SC&G CONTRACTED OUT A TREE COMPANY THAT LEFT MY BACKYARD DESTROYED WITH DEBRISTHEY DID NOT REMOVE WHAT THEY CUT DOWNPLUS DID AN INCOMPLETE JOB!!!! DURING THE MONTH OF JUNESC&G HAD CONTRACTORS FROM CAROLINA TREE OR SOME COMPANY SIMILAR IN NAMECUTTING DOWN TREES ETCUPON ARRIVING HOME ONE DAY LAST MONTH I NOTICED THAT THE BACK OF MY TWO ACRE PROPERTY SEEMED TO BE CLUTTERED WITH DEBRIS FROM TREESBAMBOO ETCNOBODY BOTHERED TO CLEAN THIS DEBRIS OFF MY PROPERTY AFTER THEY CUT IT DOWN!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! THEY DID NOT DO A COMPLETE JOB OF CUTTING DOWN THE BAMBOO OR REMOVING IT FROM MY PROPERTYI AM THE ONLY AFRICAN AMERICAN IN THIS AREA OF MY NEIGHBORHOOD AND I HOPE THIS WAS NOT DONE ON PURPOSEI CALLED SC&G YEARS AGO TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE BAMBOO ON HE WIRES TO NO AVAILNOW THEY COME AND LEAVE THIS MESS AND INCOMPLETE JOB IN MY YARDTHE Revdex.com TOLD ME TO RESOLVE THIS WITH YOU FIRSTIF NOT I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT AND POSSIBLE LAWSUIT FOR THIS MESS YOU LEFT MY YARD IN!!

An individual other than me or listed as an authorized user on my account was allowed to turn off my electrical services without my knowledge/consent On 11/2/an individual was allowed to turn off my services and switch them into their name without my permission or consent, even though they were not listed on my accountThey did not have to show any proof of identification nor confirmation of security information for the accountThis led to me losing my $deposit and having to pay an additional $deposit, instead of just being able to transfer my services as I had initially wanted to do in the first placeIn addition to this, upon informing SCE&G of my issues with this, I was told there was nothing they could do and that it's pretty much not that big of an issue

Moved out September 30th , disconnected service and still being charged My lease ended on September 30th I contacted the company on July 28th, letting them know that is the date I would be cutting off my serviceI again sent them a letter with my bill in September and called saying that I was still being charged for electricity Unbeknownst to me, the company forwarded the payments to collections with no consent from me violating FCRA and also no corepondenceThe lease ending agreement I sent them had my new address and I also gave it to themI would never under any circumstance leave an electricity bill unpaid I want this remedied

I'm thankful to have lights. With myself being on a fixed income sometimes I have to choose between lights, water or food. And I have called to have an extension extended by two or three days and it's always no. I have my 90+ year old grandmother here and I myself have medical equipment, and it seems that no one really cares when you can't meet the deadline and your calling to advise that. I just think that the consumer should be valued just as much or if not more than the service provider. Without SCEG we have no light with out the consumer SCEG makes no money.

AC/heating warranty
We purchased the AC/heating warranty back in 2016, I believe we pay $or so per month Last Thursday JUne 7th, our ac starting getting warmer and warmer, so we called Friday morning to SCE&G to get a technician to come out, finally Friday afternoon we received a call for Goose Creek ac/heating telling they would be out in week I told then that I have a year old husband and senior dogs, and that wasn't reasonable So after a lot of pleading I finally got told that they would be there Monday Finally they came late Monday and said that there was a bad Freon leak, and getting a part and refilling with rwould cost $and there was no guarantee, and that SCE&G wouldn't cover any of it because our unit is yrs old We were not told that in the beginning so I called today and was told that we received info in the mail with the rules, but was not asked at the time we signed up for the warranty The lady on the phone said we would not

Terrible customer service, just moved here months ago after dealing with a fantastic power company there and no one here even has the competency to break down thier own bill and explain it back...just keep trying to confuse, change subject, and say theres no one to help usSo if your bill is crazy high for no reason (asked for previous bills and they conveniently "could only find" another really high one in '2016') dont even try to call, no one will help and you can pay or have power turned off
