I signed up for lawnstarer because my mower was not working. It took them two days to get the job done and the guy got his neighbor and his neighbor's children to mow the front and back yard. Next when I asked to cancel the service, they stated that they did. But a month later I have guys emailing me and messaging me that they are coming to my house to mow my lawn. This has to stop!

need someone to contact me. Noone is answering my emails!! On June 16 2020. My crew showed up. mowed my yard. They damagwd my property did not tell us. The guy ripped a hole in my car cover and scratched up the door on my 88' mustang. I got quoted $560 to fix it. The crew again NEVER MENTIONED it to us. They left and I went in to look how they did. I put a claim in and heard back sent in reciepts of the damage. I heard back maybe 3 or 4 times. Still have not settled. Im very upset about this. I have been a customer for a year and I pay the safety and trust fee everytime.

I was charged for a service that was never completed. I was promised no charges would be made until service was completed, and I was charged anyways. Service provider never showed up to complete service the 2nd time, & Lawnstarter system lied to me saying service was complete. This is a fraudulent business & should not be trusted.

On May 29, a new crew, 1 person was assigned to me. He used a zero turn lawn mower that left deep and dark tire tracks on my sidewalk and driveway. I reported to Lawnstarter same day. They said they would refer to a pro. The crew said they would come back and power wash the damage off. Last week I received an HOA violation for the tire tracks and for the damage that the crew did to my property etching into the concrete on a significant part of my driveway and sidewalk. Lawnstarter Property Damage has refused to provide their insurance company so I can file a claim, they have refused to address the damage and are refusing to take responsibility for the damage. Estimates I have received to repair the damage to concrete is in the range of $3,300-8,700. Additionally, I have reported being unhappy, but they do not honor their guarantee of "...if I am not happy, I don't have to pay...."

Do NOT hire them! They sent out a crew that damaged my fence. Then proceeded to charge me for the service and completely ignore my damage claim. Terrible customer service. Crews keep rescheduling without notice or mark the job complete to charge you without actually mowing the lawn. I would be really leery of using their service.

We contracted for 3 months of service with this company after moving into our new home. The first cutting went well. It was scheduled promptly and carried out in a satisfactory manner. After that, things went south quickly. Our second scheduled cutting was cancelled and rescheduled multiple times. Our lawn was becoming overgrown, and I wasnt happy knowing that they were going to charge us the additional rate when it was the contractor who continued to reschedule on us with no explanation. We gave Lawnstarter a call and they told us someone would be out to provide service for us, but did not address the additional fee we would incur for excessive growth. Due to three weeks of this constant rescheduling, we received a citation from our city for the overgrown lawn. On the 4th week, a new crew did show up, and did a great job; unfortunately it was too little too late and we have since cancelled our service.

On April 29, 2020, I received Lawncare service from LawnStarter. When they left, I noticed that my vinyl siding was damaged in the rear elevation of my home due to a weed eater. I contacted LawnStarter and put in a claim to their Property Damage department. They contacted me and said they will have their REP get in touch with regarding fixing my siding. The REP contacted me and advised that he will fix it. On 5/31/20 I received a text from the REP advising that he got a small piece of the siding and was looking for a match. I placed a follow-up email to LawnStarter on 6/16/30 asking for a status update because I haven’t heard anything from the REP, or nothing has been fixed. LawnStarter replied and say they will investigate and get in touch with me by the end of the week. Received an email on 6/30/20 advising they will not fix my siding because the REP is saying that its pre-existing damaged. The REP submitted a blurry picture stating my siding was already damaged before the cut, but you can’t tell by the picture. I tried calling and sent email to have the situation escalated but the REP wouldn’t. I asked how you can admit fault and say you were going to fix my siding and then 2 month later say no. I have a screenshot of the text message of the REP advising they will fix it and emails.

I paid the a lawn care service (tree trim) that was never provided. A total of $77.74 was charged to my debit card for the service. I was told that an refund would be issued and when I logged into my account I noticed I was issued a refund for $0.

I was charged $332.12 based on quotes for lawn service. I was charged $195.12 for cleanup service that included leaves in the back and weeds in the flower beds, but the crew failed to do that part. The bush trimming for $133.00 but the bushes were only trimmed a little off the top and not all around. The $50.00 cut and edge, but the crew did not edge. To top it off they charged me $1.99 for a trust and safety fee. I trusted that they would provide good service but they didn't. I complained immediately and sent pictures and was told that they are waiting for a response from the crew to come back out and fix the mess. After 6 or 7 days I'm having a hard time understanding why the crew will not respond. I tried to cancel my future service and was told that there is a 3 cut minimum, but this was not indicated when I requested the quotes from their website.

Their web site said they were supposed to be able to get a crew to your site within two days. I ordered my first lawn mowing almost two weeks before I wanted the lawn mowed. After initial contact from the crew, I was rescheduled twice, and then a third time "due to inclement weather". (What inclement weather? There was rain in the very early morning hours, then 10-20% predicted for the rest of the day - typical northwest weather at this time of year). After three reschedules and no lawn mowing, I thought that I must have been paired with an unreliable crew, so I asked for a different crew. That request was handled very promptly. The second crew rescheduled, a third crew was assigned (no idea why), and then third crew rescheduled. Then I was assigned a fourth crew with yet another rescheduled date (no idea why). So after eight reschedules, four crews, a month after my initial request, and two weeks after the first "mow date", my lawn had still not been mowed.

I had a subscription for a weekly mowing of my lawn as I moved into my new home and didn't have a lawnmower yet. this past week, I was charged in excess of $100 for two services, one of which wasn't even performed. When I contacted the business, I was informed that someone indeed came out and cut my grass and I was charged for June 8th and June 15th. June 8th, no one showed up and the crew who was showing up before had cancelled on me. A new crew came out on the 15th and cut the grass. Then, I was charged for both days. And an additional long grass fee for those days. This was the 4th crew in a month time period. When I was charged this fee, I asked why and let the company know I was tired of getting different crews and wanted a full refund for lying about services, inconsistent crews, charges for "long grass" when crews were inconsistently coming without messaging me which was no fault of my own. The company ran me in circles in emails stating they wouldn't refund my money back, but will cancel my services. After stating several times that I didn't want to deal with them any longer and that they weren't listening to what I was saying, I finally am here writing this complaint.

I have received one service almost 4 weeks ago. Since then I have received three notifications (one today) that a crew was on their way but no one ever showed up. I get the same runaround from support about sending another crew or am ignored when I message the crew on the app. My lawn now needs attention badly but I cannot depend on this company to get the job done. I would NOT recommend them. It was a waste of time.

I use LawnStarter for my lawn service. I was originally told that my lawn person would be at my house June 2-3. He never showed up. I called customer service and was then told he would be at my house June 3-4. Again, he didn’t show up. I was then sent an email from my lawn guy stating that he didn’t believe I was handicapped and that I was just giving a sob story. I am on permanent disability from being brutally attacked by a student and I had a heart attack from the injuries. I was then told by him that I was fired! Then LawnStarter sent me an email that another person was assigned the job for June 4-8. He also never showed up. After I called LawnStarter for the 10th time I was promised that he would be there June 8-9. That was today. He never showed up after I was promised that he would send me an email today with the time he would be here. I never received an email nor did he show up! I have been asking to speak to a supervisor for a week and was told that one was not available. As things stand I’m supposed to be given a third crew on June 10-11. I have given up on LawnStarter and decided to file against their business practices.

On May 29th LawnStarter sent a crew to mow my lawn. I have been getting regular lawn maintenance by this company.
I noticed a bank charge of $70.09 on my account on 6/2/20. I sent a message to LawnStarter stating that I had been overcharged. They sent me a response that I had tall grass which means it was OVER 9-12 inches and I was being charged 100% my normal twice. So once for the regular mow and now double the amount for the "long grass".

I have also had lawn maintenance and have NEVER had a long grass fee. I was recently laid off due to COVID and because the last time in May my lawn did not need a 2 week maintenance, I skipped one regular mow, so the next time LawnStarter came out, they tried to recoup the lost 2 weeks by doubling the last trip and stating a long grass fee.

I asked them to provide pics which they did and nowhere in those pics did I see a proper yardstick measure. They took EXTREMELY close up pics that were enlarged to make the grass appear larger but it was nowhere near being over 9 inches. I then called and asked that a supervisor call me and was told I would hear back within 24 hours. No supervisor ever called me back.

Do not use!!! Horrible experience. First time around they wouldn't let me remove my credit card and cancel services. After figuring I was stuck using them they assigned me three different crews and each crew never showed up. Excuses like you wouldn't believe. One crew had their lawnmower stop working and called to cancel within 1 hour from time of service. The next crew accepted service and on the way decided they do not push mow so I got canceled. Third crew (which I do not even think I was assigned a third one) LawnStarter emailed me the morning of service saying they had finally canceled my subscription for me! However, I still can't remove my credit card on file and they will not do it for me.

Twice I requested to have me lawn mowed but both times the company never showed. Because of this, I cancelled the service. I even received the following confirmation email:

Hi ***,

Thank you for contacting me with the concerns that have led you to want to cancel our service.

First, I would like to apologize for any issues our service has caused that has made you want to look elsewhere for your lawn care needs. This does not meet our standards and I will be looking into how we can improve our services here.

I have handled your request to cancel your account at this time. Your subscription is now fully canceled and you will no longer receive services nor will you be billed for any future services. I would be happier still to find a way that we could keep you as a valued client!

Here are a few things I can offer to do for you if you reactivate:

1. Clear up any issues with your current crew to ensure their success
2. Switch your current crew to another one of our top-rated crews
3. Fix any issues you might have had with your old crew

I'll hold your spot with one of our top-rated crews for 48 hours in case you change your mind (I can even offer you a $10 credit if you'll give us another try).

I hope I was able to help you out with your request. Thanks for choosing LawnStarter and we hope to see you back with us in the future!

Unfortunately today, May 21st, Lawncare sent out a request for lawn care service to my property. The crew began cutting my lawn when I saw them and told them to stop. One of the workers gave me a phone number to call *** and I explained to Customer Service the situation. The first person hung up on me. The second person told me to tell the workers to leave the property by then the workers mowed the front yard, not the back.

I am formerly a customer who signed up scrub trimming service. I agreed to get 25 shrubs on the right side of my house. I was quoted over $300. When the company showed up they did not have the equipment to complete the agreed upon work, they went to the left side of the house and trimmed 6-7 shrubs then claimed they would return the following morning with the larger shrub trimmer to do the work on the right side. The unrequested work was uneven and sloppy. When they left I received an email that the work was completed. The next morning nobody showed up, when I complained that the work was not done, I was told that the policy was to come back and fix the work. After reviewing the workmanship, I canceled my service and revoked permission to use my card on file with the company. I went thru a different company and got the job done correctly for $125 less. Then the company charged $380 to my card. I was told that because some work was done the bill was payable.

BECAREFUL!In total I had 2 cuts with them and had to terminate my account immediately after. While the app works well and the UI is very intuitive they will charge you an arm and a leg. Initially I was quoted 37.00 for my lawn but after each cut I was getting charged 60+ on every time they cut my grass. Each time I called and I was told about all the additional fees that was added on top of the original quote. BE ADVISED, my front yard ( they were only cutting my front yard) is around 25X5 feet. While they have good customer service and diligent crews, they will over charge you 100-150 % out of whim without any notification and if you don’t pay attention to your bank account they will just rob you of that money.

They broke sprinkler heads (I saw as it happened and the guy kept looking back, he knew what he did) and I started taking pictures as I was home and immediately called their toll-free number. As I was explaining what happened I noticed that they had also shattered a window glass in the backyard. Meghan was the one that took the call and claimed that is why they are insured and wanted me to keep their services. I submitted photos and they haven't emailed me or called me and left me a message. I then got on Twitter and contacted @*** who is supposed to be a *** and co-founder of *** and he never replied or contacted me. I made the mistake of trying them out because of the $19 special.

I have had nothing but terrible experience with them. Multiple crews. They'd say they mowed and didn't (which they made me prove with photos so I had to photograph my lawn in the mornings before work and after then fight with customer service after work), slammed into my metal basement window protector ripping it out of the concrete (their solution to that one was to push it back against the house and call it good), mowed over my flower beds multiple times (up and over wood guards killing my lilies), and last but not least... After canceling last year they showed up this year when an 18 year old neighborhood kid was doing my lawn and instead of coming to the door, towered over the kid giving him a hard time until he came and got me. Cowering. It took threatening to call the police to get them off my property and they still marked the service complete and tried to charge me for it.
I can't believe no one in Columbus has reviewed this yet, but look at the Revdex.com ratings for every other city. I'm not alone!
Absolutely the worst service I've ever dealt with!
