This will be the second complaint I've filed against Jerome's and for the same issueJeromes has now attempted to deliver a swival rocker recliner three times in the past monthThe first being that the chair was not covered and sitting in the back of their delivery truck with a dirty blanket covering the chairThe second attempt was about a week ago or so but that time they had the wrong chairThis morning on 9-9-16, they once again brought a chair that was not in its original packaging and covered with a dirty movers blanket that had debris all over itI personally believe this was the same uncovered chair that they attempted to deliver more than three weeks ago
I spoke with Jerome's customer service rep about this matter this morning and she attempted to provide me with excuses for the drivers which she was completely wrongMore than a week ago I went to the *** *** Jerome's store where the chair was purchased and for the third time, I spoke with *** *** in an attempt to clear this a all up and get it right, but for the third time *** has failed to stay on top of this situation, and he failed to followup with me on the situationOnce again I will make the statement that this organizations customer service is horrific at best, and there is a PROFOUND lack of communication between their departmentsIn other words, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing
I would like a call from Jerome's corporate management to discuss this matterI believe I have been drastically inconvenienced by the profound lack of Customer Care I paid for this chair nearly two months ago, and I'm still without the chair and they have my money and they attempted to charge me for today's delivery because the warehouse did not understand what a customer credit meantI believe I am due a partial refund for the inconvenienceThey need to get their act together and hire professionals and not incompetent people both at their warehouse and at their storeIf this matter had been brought to the attention of their upper level management or corporate officials, I do not believe that this situation would have gotten so out-of-controlThey need to special order me the chair that I spoke to *** about more than a week ago which I believe was a Charcoal Colored chair.Regards,*** ***

The mattress was and is on adequate box springs from the beginning, the mattress is rippling and separating from the inside which means that it is defective There is no miss matching with the box springs, this is just a ruse from Jerome's Furniture, the mattress which was replaced was in better shape then the new one we now have and it was fifteen years old Wet would just like to be able to get a good nights sleep on a mattress that is not falling apart and causing back problems

We appreciate the additional information provided *** is a 3rd party company and is not related to Jerome's
The money for the warranty is provided directly to *** *** does offer coverage in most of the continental U.Sstates
The warranty directly through Jerome's for manufacturing defects is only offered for year from the delivery date and is only honored within Southern California in the areas we offer regular delivery
Unfortunately Jerome's is unable to provide a refund for services rendered to repair your merchandise
Peeling of leather is not covered under *** warranty since they only cover one-time accidental stains or damages Peeling generally occurs over a period of time and not from a one-time occurrence
We do understand your frustration; however, in order to request a refund for the *** policy, you will need to contact *** directly They will not accept requests for refund from anyone except the consumer

They have discontinued that sofa sleeper but still have the mattress in questionI want the mattress to be included with the sofa sleeper I chooseI will accept 10% off a sofa sleeper and the firm cool gel memory foam mattress included at no additional cost.

The actual leaf is unable to be ordered since they are individually made for each table

I have tried to contact *** multiple times and sent them and cooperation multiple letter with no response only answer I get from *** is to call jeromes corporate and jeromes tells me to call them been going back and forth with them for months and months

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Jerome's refuses to fix the areas of the sofa where the leather has holesSince this furniture is only months old this has to be a factory defectJerome's refuses that is the case and will not fix itThey are only fixing parts that can be replaced however they stated it could be months until they have the partsThey would not even give us a timeframeI am concerned that more things will break because it is taking so long to get parts and then I will be past my first year of coverageI think Jerome's is being very unethical on thisThey have told me to contact the OOPS coverage to see it they will fix the holes in the fabric but don't know if they will cover it.
Just as an fyi, I was at a friend's house and her couch she purchased from Jerome's was sitting outside on her deck
I knew it was only about a year and a half old so I asked her whyShe replied she had holes in the fabric and it smelled awful since it was delivered to her home, she stated that Jerome's would only offer to clean it and had done that twice and it still smelled so bad she had to remove it from her home, the smell was making her and her family feel illShe then stated that their additional coverage she purchased wouldn't help her either and was a waste of her moneyShe is going to have the couch taken to the dump because she does not want to donate it to anyone and make them sickHer couch was nothing like mine, different fabric, etc and she purchased it from a *** *** store.
Before I purchased my furniture another couple told me of the same type of problems they had with the same type of issues and Jerome's not fixing themLuckily for them they could throw the furniture away and purchase it from a different retailer
Well, stupid me I didn't listen so I am in the same situationI just do not understand how Jerome's can have a AAA rating with you when in my small circle of friends who have purchased furniture and had problems with furniture and Jerome's didn't fix it.

For this claim, we did
send one of our service technicians to the consumer’s residence on May 19,
The technician determined the sectional did not have any
manufacturing defects
The warranty which came
with the merchandise is a one-year warranty directly through
Jerome's
This warranty is for parts and labor only and guarantees the merchandise
to be free of manufacturing defects which are reported within the first year
from the original delivery or pidate
The technician did
notify the consumer that as a good faith gesture we could order the seat
cushion cores and re-pad the armrests to try to alleviate the issues the
consumer mentioned, however, the consumer did not want any parts or repairs
We can gladly send out
another service technician to review the merchandise in the residence to
determine if there is a defect, however, we will only be able to abide by our
warranty for parts and labor
We are unable to comply
with the consumers request for refund

They have no similar products on their web-site for the same price???? Does the reselection include shipping/delivery and what about the warranty and extra service contact I purchased on the power recliner?????? It is hard to accept an offer that does not outline any terms. I am still waiting for the call back on the message I left July 5th to go over "the offer" to reselect

In regards to this claim, the consumer received an exchange of the merchandise in question on April 23,
We do understand the consumer’s frustration and apologize for the inconvenience In regards to the Consumer Affairs claim which was submitted we contacted the associate in charge of
the claim directly, however, we never received any additional information from the Department of Consumer Affairs to further assist them with the claim.
For the inconvenience which occurred, we will refund $to the consumer. The refund will be processed back onto the *** *** on file ending in ***; credit Card refunds can take 5-business days to reflect as an available credit

According to Jerome's, I failed to report damages in a timely mannerThis is absolutely not trueEven immediately upon delivery, I tried to refuse to sign the paperworkI tried to reject the delivery as soon as I received itHowever, it was late at night, it was obvious the deliverymen had been working exhaustively all day long, and they said they would not be paid if I did not sign their papersThey said they would let customer service know of the damageThe delivery occurred on August 16,
On August 18, 2015, Jerome's sent an inspector to come to my house to assess the damagesI confirmed this date with Jerome’sHe took plenty of photos and documented the situation extensively, both furniture and carpet damageHe said that usually, Jerome's requires or photos, but he took more than because there were just too many damages to include
On August 19, 2015, I called customer service four times to discuss compensation for the damagesI was offered the standard options: either 10% off, or exchangeI found both of these to be unacceptable, for reasons I have stated beforeI was told that a supervisor would get back to me, but I never received a call from them
On August 28, 2015, I called customer service again, to make sure my complaints and requests were understood, because I never got the supervisor call I was promised last timeI spoke to ***She promised that a supervisor would call me back promptlyNo one ever got back to me
On August 31, 2015, I called customer service yet again because I still had not heard from a supervisorI spoke to ***Again, she promised that a supervisor would call me back soonAgain, no one ever didI could not continue to wait for this call that would never comeI recognized that my attempts at giving them a chance to resolve the issue were hopeless
On September 17, 2015, I had no choice but to file a dispute with my credit card companyI was told not to communicate with Jerome’s directly while the credit card company’s investigation was ongoing
As you can see, I have been working on this issue continuously ever since I received delivery of the furnitureI caused no delays on my partI did not miss any supposed deadlines to contact Jerome’sThus, the issue of time is not a valid explanation or excuse to justify the inferior quality of the furniture I received
At no point did I ever opt to keep the furniture as isFrom the very start I have made it clear that the furniture is unacceptable and that I seek a full return
If Jerome’s insists that a full return is not possible, I must request a 50% refundIn addition to the defective goods I received, I have suffered significant time loss and have been subject to frustration caused by the inferior quality of customer service at Jerome’s.Regards,*** ***
