My experience with IVL made my move the best everI've moved before and moving can be more than stressful but this time with IVL moving was really a breezeThese guys went above and beyond the call of duty to make it a quick easy and affordable experienceI'll surely be recommending this companyI'm actually looking forward to my next move!

Firstly, I went with this company because they had good reviews and a competitive price for my interstate moveIn the end, I paid more than twice the quote and had to deal with different companies because they brokered out the move without telling meThey only honor what is actually in the contract regardless of what their sales people will tell you, which is anything to get you to go with them I would highly recommend you NOT go with this company for the following reasons: - I was told that they would definitely NOT be brokering this move and that they would be moving me themselves (I SPECIFICALLY asked about this since I had been warned about using a broker)NO one at IVL reached out to let me know that the move was brokered and on the day of the move the sales person at IVL claimed to have no idea that the move had been brokered And the really big issues: - Because the sales person incorrectly added a second drop-off (he put it in the wrong state) they now were charging me an additional $for the local part - and if it were up to IVL they would have charged me even more (IVL =$120/hr for local move, other company the brokered it to=$89/hr) - By the end of the move, I paid more than twice what I was quoted (and that was after I negotiated down on the cost per cubic ft.) The sales person did not want to give me a quote by square footage, only by giving a list of items to be movedWhen I insisted on getting a quote by square footage he finally gave one but then recommended that I go with the lower quote (by list of items)This cost per cubic ft for the list of items was significantly higher than the other quote - I had to deal with THREE different companies who had all asked for me to pay them and who were all calling my phone (and were emailing me) -Insurance information options were not sent to me until AFTER the move had already started IVL did "throw it in" at no cost to me, but it's a pretty nominal cost anyways in comparison so that's the absolute least they could have done Although, I didn't have to pay for the insurance, I still ended up paying more than TWICE the "worst case estimate"After the move was complete, I again spoke with someone in customer service who said he would see what else he could do for me in terms of refundHe said he would talk with his team and that I would likely get about $back and have to sign a non-disclosure agreement - meaning that I could not post any negative reviews online)I never saw an email or heard from him again It would have been easier, less stressful and cheaper to have moved each and every item myself...walking backward...on a rainy day...with a [redacted] leg! In closing, DO NOT GO WITH IVL!

This is the third time you have moved us, moving my wife Sharon twice in the pastI can't express how happy I am and grateful to your moving companyWhat a fantastic group of people you have working for youThe three guys that moved us, are great guysThey are so accommodating and professionalThey are a joy to spend the day withNot only does your company make moving easy and stress free for a family, it is such a joy to find a company that is not giving me hassle, with poor workmanship and trying to beat me for every dollarIn addition to how wonderful these guys are and how great your company is, I can't believe your pricesThey are not just fair, they are more than fairIn fact, after every move, I wonder if I paid you enoughI will always use your company to move and have recommended you to all my contacts and people who ask me about getting a moverThanks for everything!

This company is filled with dishonesty - at every step of the way, in every department. They are exploiting many of their employees and sub-contracting the majority of the move, which they promise not to do. We are currently looking into our options for litigation. I have never interacted with so many dishonest and terrible individuals. Please, please, please, avoid them and recognize that they have many false, paid-for reviews online. It should not be legal what this company does to people, including some of their own employees. Our story: Our family was stranded 4 weeks ago at 3:00 a.m. with a huge number of our items still left sitting on the sidewalk before we had to be out of our house the next day for the new owners. We watched our moving truck pull away after being told (at 2:30 a.m.) that they actually would not have room after all in the truck (because it had been filled with other items from previous moves before they got to us). We had to cancel our flights, my husband had to rent a Penske truck at 7:00 a.m. for an additional $2000, get the help of our neighbors to fill it with the items the company couldn't fit, and drive across the country by himself. And though our move was not even completed, we were charged over $3000 more than the initial estimate that we had to pay before the men left our house at 3:00 a.m. The truck arrived 1.5 days after it was scheduled and had only two people in it. They were both nice, hard-working young men who are clearly being exploited. They were so late getting to us because the company had thrown two or three other "urgent" jobs at them at the last minute before us. In fact, we learned they had finished another move at 3:00 a.m. the previous evening, then had another morning move, then came to us. These men had not been getting proper sleep and then were driving a 26' truck through the night, putting themselves and everyone else on the roads at risk. Our two movers proceeded to phone a number of local men to help pack our home many of whom clearly had no prior experience packing. Who knows the condition our items will be in (if we ever even receive them). It has now been a month since we were left in DC at 3:00 in the morning. We have been living in Seattle with our three young children in an empty house. All of our repeated calls and emails are either ignored or essentially dismissed as we're passed [redacted] one person to another, and told sarcastically that "they don't have tracking devices on their trucks". We finally learned our items sat in a warehouse in the DC area for weeks. Only today did we finally receive a call from the driver from the truck. The driver works for a separate moving company (not for IVL), and just told me that the truck is too large to come directly to our home. He said the company will call to give us the additional cost of a shuttle truck to actually get our items to our home. Or we can come meet him in a parking lot with our own rented truck and do everything else ourselves, but will still owe the initial amount of the outstanding balance - which will only be accepted in cash. So although the address of our new house has been in the system this entire time, and we paid for a full pack, move and unpack (which means unpacking with a full team on the other side and re-assembling furniture), we will now be expected to pay additional money that we were never informed of to get our items to our home at all. The driver said if we fail to pay the remaining balance in cash, he will hold our items in an undisclosed location (I imagine eventually to be auctioned-off?). This has truly been a nightmare from the start. Again, do not believe any other reviews you come across. People have been paid to post them. Do not hire this company. I very much hope they fail and any honest employees they do have can find work elsewhere where they will be treated well and fairly. - [redacted] and [redacted] (And our three children, ages, 2, 5, and 8, who would very much like to see some of their toys again one day)

I had a terrible experience with International Van LinesThey showed up late, without the right packing suppliesWe ended up doing most of the packing ourselves because they didn't have time, or enough people for the jobThey packed things terribly, and I had thousands of dollars of damage and lost itemsThey were unresponsive, threatening and abusiveThe movers on the delivery end said they had rarely ever seen things so badly packedThey broke things in the apartment I moved out of, and were rude to the building workers (and me)Things were stolen and brokenIt was truly a heartbreaking experience to lose so many family heirlooms

I had a very positive experience with International Van LinesThe staff was extremely helpful in getting me organized with boxes, etcThe movers arrived on time, were very organized and everything went very smoothlyAll the staff are very friendly and easy to work withWould highly recommend them to others, in fact I did so, and my friend is also very happy with the company

ABSOLUTELY GREATIVL was fantastic through the entire moving processThe person helping us in the office was so helpful, answered all questions clearly, and set everything up quickly and flawlesslyThe movers were extremely efficientThey packed up my entire apartment, and even swept the floorsI kept adding more to the load they needed to pack and move, and they just said, "no problem" every timeThese guys could not have been nicerThey knew exactly what they were doing, and made the pain of moving so quick and easyHIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM

This was the worst experience I ever had with a moving companyThe staff was incredibly unprofessional and there was a great deal of miscommunication between those in the logistics departmentI received my items a week later than was estimated by the Logistics ManagerAfter disclosing these issues with a supervisor, I was asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement if I wanted a reduced price given their errorsThe supervisor required signature of the NDA prior to receipt of my itemsI had so much distrust in their lack of professionalism that I did not sign the NDAThis move was horrible until the very endA time estimate could not be provided on the day of the move and my final balance due was incorrect, and higher than documented on my initial pick-upI do not recommend this company to anyone

International Van Lines was great from the start of the moving process to the endI was assisting an elderly relative who didn't want to move, but reluctantly had to moveWhen I made changes to the original request, International Van Lines addressed the changes immediately and to my satisfactionThis was not an easy moveMoving from an apartment in NYC to MarylandInternational Van Lines made the process a smooth oneAn extremely reputable and professional moving companyI would recommend them to anyoneThank you!!!

Disastrous experience! Pick/up was 1/hours late (I had to meet men at a deserted storage facility at 8:pm and didn't leave there until 11pm - I am a single woman!)I come to find out from one of the movers (a subontractor - New Life Transport) that they weren't even told about my pickup until 5pm that evening after I had been told early that morning that my pickup would be around 1pm! Once there they attempted to charge me DOUBLE the agreed price, I told them to forget it and to leave, then they came down to 'only' $more than what was agreed uponThe drivers never filled out or gave me an inventory list (which is in violation of Federal Regulation) which their 'boss' (the sub-contractor) on the phone promised me he would send meI continually called to get the the paperwork and was given the run around each time and LIED TO about when my things would be loaded onto the truck from a warehouse in New JerseyAfter a dozen or so calls and a threat of filing a formal complaint to the FMSCA I was told my things would be here first thing Monday amDidn't happen! Kept getting calls that they were delayed and would be to me in the afternoonHah! Got a call at 6:that they weren't coming until the next dayIt took them days to bring my things! Two chairs, bathroom cabinet, a piece of exercise equipment and a huge plastic bin of valuable handmade costumes all missing!!!!!! They even tried to give me items that weren't mineYou can be sure I WILL be filing a formal complaint with the FMSCA! Also come to find out that Yelp posted a warning that this company was caught trying to pay people for positive reviews

NIGHTMARE! I would never use International again They started out great with all the right answers, but quickly fell short I was promised delivery of my belongings on a Thursday (or Friday at latest), and then was told Saturday or Sunday Finally told Sunday between 12- Received a call at 3:on Sunday from a driver from ANOTHER COMPANY saying he was subcontracted to deliver and would be at my home at 9:00am Monday At 6:30pm on Monday, they showed up with a truck full of smashed boxes that got further destroyed as the movers threw them into my garage Sent president of company an email detailing the entire expereince Totally ignored Could not get anyone to respond to email or phone calls HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I used these guys last week, it is the best money I have ever spentThe weather was horrible and I thought that they would call to cancel the move (seriously the weather was really bad), but they arrived right on timeThey worked hard, quick and were very professional
I'm not usually the kind of person that writes reviews, but after seeing them in action they definitely deserve oneI wish I could give them more than starsHighly recommended

We have used International Van Lines twice nowThey helped move us in November helping to make an extremely stressful day less stressful and more recently collecting and delivering a sofa at quite short noticeI would and have recommended this company to others and will continue to use them in the future

I cannot express how amazing these guys wereI had a last minute cancellation/rescheduling and they were so accommodating and professionalThey were also the best rate I could find in townQuick, professional, friendlyCan't ask for a better experience!
