I was looking to find records for 2 individuals and I found InfoTracer website. It said that I need to pay $3.99 for a 7 day trial and they will give me the reports. Then, another window popped up saying that I need to pay $18 to see a full report. After I paid, there was nothing in those reports. It couldn’t give me any information! This is very misguided advertisement and wasted my time and money. I contacted the seller about this issue to get a full refund.

To whom it may concern,After careful review of this complaint, I can see that *** contacted our Dedicated Customer Care Team via email. Our system indicates that one of our dedicated Customer Care Representatives responded to ***’s concern. The representative offered *** free search assistance, and *** did not respond to the email with additional information that would help our Team of Research Experts. Also, Infotracer.com provides optional purchasing of premium data as an added value to our services. These premium reports come from a different data partner, which is why we require the extra fee of only $18.00. Premium reports are completely optional, and customers do not have to purchase them. They are a bait and switch operation. They promise a basic report using 20 or so databases and, after yielding absolutely NO results beyond perhaps a birth date (I've seen much better results from FREE services!) they suggest you pay the "premium" price to get ANYTHING else.

Then when you try to fill out an email query about billing or anything else, they refuse to accept almost every single input using the lame excuse that you entered an "Invalid character". I think even a simple period is "invalid". Then they reset your message box to empty (you lose all your message every time). This is obviously designed to frustrate ALL complaints.

Thank you.

Just saw that I have had a $20 recurring charge from this business for four months that I had NO idea was happening -- don't remember signing up for this, this is absolutely fraudulent. Contesting this with my debit card company as this is absolutely ridiculous. This business should be shut down.

Complete scam. I searched records on a person. Before I subscribed and paid, it showed that there were mugshots, and all type of record found such as arrest records, marriage records, divorce, criminal etc. It said it found this and that about that same person. I knew exactly what he has on his record, but was just curious about the mugshot. I paid, and it showed NO information available. Did a test using my name , the only thing it found was some old addresses, not even any of my addresses in past 2-3 years! Absolute SCAM!

This is one of the disreputable data brokers who compile and package people's private data -- such as unlisted phones numbers, info about family members, etc. -- and then offer parts for free online, while selling more.

I have REPEATEDLY submitted requests for them to remove my personal information, as I did not ask them to violate my privacy and make me vulnerable to a stalker, nor did they pay me for their use of MY private information.

To Whom It May Concern:

I called and requested Info Tracer to remove all files associated with my name and address. They told me they would remove it but if anybody requested the information on me, they’d compile another file. Info Tracer is not ***, ***, or ***. They have no rights to compile files on personal identities. My information has been breached and compromised as a result of their doing.
For example, they have this woman named *** listed as one of my relatives. SHE IS NOT. I don’t know her. Never met her. She don’t live with me. She ain’t married to one of my brothers or named as one of their kids. She not a friend of mine. Due to Info Tracer, this lady has been able to list my name, phone number, and physical address to open accounts. Folks calling me to pay her bills. I am upset. Even some catalog people have my account UNDER THAT LADY. I have told them to remove it. All of it is a long battle.

DESIRED OUTCOME:

I want Info Tracer to remove all accounts for *** listed as:
***; ***; ***.

I want Info Tracer to remove all accounts listing me as a relative of:
*** (I am not her relative)

I want Info Tracer to remove all accounts associated with my physical and mailing addresses:

Do so, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. And don’t ever put back on your website again, indefinitely.

Sincerely

[The problem is MY PERSONAL INFORMATION is not public access as you have it. Other folks information was in those files. You listed a "***" as one of my relatives. I DON'T KNOW THAT PERSON. Plus, you listed other '***' information in my file. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I am not a criminal. They are. I don't write bad checks. In fact, I don't write checks at all. THEY DO. I have never been to prison. THEY HAVE. If anybody looks up that information and sees my name, address, and phone number listed---they'll believe its me. That's the problem. You can't just SELL folks personal information to others. That is an invasion of privacy. Taking it down but saying you will upload it again upon someone's request==that's wrong. I think higher government levels need to know this is going on within your organization.]

I used this service once to preform a background check on myself and was charge $4.95 for the service. Which was supposed to be a one time charge. Several days later the company charged me $19.95 even though I had already paid the $4.95 and did not have a monthly subscription. I have called and emailed them and have yet to have the money refunded to me. I do not see why I am being charged for a monthly subscription when I only selected a one time use. I have no way to cancel my account to prevent this from continuing.

Infotracer.com advertises access to various legal records/warrants/traffic violations of a person. Once the basic information is entered i.e. first name, last name, state of residence, they incorrectly show court records and ask for $4.95 fees to access the records.

After the fee is paid, it is clear that the results of the search were false and no records are available.

The website incorrectly showed that there are court records under my name. I want my data removed from the website.

There are multiple similar complaints and it should be investigated if the Infotracer.com and their affiliates are PURPOSEFULLY indulging in malpractice.

I placed an order for a "single report purchase" for a background report from Infotracer. I paid $29.95 by credit card. My report never arrived. I called the customer support line and was told to look for an email from Infotracer containing a password to access my account. The email never came. I called back again and asked to have my order cancelled since I never received my report. They would not cancel my order. I asked for my account to be deleted, and they said they could not deactivate my account. I suspect that this company is running a scam.

I had a 2003 Buick Lesabre that I put up for sale in February of 2020 I was going to purchase a Vehicle History using the Vin # and have it available for interested buyers .I went to the Infotracer website entered in the information and it gathered results and came back full report ready and available but to get that report it must be purchased so I bought for $14.95 a order which included 5 premium reports and 1 month unlimited vin lookups . So after paying for this I go to access report it then says sorry a report is not available for this vehicle. So wait a sec just told report ready and available not it's not I was charged Feb. 18 for 14.95 never used that is flat fraud it didn't say purchase and we will assemble report it said it was already completed and ready and available I just never went back to the site never recieved any reports but again I was charged 14.95 in March I went to website and it does stare a reoccurring charge of not canceled before month ends My mistake but it also says in terms of service a email would be sent reminding you of that charge .Not true I received nothing so I went to the site was going to cancel it to be sure of no more charges went to access the site it says I have no account the credentials were saved in my password manager so it was correct I had no account but charged I called and talked to representative told what happened she claimed she couldn't refund but she canceled my account but said I was already charged I had 5 premium reports and unlimited ven lookups for the month also said I would be able to login now acted like that was something special . Really how nice I had something I was already charged for just to see went and tried to login said same thing no account next day received email saying account suspended I had no access then next day another email saying service terminated stated my account expired but ii could have 1 year for 9.95 went to site sure enough after paying for and then being told I would have that for the month I had no access or account so I paid for 2 months 14.95 for Feb and March and recieved nothing it states they cannot guarantee accuracy but I would not have bought if I was not told they had a report already available they flat lied all the way around

This company erroneously charged me a monthly bill without providing a single monthly invoice or a statement. I had no idea about the charge until I noticed it accidentally today. They would have kept charging me indefinitely if I hadn't spotted the charge. There was no communication from the company alerting me of continuous membership or service agreement.

I agreed to a $4.95 charge for the search I was performing not a 19.95 charge every month. Twice now I have emailed about accucom trying to pull money out of my account and no response from accucom. Fraudulent business practices

Multiple inaccuracies in my 'file' and although I have made several attempts to 1. Correct the misinformation and/or 2. Remove my 'file' from their database, the unauthorized and misinformed file remains available online.

This company seems disinterested in the accuracy and validity concerning the information that they make publically available.
