cancel before the expiration of the contrat but has outstanding balances past due on the accountIf he wishes to cancel he can cancel in accordance to the cancellation policyIf he wishes to take our courtesy offer to waive the cancellation fee as well as what we have paid out on his contract, he can contact the agent that was working on his account (at ext***) and he will need to sign a cancellation agreement in writing to prevent any further attempts at blackmail or misinformation

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Home Service Club Warranty Corp regarding complaint ID [redacted] , however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: SO HERE IS THE UPDATE from the last few weeksI spoke with a HomeService Club rep more than three weeks ago after posting our experienceon Revdex.com and after we requested a cancelation and refund of our contractI wastold that because we went to the Revdex.com for help that our account was flagged asfraudulent by another department and that the refund would not be issuedI could go further into the details of the call that dealtwith the scope of their contract, which was never sent to us at time ofpurchase, versus what I understood from the details of their website, and whythey do not cover drain clogs as part of standard service versus why I had areasonable expectation that they would cover in a standard service but I ammore interested in resolving this matter.The end result was this: They would not fix the clogIasked if we could upgrade to a plan that would include drainsNo, we could not– we eventually spent $to get a clog and faucet leak fixedI asked tospeak with a supervisorI was told that I already was speaking to one andthere was nothing more she would do but her team would be investigating usIoffered to take down my complaint, I was told that to get a refund I would haveto take down this complaint AND then sign a contract stating we would never sayanything about Home Service Club againI asked her what specifically thiscontract said, she said, she did not know but she assured me it was standardFYI, I havemanaged apartment buildings for thirty years and have never been required acontract to cancel a service.Two days ago, after lots of phone tag, I was told that we wouldbe sent their cancelation contract that day for a full refundHowever, she told methat she could only send out the cancelation if I agreed to signing it withoutseeing it first, which I told her the request wasunreasonable but I would be glad to take a lookShe sent it anywayThe full refund became a “prorated” rate anda possible $fee if we did not act in hoursFor the record, her use ofthe phrase “full refund” may have alluded to a full pro-rated refund, but thatwas not how I took it.Here is what their cancelation policy states, “I agree and promise to not write electronically orotherwise or post or spread or contribute anything negative or verbally expressanything negative about The Home Service Club (and remove any alreadysubmitted) and to keep any and all dealings with The Home Service Club strictlyconfidential.” I found this stipulation unreasonable, unconstitutional and perhaps illegal.Requiring a contract to end a contract seems wrong onnumerous levels and has prevented resolutionEither way, Home Service Clubshould have just sent out a full refund and called it a dayThis matter couldhave been resolved almost a month agoIt’s not.To be clear, we have NEVER received any warranty service ofany kind from Home Service ClubWe are just looking to get a full refund, callthe time and expense a wash on our part and move on enjoying our new home In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Garbage disposal is very important hsc made it important to them to service it the same week I called it in

I have been a customer of this company for over years now and over the years every service call I have made has gone wellI would like to recognize Lauren in the customer service deptfor outstanding help with my last service call which was for my AC unitShe went above and beyond and honestly I was not in the best of moods my AC was not working and it was really hotShe had a repairman over to my house the same day and he was able to get the AC working againShe listened to my concerns and said she would keep reaching out to find the repair company who will have the earliest availability and when she called me back and said she found a repair company who would be able to come out at PM I instantly said yesThat was last night I truly feel this company and the people who work here care about their customers and its worth recognizing the people who make things happen Thank You Lauren

I purchased a home warranty in June of 2016, the effective date is 7/*/ I had been thinking about it for a while, and finally got around to actually doing it Because I have a water well I purchased an adder to the policy I asked for and received a copy of the contract and read through it The contract covers essentially only the down hole pump including "wear and tear" from being used as a source of water for an entire home Around the start of September we contacted HSC because we thought the pressure had dropped some They set up a 9/ [redacted] appointment with a contractor and let me know they would call That contractor never called despite multiple conversations with HSC and blew off the 9/ [redacted] appointment Another contractor was ordered and came out and ran a diagnostic on the pump towards the end of September ( [redacted] I believe) The pump has a reduced flow rate, but still builds psi I spoke with a rep on 9/ [redacted] and was informed that the condition had been deemed pre-existing and would not be covered She said that the pump was operating outside the manufacturer's specifications I asked her what those specifications were and she had no idea, I mentioned to her that the pump built pressure and moves water and again no reasonable answer as to if that was within spec Which makes sense as she also had no idea who manufactured the pump and therefore could not know the specifications We got past this and she told me that the pump had a pre-existing condition (as very loosely defined by the contract) and that the issue had been going on for a month or two I let her know that was within the contract and she immediately tried to lengthen the time period (also within the contract) At this point she gave up as she had obviously proven that according to the data HSC had the pump had failed within the contract (failure here being reduced flow rate) I was told a supervisor would call me And one did, the next day She left a voicemail I have been calling her back for the last week or so leaving multiple voicemails and have not heard anything I then spoke with the guy that HSC hired to do the diagnostic work I checked them out, they are a reputable company here I asked him if they had even discussed the pump having a "pre-existing" condition He said it had not even been discussed I asked the tech how long he thought the pump had had the issue and he said there really isn't a way to tell and it was certainly possible that the issue had developed within the contract He left me with the impression that dealing with home warranty companies is difficult to say the least So here is what I believe HSC has tried to be so broad in their language with their contracts as to call everything a "pre-existing condition" In this case, they decided unilaterally that my pump had a pre-existing condition, even though the expert they recommended who actually did the diagnostic did not feel that could be confirmed They attempted to give me the impression that the tech who did the field service had told them that there was an issue prior to the contract In this case I feel they were misleading The HSC "expert" (person who never came out to the house but must work at HSC as experts have been mentioned in other posts) figured the pump had been going down for a couple of months, probably just a guess, but which again is within the contract period That person told the service rep that the condition was pre-existing When the service rep realized that the time frame provided was within the contract time, the service rep tried to change the time period to move the pump issue outside the contract I work as an engineer in oil and gas I have experience with electric downhole pumps As stated by the policy, there have been no issues with the well that would have damaged the pump Further, it is not uncommon for pumps to be fine (within spec) for years and to fail abruptly You will literally produce 42,gallons of fluid one day, and nothing the next in the oil field There is no evidence, based on what the HSC service tech has told me that this problem can be determined to have been pre-existing In this case I simply believe they don't want to pay their portion of the repair
