I tried to work with IJL but received conflicting information My first phone conversation with a representative of IJL informed me they lost all my information therefore were not able to let me know that IJL was changing hands My second phone call I was informed I had been put on hiatus and they would consider switching my account to one of a colleague in lieu of monetary repayment After she requested in her profile men of color in a certain age range we received a message stating they would not restrict color or age Given this flies in the face of IJL I contacted IJL simply as a new customer and asked if they would restrict people to racial choice She said that they did it was their priority to match people with their preferences I also asked for all of my information indicating I had “expired”but they have refused to produce any of my information from the prior IJL I went ton two dates for dollars, no face to face interview and now lost paperwork and a transfer that I was not even informed about This was a horrible, expensive rip off Please advise my next steps to reopen my case and move forward with my complaint

First time I've used a dating service and did homework to check out just about every one in the DC area I felt a connection with IJL right away My first conversation felt like I was speaking with not only a professional but that after minutes on the phone she got me -- who I am, what I'm looking for, and why I had decided to look for a service I felt no pressure What had started out as an insecure intimidating exploration ended up leaving me feel validated and I had new friends looking out for me I've only been on one date but the organized way the arrangement was handled was great Took the stress of logistics out of a blind date but left plenty of room for relaxed fun get together??

Dear Ms***,
This letter is in regard to Ms***’s membership with It’s Just Lunch (IJL)She purchased a membership on 12/20/This membership entitled her to six months of active membership time for a cost of $2,000.00.
In Ms***’s third complaint, she states that this case is not closed and believes that IJL thinks everything is “fine.” Based on the provided in our last response, I think there might have been a miscommunication. Ms*** asked if we would allow her to see photos before going on her dates, and here is what I wrote:
“ we cannot accommodate this request for her current membership. I am hopeful Ms*** is still willing to work with us again. Given the fact she has contacted our office we will assume this case will be closed and we can start coordinating dates for Ms***Until we receive confirmation from Ms*** that she will allow us to start coordinating dates for her in the IJL manor the membership will remain on holdAgain, the membership may remain on hold until 04/27/If she does not contact us by then the membership will naturally expire“
In my letter I was referring to the Revdex.com closing the case, not that we had closed the account in any wayI also stated that we would continue to keep the membership on hold until she was ready for us to start coordinating dates for herIf she has not decided to meet more people through IJL, we will continue to keep the membership on hold until 04/27/14, when the membership would naturally expireI apologize if those details were not clear in the previous response.
If Ms*** does not want to meet more people through IJL, we clearly cannot make herSince a refund of the membership fee is not an option, we are hopeful Ms*** will allow us to start coordinating more dates for her

Before the change in ownership I was promised many things that I did not receiveAfter the change in ownership the unprofessional manner continuedThe matchmaker I was assigned to was rude and inflexibleI was told I would receive an additional match and that has not happenedI have left messages and they have not been returnedIt is my understanding that the original owners are in control of the money that I paidI would like to speak to them about a getting a refundNo one seems willing to help me with that process
I may consider settling for a partial refund but until then I remain unsatisfied

I have been pleased with the process in generalI like how potential matches come to me via a phone call as I am busy and don't have the energy or time to try to find them myselfI have had six dates in one monthThese are nice and quality men, and even though a second date will not occur with those, I look forward to meeting new people in the future

The Milwaukee Office of It's Just Lunch really seemed to work at helping me find "her" I would suggest to any single person to try them for at least months They have always set me up with intelligent attractive women The only issue I ever had is I reside in a very rural area of Wisconsin and many of the dates did not seem to be interested in moving out of a highly populated area If you live near a large city, there is now doubt this company can help you with your dating experience

My experience with IJL was a positive one I was offered new matches and dates every week, more than what was guaranteedI had about ten different dates within ten weeks, then I found the person that I wanted to pursue further and date exclusively The IJL staff was consistently available for support and questions They contacted me frequently with reminder calls and/or emails, and requests for feedback about the date and their matching accuracy to my likes I found the staff at IJL to be reliable and professional and they delivered well on their agreement The service was invaluable to me and I have recommended it to my single friends

I know that many people complain about dating services but nobody can guarantee chemistryI may not have found true love through It's Just Lunch but they did introduce me to many quality candidates that I would not have met on my ownSome dates were better than others but even the less successful ones were with serious professionals that were interested in meeting a partnerI have recommended IJL to several friends
