Just days ago received another bill in the amount of $16. I would like to know for what exactly? For a split second, while opening the envelope I thought it may be an apology for the horrible service I've received for months and maybe even a promise to get my delivery back on track for good...wishful thinking on my part. A representative named [redacted] left me a message to call him Monday. Both me and my [redacted] have tried to contact him by leaving messages and he still has yet to return our calls...today is Thursday! The HC stated that they credited my account but that was not a regular occurrence. Most of the time, it would never happen like they said it would. Even still, the $2 (2 papers @ $1 each) credit does not compare to my out of pocket expense of $5 per week (2 papers @ $2.50) that I had to pay at various locations to purchase it even though I paid the Houston Chronicle IN FULL to receive it for much less than that. Bottom line is, I paid for a service that I did not receive for months and additionally, I am out of pocket more than double the agreed upon weekly rate. Yes, my papers were delivered the last two weeks. This is the first time this has happened in many, many months. I feel it only happened because I filed this complaint. I am not confident that it will continue once this complaint is closed.
Regards,[redacted]

[redacted]After reviewing your account I see [redacted] spoke with you in regards to your billing concerns. Your account was adjusted to honor what was promised to you. My apologies you had to submit a Revdex.com complaint to get your voice heard.  If I can be of any assistance going forward please...

contact me at [redacted]Sincerely,Angie H[redacted]

[redacted]My apologies for the billing error. I have removed the balance from your account and processed a refund totaling $21.70. You will receive your refund with 2-4 weeks.  Any questions please contact me at [email protected],Angie H[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  Although I have not yet received the newspapers, it appears that the level of this problem has finally reached someone in authority who will be able to correct the problem.  It would be my preference to keep this file/complaint open until the delivery problem is corrected.  Thank you.

Mr. Murdoch,
I'm sorry you are canceling your service due to poor delivery.  I stopped your paper immediately and refunded your credit card on file for $12.00.
Sincerely,
[redacted] Honerkamp

Mr. [redacted], My apologies for the poor delivery service you have been experiencing lately.  I understand you spoke to Mike Hicks today who assured you your delivery would improve immediately, a paper was delivered today unfortunately it was a Thursday paper and not Wednesday which you...

were ok with.  Shelley (district manager) will confirm delivery this Sunday, September 6th.  I have applied a 1 week credit on your account for the missed deliveries.  Thank you for being a longtime loyal subscriber to the Houston Chronicle. Sincerely,Angie [redacted]
