This company engages in unethical and fraudulent practices. I could not get any information beyond addresses even though they had taken $20 of my money. They claim that you have unlimited access to information but you do not unless you have the premium subscription (another fee). They also claim they will give you information on someone if you send them information on that person by email but they would not respond to those requests.I tried calling "Amber" on the phone for a report on a person, and she never delivered even though one was promised. So for $20, I was unable to get the information myself, and was unable to get one-on-one help that is supposed to be available. Moreover, they will not give you your money back for anything. Stay away from this thieving company. *** will do a lot more for you than Infotracer. The information that IS provided on people is what most can find easily but on Infotracer, most of such information is outdated and inaccurate. This company really needs to be investigated.

Website is a scam. I filled out their form seeking information on some one & jumped through every hoop. It said my info was ready & I paid $4.95 FOR NOTHING- NO REPORT. I immediately called to cancel & the 1st girl hung up on me. Then I sent 2 or 3 email requests to cancel & called again & spoke to ***. I don't trust that they will remove my inquiry & data asap.

Just found this information on their website as well.

A+ with the Revdex.com? Really? What a joke the Revdex.com has become. Clearly this company is paying the Revdex.com for their rating. I ordered a report on myself through one of their many sites: RecordFinder.com on the promise that they found my information and had information in all the categories I was interested in. After I paid the $14.95 for this report and 1 Month of "Unlimited Reports", magically the report wasn't there and they wanted me to search again, so I did, but NOW they want me to pay and ADDITIONAL $18 for this single report. Gee, they never mentioned that when I signed up, wonder why? I have contacted my credit card company and reported the charge as Fraudulent.

What about that Revdex.com? Does that sound A+ to you?

I paid the fee to access information as the website search told me that this site had information about my family member that I was looking to obtain. Once I entered my credit card information and paid the fee, the site told me that there was no information regarding this person, not even an address available. I was completely cheated out of any information after I paid the fee. This was a completely dishonest way to get me to pay a fee to gain access to information that was stated to be available (6 records and an address for this person) only to pay and be told there was no information available whatsoever. It was a complete scam. After I paid the initial fee and redirected to a page where I was told there was no longer any available information for this person I was offered to pay an additional $18 for “premium” additional access which may lead to more information on known family of this person. A total scam.

To whom it may concern, I wish to inform this customer that the preliminary search accesses a database to confirm information exists on the individual. This information is provided as reference material. Once a customer enters our member’s area, they are presented with several different search types to investigate their search subject thoroughly. In addition, we are happy to offer free search assistance for all our customers. Our team of search experts is available 24/7 to help customers find information. InfoTracer.com provides optional purchasing of premium data as an added value to our services. These premium reports come from a different data partner, which is why we require the extra fee of only $18.00. Premium reports are completely optional, and customers do not have to purchase them. We simply offer them as a convenient addition to our regular services. Customers may still run as many searches as they want within the InfoTracer.com unlimited member's area. Since the customer remained dissatisfied, the charge for $4.95 has been refunded on January 06, 2020. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to process. I believe this resolves the issue. Sincerely, ***. Assistant Customer Care Manager

Accucom Corporation is the owner of RecordsFinder.com, which purports to provide subscribers with background information about individuals. After searching for an individual, RecordsFinder advertises several tailored results that the search yielded, but the results only accessible once a fee is paid. Once the fee is paid, its is apparent that the purported results of the search were false and no records are available.

I called RecordsFinder twice to inquire about the lack of search results for two individuals, both whom I know have criminal records that should be available. I was told by the operator that my experience was the way their website is designed to operate in that search results are never retrievable and the only product they offer is a general background report that users only have access to if they call the company. It was apparent the operator had encountered customers like me before because they provided me with a generic response that the way their service works is outlined in the terms and conditions to which I had agreed and that RecordsFinder assumed I had read and understood those terms. RecordsFinder is thus conducting false advertising and classic bait and switch business tactics, has an unconscionable contract of adhesion, and should be held accountable.

When I performed a search on the person I was looking for (who I know for a fact has a public record of court cases and an arrest) the “report” they wanted me to buy for $3.99 said they’d found several records pertaining to her, and has included identifiers of her age, and city, both of which I know to be accurate. Once I purchased the report, their search said they turned up NO INFORMATION on her. I want a refund.

I used recordsfinder services initially by error while attempting to access the *** court online services.

In February 2019, when I first became aware that *** is using my information in their advertisement without my permission, I promptly contacted their customer service representative by telephone who directed me to complete their online form, with a promise that my information will be deleted without any further action required.

In nine months, I have contacted recordsfinder seven (7) different times and each time, I have been directed to complete an online form with further promises that the information will be deleted but the promise only lasted a few days and sometimes only a few hours before the advertisements started all over again. My biggest concern is that the advertisements are entirely negative with captions such as "Would you like to know what she/he is hiding?" No doubt, the captions alone give potential employers the false impression that a person is hiding something sinister. A potential employer is unlikely to look no further than the captions to make hiring decisions and for a current employer to make promotional decisions.

Despite my efforts, recordsfinder, has failed to address my concerns to remove my information and to cease and desist from using any of my information, image or likeness in their advertisements.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***. Please add your rejection comments below. This company is obviously affiliated with recordsfinder. I do not deny contacting their customer service department in February. I also followed the opt out advise by the Representative in February and with each of the follow up contacts not addressed in the response. My concerns are of two fold, if opt out is the solution, then why did my opt out in February and thereafter not solve the problem of having my information removed. Secondly, without the company's guarantee that my information will be removed, another opt out, as a solution to the previous opt outs that did not work, does not give me much comfort. Finally, the fact that the company is receiving so many calls for the same or similar problems should signal to the company and their affiliate recordsfinder that they business model and or methods needs modification, reform or close out. I appreciate the company's response, but without any guarantee, a more permanent solution other than simply removing my information for a day or so only to reactivate will be the way to resolve the issue. Sincerely.

+1

For the last several months, whenever I use the internet to view and/or respond to e-mails, RecordsFinder.com transmits a banner in the lower right of the screen, covering what I'm reading or writing, about the criminal records of a ***. I don't know who *** is, I'm not interested in his criminal record and I have no account with RecordsFinder.com. I have tried to send a message to RecordsFinder.com, but the message doesn't go through without an account number or order number....I have neither. It started out as an occasional annoyance; but has increased to several times each and every day. I want it to stop.

How does this company keep an A+ rating. I wanted a record. Their website said they found the record I wanted. I subscribed and it said it had no record. This is a complete bait and switch. I called 800 number to cancel and it is always busy. This is a complete scam. I will also be reporting to my states attorney general. How to they keep and A+ rating???? Look at the reviews they are people just like me who got the bait and switch.

BEWARE! Accucom is the parent company of ***). I was researching an individual's record and wanted to get more detailed information. Due to my knowledge of said individual and the results *** reported lining up accurately I purchased the report via their website. However, upon completion of the purchase, the report provided ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION on the individual.
I truly do not understand how the initial search results show the number of records for the individual's criminal charges and arrest record, but the report has zero information on file. The information is public information, so if this website was a valid background website the details would have lined up.
I reached out for a refund, which I am sure I will not receive because companies like this have no interest in consumer relationships. So, my hope is to STOP YOU before you waste the money! DO NOT BUY anything from *** or any other reporting services they offer. In fact, I suggest avoiding any consumer product offered by Accucom/CIS Worldwide/***. Also, to provide additional clarification - I am aware of how background/public record companies such as these work which is why I read their terms and conditions and membership breakdown before making the purchase. Their documentation is worded to trick consumers by omission and wording that is absolutely misleading due to context.
Again PLEASE BEWARE!

I've opted out of this companies subsidiary site infotracer.com numerous times since it displays my personal information and has been regardless of how I've opted out.
Every time I opt out through their website, I get a confirmation email stating that my information will be removed, and I check the site 30 days later and its still there. Ive contacted customer service, they stated I had to fax in a request with my photo ID and wait 30 days until my information was removed permanently. I did as instructed and the information is still there, and I faxed in the paperwork 3 months ago.
I wish I wouldn't have done that since it seems they are now using the information from my drivers license to resell my private information to other companies, and judging by the number of complaints levied against them its obvious they're not stopping this practice, There is at least one complaint per day about this company on the Revdex.com website, all for the same reason.

To whom it may concern,I've already filed another complaint earlier where you said you were going to remove my personal information. It popped up again less than a week later. You're telling me you're not responsible for the information resurfacing. My response is, how come every other website that divulges my personal information manages to leave it off when I request it, and you don't? You've also said that if it resurfaces to contact you. I did. You never removed it, so I had to file another complaint with the Revdex.com.Here's what I need. Your full name, not just ***. You'll also need to take this to the highest up in your company who can solve the problem, because if not? The next step will be opening up another complaint, as well as contacting the attorney general of the state of ***, as well as the FTC, as well as any other organization that I think of which will make you realize the serious of this matter.Your refusal to cooperate will only make my case look stronger should I decide to pursue legal action, and I will, if you don't cooperate. I've had stalking/personal safety issues due to the fact that you are the ONLY website who still has my personal information listed after I've told you to remove it numerous times.I'm keeping screenshots of all correspondence, including all contact I've made with you, your previous promises of removing my information (of which you never did) and your lack of accountability when you say you have no control over what pops up on your website. You should fire your web designer then, since the only way it would resurface is if he or she adds it. To tell me its out of your control is a flat out lie, it doesn't just pop up automatically.Based on your "F" rating and all the complaints lodged against you I'm hoping the Revdex.com posts this comment so others who's safety you've compromised will also file complaints with the FTC and the attorney general of the state of ***. If I have to file ANOTHER complaint against you, any other governmental organization that I've also found governs this, I'll make sure to put that in the comments as well, and will happily tell anybody else you jerk around to also file a complaint with said authorities.GOVERN YOURSELF ACCORDINGLY!!To the Revdex.com...thank you for all your help.

Total ripoff. Useless results. They will charge you 24.95 if you don’t opt out after deceivingly cheap $2.95 trial. To summarize they totally rip you off and provide literally nothing. This site should be shut down.

Accucom/CIS Nationwide, via their subsidiary Infotracer/Infopay, does not honor opt-out requests from their database. The tool located at *** is MISLEADING. Submitting a data removal request from this form only excludes records from this tool’s search, which is not site-wide; records removed through this opt-out tool STILL APPEAR in paid search results. After contacting Customer Service, an agent directs you to fill out a paper request, fax it in along with a photocopy of your government ID, then wait for as long as 30 days for the request to be processed. Not only is this process INSULTING and unnecessarily time-consuming, it is basically a demand to submit even more personal information to a website that PURPOSEFULLY DECEIVES you when you try to remove personal data they ALREADY have. Also It is very clear from the numerous other complaints about this subject they do not honor those paper removal requests either. Customer service will not direct you to any services other than the opt-out tool, nor will any contact on the website respond to opt-out requests. This company is tricking people into believing their information was removed from their database when that is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. Having my information on this website puts me in physical danger and has impaired my mental health and ability to function. I WANT MY DATA REMOVED FROM THIS WEBSITE!

I attempted to remove my personal information from *** which is owned and is a subsidiary of this company via their link on their actual website with a false title that says "Remove My Data" when I went to remove my data it says that "no data was found" but when you search my name, CLEARLY they are still selling my name and my information.

I then wrote the company and they said that it will take A MONTH and I have to write another department and fill out paperwork to get my info ACTUALLY REMOVED. This is illegal and shows this company is falsely stating that they remove your info but unethically are still selling it.

This is where this gets dangerous, I have a stalker and I was given court ordered protection over my address and every other site has removed my info immediately. If my young child or my family is in any way harmed it's this companies fault and others like it for using my info to make a few bucks while endangering minors, myself and my family.

My brother *** also tried to remove his information and the link said that there would be a confirmation email sent to his email *** and there was no confirmation email. This was fake.

I have included emails and names as I know that Revdex.com will redact any personal information but I have to put it here so this unethical company *** cannot say there were no emails between them and myself.

Below is the correspondence. I WILL NOT jump through hoops. My information needs to be removed now as this company claims on the front page of their website. ***

To whom it may concern, I wish to reiterate that ***’s information, as we are aware of it, has been removed from Infotracer.com. *** should make sure to clear the cache and cookies stored on the browser, as sometimes previous searches from a site can be stored in the cache. *** is also free to use our automated opt out form at any time to remove information. It is located here: *** Thank you. Sincerely, ***.

Accucom, via their subsidiary Infotracer/Infopay, does not honor opt-out requests from their database. The tool located at *** simply does not work - there are records that will appear in paid search results that do not appear in the opt-out tool's search results. If presented with this problem, Customer Service will direct you to fill out a paper request to be opted-out, fax it in along with a photocopy of your government ID, then to wait for as long as 30 days for the request to be processed. This is an insultingly difficult process and it should not take anywhere close to 30 days to honor the request, but that's irrelevant because regardless of how long you wait, the request will not be honored anyway. I have faxed in removal requests in May 2018 which have still not yet been honored.

Calling their customer support line is 100% futile. Their own employees not only DO NOT UNDERSTAND the opt-out process, and they are seemingly incapable of getting in touch with the "opt-out department." They will direct you to email ***, but that email address is not monitored and I have NEVER ONCE received a response from that address, and neither has any member of Infotracer's customer support team. They are powerless to connect you to anyone who is capable of actually solving your problem and not even the highest "supervisor" you can get on the line will be able to help you.

In the event that they DO attempt to "honor" an opt-out request, all they actually do is blacklist the ability to perform specific searches within the site's tool instead of actually deleting the record. So if your name was John Doe, for example, they will make it so that performing a search of John Doe in *** will return a link to ***. However, if you search for something like "Joh Doe," you will see that the result is still present in the database. If you complain about that, they'll just blacklist "Joh Doe," but searching for "Jo Doe" or "J Doe" or "John Do" will still return the record. They NEVER ACTUALLY DELETE THE RECORD. If you have a direct link to the record preserved, it will continue to work, even after they have blacklisted the search result. This does not constitute a true opt out. It leads me to believe their entire database is structured in such a way that no one there is even aware of how to actually perform an opt out?

This company is a scam. I would not IMAGINE spending money on their products or services. It's embarrassing that they are rated A+ with the Revdex.com.

To whomever it may concern, After careful review of this complaint, and our online system, I can find no communication between *** and our Dedicated Customer Care Team regarding the Opt-Out request. I was unable to find an Opt-Out form faxed on the removal request matching ***’s name. It is possible that *** may have contacted us under a different email address or name or number. In which case, I would not have been able to locate the communication. I wish to inform *** that for our manual Opt-Out process, we ask for identification for all data removal requests. The ID will ensure that we have matched the correct information to that individual being removed. Our Opt-Out Policy states it may take 30 days to process the removal request as we receive a high volume of opt-out requests every day. Since then, we have created a new Opt-Out tool for our consumers. The consumer will only need to fill out an online form to have their information removed. On our end, we review the request within 2-3 business days and delete the information that was submitted. I have personally tested our automated Opt-Out tool and have found that it is still working properly. The automated opt out tool can be found here: *** I would like to inform *** that we cannot guarantee that anyone's public information will not be made available again. Please note that neither the automated opt out tool nor our dedicated opt out team members will remove any/all variations of a name. For instance, if John Doe asks us to remove his name and only his name, we will not remove Joh Doe, unless it is specifically requested. If *** feels other variations of their name are appearing, *** needs to make us aware of that so we can remove any/all information matching him. We simply are unable to guess what records might belong to a person if that information is missing from the request. I recommend *** practice due diligence in searching for any information that might appear on ***’s name to ensure that it is all removed. Information removal is a service we offer to anyone free of charge. However, we must have all the required information in order to perform a proper removal. *** is welcome to get in touch with our opt out specialists directly at *** at any time to discuss removal of their information. ***'s information is removed, and an email confirmation has been sent on August 30, 2019. I believe this resolves your issue. Sincerely, *** Customer Care Team

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***. Please add your rejection comments below. This response is not even remotely satisfactory. The opt-out requests were, in fact, made for a different name and via a different email address. That is not material to the issue, because I should not have to submit a complaint with the Revdex.com in order to have my opt-out request honored. You should be honoring all opt-out requests from all individuals, via the normal channels.Reiterating your organization's ridiculous policies that are much stricter than those of your competitors does not make them any more acceptable. I should not have to submit any form of government identification to conduct an opt-out, and the very existence of your online opt-out tool (if it actually worked) proves that it's unnecessary.Your online opt-out tool may work sometimes, but it does not work ALL the time. As of this moment, I can find search results for at least three individuals, none of which can be removed via your online opt-out tool, all of whom have requested an opt-out by all available channels. I will not provide the names of these individuals in this complaint but evidence of this HAS been sent to your support staff and your opt-out department, neither of which has responded to or even demonstrated an understanding of the situation.Your response to my "John Doe" example also demonstrates a serious misunderstanding the problem. The problem is not that records for "Joh Doe" are not being removed after requesting an opt out for "John Doe". It's that PERFORMING A SEARCH for "Joh Doe" will still return the identical, SUPPOSEDLY DELETED record for "John Doe," thereby proving that the record was NEVER ACTUALLY DELETED, and merely blacklisted from the search results for a specific string. This does NOT constitute an opt-out. When "John Doe" requests an opt out, it shouldn't matter what you search for - it should never turn up, under any circumstances, because his information should be DELETED FROM YOUR DATABASE ENTIRELY. [Please not this is not a different person named "John Doe", either.] Again, I have provided proof of this issue to your support staff and opt-out department and never received a response.Regards

The company simply does not honor opt-out requests. Their online tool flat out doesn't work (listings that appear in search results do not appear in opt-out results), they repeatedly ignore mailed/faxed requests to opt-out (and these requests necessitate you hand over MORE of your personally identifiable information to a company that's openly hostile to your privacy), and their mythical "opt-out department" does not respond to emails and is unreachable by phone, even by the company's own customer support team.

Accucom (including all its subsidiaries) is the epitome of a SCAM.

I signed up for *** - it's a scam DO NOT subscribe. No records found. All information is completely outdated. Only gives you contact information on any search (no background, no criminal record, no court records, etc.). Every search I typed in required an $18 premium up-sell to get "further information." I did pay for one premium search and it came back with no information other than possible name, address, and birth year (the same information the $5 dollar search came up with). What a scam! Consumer be warned. Predatory business practices.

Used their free trial services and cancelled my account only to be billed 3 additional times from that company. They refused to acknowledge of these charges until I mentioned an attorney. They are refusing to refund in full what they stole from my account even after sending picture proof of the theft.

To whomever it may concern, *** contacted our Customer Care Team via email on June 15, and one of our dedicated representatives responded to ***'s concern within 24 hours. Our email representative asked *** for more information regarding ***'s account because we were not able to locate the account with the information given by ***. Unfortunately, *** did not reply until July 19, 2019. On July 19, *** contacted our Customer Care Team via phone. I have reviewed the phone call that *** had with one of our dedicated Customer Care Team Members. The representative told *** that there were two charges for the monthly billing of $19.02, and the representative informed *** that those charges were refunded during their call. Please be advised that I confirmed with our billing processor, and the monthly charge of $19.02 that would have billed on July 15 declined on July 15 and July 17. The charge was billed again on July 19 and settled, and this is the charge that *** saw on July 19. ***'s account was canceled and refunded on July 19, 2019. I have made an additional refund for the trial fee of $3.99 on July 23, 2019. Please allow 3-5 business for the refunds to process. I believe this resolves your issue. Sincerely, ***.
