Revdex.com:Purchased my Jeep Cherokee on 5/26/When doing the financing I was trading in my current car which had a total payoff of $My auto payment went through on 5/28/and lowered the payoff amount to $When it came time for Huntington Beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to payoff the trade in vehicle they paid only $I called in June Huntington Beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and talked with an accountant who said they should be sending out a refund check for $I have not received a refund check for $and I have not received any return calls to explain why it has not been refundedI have called and left multiple messages every month for [redacted] (my leasing agent) and have not received a return callThis issue was already brought up in a complaint that was supposedly resolved 9/13/2014, but I have yet to receive the full refund or any calls, texts, or emails from the dealer to resolve this complaintI did receive a check for ~$for a sales tax errorThe $has still yet to be resolved or refundedThe business is being very slow on the refund.Refund check for $ Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe business response in no way addresses the multiple issues brought up in my complaint I am not trying to extort any sort of repair at all because as said in my complaint I was never told what fluid, or why my car was leaking [redacted] initially told me what my car needed and why, and when I did not believe him he offered to show me the" caked up dirt " under my carwhen my car was in the air he was unable to show me any such dirt or leaking gasketthat he had just minutes ago said needed a $repair [redacted] then began saying he needed to remove more parts to see what was actually leaking after quoting $for repairsI find it disgusting that a certified repair tech can quote 800$ for repair offer to show the customer the issue and when the customer is under the car looking suddenly the story becomes" we need to take off more parts to find out what is going on " I placed an accurate review of the treatment I received at your establishment on yelpwith Bureau of Automotive repairSecretary of Sate you have my address feel free to serve me with a lawsuitI will file an answer and a countersuit and we will have our day in courtfor now I am sure my review is having my intended effect of showing people what type of dealership you areHave a wonderful day Regards, [redacted]

It's the first time for me to know a dealership DO NOT do business with international studentsThank you so much, Huntington Beach JeepI'm currently an international student in CA and this is the fifth year for me to stay in USI talked with the dealer for a few days via phone and when I went to the store, they told me, they could not sell vehicles to international student because I'm holding a F-visa instead of a green card or working visaI have proof of living address, proof of bank statement, I20, visa, passport, I took everything I have but they did not even ask for!! I left the dealer and after a four or five hours, the sales call back and said if I would like to pay $then I could purchase the vehicleThe dealership has their own policy, and I understand thatBut I want people especially the students like me to read my reviewWhy should I pay more than the others just because of my identity!

No refund has been made on my Acura TL, I tried calling the business multiple times, they told me they're transferring me to the right departments and they transfer me to multiple 'managers' that never responds and goes straight to voice mailboxI left voice messages, was never heard back expectedly.
The business tells me they'll happily refund them for you, but not only they haven't done anything, but also they avoid it by not receiving any calls or tell customers contact the 'managers' who never answers any calls or responds to voicemailsI request the refund to be processed immediately as promised

[This is not a reasonable solution for any conscientious consumerThis dealership continues to foster mistrust and set off red flagsI see no willingness on their part to try to redeem themselvesThey have never appropriately addressed the most critical issues at hand that would welcome me to their dealership:
1) What are the accurate breakdowns & OTD prices for the vehicles, if not what I offered, that was NEVER accepted?
2) What are the correct DMV/gov’t fees paid on the vehicles and why did they change?
3) Are any of the vehicles I initially inquired about still available?
4) What law requires them to run a credit report on a buyout because the Patriot Act does not apply?
5) What other vehicles do they have that are comparable or better than the one I inquired about that was later said to be sold?
There has been no denial and no defense that the only OTD breakdowns I was sent do not balance and are without meritThat is clear, factual, in writing and undisputed
An invitation to their dealership after privately being told to go buy elsewhere, on a now flat public promise that they will do better is unreliableA more promising start or offer would have been to provide the answers to the above #1-issues and concernsI see #is not even a consideration for them
The latest response is not a viable solution for me to travel 1+ hour on blind trust to a dealership that has yet to provide pertinent business answers & information and correct pricing? I understand they are trying to discourage me as a cash buyerI understand they are not interested in working with cash buyers, we’re bad customers to themI’m certain they are working vigorously to sell those Jeeps to buyers who will finance and not notice the add-ons, hidden and undisclosed fees to increase their margin and negate the discountThey have persisted in stalling me as a cash buyer fully aware I do refuse to go to their dealership over hour away without full disclosure and transparency of important information and correct pricing agreed to in writing beforehand]

I would like to say that our Jeep was at this dealership over a month and a half Saying that it wasn't this thing, so we need to keep it another two daysThey just didn't know what was wrong and kept leading us on I live in Arizonia so kept staying (with family) thinking I could go home in two day, two days, two days Just didn't happen Then after about a week they said that they would pay for my rental car in full, to use until it got done (in five days) having me sign a lease with my credit card info In a weeks they decided that it needed a new engine, and that it was not covered under warrentee So we waited with a rental car that we paid for While waiting my grandaughter died, so I had to stay still paying for the rental car Finally I just went home waiting for them to get the new used engine in that we paid for Upon getting home I realized that they had charged me for the rental that they agreed to pay for When questioning them they said not to worry they would take it off They never did!!!! When I went back to pick up the car (had to get a flight to get there and have my daughter take me to pick it up) it was sooooo filthy that I couldn't believe it When I asked them about it they said service manager said it was as is...When I spoke to him he said that the dealership lost so much money on the car that they did not care Just take it (and they were way to busy) I was so upset, and when I talked to my husband he said let it go there was nothing else we could do He called corporate to file a claim They gave us partial oil changes and sent us on our way The dealership nothing As much money as we have spent on this car In the thousandsIt seems sad that the dealership can't keep a promise, or wash the car:(

This complaint is a duplicateThe prior response from us:
"We will fully refund the purchase price
plus reimburse for the money put into the car with proof of payment and receiptsWe will reimburse gas, childcare and a rental up to $with receipts and proof of paymentThe vehicle was sold but our inspection process was done and we think its condition is good, safe and representative of the price, age and mileage sold forThere was absolutely no advertisementAny questions, concerns or needs, please call the General Manager, *** ***, on his cell ***."
Why was a second complaint filed?

To quote the customer in their exact terms: "We started off getting the truck's oil changed at the dealership until one of the services employees lied and took advantage of me about the service of the truckSince then we went to another facility to get the services done on our truck since we could no longer trust the employees at the Dodge Huntington Beach service department, therefore we had no knowledge of the mandatory year inspection to continue the lifetime warranty."
I do not know how to respond beyond what I have already said.
If the customer wants to discuss this further to help better understand, please call the GM, *** ***, on his cell ***He will do everything within his power to assist

The Dealership has made the refund as represented to the customer

Very very unconcerned and no empathy towards customers with lemon vehicles
ESP when the vehicle already has had transmission replace , and will need NEW engine Management can not be located , when these issues arise They *** you off on FCA resolution team ( that's also does not call you back , should be NO resolution team ) Dealer at some point should just offer yo replace a car that needs a transmission AND NEW ENGINE !!! Wow really HB JEEP ,, bad business practice!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe response is evasive and deflective of the issue at handRather than correcting and addressing the torts committed by this business they divert the topic to a *** review of a different dealershipThey did this via email as well, rather than providing answers they redirected a question to something else
Secondly, purchasing a car is NOT as simple as just showing up especially with the way many dealerships (this one included) & salesmen choose to operateHowever, good professional dealerships can make it a simple process by simply answering the consumers questions, providing an honest breakdown and OTD pricing correctly, the first timeAlbeit, when the intent and practice of a business is to NOT honor their advertised pricing and discourage cash buyers it is evident in the tactics and behaviors I experienced from this dealershipIt’s obvious just showing up would have been an even greater waste of my time and energies and those left hanging with me who were prepared to give me a ride to the dealership
You are in a business where presenting a breakdown and OTD price is done multiple times a day, so you have no excuse for not being proficient at itWhy did you not address that? When I brought the discrepancies to your attention to correct, you again manipulated figures that did not balanceWhy didn’t you address that? Instead, you were out of excuses and chose to send a private message letting me know a savvy consumer who asks questions is unwelcomed as your customerNow, you say you had concern I would be a bad customer (Bad customer to you = one who can add, asks pertinent business questions, gets the deal straight and price in writing before making a long trip to the dealership, points out discrepancies, and affords professionals an opportunity to correct a situation)I get you very clearly and the type of bad business you representBut as stated, was never about wanting to do business with “you,” for me it was about purchasing a vehicle at a reasonable priceBut you did everything you could to prevent that because the price you advertised was only a lure and NEVER intended to be sold at that price and especially not to a cash buyerBottomline, you don’t get to do that and not be held accountable and at the very least exposed

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to
complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution has been somewhat satisfactory to me. I have received partial refund of my down payment ($of the $1250) from the dealershipAlthough the refund was partial and did not reflect a "full refund" of the money I invested in this vehicle, I am willing to accept this resolution so that I no longer have to interact with the dealership
