Honda World Reviews (102)

Last night at about 7pm before that I had spoken to him over the phone he tells me to come in don't worry about money down ( I also had a flyer I received on the mail by that dealer that had my name and info about my existing car loan interest and they said they could help me lower it so that's what caught my eye and called them right away so I gave them a call and On the flyer it said ask for Mr. [redacted] so I did and that's when I was connected with [redacted]. So we arranged for me to go down and see [redacted] so called manager! and when I get there he shakes my hand and doesn't help me but Introduces me to [redacted] which according to him he's one of his best sales men. I was promised by [redacted] a no money down upgrade lowering my current interest rate.. All that sounded too good to be true and it was. After going to the lot with [redacted] he's showing me all these cars that aren't what I described I was interested on but to make this short we had already filed out application and by now he's taken my drivers license so that's protocol when doing application so I didn't think anything out of the ordinary so we head out to the lot I see a car I like I start asking questions which is pretty normal.. It seems like he can't take it so he calls a finance manager [redacted] out the field. He shakes my hand and takes us out for a test drive while [redacted] the sales man Which is the sales man still has my license because he did our application ok so we Test the car With the finance manager [redacted]. My husband drives it and everything is good so far. We get back to the dealership and the guy is gone for the day! With my drivers license . I noticed because we get back from the test drive and I don't see him outside . If figures he's inside but not until I sat down with the finance man and I didn't like his deal for the new car so I opted out that's what I got up abd wanted to leave and noticed my license wasn't in my wallet! I start to panic! Every one in the dealer is trying to get a hold of him. No answer ! Nobody could reach him! I was given his number so I was blowing up that phone. It's now [redacted] still no license. I called the next morning and got a hold of [redacted] and he saida he didn't know he took my DL and he also mentioned he has not time to bring it back. So I had to go This morning to the DMV and get a replacement(27$) I couldn't take my Chances . Now still no license 10/2 this happened 9/30. Ridiculous no manager wanted to take responsibility. I don't recommend this dealer to anyone!!!!

Review: We had been looking for a new used car and found one on there website and called and they said they would beat the other place that had the same car we were looking at. [redacted] was the guy I spoke to on the phone. I told him we were coming from San Diego and would be there around 6 pm. This is usually about an hour in half drive. Traffic was horrible and we didn't get there until almost 7 pm, but before we arrived I called them as we were getting off at Buena Park Blvd. and spoke with [redacted] again asking him if they still had the car and he said yes. (Now let me tell you the distance from the exit to the dealership is only about 2 miles.) Upon arrival we go inside and a manager comes over to us and tells us he has good news and bad news. (We already knew the bad news before he told us.)

The bad news was the car was sold and supposedly [redacted] did not have this info. (BUNCH OF LIES!). The good news was (in his opinion) they had other cars we could look at (DUH) and they would honor the price and accessories told to us. (ANOTHER BUNCH OF LIES!)

The first LYING SALESMAN was a complete jerk, He was RUDE and DISGUSTING!. I went to the manager and told him his salesman was rude and I don't want to work with him.

The new salesman was nice and naive. He was new and hadn't learned all the lies yet.

After hours of looking at cars. They did not have another Honda that we liked. When they brought over an Acura that we were interested in. And then the haggling and lies began again. They did not honor there word to meet the price and accessories we wanted. Understand we knew this was a better car and were willing to come up in price but not get ripped off. At this point it is now after 10 pm and we are tired and exhausted with dealing with them. We quickly researched the Acura to see what a fair price was.

We told them the price we wanted and after some more haggling we finally agreed upon the price but they did not honor there word with giving us the tech package.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the tech package that was promised to me if I purchased a car from them.

Review: I traded in my car for a new one. Honda World never pay off my old car which cause be to make double payments (old and new loans). I called them many times, they said the person whom responds for my case is not in. I also left messages for the manager. My old car interest is at 20% with the daily interest of $9. If they keep delay on the payoff, I will have to eat the daily interest and the monthly payment for a car that I no longer have.Desired Settlement: I shouldn't have to pay this month car payment for $600 plus the daily interest. They need to payoff my car and refund me at least $600.

Response:

This complaint has been resolved. Honda World Westminster has paid off the traded in vehicle. As of 6/19/14, the customer has a $0 balance on their trade in.

Thanks,

Review: on May 10th I went to the Honda World dealer to lease a Honda Accord they checked my credit history and I was approved to lease the car , I put $2219 as a down payment and I took the car, on May 13th I started receiving messages from [redacted] ( salesman )asking me for a copy of my SS card which is so weird to send such a document via text messages , when I refused to send then they asked me to come back to the dealer because there are more paper work to fill out, I went there on may 23rd , when I got there they told me that your credit score is low and the only way to keep the car is to increase my monthly payment to $320 instead of $220 , after we refused that and we told them that we do not want the car then they came back and said they are OK to increase the down payment by another $580 and increase the monthly payment to $250 only, we ended up taking the car because our desperate need of a car , but their advertisement is all wrong and we never heard of anyone takes a car and leave then the dealer call and asks for more down payment , in any dealer you do not leave with a car before they check your credit and every thing is final.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my $580 back and go back to the first agreed on lease

Review: We leased a 2013 Honda Accord from Mr. [redacted] at HondaWorld on 09/02/2013. After the deal, Mr. [redacted] took us to [redacted] to finish the paperwork and convinced us into purchasing the maintenance. We talked and he clearly promised that we wouldn't have to worry about all the maintenance's for the next 3 years, which is the duration of the lease. We negotiated and he even calculated all the 10k, 15k, 20k, 30k services costs to be considered. When we took the car back for a 10k mile check-up last week, we sadly found out through the service department and another finance person at the dealership that whatever we purchased only cover oil changes. They said that it'll cost $300 more if we wanted to upgrade it to cover everything. We were never mentioned about different types of maintenance offered through Hondaworld. We feel that we've been cheated and/or tricked in some way. We remember that after signing the original lease contract with Mr. [redacted] on 09/02/2013, he called us back about 2 or 3 weeks later asking us to re-sign the lease because some mistake he made. We re-signed the new lease on 09/30/2013 in his favor realizing it was an honest mistake. This costs us $31.49 more per month. We've tried to make things right even after the lease had been signed and took some loss, but this service contract is not fair. We emailed Mr. [redacted] about this issue a few days ago, but was not helpful at all. We think money is not the only issue here, your practice of doing business is not very honest. We hope this can be fixed so HondaWorld wouldn't lose any loyal customers for small things like this.Desired Settlement: Honor what had been promised. Full maintenance on the car for the remaining time of the lease.

Review: I applied for a car loan with a trade. They called me back and said it was 100% approved with my trade 0 down and 250-275 dollar car payments. Then we started having issues.the first car I wanted to look at had a blown transmission it was a Dodge Charger SE Silver 2013. Then then strung me along for 3 weeks telling everything is still good I am approved with my trade still at 0 down same payment. They finally got 2 2013 Dodge Chargers I went to look at one of them last night and the person who originally helped me was hiding out and they had another sales rep help me stating that they ran my credit while they already did about 3 weeks ago and now my score dropped and they needed a co signer so I got a co signer went to the dealership then they changed their story saying they never ran my credit and they just ran it yesterday and now I was needing even with the co signer $1500.00 down and was looking at 409 a month. I said I couldn't do it. I honestly think this dealership needs to be investigated.Desired Settlement: I would like for all the trouble I went through to pay my car off $12775.00 or Pay 4 months worth of payments $1600 for putting through this emotional roller coaster and for lying to me and putting my mother n law who is 85 who cosigned for the car I didnt get through an emotional roller coaster. Please assist me with this matter. Please. I no longer want or will ever buy a car from them again.Thank you

Review: Purchased used Nissan Xterra from Honda-World Westminster on 10/21/2011 with dealership financing at 5.29%. Finance people convinced me to also purchase 3-yr Vehicle Service Contract ($1,780, Warranty Solutions), Alarm ($1,010), and Auto Theft Protection ($475). On Sept 2012, I was able to refi at much lower interest rate with Matador Credit Union at 2.49%. On 3/29/2013, I visited Honda-World, and spoke with **. He gave me a cancellation form. He said that all I have to do is sign it, and he will complete the rest of the form. He also mentioned that I will get the refund check in 90 days. I waited 90 days, still no refund check in the mail. I called their Finance Dep't at least five times. On a couple of those calls, I was able to get hold of a person at the other end of the line. I keep hearing to the effect of "It's strange that it has not been processed in the system. They'll have somebody call me later." Nobody has called me. I hope Revdex.com can help resolve this, if not I'll have [redacted] sue these guys for a lot more money than the refund I'm requesting.

Review: I have been trying to contact a finance manager at Honda World since Tuesday 4/8/14 with no luck. I needed to speak to a finance manager since I was able to pay off my car loan early and the bank informed me to contact the dealership for a possible refund on my GAP insurance. My husband and I have called numorous times at different times of the day and all we keep getting told is that the finance team is not answering or not available and we were told that the best thing to do is leave a message. I personally have left 2 messages with the operator/receptionist and one directly on a finance managers voicemail and none of those messages were ever returned. We have tried to call to follow up on those messages and continue to get the run around and/or our calls get disconnected. I find it very hard to believe that there is not 1 finance manager available at any time during the day or evening that has at least 10 mins to contact a customer with a question or concern. This seems to be a clear display of poor customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like a call back from a Finance Manager at this dealership so I can get answers to my questions.

Business

Response:

Every employee at Honda World takes customer service very seriously. It is unfortunate you have been unable to contact anybody in the finance department. You will receive a call shortly to address any concerns. We recommend all customers who wish to cancel their gap policy to come into the dealership and fill out a cancellation form.

Review: The sales person [redacted] called and gave me a price over the phone, I agreed to the the price and terms and conditions and asked her to send me an email confirming everything we had talked about. she sent me an email but left out a few important details. after going back and forthwith her on the emails to cover all the details we reached final price and terms of the sale, she sent me an email with the name and number of GSM of the store [redacted] to confirm that everything in the email was correct and will be honored.

I called [redacted] and confirmed once again that all the conditions that were mentioned in the email will be honored and their pricing is not a bait and switch. he confirmed and we set a time to meet at 6 pm. during our conversation he checked his inventory and we confirmed that the car was available.

I got to the dealership at 6 pm and asked for [redacted] or [redacted] but none of them wanted to see me and I was greeted by [redacted] instead. I showed him the emails and asked him to start the paperwork. at this he said he will have to talk to [redacted] about it. He came back after a few minutes said they will not honor the price as these emails were just a way to get customers to come to their dealership and things usually change.

After about an hour of discussion we were told that there is nothing that the dealership can do about this and if I wanted the car it will be at a different price. I left without buying the carDesired Settlement: I want the dealership to honor the pricing they quoted in writing and stop bait and switch tactics

Review: On 12-30-13, I responded to a advertising letter to refinance my current vehicle. I was told by the finance manager that they wouldn't be able to refinance my vehicle. That they would be able to get me into 2014 vehicle for the same price. That Honda was a better car then the car that I was currently driving. I signed a contract for a Honda Pilot. I gave the key from 2012 Murano to the sales person and removed all my belongings from that car and put them in the new car. During the negations I asked for the overhead DVD player out of the old car. The finance manager told me that they would give me the DVD player once the bank paid for the new vehicle. Before taking the new Pilot the finance closer and manager stated to me if the bank called me that To keep my car payment low that I would have to tell them that I was giving the Murano to my husband. On 1-10-14 I visited the dealership to get the alarm system and Dvd installed in the pilot. The service department installed the alarm. They said that there wasn't any record of a DVD player. On that date I spoke with my salesperson. The Murano was in their procession for close to three weeks. On 1-17-14 I returned to the dealership to get the DVD player installed and to ask why hadn't the Murano been paid off yet. Another finance manager looked at the contract and stated it's not in the contract as you traded a car in. He said I would have to wait for the people who worked the deal to come in. My sales person came in. He stated to me " don't you remember me telling that we weren't going to be able to take your car as a trade in? That you agreed to volunteer to surrender the other car" I told him, you never said anything like that. That they never told me that they were not taking the car as a trade. When talking to a manager he stated" this is he say, she say". In court the judge is going to go by the contract. The finance closer who worked the deal stated, "we've already been paid for that car. That's between you and Southland and them now.Desired Settlement: I really am unsure of how this can be settled. I feel that my credit has been ruined by people just wanting to obtain a sale at the expenses of others.

Review: I added Honda Care extended warranty during the purchase of my car for $1,695, which had a 60 day cancelation policy. I later tried to cancel in the initial 60 days, by calling Honda Care directly. Honda Care advised I must do the cancelation though the dealership in person during the fist 60 days. I visited the dealership around the 58th Day and submitted my cancelation. I was given no receipt but told it will take 6-8 weeks to go through. 10 weeks later, Honda Care had not sent back the funds for the Extended Warranty nor did they have any record of receiving the cancelation from the dealership. The dealership said the paperwork cannot be found and they cannot backdate a cancelation to the 60 day, no penalty cancelation period. The dealership and staff likely would have missed out on commissions had my cancelation been turned I on time, so that makes the "lost" paperwork extremely questionable. It is also concerning that Honda and the Dealership don't take the responsible steps to make sure these "mishaps" don't' happen. Very disappointed in both Honda and the dealership for allowing a shaky and shady process of canceling extended warrantees.Desired Settlement: Full refund of my Extended Warranty that would should have received after I submitted my cancelation.

Review: On 2/18 I had scheduled an appointment for my mother to Honda World Westminster for an airbag recall notice. I was reluctant to do so for the fact they will try and charge for something she's not aware of. As so on 10:15 her appointment opened they serviced her vehicle for that known issue then 2 hours later I get a call from [redacted] saying she needs extensive work on her vehicle. I then mention to [redacted] I appreciate the info but we will be taking her car home. My mom then proceeded to get her car and they say her bill is $139.95 for an alignment. Totally confused my mother who is 74 years of age and only drives around town up to 10 miles a week then calls me to tell me there is a charge so I rushed there and spoke with [redacted]. He then walks me through the forms that she signed and keep in mind that I can barely understand what HE WAS SAYING. He said she signed the forms therefore making her financially liable; keeping her vehicle hostage. I asked [redacted] do you think she understood you and at anytime did you mention how much the cost was going to be or did you just rushed through it and pointing things of her car and saying these items need to be done? he had no response. Keep in mind that she is 74 years of age, a female and does not understand completely the English language. That is why she wanted to go to Honda World in Westminster since it has many employees that speak Vietnamese. Another thing is that 4 months ago I had 4 new tires and an alignment done for her at Americas Tire so its hard to imagine for an elderly woman to dis-align her vehicle that soon and at he damage Honda World reported. After so many negative reviews on Yelp it is hard to believe anyone would trust this establishment further. I hope they stop there bad practice and really take of their customers.Desired Settlement: Refund and an explanation of their service practice. I want someone in their management who has authority to make decisions correspond back to me.

Review: I purchased a car on Wednesday Nov. 29 2014 . The sales man took the all the paperwork that I sign and the contract as well because I still had to provide them with a $[redacted] check. I went back the next day due to the fact that I was recently let go from my job to return the car they mentioned that they couldn't take it back even though I had lost my job and didnt know the way that I was going to pay [redacted] or more on a monthly payment. Honda world also sent me a letter notice to rescind called back and finance said not to worry that they send that to everyone. I keep calling to find out status and help but finance mentioned that they will call me if they need anything from me. they only call once saying that the only help they can give me is by getting me in to a different car but I told them I didnt want that. I want to return the car they said no and they would give me a call back its been 12 days now and im worried even more they haven't responded to my calls and I have no contract to at least take it to counsel since they are not helping me at all. the Manager said he could NOT even give me a copy. Review: Honda World guaranteed financing for a vehicle on January 18, 2015. I was then asked to put $1,000 down, completed the contract and I was given the vehicle. I was then asked to return on the 22nd to complete another contract at a lesser amount for another lender without vehicle warranty and asked to put down an addition $100 for the waranty deposit along with having a separate monthly bill for vehicle warranty.

On February 16, I received a call from [redacted] from Honda World Finance telling me that he had very bad news. He stated that CPS would not be funding my loan literally the same day that I was scheduled to make my first payment installment. He said that lender stated there were discrepancies in the information on the loan paperwork and my welcome telephone call from the lender. He stated that I had to return the car to Honda World.

When I asked if there was any way to try to keep the car with another lender, he stated that I could do so if I put down more money.

Each dealing with this place involves more and more money and very sketchy business practices. I believe numbers and information were manipulated by the finance rep at Honda World in order to make a sale. I am requesting an investigation into the application sent to CPS by Honda World as I believe it was inaccurate of my monthly rent and income. I provided more than the actual amount of rent to Honda World yet CPS had another amount.

Honda World guaranteed funding in front on all three of my family members and stated that they could help me. Now a month later I have lost wages from work trying to secure another vehicle at the last minute due to Honda World's negligence. This is fraud and bad faith.Desired Settlement: Honda World needs to honor their promise to me and find another lender or make this right. They must honor my contract and allow me to keep the vehicle with the same monthly payments as agreed and no additional costs to me.

Review: Honda World (Westminster) and A.L. Financial decided to rescind the agreement for my 2013 Hyundai Elantra weeks after I had taken ownership of the vehicle and made a down payment of $2,000.00 as well as my first monthly payment in the amount of $457.00.

Honda World claimed that AL Financial decided not to honor my loan agreement due to concerns on my application. Before returning the vehicle to Honda World, I was assured in writing by Honda World that 100% of my deposit and initial payment would be refunded as long as the car was returned voluntarily versus repossessed.

But when I returned the car on 2/5/15, I was given a check of only $1,250.00. I was told by someone identifying themselves as [redacted]'s manager that $750.00 was deducted from my refund for private investigator costs?

The next day I faxed and mailed Honda World a letter demanding that the full balance of my refund. As of 2/18/15, I have not received a response.

The following facts support my full refund:

• Honda World and A.L. Financial rescinded my contract weeks after I took ownership of the car

• I wrote to Honda in my letter dated January 23, 2015 that I would return the car as soon as Honda World responded to the requests made in the letter (full refund of my deposit and payment and no negative marks added to my credit report)

• Honda expressed in letter dated 1/23/15 and received by me on 1/24/15 that my full refund would be returned as long as I voluntarily returned the car

• I voluntarily returned the car on February 5, 2015 to Honda World even though Honda World never addressed my concern over not reporting negative information to my credit report

• On February 5, 2015, Honda World refunded only $1,250.00 of my refund claiming they withdrew costs of $750 for their alleged repossession effortsDesired Settlement: Refund $750.00

No negative credit marks added to my credit report.

Review: On 9/212014 I leased a new Honda vehicle with my old leased VW. Their ad and the sales person told me that I didn't have to pay any payment to VW and I could drive a new Honda. It was called Our Key For Key exchange program. I requested the sales person that VW automatic payment will be processed on 10/15/2014 and make sure Honda will take care of it.--->306.91 They didn't. $306.91 was deducted from my bank account. Payments after November were taken care by Honda. Also Honda promised that the final bill from VW will be taken care of.--->$111.82 They have not. I contacted Honda World many times, but they have not responded to my request yet. I sent e-mails and left phone messages but no response was provided.Desired Settlement: I just want Honda World to send me a check. The amount is $418.73($306.91 Oct payment VW and $111.82 the final bill from VW.)

Review: I purchased a 2010 Dodge Caliber, 7 months ago, when I lived in California, from Honda World of Westminster. When I took the car in for service in [redacted], the repair man told me the transmission needs to be replaced also, that it is corroded and rusted, and they can not remove the transmission to replace it. The car is not movable.Desired Settlement: I would like Honda World to payoff the car with the finance company, since I no longer have a car to drive. Honda World should take responsibility for this defective product. The manufacturer's warranty would've covered the repair, but the repairman can't remove the corroded part.

Review: I received a pre-approval letter from [redacted] auto financing. As in intructed, I went to the Honda world dealership. After finding a car I liked, we discussed financing options. I was told a 1,000 dollar down payment was required. I made it clear that I did not have a 1,000 dollars to put down. I was told by the sales person to write a check and they could hold each check till I had the funds in my account to cover each check. I was this was required so that I could drive off the lot with the vehicle that same day. I was contacted by Honda 2 days later. They informed that they were not able to get the original contract finaced and they would need to collect an additional 1,000 dollars. I made it clear I did not have a 1,000 extra dollars. They once again assured me I could write a check and they would hold it till I had funds to cover the check. I was told to contact a lady in their finace department and she would be happy to hold the additonal checks. In returning to the dealrship I noticed they had the car advertised online for 1,000 less then I paid. We settled on a price and finalized a new contract. I was contacted by Honda stating that they could no longer hold the check and if I did not pay them by 8/22/14 they were going to sue me for the final $600 I owed them. By this time I had received numerous calls from the sales person trying to sale me vitamins and health supplements. I declined, as this appeared to be some sort of pyrimid scheme. After researching the issue and seeing the many complaints consumers have had with this dealership. I regret doing any business with Honda World Westminister. To sum this up, I have 3 issues: 1. I was told the orginal contract was financed, only to be contacted 2 days later regarding another contract which required another 1,000 down. 2. They would not honor the online sale price. 3. I was told the sales department will say whatever they need to say to close a sale. These people are deceptive crooks-stay awayDesired Settlement: I can pay the additional 600 dollars in 2 payments. If they continue to threaten legal action, we will go to court and this informaiton will become public record.
