Interstate National Dealer Services Reviews (%countItem)

I filed a claim for a vehicle repair which was subsequently denied as a result of policy/contract semantics. Additionally, I incurred a $110 out-of-pocket diagnostic fee.

The part (#XXXXXXXXAK Dash Control Unit) in question is a covered part as stated in the "Luxury Electrical" section of the contract (page 6 of 14). The section states, "...all manually operated switches." The DCU houses multiple manually operated switches. The switches still perform their functions, however, no longer illuminate as a result of bulbs within the component having gone bad. The components in the DCU are closed, and therefore there is no way to change or repair anything inside the component. As a result of this, despite the causal factor, the entire component/switch is bad due to the loss of a portion of its functionality (illumination).

The claims department used the fact that it does not cover lightbulbs as a justification for not paying the claim (Section D of Exclusions). After both the myself and the repair facility explained the unique conditions of the claim, the company still denied settlement.

To add further insult to injury, when I called to cancel my policy, I was transferred to multiple sales representatives attempting to dissuade me from cancellation with any number of substandard offers, excluding actual settlement of the claim. After being caught in a perpetual loop for nearly an hour and a half, I was finally transferred to an individual who had the authority to cancel my policy.

Desired Outcome

Repair In a perfect world, I would like my claim settled and paid. The total cost, including the already paid diagnostic fee is $1009.72. Beyond that, this complaint is for information purposes only, as there is no way for me to re-coop a year of policy premium at $205 per month.

In response to Revdex.com Complaint# XXXXXXXX, Contract# XXXXXXX-BRR, Revolos (formerly Interstate National Dealer Services), Claims Administrator, received a complaint from *** regarding his claim denial.

The claims department helped review the language again and confirms that the contract supports the denial. The contract specifically excludes lightbulbs as a covered item. Because the root cause of failure to the component was the lightbulbs, we are not able to approve the claim. The cause of failure is integral to determining coverage. Regarding the poor experience the customer expressed in his complaint that he experienced when attempting to cancel his contract, we advise the customer to contact the company he purchased the contract from and canceled the contract with, Endurance Warranty Services.

As I stated in the initial filing this was more for record purposes. While I am quite disappointed with the treatment I received, I am not going to waste my time chasing down a resolution from two companies who, throughout the process, have "passed the buck" regarding taking ownership of the situation.

this company calls me every day, often more than once. I have asked to be added to their do not call and they do not comply.
The incoming call number changes so they cannot be blocked. Daily calls after asking them to stop seems like harassment to me.

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi no more calls

Thank you for the information you provided in your complaint. Interstate National Dealer Services, Inc. ("Interstate") takes consumer complaints very seriously. Recently, Interstate has been receiving reports that telemarketers have been making improper solicitations to consumers and identifying themselves as "National Dealer Services," "Dealer Services," "Internet Auto," or by other similar, generic names. Due to the similarity between these names and our own, when someone attempts to identify the company, for example by Googling "National Dealer Services," Interstate is often mistakenly identified as the source of the calls. In some instances, Interstate has been advised that these telemarketers will go so far as to provide our website information if the authenticity of the call is questioned. These telemarketers are not calling our behalf.

We are sorry to hear about these frustrating solicitations. Interstate has been making a diligent effort to identify the specific entity or entities behind these calls. However, because the callers disguise their true identity by utilizing bogus or spoofed phone numbers, locating and identifying them has proven extremely difficult. Our efforts to identify these telemarketers are ongoing. In addition, Interstate has notified multiple government entities, including the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") and the Attorneys General of all fifty states, about these telemarketing activities. We will continue our efforts to try to identify the companies and marketers behind the calls.

COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!!! As many people have already posted, I get multiple calls DAILY from this business. They provide an option to be placed on the do not call list, however even when selecting this option the calls do not cease. I have blocked multiple numbers this business calls from however that did not slow the calls. A few times I have waited to speak to a person in hopes of putting a stop to these calls. The minute I start my sentence they hang up on me! This is clearly a fraudulent company that is likely trying to squeeze money out of the more naïve individuals. How many people have to complain before action is taken? I am tired of being harassed.

Desired Outcome

I do not believe that you are not associated with them. The fact that you chose an ambiguous sketchy sounding business name (as you clearly admit in your response where you say you have chosen a generic sounding name making you hard to identify) shows that you had this intention in mind.

In the time since my original complaint I have received a big increase in the amount of calls by your company and it is my belief that this is in retaliation for this complaint.

Any legitimate company with the amount of Revdex.com complaints against them as you have would at least make the effort to change their business name and website to something less generic to eliminate complaints. The very fact that you choose to battle the thousands of complaints against you and remain steadfast in keeping your brand name is all the evidence needed to prove you are the company responsible for spamming me and thousands of others.

I have compiled a list of every key person in the company, as well as their phone numbers and positions within the company. Fred K Contracct #*** XTRA SURPREME (wow)
60 Months 100,000 Miles $2964.00

Lost my timing chain and tensioners and retainers ---Under coverage it states:
Engine......Timing chain and tensioners and retainers..... But now we go to "Failurers to failure of a defective part ... by the manufactre not covered. Also states that if part is showing WEAR
it is not covered. GUESS WHAT EVERTHING WARES OUT. THEREFORE PER THIS CONTRACT NOTHING HAS TO BE COVERED BY ENDURANCE NOR INTERSTATE..
Am I dumber than a "flat stone" or what. Would they give a letter stating GM had produced a
bad timing chain and placed it in my car as they clained...of course not. Maria said we can't do that.
SO I AM OUT $3000.00 AND SUCKING WIND BECAUSE OF THESE SS!!!
But on the bright side I did learn for this. Will be opening FREDDIES FAMILY WARRANTY AND WILL COVER ANYTHING IN YOUR HOME AS LONG AS IT IS NOT USED. YOU KNOW THEWARE CLAUSE.

Interstate National Dealer Services Response • Jan 09, 2019

We regret that you are disappointed with your warranty coverage. We hope that the explanation for the denial helps to provide some clarification. Your repair facility diagnosed the problem with the timing chain as having slack and play, being stretched out, and further the timing chain tensioner was over its travel limit on the right side. This is a maintenance issue, and therefore not considered eligible for coverage under your contract. This part that you tried to make the warranty claim on is a part that is by design supposed to be changed at certain intervals. It's not considered a failed part; it's met its lifetime expectancy, and therefore should be replaced as a maintenance issue. Your contract provides coverage for failed parts - parts that are defective, parts that go bad before their lifetime expectancy, etc. Again, we regret you are unsatisfied with the coverage you purchased, but as the administrator of your vehicle service contract we are only following the contract language and adjudicating the claims appropriately.

I am constantly getting calls from National Dealer Services. I press 7 to be removed from there call list, but the calls keep coming. If this company can not maintain a 'do not call? list it should be put out of business.

Desired Outcome

When I purchased the contract form Warranty Direct, they are no longer in business and INDS took over, I wasn't informed properly about everything my warranty had covered by the sales rep. I was that "everything would be covered on my car except my rear view camera". The rep didn't go over the whole contract on specifics whenever it came to certain parts for each part of the car under the warranty. I had to recently file a claim for a part in my emissions but was denied a claim for a part that should have been listed under emissions. I had to pay for the repairs with my own money instead. The repair facilities, car dealership, spent over 1/3 hour with the claims department and were quick shocked on being denied coverage for repairs.

When I asked INDS about all of this, they couldn't answer any questions whatsoever about the contact, only stating it was whatever the underwriters had written. Since underwriters of the contract are no longer in business, INDs should be able to answer any and all questions asked. They stated they have to honor the contract, but when it comes to answering all my questions, they would rather not help. Instead, if it pertains to money for them, then they honor the contract and screw me in the process.

Because of the denial of my claim, I had cancelled my contract due to not being informed properly of ALL details in contract except for earlier stated line about everything being covered except. Because they decided to 'honor' the contract now, I am not getting a full refund of all money paid into it. I am getting a small % because of what is written in the contract no matter what I have to say about being misinformed. I also have to pay a $100 cancellation fee on top of this. I should be entitled for a FULL REFUND WITHOUT THE CANCELLATION FEES since the sales rep misrepresented the contract terms in their explanation.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like to be refunded the FULL AMOUNT for which I had paid into the contract because the contract should have been nulled and void due to a bad sales pitch and poor explanation of coverage. That amount would be 16 payments of $103.20 plus $63.50 initial installment for a total of $1714.70

In response to Revdex.com complaint case# XXXXXXXX- Contract# ***
Interstate National Dealer Services (INDS) received a complaint from *** regarding the dollar amount of the refund he is eligible for upon canceling his contract.

The phone call between you and the sales representative has been reviewed. At no time during this recorded conversation did the sales representative state that everything would be covered on your car except the rearview camera. The sales representative simply advised you that the rearview camera would not be eligible for coverage unless you purchased the luxury electronics package with your contract. Also, according to the phone call between you and the sales representative, you were on the company's website viewing your coverage options while she was processing your purchase. You did not ask the sales rep if there were items that were not eligible for coverage nor did you ask for a detailed explanation of coverage. Further, we sent you a copy of the contract after your purchase that detailed exactly what your coverage included and excluded. Per the terms and conditions outlined in the contract you were sent, you were given 30 days from the sale date to receive a 100% refund. This is explained to you on Page 10 of the contract that we sent to you, and you also attached to your Revdex.com complaint for our reference. Page 3 of that contract details exactly which emissions components are eligible for coverage. Because the recorded conversation between you and the sales representative revealed that she did not mislead or misinform you on coverage and because you were given a full explanation of coverage in the contract that was sent to you, we will not be able to agree to your desired resolution of a 100% refund. You are entitled to the pro-rata calculation of the refund detailed on Page 10 of the contract.

I want a copy of the recording in written form since they claim what they are claiming to be true, which it isn't. I didn't look at any website for the information that they speak about. There was no website as the company is no longer in business. This company took over for the old company. so, how can they have recordings of our conversation? Also, they cannot answer the questions of the old company. When asked questions, they cannot answer anything. Another warranty program and the dealership can say for sure that my contract was not honored for whatever was stated to them. They also agree that companies can try to downplay whatever is in the policy to save some money. Also,I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY KIND OF REFUND EITHER!! THEY NEED TO SEND THE FULL REFUND NOW!! They will be taken to court if they cannot prove everything on the sales call. They need to provide copies of the sales call that they claim they have.

There was never any mention of a LOAN or SPP whenever this was discussed!! It mentions nothing about them in the contract at all!! It shows more misrepresentation!! One of the reps recently called me to inform me now I get $0 back, period. Another deception from this company after I was told by several reps I get 29% of whatever I paid in. They can check their "records" for that too. I have the copy of the contract on file still too, just FYI. I also have contacted my state's attorney general about the whole case. So they need to be careful of whatever they say from this point. THEY WILL BE RELEASING ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTATION AND PHONE CALL TRANSCRIPTS (UNALTERED), SINCE THEY STATED THEY WON'T RELEASE ANYTHING WITHOUT A GOVERNMENT AGENCY'S REQUEST. THE CHOICE IS THEIRS NOW. PAY THE FULL AMOUNT PAID IN AND DEAL WITH THE DECEPTIONS AND MISLEADING LIES THAT WERE TOLD BY THE COMPANY WHO IS NON-EXISTENT NOW OR HAVE FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS AGAINST THEM WHICH COULD MAKE THE MATER WORSE FOR THEIR COMPANIES!!

The customer should refer to their Retail Installment Contract between Mr. and SPP for Mr. reference. INDS has exhausted all efforts to resolve this customer's complaint and requests that it be closed.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

I have had numerous automated phone calls from my area code referring to an expired auto warrantee. I do not have an expired warrantee on either of my current vehicles. I finally dialed through to speak to someone who asked me fishing questions about my car, "to verify that they have the right person on the phone." She then shared made-up details that did not match any of my vehicles regarding an expired warrantee. Once I told her that she must mistaken, that I had just purchased that car, she hung up.
I have been blocking these numbers for months! Please, somebody shut this down!

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi STOP CALLING!

I have been receiving calls, unsolicited calls day and night ( after 8pm) from this company for months. Its to the point where every other call I receive is from this company trying to sell me a vehicle warranty. I DONT OWN A CAR!! I have explained this numerous times, I have pressed #2 to be put on the do not call list.BUT it does not work. You have to listen to their message to get to the point where you push the appropriate number for the do not call list but by that time you've already heard their shpeel! Its been 8 months of endless phone calls. Most times I block the number but then they call me from a different number. They even try to call my 91 year old mother on her emergency phone! Nest complaint I make will be to the FCC this company is horrible!!

Desired Outcome

Modification/discontinuance of STOP CALLING MY NUMBEr AND MAKE THE LIST FOR DO NOT CALL WORK!!

I am receiving almost daily, harrassing phone calls on my cell phone, several times a day, weekly. The company routes calls through a number that has the same area code as my number to seem local. I have also received mail at my home from the same company. I have asked to be removed from their calling list and even blocked the number- but they keep calling from other numbers. These calls interrupt my job and interfere with my ability to do my job (due to the nature of what I do). They need to be stopped!!!!!

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi No further calls or mail from this company!
