Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Monday August 15, 2016Dear Ladies and Gentleman:In response to Jerome's reply that I received on 8-14-16, there continues to be failures in their communication regarding the Rocker Recliner Replacement.The day after I filed this Revdex.com complaint, I spoke with the manager at the [redacted] Jerome's store, [redacted] I explained to [redacted] what occurred with the second Rocker when it was delivered [redacted] said he would look into the matter and get right back to me, but I have not heard from him since, and neither has the Jerome's warehouse.I asked [redacted] at the time if I could go ahead and get the Charcoal colored fabric that I originally wanted but would take two weeks to get [redacted] said that would be ok I took the Brown colored rocker originally because that was all they had in stock at the time and the charcoal colored chair would have taken two to three weeks to get Since I was told that the rocker that was delivered uncovered and was supposedly the last one in their warehouse, then I felt if I'm to wait two plus weeks, then I would just go ahead and order the color I was originally wanting.The problem I see here is that miraculously they have received this new rocker recliner in stock the day after the failed delivery and the day after I was told they were out of stock on the item and color I'm now suspicious that I would be getting a new chair that has not been wrapped thoroughly and has just been sitting in their warehouse uncovered.I had also purchased a love-seat from Jeromes at the same time I purchased the rocker recliner and I'm experiencing and Bad Oder coming from the couch I'm not sure at this time if it's just the materials and its new, or if something else is going on with the love-seat I'm going to wait a little longer before I call Jerome's to deal with it but this love-seat was quite dusty when it arrived, and I had to thoroughly vacuum the fabric.There seems to be a profound lack of communication between the Jerome's different departments as well as with their customers This matter should have been rectified by [redacted] and followed up on within a day or two after we discussed the matter.I have no problem accepting the Brown Rocker Recliner which they say they have in stock, but I want reassurance that they are not just giving me back the rocker now covered in plastic, that was sitting in the back of their truck with a filthy and stained blanket covering it I received a call from [redacted] on 8-14-advising they had a new brown rocker recliner that they could deliver to me covered in plastic She advised me that it's for their drivers to uncover the furniture from its original packaging at the warehouse before setting out on their deliveries This is probably why my love-seat was also so dusty These delivery trucks are dirty and dusty and they do pick up dust, dirt, and grime while traveling on the roads.Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Jerome's did come to the house and said that they could see the defect-which they are now denying they saw-and yes they offered to fix the problem by stuffing more material into the back bolsters of this chair-sofa However, we find this unacceptable because the chair-sofa was only one month old when this happened It is uncomfortable to sit on and will only deteriorate more over time From the beginning we asked them to take the chair-sofa back and they not only refused, but have only contacted me recently to discuss this dispute On August 23rd, I was contacted by Jeromes to discuss problem I again was told that I would be contacted--It is now the 28th of August and no one has contacted me regarding this dispute

In regards to this complaint we do offer our consumers several different finance options [redacted] which is also known as [redacted] is one of the options This consumer financed through [redacted] , after review of their account Jerome's does not offer in-house financing directly through Jerome's All financing options are through 3rd party companies At the time of financing the consumers are made aware of the financing terms prior to signing the financing agreement Unfortunately we cannot change or alter the financing terms which were signed at the time of purchase, since the contract is directly through [redacted] We do advertise all of our financing options which can easily be located on our website Should the consumer need additional assistance in regards to their [redacted] financing account, they would need to contact [redacted] directly at [redacted] The consumer can also contact our Customer Care Department at [redacted] should they need further assistance Sincerely, [redacted] Jerome's Furniture

In regards to this complaint it looks like the customer did receive the ottoman on June 11, I have sent the customer an e-mail to the e-mail address they provided on the claim to see if they need further assistance.Thank you, [redacted] Customer Care Manager

In regards to this claim, I spoke with the consumer the day after this claim was filed The delivery fee of $was waived due to the discrepancies and a timeframe was accommodated for delivery Unfortunately we cannot comply with the consumers request for 50% off his invoice As a good faith gesture, I will extend free delivery on his next purchase (up to an $value) A notation has been placed on the consumers account with the above offer and has no expiration date Should the consumer have any additional questions or concerns, we can be contacted at ( [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] Customer Care Manager

One of our Customer Care Managers, [redacted] , was in contact with this consumer last week As of now the information was sent to [redacted] and [redacted] is conducting an investigation [redacted] has notified us that they will be in direct contact with the consumer At this time we are unable to process anything further until [redacted] has conducted their own investigation The consumer also advised he filed the dispute with [redacted] the week of Thanksgiving As of now the filing will have to proceed with [redacted] directly If the consumer has any additional questions, until [redacted] contacts us, he may contact us at [redacted] Sincerely, Jerome's Furniture

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Although Jerome's uses a 3rd party company to move their furniture they are still wearing and representing Jerome's in the fullest nature and intentAs for the response Jerome's gave for the mattress tags, they are made and engineered to be hard to remove because of Federal law and possibility of voiding any warranties to their clientsThe second part of my desired outcome was for Jerome's to acknowledge that they delivered a mattress without the tag which is against Federal law (Title Ch SubCh V Sec 70c)Lastly the issue of advertisement was not addressed in the response from Jerome's FurnitureThe compensation I received was for the inconvenience and inconvenience only of receiving the wrong mattress, it does not include the misrepresentation of their bed frame at the store and what product was delivered Respectfully, [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below A Jerome's manager called me but she calls during my working hours (I work at a hospital) I talked to [redacted] and after negotiations, Jerome's has agreed to come pick up the defective merchandise, which includes queen size mattress & adjustable bed, queen size protective cover and refund delivery/pifeesThe only fee I'm being charged is the CA recycling fee in the amount of $(I'm not happy about this because I'm paying for an item that was defective, but I hv agreed to pay the $and nothing else) [redacted] said they will refund me all the other charges bringing my account to $balance after I pay the $fee She's supposed to send me an email letter confirming our conversation & agreementPlease ask Jerome's FURNITURE to send me such confirmation Regards, [redacted]
