I borrowed $400 on 8/12/2019, paid it off on 9/5/2019 and was charged $157 in interest. (24 days) This is worst than usury. The company needs to be shut down.

Although not required to do so, as a courtesy, the Company will reach out to the customer with an offer to resolve their loan. The customer can call the Company at *** if there are further questions or concerns.

This company loaned me money and has now been collecting over $300 every 2 weeks from my paycheck for more than 5 months on a $1200 dollar loan. I have paid over $3000 dollars and they say I still owe for another 7 months. That is another $4000!! Is this even legal?! Is this legal in the state of Oklahoma where I live? I don't think they have the right to do business in Oklahoma. I did not know I would have to pay over $8000 to borrow $1200. Please help

Lendumo Response • Sep 12, 2019

As a courtesy, even though not obligated to do so, we have closed your subject loan and will consider it paid in full.

Amplify funding gave a loan to someone in my name and with my social security number. When contacted they refused to do anything other than say they verified the information when they gave the loan. The phone number and bank account on the loan isn't associated to me at all. All I needed to log into their system with my email and last 4 of social security number. Their due diligence in providing loans is non-existent and when complained to they refuse to even look into the claims of fraud.

The Company has withdrawn the loan application and it did not issue a loan as a result of theapplication. This account has been placed on the Do Not Call list.

I took a loan out of about $1,200 and the company has been constantly charging me for much more than that. So far as I write this, they have charged me over $2,000. I have tried to work with my son to contact them to understand the charges and why I still owe, but they continue to disconnect our calls and refuse to speak with us.

I took out a loan in February of 2019 for 1200.00 and after 6 months of paying 430.00 a month I still owe over 1000.00. This loan company is rips people off with interest rates over 400%. I want this loan considered pay in full and my account closed immediately. Already paying over double what the original loan was for.

On 2/25/2019 I called Amplify Funding about a $500 loan. They told me I could borrow $500 for 6 months with payments of $172.12. After doing my monthly budget and reviewing my loan on line (showing as a 6 month loan) I called with my case manager on 3/14/19 about whether changes could be made to my 6 month loan to reduce my payment. I was told no changes could be made until after I made at least one payment and then it would only reduce the payment by a few dollars if changed to a 12 month loan. The rep did not dispute me when I said my loan was a 6 month loan.
On June 18, 2019 my case manager and I reviewed my loan on the Amplify website only to find my loan was listed as a 12 month loan. We called the company and the rep confirmed it is a 12 month loan. I requested to speak with a supervisor and was on hold for at least 15 minutes without speaking with a supervisor before I had to hang up.
On July 8, 2019, my case manager and I called Amplify again and another rep stated the loan was a 12 month loan. I requested to speak with a supervisor. After speaking with a supervisor, ***(who stated she is the one who spoke with us on 6/18/2019), she again informed me loan was a 12 month loan. I requested information on how to stop automatic payments and was told to email the company to request stopping the automatic payments.
My complaint is that I believed when I took the loan out that it was for 6 months and not 12 months. Due to my fixed income, I knew I could afford the payments over 6 months, but never would be able to afford over 12 months. Because of this, I have stopped making my payment of $172.12. I did make payments of $172.212 for April, May, June & July 2019 totaling $688.48. I can not afford the monthly payments for an additional 8 months. If I were to pay the loan off over 12 months, I would be paying a total of $2,065.44 for a $500 loan. My monthly income does not support the payment long term while affording groceries, gas, and all my bills.

THE CUSTOMER RECEIVED A LOAN AND HAS MADE MULTIPLE PAYMENTS TOWARDS THE LOAN BALANCE. SHE EXPLAINED SOME FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND ASKED THE COMPANY TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. ALTHOUGH NOT REQUIRED TO DO SO, AS A COURTESY, THE COMPANY WILL CONSIDER THE LOAN PAID IN FULL AND WAIVE THE OUTSTANDING BALANCE.

On August 12th I received a message about a loan I applied for through amplified funding in Lac du Flambeau, WI. I have never applied for a loan with this company or any online loans. On July 5th I received a few strange calls asking me for information regarding online loans I applied for. I suspected someone must be applying for loans using my ss number. I immediately contacted all three credit bureau. and requested a freeze on my credit reports and received copies of credit report. The credit report showed many inquiries on July 5th. This company and another company in the same area both opened accounts for this person. I can only assume they opened account and they are trying to collect on the loan. I have filled out an identify theft report from the FTC website and filed a police report and placed a fraud alert on my credit reports. I am requesting information of who opened this account. This is definitely identity theft. I have also sent a message to this company with this same information.

My husband took out a loan with Amplify and now we have paid back over twice what the loan was for 1200 and now 6 months later we are being told that there is still a balance of 1074.00. An APR of over 400%.... this needs to be investigated and the company needs to be shut down. This is a crime and I am ***!

I took out a loan for $1200.00 and have been making my payments on time every month. I am currently going thru some medical issues and cannot continue making these payments. I have tried to call and request this loan be considered paid in full as I have already paid $1652.36 on this loan, but no one answers the phone. I have called at least 6 times a day. Since I am experiencing difficulty paying this and the principal has been paid including usury interest, I request this loan be considered paid in full.

The interest rate is are higher than usual. The customer service is not customer friendly . Please don't get trapped.

Hello. I just wanted to say the customer service personnel were always kind, informative and knowledgable.

In December 2018 I contracted with Amplify Funding for $850.00.The process was quick and easy. I used these funds for an art exhibit to be displayed with an art gallery for *** Art Week. With my job, making the payments of $292 wasn't really a big deal. Unfortunately, I regret to save I was laid off from my job months ago. It shames me to say my employer though extracting taxes from my check wasn't reporting. I'm currently undergoing a process that has shaken my foundation; causeing me to be evicted as well. I understand this is not the business of ***e. I also understand that as a soveirgn nation you would be concerned with other sovereigns.
I have borrowed $850.00 and have successfully and on time made 6 payments of $292.60 amounting in $1755.60
With my payment due tomorrow of $292.00 making my total payments $2047.60, with 5 more payments due. Unfortunately fortunately I am ashamed to say that I don't have the funds for the payment.
I would humbly ask a one time Special Request of *** to accept a final payment of $100.00 tomorrow and close out my account in good standing. I throw myself at the *** and will be a million times grateful for releif from this unwillful depression.

They took advantage of a 66 yr old Veteran. Never even DREAMED that a company would charge that kind of Interest!

As a courtesy, even though not required to do so, the Company will consider the account paidin full. The Company will waive any outstanding balance on the account. As such, it believes thiscomplaint has been resolved.

They are attempting to bill me for a loan that I DID NOT receive. They gave me no money and are attempting to take money from me. This seems borderline criminal.

Lendumo Response • Aug 08, 2019

The complainant asked the Company to stop contacting him. The Company will cease allcommunications. The Company also confirms that it has voided the customer’s loan application and itwill not issue a loan.

I was not informed about how high the interest rate would be (400%). I am a 63 year old women living on disability. I took out a loan originally for $1200 in Feb. When I mentioned to my daughter that I had been paying $413 since Feb and my they continue to take money out of my account and I have NEVER received a bill in the mail, she contacted them for me. That is when I found out about the high interest rate. My payoff amount $1496 for a $1200 loan that I have already paid on for 6 months. When my daughter tried to pay it off they told her, they couldn't process it because her account wasn't the authorized checking account to make payments on. She had to email them a voided check and it would take 24 hours to process. This means I would not get to pay it off until Monday because of the weekend. There is no way to pay it online either. Now, I will owe more. Each additional day is costing $35 in interest.

When I applied for a $1000.00 loan I was not made aware of the payment plan. I have paid over $2400.00 to them for this loan. I have called their client service and all she tells me is that I will have to make the payments either by check or ACH. I informed that I have paid them as much as I am going to. I told them I was turning them over to the Revdex.com and she just keep telling me the amount that I still owed. I asked them to stop the ACH which she said she would. This company is a big rip off. Their client agents do not explain to you how much you are taking the loan for and what you will be paying. I told her I was not paying another dime to them. They sent me an email and I answered it by telling them I was not going to pay any more money to them.
