Do not buy this worthless insuranceIt's a scam with all kinds of loopholes as to why we don't qualify for reimbursement for trip insuranceThe airlines cancelled out connecting flight into BTV we had to take a bus from Newark to BTV arriving hours behind scheduleThe airline told us the cancellation was due to weatherAccording to the insurance company the airline had flights leaving that airport to other parts of the country so we don't qualifyI explained to the claims adjuster that the weather was in the part of the country that we were traveling and that there were no more available flights for several days, therefore, the bus solutionWe paid $for this insuranceThere were of us traveling so we were out the airfare, one nights lodging, and one days auto rental

The way Allianz sells insurance through the airlines is, if not a blatant scam, it is as close to unconscionable marketing as you could devise I label it a scamAllianz doesn't tell the customer what he has bought until they have the premiummoney The “cancel for any reason,” that is part of your promotion is then couched in obscure language about a review period that would not pass the smell test They, of course, know thatRather than send the confirmation notice under it's own name, it sends an email from donotreply.com name, which does not call the customer’s attention to the face that Allianz is keeping the premium unless you find your way through that labyrinth and discover that it is not “for any reason.” My reason is that I have a business conflict, but it doesn't rise to its list of "emergencies." So, we are stuckAllianz has the money I needed to cancel the trip for business reasons, [redacted] holds my $1,for the trip and I pay the $penalty when I rebook for another tripShame on Allianz and shame on [redacted] for letting them do this under their name

Allianz Global (Travel Insurance) did not consider an unexpected birth of a child that needed to be delivered within hours and weeks ahead of the due date a medical emergency That I guess does not qualify We filled out all the forms and still does not qualify I wish I would have come here first before purchasing their travel insurance (through ***), which I will never do again How they have an "A+" rating is beyond me they've had almost complaints in the last year It takes a lot for people to formally complain through the Revdex.com
