Interstate National Dealer Services Reviews (%countItem)

All of these reviews are correct. This is one of the worst companies I have ever have dealt with in my life. I have been paying my car's extended warranty for almost 2 years (22 months) with automatic payments. I travel out of town often and during that time my card expired. They canceled my policy and would not let me reinstate it. I had 2 payments left to finish my contract. I paid over $4000 in payments. They told me it's not possible to reinstate a contract!!! not possible. So they took $4000 in payments and I am left with nothing. I have never had such bad service. They are scam artists! They gave me legal jargon as to why they can't do it. I have never had such a bad experience with a company in your life. SCAMMMMMM!!!!!

Good afternoon Mr.,
In response your Revdex.com inquiry, we have verified our records reflected a starting mileage of 10 with an expiration mileage of 12,010. When reviewing the application page, it shows the accurate starting mileage as 46,555 for 12 months/12,000 miles. Our office was able to successfully update your records which now show an expiration date of 12/7/2019 or mileage of 58,555.
One of the items the repair facility called in (step not working) did not qualify for coverage as they were able to take it apart and clean it. There were not parts replaced. The TV elevator not staying down was due to a broken bracket from metal fatigue. Under your exclusions letter B line #18-Metal supports are excluded for coverage. Your repair facility also advised us of a storage compartment hinge coming loose due to rubber coming apart. The contract excludes coverage for rubber under your exclusions letter B line#11. The only item that was eligible for coverage was the LP regulator. Unfortunately, the cost of this repair fell below your $500.00 deductible not permitting us to authorize the claim

Xtra Supreme plan is a total ripoff. They say they pay for failures of covered parts. Make sure you read their definition of Failure. It does not include wear and tear, which is the most common cause for failure. It also won't repair a covered part if that part was damaged as a result of the failure of another non covered part.

Don't think you're safe because the plan name is called Xtra Supreme. It means the customer pays Extra, and the policy is a Supreme con.

I made a mistake while using my Interstate warranty and I accidentally forgot to have my mechanic call Interstate before we replaced my steering box. I reached out to Interstate to see if I could still input a claim, and while it was a several-month process which required an escalation to
Deirdre *** Deirdre was able to go ahead and approve my claim. Deirdre's work on my behalf made them deserve a 5 star customer service rating. Thank you Deirdre!

Extended Warranty Does Not Cover Valid Claim
Purchased an extended warranty from INDS for a 2016 Keystone Hideout travel trailer. Contract specifically lists "wheel bearings" as being a covered item. On May 17, 2019, the wheel bearing on our travel trailer went out on the way back from a cross-country trip. We incurred an expense of $550 to repair the wheel bearing. We filed a claim with this company and were told that the wheel bearing would not be covered since it is a "wear and tear item".

Desired Outcome

The claim should be paid since it is mentioned in the contract. If they do not pay the claim, then I would like this company to be forced to remove false statements from their contracts.

Interstate National Dealer Services Response • Jul 08, 2019

In response to Revdex.com complaint case # XXXXXXXX - Contract # XXXXXXX-TT
Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc.("Interstate") d/b/a Revolos received a complaint from contract holder, *** regarding a claim denial.

Although, Ms. contract lists wheel bearings as a covered component, the contract does not provide coverage for components/parts that are "worn out". This customer's repair facility stated that the cause of the unit concerns was its wheel bearings and that the condition of those wheel bearing were "worn out". The Terms & Conditions of Ms. contract defines a Failure as follows:

"Failure ... refers to the Failure of a defective part or faulty workmanship as supplied by the Manufacturer or Dealer but does not include gradual reduction in operating performance due to wear and tear."

Based on the contract language above, a gradual reduction in operating performance due to wear and tear does not constitute a mechanical failure. Therefore, Ms. wheel bearing claim was denied. Interstate d/b/a Revolos adjudicated the claim based on the shop's diagnosis and according to the terms and conditions of the contract that Ms. purchased.

Revolos has addressed this customer's complaint and requests that it be closed.

Customer Response • Jul 09, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I would like to point out that Revolos, or whatever name this company goes by, has provided inaccurate details. My husband spoke to the repair facility immediately (within 5 minutes) after the repair technician was contacted by Revolos. The technician said that Revolos had asked him what the problem had been and the repair technician said "the customer told me that the wheel bearing went out". The technician confirmed that he was just repeating to Revolos what we had said to him and that Revolos never asked him what HIS professional opinion was on what caused the bearing to fail. He mentioned that the entire conversation took approximately 30 seconds and Revolos asked NO questions about what caused the wheel bearing to fail, which he thought was unusual. There is no possible way that Revolos could make any kind of valid determination based on the information that was given to them by the repair facility. Their claim of anything different is outright fabrication. Since the wheel bearings were checked and packed before this trip, I do not believe that any failure is due to "wear and tear". Also, if they are claiming that the cause of the problem was due to "wear and tear", why is it that the other three wheel bearings (same age and serviced at the same time), were examined and found to be fine? There is a huge amount of bad reviews and consumer fraud alert websites on the internet about this company because they are denying claims, some almost identical or very similar to ours. It certainly bears looking into. Over and over, it appears from what their clients and former clients are saying, that they deny legitimate claims and, in our case, they did not even tell the truth about the information that was provided by the repair facility. They move to deny a claim based on incomplete information and then they are not truthful about the information that they receive. We asked them for an explanation of when a wheel bearing would be covered if it isn't covered for wear and tear and the notation that they made in their response above is the first time that they have answered this question. They also don't return telephone calls after leaving multiple messages.

I have purchased and paid for a warranty through warranty direct and I now find they are out of business...what happens to my warranty?
Apparently warranty direct is out of business and I have a warranty with them...What happens next? Is another company taking the warranty over or will I be reimbursed for the cost of the warranty?

Desired Outcome

I would either like a refund or that the original warranty will be handled by another company

Customer Response • Jul 04, 2019

I have been in touch with warranty direct and they acknowledge that although they are out of business, any warranties will remain in effect until expiration date as per the company who is sister to warranty direct...thank you for your assistance in this matter

We bought a extended warranty from Interstate National Dealer services. back in 5/23/2018 for our 2009 Cedar Creek 40cfl camper. as it is a destination trailer and can not go down the road to a repair shop.Last November 2018.The Mobile repair company and I submitted a bunch of parts for some issues to repair the camper. The parts were denied for the Central air and heater. instead We were told by their tech support the only part that will be approved would be the thermostat. As that is what it needed to work. We tried to explain that was not going to fix the issue. Do to the weather in Minnesota in November the parts were not able to be installed till spring. we installed the approved parts. And the central air and heater still does not work. As well as the toilet still has issues. as the wrong parts were approved for that as well. The repair company refuses to return the labor and the cost of said parts as they are now used parts and can not be resold as new. along with the time it cost to install said parts. do to this the warranty company refuses to work with him. and insists we find another company to finish the repair. To top it all off their tech department sent him out to get more information as they could not find the part numbers. the part numbers were the manufactures part numbers. which is not costing me 500.00 dollars for them sending him out to a campground to get information they said after they didn't need.We have tried to work with them and All I have gotten is disrespect and criticism. And Stress which due to my health issues am not suppose to have.
Product_Or_Service: Extended Warranty
Account_Number: XXXXXXXX-TT

Desired Outcome

Repair Would like my camper repaired as needed and have the parts replace to do so. And the 500.00 dollar service fee. paid and to be able to use the mobile repair company that started the repair. other wise my full amount for the warranty contact reimbursed with out anything deducted.

In response to Revdex.com complaint case # XXXXXXXXX - Contract # XXXXXXXX-TT
Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc. ("Interstate") d/b/a Revolos received a complaint from contract holder, *** D. *** regarding a claim.

Revolos has done it's due diligence to resolve the discrepancies regarding your repairs with the mobile repair facility that you selected to complete the repairs but could not reach a resolution.

However, in reviewing your claim history, we noticed that there has been an update since the Revdex.com complaint that you submitted on 5/29/19. On 6/10/19, we authorized a second claim in the amount of $1,569.56 to supplement the repairs that were performed on your toilet and your front and rear air conditioning units, as well. As the claims administrator of your vehicle service contract, Interstate d/b/a Revolos makes claim authorizations based on the terms and conditions of your contract. Per the terms and conditions of your contract, the administrator will pay on behalf of or reimburse you the reasonable costs to repair or replace the parts included in your coverage that have failed. Reasonable cost is based on national labor guides to calculate labor hours. In addition, when determining parts pricing, we leverage multiple resources to ensure we are finding the most reasonable cost. When adding that to the first claim that was filed under your contract, Interstate d/b/a Revolos has authorized a total amount of $2,887.09 in repairs. This amount is considered reasonable cost of repairs. Further, we understand from your Revdex.com complaint that your repair facility charged you $500 in service call fees, but we've also paid the maximum service calls your contract allows in the amount of $200.

We hope this explanation addressed the concerns that were raised in your Revdex.com complaint. In the event you need to file another claim, please refer to the section under the heading "WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A FAILURE" in the terms & conditions of your vehicle service contract. Don't hesitate to call if you have any questions.

Revolos has addressed this customer's complaint and request that it be closed.

they did not cover the repair on the rear a/c unit... I had to pay to repair it.... they refused to cover costs and refuse to work with the only repair facility that does Mobil service. So we have no one to repair our camper....

These company is a fraud, their employees are rude & unprofessional. Worst case scenario if you have already paid off your car warranty; the pick & choose what they want to cover . Please do not waste your time & money with INDS/Revolos.

Do not use this company services or contracts. All they do is take your money and make all terms and conditions work against you. When I brought my service contract I was informed that I would get a pro rated back for what's left over on my warranty. I called the company and ask to cancel my policy based on this information, when I spoke to the rep on the phone I asked her if what amount I was going to get back from my policy she said she wouldn't be able to provide me that info and the cancelation department is the only department that can. So I go ahead and fill out the form and send the request to cancel. I call a couple days back and spoke to the same rep again and she tells that I wont get back any money because I have made claims over the amount of what I paid for the contract. At first I didn't understand what she meant and I was able to locate my contract and read through the info . Ok fine I understand that part, so I say if that is the case I want to undo the cancelation as I does me no good to cancel now and I wont get any money back. She states that are unable to do reinstate cancelation even though there is no writing of that in my policy or there cancellation form. After explaining if I knew the these 2 facts before I made the cancelation request and would have been properly informed that 1 you will not get any money back 2 if u cancel your policy u cant undo that and I would lose 3 more years of coverage I would have never canceled. Even after speaking to the manager and explaining this situation to her she also said she couldn't undo the cancelation. She said the only want to know if you would get any money back to is fill out the cancelation form and send it back to them. But of course they wont tell u that if u do that that can't be undo. There tactics all work in there favor and they wont be upfront with you. Even if they try to be polite and professional they only work in there favor and this is no company that I want to deal with ever again. At the point after wasting about 1hr of my time I said forget it. Bottom line is if I was presented with these the 2 points that I stated before I even started the process I would not have made the decisions that I did. Don't use this company for and services as its clear they only do what's best for there company and not there clients.

Interstate National Dealer Services Response • May 08, 2019

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns regarding the cancellation process. The process allowed you 60 days to review the terms and conditions of the certificate without any penalties. During this time any questions and concerns you had could've been addressed. Without asking questions and the contract not being canceled, one would believe you have a good understanding of the terms and conditions of your contract. Section (H) of your terms explain the refund calculations: REFUND CALCULATION - If this Certificate is canceled within the first sixty (60) days from the Effective Date and no claims have been filed, we will refund the entire Certificate charge paid. If this Certificate is canceled after the first sixty (60) days or a claim has been filed we will refund an amount of the Certificate charge according to the Pro-Rata Method reflecting the greater of the days in force or the miles driven based on the term of the plan selected and the date Coverage begins, less any claims paid, less a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25.00) Administrative Fee. In the event of cancellation, the Lienholder, if any, will be named on a cancellation refund check as their interest may appear.

When a so called supervisor tells a customer "I don't care what your contract says" in regards to a claim, that is tantamount to fraud.

Mr. spoke with the first representative at Revolos and disagreed with the determination of wear and tear. On April 15, the customer called Revolos back and requested to speak with a supervisor, during the conversation Mr. mentioned he would be contacting his attorney, then hung up on the representative before they could finish explaining the reason of denial. Purchased my extended warranty from one of their Dba's Warranty Direct. I purchased specifically for the Powershield coverage, which included TurboChargers. I have a 2008 BMW 535i, the twin turbo's failed, BMW technician knew this before tearing it down, however they wanted them to tear team to "still" deny the claim, so I am out of the $1500 tear down and still have to get the car repaired. AVOID THEM!!!

Interstate National Dealer Services Response • Apr 11, 2019

Re: XXXXXXXX-WD ***

The extended warranty that you purchased states, "In some cases, You may be required to authorize the repair facility to inspect or tear down Your Vehicle to determine the cause of Failure and the cost of the repair. You will be responsible for these charges if the Failure is not covered by this Contract." We were aware that the twin turbos had failed before the tear down occurred. In order to determine if the failure was going to be covered under the warranty though, we needed to know the cause of failure. This is the reason the tear down was requested. After the tear down was performed, your repair facility informed us that the cause of failure was worn bearings that caused the rear turbo impeller to seize. The warranty that you purchased covers defective parts and faulty workmanship, but not gradual reduction in operating performance due to wear or tear.Per "What to do in the event of a failure" in the contract
#5 letter b. Require Additional Evaluation, Inspection or Tear Down - The Administrator may require an inspection prior to the repair being completed. If a tear down is required to determine the cause of Failure, the Contract holder must authorize same. Notify the Contract holder that if the repair is not covered, then the Contract holder will be responsible for the cost of the tear down. This contract expired June 21, 2018. Interstate/Revolos now wishes to close this complaint.

Customer Response • Apr 12, 2019

The contract is written to deny the claims, No matter how much legal speak you quote from the contract, its not written to benefit the purchaser, and I will still say AVOID THEM! Old cars fail and 5 years after its manufactured it would have a defective parts or faulty workmanship. C'mon Warranty Direct, don't treat us like dummies. When a person come to you, they come hoping to have a piece of mind with the contracts they receive, you hope to never have to use the service (i.e. Insurance), but when you do you would hope to have your vehicle repaired. I would been halfway ok with them covering the teardown. I submitted the original claim prior to the contract being expired, with 40K miles remaining. Again, C'mon Warranty Direct. I am sure you would like to close this complaint.

Interstate National Dealer Services Response • Apr 19, 2019

To address the customer's rebuttal we are attaching the response that was submitted to Mr. outside counsel.
This letter is in response to your letter of May 24, 2018.
On or about June 21, 2013, RF*purchased Warranty Direct PowerShield Enhanced Used vehicle service contract XXXXXXXX WD for his 2008 BMW 535, VIN WBANWXXXXXCZ7434, from Warranty Direct. Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc., is the administrator of the contract. The contract is set to expire on June 21, 2018, or at XXXXXX, whichever first occurs.
On March 1, 2018, the contract holder's repair shop called a claim in and reported that the contract holder stated that the vehicle was smoking and the check engine light was on. Mr.epair shop stated that the turbo seals had failed and that the vehicle was blowing oil out the exhaust. The shop also reported that driver's side front window would not roll down and that the cause of the window problem was that the master winder switch had failed.
When Mr.op called the claim in, the Interstate claims representative explained to the repair shop that Interstate need to know what inside the turbo had failed in order to evaluate whether or not the repair was covered. The shop called back in on March 2, 2018. The shop stated that the impeller was worn and loose in the bearings on the front. Interstate denied the turbo claim. Under the terms and conditions of the contract, coverage does not include gradual reduction in operating performance due to wear or tear. The rear turbo impeller seized because of the worn bearings.
The denial of the claim was appropriate under the terms and conditions of the contract.
The Definitions section of Mr.tract provides
Failure is defined as a Failure of a defective part or faulty workmanship as supplied by the Manufacturer or Dealer, but does not include gradual reduction in operating performance due to wear or tear....
The Exclusions section provides
This Vehicle Service Contract Provides NO Coverage or Benefits for the following:
...B. OIL CONSUMPTION, WORN OUT PARTS, AND DIMINISHED PERFORMANCE INCLUDING THAT RESULTING FROM A GRADUAL REDUCTION IN OPERATING PERFORMANCE DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR...IS NOT COVERED.
Based upon the information provided by Mr. repair shop, Interstate's denial of the turbo portion of the claim is appropriate under the terms and conditions of the contract. The problem with the vehicle, which was caused by wear, does not meet the definition of a covered failure. In addition, the repair is excluded under Section B. of the Exclusions: worn out parts are specifically excluded. The window repair was authorized and that portion of the claim is pending.

Thank you for the information you provided in your complaint. Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc. ("Interstate") takes consumer complaints very seriously. Recently, Interstate has been receiving reports that telemarketers have been making improper solicitations to consumers and identifying themselves as "National Dealer Services," "Dealer Services," "Internet Auto," or by other similar, generic names. Due to the similarity between these names and our own, when someone attempts to identify the company, for example by Googling "National Dealer Services," Interstate is often mistakenly identified as the source of the calls. In some instances, Interstate has been advised that these telemarketers will go so far as to provide our website information if the authenticity of the call is questioned. These telemarketers are not calling our behalf.

We are sorry to hear about these frustrating solicitations. Interstate has been making a diligent effort to identify the specific entity or entities behind these calls. However, because the callers disguise their true identity by utilizing bogus or spoofed phone numbers, locating and identifying them has proven extremely difficult. Our efforts to identify these telemarketers are ongoing. In addition, Interstate has notified multiple government entities, including the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") and the Attorneys General of all fifty states, about these telemarketing activities. We will continue our efforts to try to identify the companies and marketers behind the calls.

Have a serious engine issues, told by Interstate it is not a covered part. The part is fitting for high pressure oil pump. I'm told this particular part is not covered so resulting damages caused by failure also not covered. Facing about 5k in repairs out of pocket. Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. As it would've been a pleasure to assist with all of your vehicle repairs we have to adhere to the terms and conditions of your vehicle service contract. The contract is responsible for repairing a failure. The term failure is defined as a defective part or faulty workmanship as supplied by the Manufacturer or Dealer but does not include gradual reduction. A covered part has failed when it can no longer perform the function for which it was designed solely due to its condition, and not due to the action or inaction of any noncovered parts. The components listed within your coverage level indicated on the copy of your application page are eligible for coverage. You have a name specific policy If an item is not listed. The part requested, (a fitting) was not listed within your coverage level and therefore not eligible. There was an opportunity to extend your coverage by selecting the consequential damage option when you purchased your vehicle service contract. This option would have extended coverage to covered parts that were damaged by a non-covered part. We understand the inconvenience the failure has imposed upon you. We hope this explanation of your terms and conditions provides clarity on why your claim was denied.

Although it appears that this company was involved in a class action lawsuit of the same nature as my complaint, I will accept this response and continue to inquire about the source of the calls.

Can't stop the harassing calls. Receive between one and three calls a day from various numbers, many of which are local cell phone numbers that they are somehow hacking and using. Tried the option to be removed from call list many times to no avail. Tried getting the caller to remove me from their list to be promptly hung up on....then called back from a different number. Just please stop.
Product_Or_Service: None

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi Anything besides harassing phone calls. Doesn't anybody care that these people are somehow using local cell phone numbers as a decoy? Call the number back and it's actually someone's number that has no idea what's going on.?

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

I have received over a half of dozen calls claiming a "final attempt to reach you." On all but one call, I have selected "do not call again." Only to be called again; usually within a week, sometimes within a few days. This last time I selected to speak to a representative, hoping to resolve the harassment after requesting to be placed on "do not call" list. As soon as I began to address the issue, the representative hung up on me.

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi I do not wanted to harassed by this company any longer. When I choose to be placed on the "do not call" list I expect that to be honored.

I have been getting over 3 calls a day from this company trying to extend my warranty on my car. Every time they call I press to have my number put on the do not call list and they continue to call me daily from a different number. I spoke with a representative today and he told me the name of the company and that he would put me on the do not call list, but he cannot guarantee I would not be called any more

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi I would like to have them stop contact with me completely
