Infotracer.com Reviews (%countItem)

I have record (email exchanges) with Infotracer customer service regarding request to remove or opt out personally identifiable information from their website, for fear of online bullying or harassment; but their resolution and response was not satisfactory. Infotracer, without written express permission from me, is collecting, exposing, and selling personal identifying information online.

***?

Infotracer.com Response

To Whomever This May Concern,

I wish to inform the Revdex.com that *** is not an InfoTracer customer and never has been.

I have spoken with our Opt Out Department and they inform me that ***'s request to remove public information from InfoTracer.com was completed on November 12th. I believe if *** had given our team the proper amount of time to grant their request, it would have been handled to ***'s satisfaction. Our team generally works very fast to remove requests for public information removal but we do ask that anyone making a request gives us at least 14 business days to grant their request. This is a courtesy service we offer free of charge for anyone who would like to have their public information removed from our website.

Our Opt Out Policy can be easily accessed here: ***

I did personally check the link that *** submitted and there is no information there. I would ask *** to clear the cache on their browser to ensure they are viewing the most up to date version of the website.

I believe this resolves the issue.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

*** R.

to inform them that I found erroneous and false information displayed in web searches with respect to Accucom's company www.***.com

I am required to provide personally identifiable information that will compromise my identity to a corporation that is knowingly providing false information for sale to third party companies. Accucom and *** has failed to perform due diligence of a case that was expunged. They are making a profit off of false information and requiring information that can be used for identity theft.

Infotracer.com Response

To whomever it may concern,

I wish to inform *** that we do not own or operate ***.com. If *** has an issue with ***.com I recommend contacting the vendor directly.

If *** is referring to the ***.org website, we have an easy automated Opt Out Process which can be located here https://www.***.org/lp_optout.php.

I did a search for ***'s name on ***.org and could not find any records. It is possible that *** has already completed the opt out process there or is referring to another website entirely.

***.org is a non-FCRA website and only provides publicly available data.

You can find this in our Terms of Service here:

I believe this resolves the issue.

Accucom, affiliates, and representatives:I am writing this letter in response to the letter I received from *** on Accucom's behalf. The letter states I indicated I was satisfied with the outcome of this complaint. To provide clarification, I am not satisfied with the outcome. I requested the actions below to be taken in the Revdex.com complaint. The company agreed to remove the information with the disclaimer of their terms and conditions for their customers. Those terms leave the door open for this to happen again, it.e. the data may reappear and Accucom will blame the unnamed vendor. I will only find out when I get rejected for housing IF the housing agency relies on your companies services. I do not have the money to undue the damage (missed employment opportunities, housing opportunities, etc.) this way of doing business your company has chosen. I have repeatedly tried to speak with someone in regards to correcting some information on my son's background check information but only get false promises and lies. I began this process in September by filling out the "opt out form" provided by everify. I faxed it to the number provided on the form. The instructions said they would notify me of receipt of the documents. After over a month I called to verify if they had received the documentation. I got several different excuses and finally they said I had the wrong fax number even though it was the one they had provided me. I then faxed the form to the new number. I called back (please note you are on hold for at least 15 - 30 minutes and never talk to the same person) they assured me it would be taken care of that day. That was on 10/13. Each day sign up for the service, run the report and nothing has changed. When I call and get either ***, Victoria or *** they assure me "***" is tasking care of it now. When I ask to speak to "***" they say she is either in a meeting, at lunch or gone for the day.

Since the end of March 2017, a family member and I have been trying to have our information removed from eVerify.com. We each sent an opt out form and a copy of our ID card by certified mail to Opt Out Compliance Dept., PO Box 130369, Boston, MA 02113. Later we each received a green return receipt dated March 30 and signed by ***. eVerify.com states, "Please allow upwards of 30 days for us to fully process your Data Removal Request." Over 30 days passed and our information hadn't been removed. I later called *** several times. Our names were removed on June 27 from the Name Search section, but our address and my family member's name was still appearing in the Address Search section. I again had to call several times. Eventually *** emailed me and said she would contact the tech team for help. She last emailed me on August 29. On September 14, I called and said our address was still appearing. I was told that our address had been removed and to send a link to what I was seeing. On September 16, I saw that our address was no longer appearing. However, as of September 20, I see that our address is again appearing. On September 24, I called and complained. I was told that an email would be sent to ***. I also sent an email to *** with the URL of the address page and a screenshot of what I was seeing.

Infotracer.com Response

To whomever it may concern,

I would like to inform the Revdex.com that *** and I have personally communicated through email about the removal of ***’s address. I let *** know that I would reach out to our technical team for further assistance in regards to the removal of the address. *** was informed that opt outs can sometimes take up to 30 days.
On September 16th *** informed me that the address was no longer listed on eVerify.com and that a search on ***'s end confirmed that it had been removed.
If *** has found information on eVerify.com once again, *** is welcome to contact me directly as we have communicated before. Alternatively if *** prefers, any links or screenshots can be provided here through the Revdex.com.
Please note that eVerify.com deals with publicly available information. We offer removal services free of charge but we cannot guarantee that anyone's public information will not be made available again.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #***. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.

On September 16, I did send an email to eVerify.com saying that my address and family member's name were no longer appearing in the Address Search section. However, a few days later, I saw that the information was appearing again. I then sent another email to eVerify.com. I do not know if *** read this email since she does not reference it in her response. As of this writing, I see that my address and family member's name is no longer appearing in the Address Search section.

*** states that she and I have emailed each other. All my correspondence was addressed to and signed by someone named ***, not ***. However, I assume *** read the emails.

My removal request took over five months--much, much longer than 30 days.

If my family's information appears again on eVerify.com, I will contact them again.

Regards

I opted-out of everify.com when my name was listed as a relative on the locatefamily.com website found by a Google search of my relative's phone number (no spaces between the numbers). At that website, in a square, was his address and phone number. Below it, were two boxes: you can leave a public message, or get a background report from everify.com. You did not have to get a background report, my name was there. Because I live at that address, I wanted to opt-out. My old legal name was removed as well as both of my relatives at everify.com, I do not remember the steps I took: I probably left a message; I did not use an opt-out form. About a month later, I searched my old legal name on Google. There was a URL by everify.com with my name, middle inital, and a mugshot of a man. I did not like it at all, and sent a message to everify.com. on their website. They responded quickly to my message in an e-mail. We will be with you in 24 hours. In my message, I asked for equal treatment: could they send names of others who they have done this to? I got frustrated with their slow reply, and sent many e-mails: you did not do this to my relatives, I legally changed my name over a year ago, here is my legal name change document, you cannot find me on the web - where did you get this out-dated infomation?, your opt-out was easy - try not to make this complicated, just because you share an office with peoplecheckpro.com, try to avoid using infopay.com because they are taking too long with my problem there, remove only the middle initial from the URL to look like other opt-outs. Everify.com requested an opt-out using FAX/Mail and drivers license as proof of identification. I left a phone message for everify.com, but they never called me back. Infopay.com did e-mail and call me: they confirmed that I opted-out of everify.com, but they could not change the URL.

I've repeatedly tried to get Accucom corp to stop publishing and selling my personal information and they have not been responsive to my requests. I have mailed them all the forms they asked for over a month ago and the database entries are still not removed. They make it very difficult to get this done, even if you are a victim of identity theft or have been stalked or harassed due to their negligence to remove the data. I do not consent to my private information being published or sold.

I have contacted eVerify.com , PUBLIC RECORDS DIRECTORY and Accucom since 2015 multiple times, since they are they same company under business corporations Inc listings. I have sent them signed and dated documentation information several months ago of the following items by mail , fax and email.. 1. An Everify opt-out form 2. A photo copy of my driver license 3. A List of addresses, phone numbers, names and other personal information 3. A FL State Department confidentiality Exemption form 3. Also I advised them of identity fraud and theft report which I filed with the Local ,State and Federal Law Enforcement, Federal Trade Commission Agencies.

I went here to look up some info on someone and signed up for trial for $1. the info I got was useless and had nothing it promised. I cancelled that same day. I have been charged on my credit card 19.95 every month for 6 months now . This company is terrible do not waste your time or even a $1 they will find a way to say you never cancelled and think it is justified to charge this amount of money for no info.
