Home Service Club Warranty Corp Reviews (624)

Couldnt ask for moreTook a couple of days longer than anticipated but not sir to anyone's faultEverything was done to accommodate me as much as possible and very reasonable service and companyRecommended

Home Service Club gave me very good service and I am happy that I decided to get a warranty with themFirstly, the customer service people are the bestFriednly and nice and helpfulSecondly, the actual repairs (done so far) wer done by real experienced professionals, who did not waste time trying to figure out the problem or make a messThird, I saved lots of money

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [This person is responding to my very first complaint regarding the lack of same day serviceMy biggest complaint and the actual complaint filed with the Revdex.com was regarding your so called " SrSupervisor, Stacy C***I stated in my Revdex.com complaint how rude and outrageous her behavior was, but I can tell by the slow response to this complaint that excellent or even adequate customer service is of very little importance to this companyAs far as I'm concerned this complaint has not been resolved because it hasn't even been accurately addressed.] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Unfortunately this account is fraud and will be submitted toproper channels accordinglyEverything stated in [redacted] 's complaint is blatantly falseThe contract she purchasedis identical to the sample contract she viewed before she signed up (withoutthe word "sample" watermarked in the background) and clearly statesthat issues existing prior to the start date of the contract are not covered.Along with all other terms of coverageWe are strictly a home warranty companyand do not provide home improvement or remodeling servicesNot only was [redacted] "not a month" into the contract when shefiled "a" claim, but she was only days into the contract when shefiled many claimsShe asked o a representative names [redacted] howmany service requests can she file at once, and proceeded to file themTherepresentative was extremely nice to [redacted] and simply advised her of what is and what is not coveredIn this particularcase the ice maker in the refrigerator was not covered as per [redacted] 's contractWhen days into the contract of anewly purchased home a customer has many separate, unrelated, issues, theaccount does get reviewed as it is very common that those issues existed priorto the start date of the contract and before the customer even moved inHSCdoes require that all covered systems and appliances are fully operational tothe manufacturer's originally intended design and specifications at the startof the contractThis is why the representative requested the home inspectionreport so that it would assist in the review so that we can help [redacted] Once she heard that, she stopped filing claims [redacted] then proceeded to call back in on different linesand extremely rudely harassing other representatives and making threatsAllfacts and actions on this fit many common patters of fraudThere is nothingfor HSC to do here, [redacted] does nothave a valid contract and requested to cancel it anyway

This is completely and appears to be intentionallymisinterpreted by [redacted] himselfHe had prior claims both of which werecoveredHe then filed a claim for his pool and HSC has dispatched aprofessional technicianHe determined that [redacted] needs of his gridsreplaced Please note that our contract is extremely clear with no contradictions, and any professional will tell you thatThe contract clearly states (under NOTcovered): "filter elements or media (e.g., cartridges, gridsand sand)", not to be confused with actual filters and timers [redacted] ***is well aware of this and was explained it in detail as well, all while beingextremely rude, threatening, and vulgar to numerous representatives he spoketoThis is an invalid complaint [redacted] is welcome to proceed with the workusing our assigned technician and with our costs, however it would be at hisown expense as the maintenance and the grids are not subject to coverage underhis warranty plan

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I would like to bring these four points to the Revdex.com's attention: HSC yet did not respond to the main complaint, i.e., quoting $for the AC replacement, which costs about $3500, as per multiple quotes received and submitted to Revdex.com, and not agreeing to charge a fair market price, i.e., about $ HSC does not have any new information after May **, Based on the information until May **, 2014, they were willing to cover $for the AC replacementTheir assessment changed, once I asked for a fair market price for the AC replacement or pay me the covered amount, i.e., $so that I could avail a fair market price Multiple AC technicians looked at my AC and their assessments including the one, who replaced the AC unit, are very different than the one from the HSC technicianOne such report is attached, and another one from a Revdex.com Accredited Business and [redacted] Super Service Award winner is quoted below: "There is no way of knowing how old a leak is unless you have repeated history of adding freonWe don't deal with home warranty companies because of diagnosis like thatIf you have a home warranty they should cover itA leak is a leak and it sounds like they don't want to cover it." A very recent (6/*/2014) complaint against HSC at Revdex.com, they called that customer fraud along with multiple others at Revdex.com Please let me know if Revdex.com needs additional info In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved Sincerely, [redacted]

Unfortunately everything stated in this complaint is both falseinformation, misrepresentation of facts, as well as an attempt to defraud andbully our company into paying money that the complainant is not entitled to.This case has been marked fraud and cancelled by our legal department *** [redacted] signed up with us on with an already badsystemThe immediate claim was processed nonetheless and a professional technicianwas sent out to *** [redacted] 's house to diagnose the issueThetechnician stated that there were numerous issues and have been there for awhileHe even said the customer herself had mentioned that the valve was problematicbefore she signed up with us and the tech stated it was never replaced and wasold and badHe also said another company was out there before us and said theunit was badA total of major parts were bad and the entire unit needsreplacementLiterally everything stated by the customer is incorrect and falseinformationThe customer has yelled at and was very rude to ourrepresentativesThe professional technician, who looked at the unit and spoke tothe customer, laughed when he learned when the customer signed up with us andstated that it is a clear attempt to scam our companyThis is not a servicethat HSC provides, we are not a home improvement company and are strictly awarranty company*** [redacted] isfully aware of this and this intentional attempt at making our company look badis being dealt with by our legal department

Make sure you read the contract to the fullestThis company seems to cap everything they pay out at $500, less the service call fee which makes no sense My water heater was broken and their service person came in and said it needs to be replaced due to age and the quote was $1900+The unit itself for a direct vent water heater is $900, installation labor separatePaying only $comes no where close to covering the cost - what is the point of having this warranty then Also, paying $contract limit less the service call fee makes no sense since they make you pay the service call fee directly to the vendor, then why deduct it from the cap amount as well? I am cancelling my service, lets see how long they take to give me my money backPiece of advice, never pay the amount in full, use monthly payments so you can stop the payments when they don't honor their word

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I cancelled service with them because they were invalidating my contract based on things in the inspection report which we had addressed prior to closingThe issues requiring service were clearly covered under the contract terms and there was never any indication that I had an invalid contractThey accepted full payment only to wait until I requested service on a ceiling fan and ovens (neither of which were called out as having issues in the inspection report) and could not verify that they were in fact looking at my file when I spoke to the supervisorI have attached copies of the home inspection report as well as the warranty contract and the requested services under the contractWe are fully aware that if the item is called out in the inspection report it is ineligible for coverageAs new owners of the home there is no way for us to know what is pre-existing or notWe did not close on the home until March **Warranty coverage started on March **, and it has only recently been warm enough in the Seattle area to consider using the ceiling fansIf there really never was a valid contract, they should have never taken our money - interest free - for the last weeksThis is unacceptable as a business practice In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

This is NOT our customerThis account has been cancelled due to fraud [redacted] signed up with our company to renovate his homeWe are NOT A HOME IMPROVEMENT COMPANY NOR A REMODELING COMPANYIt is NOT what we do and we are strictly a home warranty companyRight after he signed up he filed claims for his HVAC and his plumbingFirst professional technician that came out and diagnosed his AC unit stated, in writing, that the unit had numerous leaks in his coils, including a massive one in his outside condensing coil which was completely corroded and rusted through to the point that it was completely empty of refrigerant (that otherwise takes a long time to leak out)His professional opinion is that it takes a very long time for so many leaks to develop and for such rust and corrosion to have happened, causing the leaks, and certainly more than the few days that the customer was with us for [redacted] proceeded to harass our company with phone calls and threats of defamation if we do not cover his issuesThe second repair man (plumber) that came out, diagnosed again numerous issues with the plumbing in the home including a bad toilet, bad faucet, and numerous bad hose bibs all throughout the houseAgain all issues existing for a long time [redacted] then stated that he will remove his AC claim and will remove any defamation against our company if we cover some of his plumbing claims and that he understands that the AC claim is not our responsibilityHe refused to pay his service call fee to the plumbing company which we then had to payHe then filed yet another AC claim for his second systemWe sent out a technician again to look at the second system and the findings were outrageousHome warranty covers electrical or mechanical failures due to ware and tear that arise during the warranty periodThis is what a warranty is by definition and we operate according to our contract that outlines our and our customer's obligations to each otherThe second diagnostic report states that this unit never worked during our contract period, it was disconnected, all the wires in the outside unit were physically pulled out, the condensing fan motor has been disconnected by someone, and strangest of all - the service valve inside the unit was closed by someone as if they wanted the unit to fail, as that will damage the compressorOur technician opened the valve, preventing further damage to the unit, re-connected the condensing fan motor, re-wired the entire unit, and got it up and runningAlso did an full inspection of both the inside and the outside unitsDespite doing all that work that would normally cost at the minimum a couple of hundred dollars, if not more, he only charged [redacted] his $deductible and not for any more of the work despite it not being covered by the home warranty [redacted] yet again refused to pay the technician what he is responsible for and we paid for itNow he continues to harass our company with threats of defamation if we do not cover his bills for repairs, his renovations on plumbing, as well as cancelling his contract and refunding him his payment on top of all! - complete fraud, on top of fraud, on top of fraudThis account was cancelled due to fraudThere is a $outstanding balance on this account owed to us by [redacted] ***, and this is now being handled by our Fraud Prevention Department together with our Legal Department regarding legal actions against [redacted] for defamation and fraudPlease remove this complaint from our account and feel free to contact us for any information on this case

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here]1.I didn't yell at the representative, I just felt upset from what the home service club did to meI have been waiting for hrs after the technician checked the ACand told me they won't repair the AC at the last minute when the office closeI have to call back the following day to check the reasonWhat the representative told us was totally different from what the technician told usJust think about it, if the technician think they will not repair the AC, why he took apart the AC unit and took away the motor? The AC was still working when we bought the house, I don't know how they thought the AC was already bad even before I bought the houseThis is Arizona, if the AC is bad, the house will be very hot and nobody can stay in itWhen sign the home warranty contract, the representative who sold us the service told us as long as the new bought house, everything will be covered, they don't need to do the inspection, now the company asked for the inspection report from us to prove everything is good when the contract signedHow can we have such a inspection report if they don't do the inspection The technician who diagnose the AC unit did not show us the diagnose report and asked us to sign the reporthe just took out the AC motor and said only motor was bad and everything else was fine, it's very easy to replace and he will come back to do it the following dayIf the AC was totally rusty and erosion and clogged as the reply mail saidWhy did the technician still open the unit and took out the motor and didn't even think about ask us to sign any diagnose report? I think home service clubs don't want to repair the AC because they couldn't want spend extra money, I called the technican the following day, he told us he couldn't find the model on the market, so he recommend the whole unit replaced, and the home warranty company was evaluating and asked me to wait 5.When I called back and talked with the representavies, they don't want to talk about the repair, they almost immediately suggest refund and refused to transfer me to their [redacted] Even they cancelled my contract, how about the part they took away from my unit, how do I know that they will be put back properly and not damage other thing in the unit? ? In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

This claim is being worked on and the allegations in this complaintare not trueCoverage of the issues has not yet been determinedNorepresentative ever hung up on the customerAnd HSC makes no authorizationsfor third party contractors to charge the customer's credit cardHSC paid forthe first service call and has advised the customer that a second opinioncompany will be going out at no expense to himA second opinion company has,in fact, been set up and the customer was informedWe understand that thecustomer, especially with what is likely a pre-existing issue, wants everythingdone as fast as possible, and HSC does try to get everything done that way -there are still procedures and a process that must be followedThe technicianis available and should be scheduling with the customer per their earliestconvenienceOnce all information is received, coverage will be determined andthe customer will be advised

This is a misrepresentation of factsThe technician who was assigned to diagnose *** [redacted] 's system is a professional for many years and has done a lot of diagnostics, repairs, and replacements and is extremely knowledgeableAnd as you can see from *** [redacted] s own text, everything our technician said was, in fact, correctOnce the bad compressor is diagnosed, it means the unit simply does not turn on and no further diagnosis can be made until the compressor is replacedIf the unit was installed in with no transferrable warranties, as *** [redacted] himself wrote, then the compressor would not be under the manufacturer's warranty - which *** [redacted] himself wrote that it wasThis is completely contradicting informationHSC denied the repair and approved for a replacement as this is the correct and recommended way to proceedAny reputable technician will confirm that compressors for units of such age and condition that still use *** should not be replaced for numerous reasonsFirst, you do not know what caused it to malfunction and it may cause the new compressor to fail as wellSecond there may be other major issues with the unit which you would not know about until the expensive compressor is replacedAnd generally it is not a correct way to go around it and shortens the life of the new compressor being put in*** [redacted] was offered our services and an approval for a replacement which he deniedHe wanted to proceed with the repair because it was cheaper out of pocketHe states he obtained the compressor under warranty for free and then paid $ for labor, materials, and refrigerantOur technician quoted $for the same work providing the part was covered by the manufacturerHSC has also offered the customer $as a courtesy toward the repair, which would have made the total out of pocket expense only $for something that was not approved/coveredYet *** [redacted] decided not to go through us and claims he went ahead and paid $for it*** [redacted] has requested to cancel his warranty contract with us and as per his request, his contract was cancelled and no cancellation fees were appliedThis contract is now cancelled per request of *** [redacted] and he is no longer our customerThis complaint is completely misleading and incorrectThere is nothing further to be done on this, please close this case

We have shown that this is completely not truePlease see our previous responsesNo new info was presented and nothing to do on hereHSC has done and offered much more than supposed to and this case is considered closed

Revdex.com: On July [redacted] I called The Home Warranty Club to leave a message and to my amazement the phone was answered by a [redacted] who informed me of his position within the companyAfter speaking with him he agreed that these issues should of been resolved when first contacting his company and was very apologeticAfter a quick explanation of my issues he reviewed all of the details and he quickly resolved any and all issues that I had with his companyHe showed me professionalism at it's best along with giving me the common courtesy of listening and understanding to all of my issuesI am now compelled to endorse this company for their finale resolution with my issuesEven though it took a while to resolve them I feel that [redacted] did what was right and I would gladly do business with this company againI personally feel that I have made a friend in [redacted] and The Home Service ClubAs of this [redacted] day of July I have been totally satisfied with the end results in my dealings with The Home Service Club and would recommend them in the future I have resolved my issues per my conversations with the Home Warrany Club in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that our resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved Sincerely, [redacted] ***

We regret to see such and absurd accusations and statementscompletely inconsistent with the factsA reputable and trusted service companywith great feedback was assigned to diagnose [redacted] system upon receipt oftheir claimThe issues were in fact deemed as non-covered under their homewarranty terms and conditions for numerous major reasonsRegardless of thefact, courtesy help was offeredThere was and is no such thing as"selling new units", or "high pressure tactics" and suchallegations are unreasonable and simple untrue [redacted] and [redacted] were explainedwhat the condition of their unit was, what was recommended for the unit tocontinue working, and what issues it will continue to have (as there werenumerous)They were explained what is and what is not recommended and why. They were also offered help on different optionsThey were, however, awarethat it is completely up to them and they could chose any option, or non atall, and that HSC will stand behind them [redacted] argued that "HSC shouldpay more because he cannot afford so much money at the moment"While wecompletely understand the hardships and frustration of new home owners, it isnot the responsibility of HSC to do what we are not contractually obligated todo and to offer services we do not provideAlthough HSC did go above andbeyond to offer help, especially on the best, most recommended (professionally)optionAfter a review of the e-mail correspondences between [redacted] and ***Baker, it is clear that the claims representative did not insult or belittleanyoneHe was very professional and very helpful, as he has been for manyyears with our companyHe expressed concerns about what the third party techdid for [redacted] and that he fears the unit will continue to have issues, andyet approved the requests [redacted] made in her e-mail, above and beyond whatwas per the contractThe accusations made in this complaint are beyondany reason, completely and blatantly untrue, and appear to be an attempt to getmore than entitled out of HSCAny approvals made by [redacted] are currentlyvoid and this account will be reviewed by a supervisor before any furtheraction can be takenA supervisor will contact [redacted] upon review of theaccount

Please see previous repliesThis is a case of fraud and there is an outstanding balance on this account and no refunds are dueIf [redacted] wishes us to waive the outstanding balance on this contract and even obtain a refund which is not due, she would need to formally request it and agree to it in writing afterwards to prevent future fraud attemptsOtherwise this case has already been closed

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: 10pt;"> We would like to note, for any other customer's sake, that this ordeal took days to resolve which we find to be unacceptableBy the time they "approved" this job, the contractor couldn't even schedule for until days after thatAlso, the contract clearly states that HSC covers the leak up to $I asked if the $service charge fee would be paid directly to the contractorThey said yesOk, no issues thereMy husband called back to clarify, thinking that if the plumber billed the amount for $625, we'd pay $and HSC covers the $They said no, they will only pay $375! Nowhere in the contract is it written like thisNowhere does it say that our service fee is part of the covered amount! This is a clear breach of contractWe requested, for a 3rd time now, to speak to a [redacted] One never, ever attempted to contact usI am still asking for cancellation of this contract! Sincerely, [redacted] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]
