This is in response to further correspondence you received regarding the above referenced complaint. Mr. [redacted] is also listed as spouse on another membership under [redacted]. The membership under [redacted] began 1/25/16 after an online application was received and processed. Upon research of this Revdex.com complaint, it was found that the bank information used for payment was the same as on Mr. [redacted]'s cancelled membership. A Legalshield Member Service supervisor contacted Ms. [redacted] regarding this complaint and about continuation of her membership. Ms. [redacted] expressed the same concerns with the associate Real [redacted], and stated she did not sign up for membership. Our review of all the files indicate that the Provider Attorney was contacted multiple times for legal issues on Ms. [redacted]'s membership, from 2/11/16 through 9/21/16. As the membership was used to obtain legal services, Ms. [redacted] would have been aware she had an active LS membership. LegalSheild was never previously contacted about cancelling this membership. As in our previous response, Mr. [redacted]'s complaint has been thoroughly researched. Mr. [redacted]'s associate records were examined and it was found he had enrolled 3 individuals and were paid commission on those sales. Mr. [redacted] could not provide any information to support other memberships he felt should have been accredited to him. Regarding his personal dispute with Mr. [redacted], we are not involved or responsible for civil complaints and actions filed between you and Mr. [redacted]. The membership for [redacted] is now cancelled. There are no fees being considered for a refund. As it was indicated Mr. [redacted] cancelled the card being used for LS payments with the credit company, we suggest he contact his card company regarding dispute of charges. There are no further actions we can take on this complaint, and are closing our file.

RE: [redacted] Complaint Case No. XXXXXXXX
Membership No. XXXXXXXXXXX
This letter is in response to the above...

referenced complaint.
Mr. [redacted]'s complaint is that he has a legal matter and the Provider firm will not assist. He states that although the membership is currently cancelled, he previously paid three months membership fees and is entitled to have a letter written in his behalf.
Mr. [redacted] first became a member with LegalShield (LS) on 5/29/15. His web application was processed for $29.95, which was for the first month LegalShield (LS) membership fee of $19.95 and included a $10.00 enrollment fee. The application authorized the monthly fees to be drafted on his credit card.
Upon enrollment, a member is assigned to a Provider Law Firm, which provides legal services to our members within a given area. Our Provider Attorney, Kivel & Howard LLP, provides the contract benefits for our Oregon members. We have a very efficient attorney complaint resolution system, in which LegalShield investigates all complaints filed by members against Provider Law Firms and Provider Attorneys. Determinations for resolving these complaints are made based on the provisions of the membership contract. LS has investigated the Provider Attorney inquiry regarding the matter referred to in Mr. [redacted]'s complaint to your office. Based upon our review of his member file, the initial intake for this issue was entered on 7/17/15. Documents from the member were reviewed, and a demand letter regarding the collection matter was written and mailed on 7/30/15 to the adverse party.
On 8/8/15 Mr. [redacted] called our Member Services wanting to cancel his membership. In regard to the call, a 30-day hold was placed as a courtesy on his membership files to stop the draft from his credit card for the August 28th draft for the LS payment. In accordance with the General Provision "P" of his membership, Mr. [redacted] was informed we require written request to be received to complete cancellation.
On 8/18/15, the Provider Attorney had an in-depth consultation with Mr. [redacted]. The response from the adverse party said Mr. [redacted] had been sent a money order but it had returned as undeliverable. The Provider Attorney followed this discussion by sending a 2nd letter instructing the adverse party requesting the payment be sent to the Provider's office and they would forward to Mr. [redacted]. Per later communication with the post office, it appears there were many problems with delivery of correspondence between Mr. [redacted], the adverse party, and the Provider Attorney. The Provider Firm received a money order from the adverse party on 9/17/15 and forwarded it to Mr. [redacted]. It is noted our company received Mr. [redacted]'s written cancel request on 9/11/15, which was posted to his membership.
[redacted]
November 5, 2015
Page 2
Mr. [redacted] contacted the Provider Attorney on 10/20/15 and stated he had received a money order but that the sender had put a stop payment on it. He wanted another letter to be sent to the adverse party. At this point, he was informed that his services were exhausted; that contract benefits had been provided for documents reviewed and for two letters written on his behalf, and foremost, that his membership had been cancelled for over a month.
After our review of all available information, we have determined Mr. [redacted] legal matters were handled in accordance with the provisions of his membership contract. Although we empathize that his legal matter has not yet been resolved , there are no continued services available under Mr. [redacted]'s cancelled membership. Should you have any further questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact our office.

RE: [redacted] Complaint Case No. XXXXXXXX
Membership No. XXXXXXXXXXX
This is in response to further correspondence you received regarding the above referenced complaint.
Mr. [redacted] states that his legal matter is still not resolved and wants an attorney to continue to assist him.
Mr. [redacted] agrees that the Provider Attorney did a good job regarding the services they had provided on this collection matter. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] consciously cancelled his LS membership on 9/11/15. He has since called our Member Services requesting legal aid and was informed he would need to reactivate the membership in order to continue assistance for any legal service benefits. Mr. [redacted] declined to request for reinstatement of his membership contract.
As it is unfortunate that his legal situation has not be resolved, there is nothing more we can do at this time. There are no service benefits available under this cancelled membership. We consider this matter closed.

I have found out about 1 week ago that some accounts are hidden from view where the consumer has no knowledge of what actions are not being disclosed. Legal shield ID and or Equifax continue to engage in questionable behavior Public Record Fraud, Public Information Fraud, FCRA, FCDPA violations. I would liketo suggest to Revdex.com "Trust is a two way street" not a one way street. The credit scores were written and turned over to the Oklahoma Attorney General as stated on the paperwork-credit scores it is clear that these companies cannot be trusted to handle records ;futhermore, Legalshield ID gave a welcome letter dated 07/25/2017 this is between 05/02/2017 and 01/22/2018 all bills were paid and I have receipts on all accounts to demonstrate that these companies cannot be trusted. I am sorry but I cannot trust these companies anymore and I wish them the best of luck with their endeavers no hard feelings but the fact of the matter is the "legal system" and the private companies who work with them have some very ? behavior. I am very disappointed at the behavior of Prepaid legal services and Equifax for ? behavior.

The company did refund my money after I filed a complaint through the Revdex.com. However the company blatantly lies when they say that they were not contacted by me until after the Revdex.com complaint.I have email records to show proof that I contacted the company prior to filing...

my complaint with the Revdex.com and what the company actually did was not read or respond to my emails until after I fileda complaint through the Revdex.com.Overall I am happy that I got my money back which I fully believe was due to my Revdex.com complaint, but I still feel this company needs to be held accountable for their blatant lying to the Revdex.com about not being contacted by me until after a Revdex.com complaint was filed. How many other people have they lied about in the past and gotten away with it?

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I am asking for my funds to be refunded because as I stated previously  I am unhappy with the services provided and I do not feel legalshield cared or respected my situation or concerns. I felt...

like I was being strung along by the company. The fact that the company charged me to send one letter that they would have no intention of further assisting me with my case they made my situation worse. Now I have to take this company to smalls claims court and represent myself after the legalshield decided to no longer assist me with the case, even though records show that a letter was sent to me by legalshield claiming they would assist me with the case. They did not offer me any assistance with building a case. It was a waste of my time, energy, and money and yes I would like a full refund and cancelation of membership. 5/13/16 $27.956/13/16 $17.957/11/16 $17.95 That is a total of 63.85 and legalshield did not help me resolve my issue at all. I did not use of the other service's offered and I explained in detail what I exactly I needed assistance with so I am asking for a refund and cencelation of membership. Thank You
Sincerely,

[redacted]This letter is in response to the above referenced complaint. Mr. [redacted] states he has was refused services for his legal matter.  He relays he has spent hours on the phone trying to get resolved. Mr. [redacted] states he records all his calls, but had not been informed that LS had recorded calls until he his issue about getting legal assistance.  After he told LegalShield staff and attorneys he was filing a state bar complaint, they refused him any help.  He was especially upset to receive a letter that his membership was rescinded and he had no access for services.  Mr. [redacted] requests continued legal assistance for five cases he needs resolved or to pay for an outside attorney to assist. Mr. [redacted] held a LegalShield (LS) membership from 4/29/13 until 11/29/13.  On 3/9/16 Mr. [redacted] called our LS Member Service and requested to be reinstated.  A $17.00 charge on his credit card, processed and activated the membership. It is company policy that a member is informed on every call, that the call may be recorded for quality assurance. Per review of his membership, on 3/21/16,  Mr. [redacted] contacted his Provider Attorney regarding a legal issue. After a consultation and documents were submitted, it was agreed that a letter would be written on his behalf.  Mr. [redacted] was dismayed when he found the letter could not be sent the same day. The call escalated and Mr. [redacted] demanded a supervisor, stating he was filing a report with the state bar.  On 3/31/16 a formal complaint was entered through our company in regard to Mr. [redacted] not being satisfied with our procedure times for services.  It is indicated there was difficulty in communication between the Provider Attorney and Mr. [redacted]. After several missed calls from Mr. [redacted], and also form the Provider to Mr. [redacted], the supervising attorney successfully reached him.  The Provider Attorney spoke with Mr. [redacted] and explained, although a conflict had been found with one of the parties involved, benefits were still available through a LS network attorney as a referral.  Mr. [redacted] refused the offer of a referral and was adamant his matter be attended to by the Provider Attorney. He was abusive throughout the discussion, and after stating he would file a state bar complaint, he disconnected the call. On 4/5/16, per information by his Provider Attorney, LegalShield took our company option to rescind Mr. [redacted]’s membership. Per our contract, General Provision R, the Company may cancel the Contract if in the professional judgment of the Provider Attorney, the Member is unable, unwilling or incapable of accepting  or understanding legal advice and services. It was found that our service could not benefit Mr. [redacted] and he was notified his membership was cancelled. His credit card was refunded $17.00, which is fee processed on his reinstatement.  Mr. [redacted] will need to seek legal assistance through other sources as his membership is terminated. We find there is nothing more we can do for Mr. [redacted], and have closed our file.  Respectfully,[redacted]Consultant, Regulatory Compliance

RE: [redacted] Complaint Case No. XXXXXXXX
Membership No. XXXXXXXXXXX

This letter is in response to the above referenced...

individual's complaint.
Mr. [redacted] enrolled for a LegalShield(LS) membership 3/27/15. An initial payment for $29.95 was authorized by credit card for the first month's membership fee of $19.95 and included a non-refundable $10.00 enrollment fee. Future drafts for monthly fees of $19.95 were set for the 27th of each month.
Mr. [redacted]'s complaint is that he had expected a letter be drafted by the Provider Attorney for his legal issue, but didn't receive or get a follow-up by the attorney. He missed his deadline with the other party and has jeopardized his position. He states the communication between the Provider Attorney and also with the main LS office, is ineffective and unhelpful. He is requesting a full refund for all membership fees. He also says he wants misleading advertising to stop and demands better assistance regarding member service issues.
Our Provider Attorney, Parker Stanbury LLP, provides the contract benefits for our California members. We want to assure Mr. [redacted] our Provider Attorneys are carefully selected based on a number of factors, including recommendations from other lawyers in the area, bar association standing, client references, evaluation of education, experience and areas of practice of the lawyers within the firm, and on-site evaluations by our management. Most importantly, the Provider Law firms are evaluated on the firm's customer service philosophy. All of these factors contribute to assuring that our members receive the highest quality of legal services available in their area.
On August 27th the draft for payment was declined, and subsequently on 9/14/15, Mr. [redacted]'s membership went into a pre-cancel status. A pre-cancel notice was mailed, and a phone call made on 9/14/15. Mr. [redacted] responded to the call and stated he was having a communication issue with the attorney. When the Member Service Professional informed him that LS has a team to assist on service issues, he indicated he would call back at a later time. The next contact by Mr. [redacted] to our Member Services was on 9/22/15. He was upset, stating he had sent numerous emails and received no response. The Member Service Professional entered filed a service complaint regarding his Provider Attorney. We have a very efficient attorney complaint resolution system, in which LegalShield investigates all complaints filed by members against Provider Law Firms and Provider Attorneys. Per available information in Mr. [redacted]'s file, his legal issue was discussed with a Provider Attorney and agreed a letter would be written; additional information was needed from Mr. [redacted] to draft the letter. Mr. [redacted] was upset when he later found that his email with information was not received. He resent the email, but again did not receive a copy of the attorney's letter. After contact from our office, it was verified that the attorney had sent out correspondence to the other party and that Mr. [redacted] has now received his copy. As he still needed assistance on this matter, he agreed to continue to discuss with the Provider Attorney. He also added he has a new legal issue and was told that his membership would need to be brought out of pre-cancel in order to assist after an initial consultation.
Since the receipt of this Revdex.com complaint in our office, an attorney in the firm has contacted and is assisting Mr. [redacted]. It does not appear as further action regarding this complaint is needed at this time.
Should you have any further questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact our office.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/09/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Although Legal Shield has been responsive following my Revdex.com complaint the focus of my complaint are the issues prior to Revdex.com and not addressed in their reply.
The reply does not address the misleading advertising which suggests with Legal Shield you have an attorney available 24/7. Or the difficulty in establishing a line of communication with a provider attorney. The system in place for communicating is frustrating, inefficient and lethargic.
This reply doesn't adequately address the draft I requested which was never received. In fact I never received a copy of the letter until 9/22/15.
And yes I stopped paying for membership based on ineffective assistance. I'm sure they'd be happier if members paid and didn't use the service however at some point I decided enough was enough.
This is 2015 and this system can and should be seamless and fruitful rather than frustrating and inefficient.
Their reply does say I called on 9/14/15 and again on 9/22/15 but fails to address the inability to reach member services or the long hold times in excess of 15 minutes from 9/14/15 to 9/22/15 which prevented me from reaching anyone for days on end. They apologized and said it is a problem they are working on. So Im not the first or only person to bring it to their attention.
I wish to ad, when I finally reached Member Services they declined (refused) to connect me to [redacted] Cust. Relations supervisor or provide her e-mail or identify a supervisor by name to speak with me. When I was able to reach [redacted], Member Services Supervisor who was understanding and helpful but declined a method by which to contact her should additional problems arise - effectively inserting a well designed smokescreen to frustrate and prevent a member from receiving assistance in an efficient and expeditious manner.
Their reply claims to have an efficient complaint system in place yet fail to identify it or address my accurate statements which complain about unanswered e-mails and long hold times. In fact, no efficient system exists that I am aware of to this date. If there was an accessible & efficient method to get things back on track this Revdex.com complaint wouldn't be necessary. It was only after I became exhausted with efforts leading nowhere did I decide to contact Revdex.com.
I now have a copy of the letter sent on my behalf (9/22/15). I note the letter shows no research or statutes sited on which I can rely or base my legal position, causing concern as to the effectiveness. In my opinion, one contacts a lawyer for legal opinion and applicable law to support their position, not just an impressive letterhead. Showing you've done your homework with a legal position is the best way to prevent an issue growing into a matter for litigation. I remain hopeful for the desired result. Time will tell.
Thank you,

RE: [redacted] Complaint Case No. XXXXXXXX
Membership No. XXXXXXXXXXX

This is in response to further correspondence you received regarding the above referenced complaint
Mr. [redacted] has responded that his concerns were not addressed. In regard to extended phone hold time when calling Member Services; we understand the frustration when seeking assistance for whatever the reason for the call. All Member Service calls are monitored for servicing aspects including being reviewed for possible adjustments in staffing. We do apologize for the inconvenience of Mr. [redacted] having to wait on hold. Unfortunately, we cannot control the volume of incoming calls for any set period of time. It is our ongoing primary goal of LegalShield Member Service to reduce hold time as well as continuing to provide quality service. Our Member Service line is open 7 A.M. - 7 P.M. M-F, with the busiest time generally being lunch time. We do have 24 hr. staff who assist by email, which may be a better option for Mr. [redacted]. Our 24 hr. phone line is for emergency access. Any service problems reported by the member are forwarded to a Member Service Professional trained to assist and resolve those issues.
As to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint that he emailed to have a draft of his letter by the Provider Attorney before mailing has been thoroughly researched. Mr. [redacted]'s email requested that he be sent a copy of the letter before mailing. The attorney did email the letter, and later the letter was mailed to the other party. The normal procedure is to mail a copy of an outgoing letter to a member. As Mr. [redacted] did not receive a mailed hard copy until a complaint was filed has been addressed with the appropriate staff. Mr. [redacted] continues that the Provider Attorney did not include legal statutes or other support for his position in the letter written, and was ineffective. Per out contract benefits, it is the Provider Attorney's judgment whether a letter will be helpful and offered. Any information contained in the letter is at the discretion of the Attorney.

LegalShield continuously strives to improve efficiency and provide high quality services. Suggestions by our members in specific areas are always appreciated and considered. We hope Mr. [redacted] has a satisfactory conclusion to his current legal matter and will find his membership beneficial for future issues when needed. We consider this matter closed.

[redacted]  This letter is in response to the above referenced complaint. Mr. [redacted]s’s complaint is that he canceled months ago but LegalShield continued to bill for his membership.  He states he spoke to someone and was told he was canceled and would have no more billing.  He says he was charged multiple times in one month. Mr. [redacted] wants a refund of $200 for fees taken he says were not authorized. Mr. [redacted] first became a member with LegalShield on 8/26/15.  His online application was processed for $29.95 for the first month’s LegalShield (LS) membership fee of $19.95  and included a $10.00 enrollment fee.  His application authorized to have the $19.95 a month for his LS membership drafted on his credit card; the draft date was set up for the 26th of every month.   Per receipt of this Revdex.com complaint, we have reviewed Mr. [redacted]’s membership file.  All calls to our LS Member Services and to the Provider Attorney would be logged in this file, as well, as any contact by email or mail.  Our records show that Mr. [redacted] called his Provider Attorney in October 2015 regarding a legal matter, and received a consultation. There was no further contact to the Provider Firm. Mr. [redacted]’s electronic draft date for his monthly fee was the 26th of each month.  When a draft is refused due to a simple decline, our system subsequently retries to draft for the fee.  His payment due on 9/26/15, was declined but did go through on the redraft on 10/5/15; the regularly scheduled 10/26/15 draft was successful.  Likewise, the payment due on 11/26/15 was declined but was honored on the 12/8/15 redraft; the regular 12/26/15 payment was successful.  Mr. [redacted]’s draft for payment on 1/26/16 was refused, later being noted that the charge was being disputed through the credit card company. The membership went into pre-cancel due to the missed payment, and subsequently canceled on 3/28/16, after 45 days of non-payment. As of the receipt of this complaint, there has been no contact to LegalShield Member Services by Mr. [redacted] regarding this membership.  Per the enrollment application and in accordance with the General Provision “R” of his membership contract, you may cancel at any time by giving written notice to the Company. Had Mr. [redacted] contacted our company in any manner, he would have been informed a written request was required.  Additionally, per our contract General Provision “R”, upon written request, the Member shall be entitled  to be reimbursed  the unused  portion of  the membership fees paid for this Contract, the amount to be calculated on a pro-rata basis over the period of the Contract. This membership was paid through  1/26/16, and canceled for non-payment; therefore, there is no fee to be considered for a refund. We want Mr. [redacted] to know that we take our responsibilities very seriously, and take pride in making sure that our business is conducted in accordance with the terms of our membership contracts and with our policies and procedures.  Our billing and cancellation procedures were correctly followed for his membership.  Mr. [redacted]s’s membership is cancelled and we consider this matter closed.  Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contract our office. [redacted] says that that when he contacted LegalShield (LS) regarding the associate, he was retaliated against. He tried to stop the membership by canceling his debit card but still received charges on his bank account. He is requesting all fees paid into LegalShield be refunded. LegalShield (LS) membership sales are made by independent contractors, also known as independent sales associates. These independent sales associates are responsible for contacting and enrolling prospective new members in a LegalShield plan. These associates are not employees of our company, but instead are paid on a commission basis. LegalShield (LS) takes pride in the services we offer to our members and believe they provide many valuable benefits to the individuals who enroll. We want our members to understand the product and access the benefits and our goal is to always ensure that our associates properly solicit sales and follow all the policies and procedures of the company. Those policies and procedures are an integral part of the agreement they sign with us and failure to abide by them will result in termination of their agreement. Mr. [redacted] enrolled for a Lega1Shield membership and also as a selling associate on 6/12/12 by submitting online applications, showing Mr. R. [redacted] as the sponsor. The membership was active until cancelling on 11 /30/12, for non-payment. Our records show he contacted his Provider Attorney for one legal intake during his membership. Review of the files also show Mr. [redacted] sold three memberships as a sales associate, and received commissions on those sales. With the exception of one call from Mr. [redacted] to our Member Service in October 2012 for payment information, we had no contact to our office regarding any complaint with the membership or with the associate, Mr. [redacted]. Upon receipt of this Revdex.com complaint, we have located a second membership under [redacted], with [redacted] listed as spouse. That membership under [redacted] started 1/25/16, and is currently still active. The file show that the Provider Attorney was contacted for legal matters on this membership. Our company conducted review of the allegations in Mr. [redacted]'s complaint. He states the events of concern began before his membership in 2012, with no report of a problem over the past several years. As is indicated by Mr. [redacted] using the membership for legal assistance and by selling memberships, he approved having the legal plan and anticipated continuing to sell. There is no further research to be done on this complaint. Our company has contacted [redacted] to confinn if she desires to continue her membership. The membership is on an automatic draft for payments, and requires to be cancelled by written request to our company. In accordance with the General Provision "R" of her membership contract, you may cancel at any time by giving notice to the Company. The Named Member shall be entitled to be reimbursed by the Company the unused portion of the membership fees paid for the Contract, the amount to be calculated on a pro-rata basis over the period of the Contract. Ms. [redacted] may contact our Member Service tollfree at ###-###-#### for assistance. We want Mr. [redacted] to know that we take our responsibilities very seriously, and take pride in making sure that our business is conducted in accordance with the tenns of our membership contracts and with our policies and procedures. Should he wish to pursue the complaint individually against Mr. [redacted], he will need to take further actions outside of our company. There are no fees being considered to be refunded on this membership or on Mr. [redacted]'s associate agreement file. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contract our office.

RE: [redacted] Complaint Case No. XXXXXXXX
Membership No. XXXXXXXXXXX

This letter is in response to the above referenced...

individual's complaint.
Mr. [redacted] reinstated his LegalShield(LS) membership 7/20/15 by phone application. An initial payment for $17.00 was authorized by credit card for monthly membership fee; future drafts for monthly fees of $17.00 was set for the 20th of each month.
Mr. [redacted]'s complaint is that he feels the letter the Provider Attorney wrote on his behalf was not according to his requests, contained errors, and was not approved by him before it was sent out. He wants another letter written and doesn't think he should have to pay to have that done. He states he has already sent the attorney the changes he wants done in the new letter.
Our Provider Attorney deBeaubien, Knight, Simmons, Mantzaris & Neal, LLP, provides the contract benefits for our Florida members. Our attorneys are well versed and knowledgeable in providing all services under the membership contract.
Mr. [redacted] has filed a service complaint through our offices regarding his Provider Attorney. We have a very efficient attorney complaint resolution system, in which LegalShield investigates all complaints filed by members against Provider Law Firms and Provider Attorneys. Mr. [redacted] indicates in the service complaint that the Provider Attorney did not put the information in the letter he specified, and he did not approve it. Per our contract, General Provision Q, it is at the attorney's professional judgment what actions are appropriate including whether a letter will be written. It was determined by the Provider Attorney that Mr. [redacted]'s direct accusations that the opposing party committed a crime and the demand for sizable restitution was not appropriate in the letter. It is indicated that Mr. [redacted] requested numerous revisions on the content of the letter. There was no note of having to pay for a revised letter. After a review of Mr. [redacted]'s in office complaint regarding his attorney services, we have determined that benefits were provided according our contract and feel the attorney correctly and adequately assisted the member with this case.
Since the receipt of this Revdex.com complaint, our office, as well as, the Provider Attorney has contacted Mr. [redacted] and discussed this matter. It does not appear as further action regarding this complaint is needed at this time.
Should you have any further questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact our office.
Respectfully,

April 1, 2016 Revdex.com Attn: [redacted] 17 South Dewey Oklahoma City, OK  73102               RE:      [redacted]      Complaint Case No. [redacted] Membership...

No. [redacted] This letter is in response to the above referenced complaint. Ms. [redacted]’s complaint is that continued to receive phone calls from LegalShield even after she left her place of employment by which the membership was being paid. She has contacted LegalShield and has requested no further contact by the company.  Ms. [redacted] enrolled for a LegalShield (LS) membership on 7/7/14, with payments for monthly membership fees of $18.95 taken through her paycheck.  In January 2016, LS was informed that Ms. [redacted] was no longer part of the group being payroll deducted for payments.  A pre-cancel letter was sent out 1/26/16 with payment options if Ms. [redacted] decided to continue the membership.  Our system automatically leaves a pre-cancel message, as a courtesy, to any members 30-days after a payment is missed. Pre-cancel calls were made on 1/28/16 and 2/2/16, which left a voicemail with information on how to contact LS regarding the status of the membership.  On 2/8/16, Ms. [redacted] returned the pre-cancel call, and requested no more phone calls, and that she was letting the membership cancel.  Unfortunately, her file was not updated and another call to her was made on 2/23/16. We want Ms. [redacted] to know that we take our responsibilities very seriously, and take pride in making sure that our business is conducted in accordance with our policies and procedures.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and this matter has been addressed with the proper department. Ms. [redacted]’s membership is cancelled, and her file noted for no future contact. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contract our office. Respectfully, [redacted] Consultant, Regulatory Compliance

Ms. Baptise [redacted] became a member of
Lega!Shield (LS) formerly known as Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc., effective
August 2, 2004. The web application authorized payment of $36.00, which was
$26.00 for the first month of LS membership, and$I 0.00 for a non-refundable
enrollment fee. The $26.00...

membership fee is authorized to be drafted on her
bank account on the I5 th of each month.Ms. [redacted]'s complaint is
regarding the legal service by her Provider Attorney. She states the Provider
Attorney's did not provide timely or proper legal assistance. She is requesting
her document to be reviewed at no charge due to lack of service and due to that
she is grandfathered  in, which allows
for a 15 page document to be reviewed free.Upon receipt of this
Revdex.com complaint, we have researched Ms. [redacted]'s membership
information. Her file shows that she contactedthe Provider AttorneyFirm on 5/30/17and requested a document
to be reviewed; she was advised to submit the document. The Firm received her
document on 5/31/17; the document was 16 pages long. The Provider Attorney
contracted Ms. [redacted] on 6/3/17, three business days from receiving the document,
and relayed that due to its length, a review would be under discounted rate
services. It was explained that her membership contract provided a review ofup
to IO pages at no fee. Ms. [redacted] declined services. A supervising
attorney later contacted Ms. [redacted] as a follow-up, again offering services at
the discount. The referral was refused. Ms.
[redacted] did not contact the Provider Firm again regarding this matter. It is unclear what is meant by Ms. [redacted]'s statement of being
grandfathered in and being entitled to benefits of a review of a document over IO pages.
Her contract benefits have remained the same throughout the time she has held
the LS membership, which include a document review of up to IO pages.
We do offer a current Legal Plan membership which has benefits of a document
review ofup to 15 pages, although Ms. [redacted] has not upgraded to that plan.  Ms. [redacted]'s 16 page document would not be
eligible for a free review under either Legal Plan.On review of this membership file and
this complaint, we have determined that Ms. [redacted] was adequately assisted and
was provided benefits according our contractual responsibility. Should she
decide to proceed with legal services by a referral attorney for discount
benefits, she would contact the Provider Attorney, OSK Law. We cannot further
assist in this matter and consider this matter closed.

response per attached file

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: On 1/25/16 Mrs.[redacted]  had an account illegally made in her name without her knowledge by [redacted] and it was received and processed by legal sheild. The bank information that was used was the SAME information that was used for the for Mr.Mantel´s account. I am aware of my original legal shield membership. It was stated before [redacted] was harnessing multiple residents and family's. The membership was then finally purchased to stop the harrassment and to use the legal shield membership to stop [redacted]´s harrasment. The provider attorney was contacted multiple times for the matters concerning [redacted]. Due to legalshields dedicated responsibility to there associates legal shield refused ANY legal service in connection  to [redacted] and he would basically have immunity with legal shield. The same company claiming to have no responsibility for [redacted].Three individuals were inrolled in legal shield and they were all active duty army soldiers including myself. Which [redacted] thought he could use the fact of me being in the military to  his benefit. he would have endless connections and would have spread like a cancer. This company should be black listed or st down. Legal shield is a pyramid schyme which is illegal and somehow still allowed. How can a company choose freely of when they want to take responsibility and when not. Legal shield is the apittimy of Hippocrates and too offer "legal services" is a joke. Legal shield take a legal responsibility.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
