John's Garage Reviews (420)

Thank you for sharing your concerns about your experience with our companyIn reviewing your file, it appears that the note and security agreement you signed and returned to us did not have GAP on it (attached for your review)According to the notes in the file, you were offered GAP but chose not
to take it and opted in for a lower paymentYour complaint talks about life insurance as well but we do not offer that product at all so I not completely sure what you are referring to thereUnfortunately, based on the above, we don't have any options to assist youI am sorry for the confusion but all we can do is book the loan based on the documentation you provide. Regards,The OpenRoad Lending Team

My account with Santander has been reporting as "past due" for many months nowAgain, this appears as nothing more than another bait and switch tactic from Open Road LendingSince I seriously doubt that Open Road Lending ran my credit last year and just now decided to send me a "time sensitive"offer of credit, I find no credibility in their feeble responseHad they been serious in their offer, we wouldn't be having this discussion now would we?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

I understand credit utilization and DTI's as we've established in prior dialogI also understand how the credit bureaus view inquiriesThe point now is that there were future inquiries AFTER I was denied by Open Road LendingWhat's the point in that? I received my denial notification from your associate on April 16th and I subsequently have six additional inquiries from the April 17th through April 19thWhy? If Open Road as a whole couldn't aid in the refinancing process and an official message was sent, why waste the time of adding that many inquiries? That seems backwards and rather asinineSeven different companies, total inquiries from March 9th to April 19thI also don't understand why there are multiple inquiries with the same company on different dates and weeks apartIf the companies weren't able to approve the loan before the oversight of my child support obligation, why add multiple inquiries from the same company that denied the application earlier after the proper DTI was noticed? This makes no since at allCan you explain that? We can continue this conversation in this forum, but I'd rather get someone to actually speak with meAt any rate, you're actually taking the time to respond on this medium, so we'll use it until its resolvedThank you

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response and I am tired of arguing with a company that clearly doesn't want to own up to their flawsI hope Revdex.com will investigate their A+ rating, because continuing to argue with this company is unacceptable, and does not merit their rating.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11235473, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Even though I believe that this lender utilizes predatory practices, due to the fact that key details are buried in fine print, there is nothing that they will do to correct that as they feel they are in the right I will utilize other means to express my displeasure, including social media, local news media and word of mouth OpenRoad Lending needs to make their terms and business practices clearer They need to change the wording of their mailings and emails They need to make it quite clear when a loan is ACTUALLY approved

I am sorry we were unable to help you refinance your vehicle. When you first applied, you applied by yourself but your title is in both names, so we needed to add your wife. When we did, we failed to pull her credit and once we eventually did she had a previous repossession in her past
so we were unable to proceed. Since we were partially at fault, we will remove the credit inquiries from your file. Be advised that once we send the letter to the respective credit bureau, it will take at least 6-weeks for them to take action and the process is out of our hands as we do not control the data. Again I am sorry that we were unable to help at this time

I am rejecting this response because: they are lying about saving me moneyMy payment increased despite the APR loweringAnd the “over communication” are automated messages your employees don’t even know they are sending out*** wasn’t excited to save me money, there were no savings to be bad, she wanted to try and bully me into a bad loan agreement, as did ***, her supervisorYou don’t deserve your ratingAnd no email response you make can rectify that

Mr***,Thank you for sharing your concernsWe do have all of your credit information when we send you a pre-approved offer, however, your vehicle still must qualify as stated on the back of that letter you receivedYou were approved to finance up to 140% of the value of the vehicle
Unfortunately based on what you owe, your LTV or loan to value is 171%. Again, I do apologize for the poor experienceI hope we can earn your business sometime in the future.Regards,The OpenRoad Lending Team

I am rejecting this response because:The company which I'm complaining against remains steadfast in their assertion that I'd applied for credit with themThere's NO logical reason that I would have done this as I've been very satisfied with my current finance arrangement and was engaged in the process of obtaining a NEW mortgageMy attorney has stated that I should file a police report in regards to the issue (as an identity theft matter)It's my contention this organization has NO interest in resolving the matter amicably, has no conscience, and further has no business being in businessPursuant to this issue affecting me, I've reviewed other similar complaints from others online

This same complaint was submitted and replied on the Revdex.com review system yesterday Here is the responseI am sorry for your poor experience but from a credit experience you are pre-approved but we dont know how much money your make or the car (year, make and mileage) so we have to make some
assumptionsIn your case, your debt to income (how much you owe to how much you make on a monthly basis) is extremely high (over 120%)I was wondering if you put in your monthly income or just your bi-monthly incomeThis would cause your debt to income ratio to be too highPlease let us know if your monthly income from your job is and we can relook at your applicationAs far as your concern about what the letter states, you can view on the back the requirements as far as income, mileage, year of vehicle, etcAgain I am sorry for the bad experience and hope maybe the issue was bad data. Finally multiple inquiries in a short period of time (say days) has no effect on your credit score as you can see for yourself in this Experian article or I encourage you to search for yourself Again confirm your monthly income and we might be able to help.***

Whom did you speak to because I have reveiwed the calls on your file and that was never discussed before you applied?

Again I am sorry about the poor experience. The links are just above the submit button on the application so I'm not sure how we are hiding anything. Also people are pre-approved for lots of types of credit (auto, mortgage, credit cards) but often times you have to prove your income or have insurance or have a drivers license (etc) in order to complete the loan

Mr*** - First let me apologize for the poor experience you had with our company and thank you for your service to our great countryI have read through all of the information on your file and it appears the issue stems around a debt you have on your paystub that we were not aware ofThat
payment of $1,per month for child support forces you to no longer qualify based on your DTI (debt to income meaning the amount of money you have left over each month after all bills are paid)Our guidelines allow for up to 50% and yours with this additional debt we were not made aware of up front puts you over 60%We attempted to get an exception to this with all of our underwriting and lending partners but to no availWe should have recognized that much sooner in the process and for that I am sorryI hope we can earn your business sometime in the future. The OpenRoad Lending Team

We have you approved for 7.5% if your LTV can fit all the requirements when you are currently paying 19.5%We are possible saving you over 12% in interest and thousands of dollars over the life of the loanAgain multiple inquiries in a short period of time (less than days) cause no affect on your over all scoreYou can read it on Experians site or others if you want to google it.http://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/2013/10/30/multiple-inquiries-when...

I do apologize for you poor experience with our companyWhen you complete your application with us, you agree to allow us to pass your application on to other lenders in an effort to find you the best terms for financingYou also agree that they are allowed to access your credit

I am rejecting this response because:
None if that was ever mentioned, nor was the lack of responses to emails or voicemails asking for explanations.Which equals a comets lack of professionalism. Again not once was any ov the ltv, mentioned .all messages from herf indicated it was a done deal and I just needed to ok it.Or maybe not returning calls, emails, messagesrom potential clients just how you guys do business and that's your definitio n of service and professionalism.
