Lendumo Reviews (%countItem)

I took a small loan out for $400, I was told by a rep when I took the loan out that I could pay it off with interest after I’ve paid $561 (don’t remember the exact change). I thought that was a good deal for a loan. Up to date I’ve paid 688.95. I went to chat with a rep to see why I have not paid it off yet and was told I would be done 2/10/2021 and the finance charge is $1252.40. HOW IS THIS LEGAL?! On 400? An interest of 403.15%?!? That is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! I told them I’ve paid more than just the $400 borrowed and they will not receive a dime more from me!!! That has to be ILLEGAL on so many levels!!!

I am writing regarding Loan Number *** . I have many concerns regarding the legality and validity of this loan.

I cannot find that Lendumo or Niswi, LLC are registered, as required, in the State of Ohio where I am a resident. I feel that I have been a victim of an illegitimate loan company operating in my state.

At this point, I have repaid the principal amount of $625.00, and have paid an additional $855.64 in interest and fees. I request that this loan be closed, and that I receive a paid in full/closed letter in writing.

On 5/26/2020 I requested a loan for $725 from lendumo. I agreed for the payment of $188 everytime I got paid which is bi-weekly. I’ve made 5 payments so far and I went to go check how much I have left and it says I have 7 more payments and with those 7 payments alone the amount comes up to $1,320 For a $725 loan? That’s ridiculous I am a 22yo trying to scrape by as it is since my work was effected by COVID-19 and I’m barely starting to get back on my feet, these payments are beyond ridiculous! I wish to only pay back what I owe and be done with thus awful website

I took a loan with this company and then had my hours cut at work due to pandemic. I only owe 600.00. I reached out to customer service and the rep advised me to send an email to customer service stopping my ach withdrawals and I could be put on a payment plan. I did just that. I have the emails where I did the ACH revoke. I received one email from them saying I was in default and could they put me on arrangements, the total they now had was over 1100.00 for a 600.00 loan. I said yes and asked if I could get a payoff or settlement amount, as I was going to borrow money from family to get this taken care of. No response for a week and then I got a email that I had been transferred to a collection agency. All of this has happened in two weeks, they never gave me a chance and now I'm in collections. I have tried to reach out to them and they keep saying they can't help me I'm with a collection agency.

I took a loan out with this company March of 2020. It was for $1000.00 Since then I have paid them $1530.16 abd still owe them about another 500-600. I have paid the loan along with extra. During this pandemic I have not worked as many hrs and it is hard for me to pay this every 2 weeks. They have received all the money from me plus more. I would like this loan closed.

In November 2019 I contacted, initiated and received a loan from Lendumo for $1300, and to date have paid $2685 back on this loan. On May 27, 2020 I contacted them and asked for a settlement amount and was advised by Shirley Eusanio that I would need to pay another $1200 in order to payoff early. I advised that due to the pandemic I could not afford to pay, Shirley advised that in order to get any other arrangement I should not pay the loan for 2 months. I did this and now the account is in collections. Their loan practices are predatory and outrageous. I do appreciate the ability to borrow on short notice and the amount given for an unexpected expense, but I can no longer afford to pay them and seeing that they have already received more than double the amount borrowed I should have at least been given better negotiating terms. Especially during a national crisis.

Niswi, LLC dba Lendumo is a commercial enterprise and instrumentality of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. They did a scam type loan preying on hardship clients. I was in the Hospital with health issues and they had sent a "Pre-qualified" card and called me about a loan. I borrowed $1100.00 I made some payments of $363.35 My balance is almost $4,000.00 ( wow!) after 4 payments. This is outrageous at any time, MUCH LESS the time we are now living in. They told me NO terms for partial payment is available. They ARE A SCAM !

I applied for the loan and decided I want to cancel I keep getting the run around and only have two days to cancel. I want them to take funds back but I am being enforced and I feel it is purposely so they can charge interest. I called ahead of time they said I had to wait until funds hit account. Then I called once hit account then they said I needed to talk to a live agent in which it said they read message but did not respond. Then I sent and email as instructed again on the phone and they confirmed they received it yet still no response. I need them to cancel this loan because the interest is ridiculous and I did not read what I was signing. I would appreciate if they got back to me.

As I read several posts here already, I feel like there's not much more to add. What ppl have stated is true. Especially about the interest scam they do on you. I made a payment on time with tracking proof from Priority Mail and they denied receiving it. I had to pay late fee and internet on full amount until they acknowledged receipt of payment. This is a scam. Even though they finally admit receiving it on time, they refuse to give me a refund of the overpaid interest. They just hung up on me. Very bad ppl in a terrible predatory lender (loan shark) company! Stay away!!

+1

I received a high interest rate loan in the amound of $1100 from Lendumo due to struggles from my son being diagnosed with cancer. I specifically asked about early payoff with no penalties. I was told that yes, they encourage people to pay off early. So, after four payments of $341.34, I expected my payoff amount to be reasonable. When I requested a payoff amount, I was told it was $1340.67. So in two months, I have paid $1365 and I still owe $1100 is $1500. This cannot be legal!
In addition, I have learned that this company is not licensed to do business in WA state. Also, not legal.
In four weeks I have already paid more than what I borrowed. This cannot be the way this company does business! So unfair, so inhumane.

Back in February 2020 I had a short term financial emergency for immediate need for car repairs. I borrowed $1,900.00 from Lendumo expecting to pay it off in 2-3 paychecks due to the high interest. In March 2020 I was furloughed from work due to COVID. I lost all income and was not receiving unemployment. I called Lendumo 2-3 times starting in March 2020 explaining that I was furloughed and I was not expected to return to work until either July or August. I advised them that I will not be making a payment until after I return to work because food for my children was more important at the time. I clearly, multiple times stated that as soon as I return to work I will resume my payment obligations. The customer service rep was kind, understanding and stated he would note my account and I would not continue to get "collection calls" during this pandemic. At that time I had already made $1,210.00 in payments towards the $1900.00 loan. I returned to work August 3, 2020 and that same day I called Lendumo and advised them I was back to work and ready to reinstate my payment and pay off my remaining balance. They then advised me that I currently owe $4,500.00!!!! At no time was I advised by the "Kind, Understanding" representative in March 2020 that they were going to CONTINUE TO CHARGE DAILY INTEREST. Not one time did I receive any documentation stating that I was going to pay $1000.00 a month in interest and penalties during a worldwide pandemic!! When I advised them I was furloughed from work and will not be able to make payments for a couple of months, the interest and penalties should have stopped then but it did not. Topping off by NOT ADVISING ME that I was going to continue to be charged astronomical interest regardless of my loss of income and employment/IE HARDSHIP REQUEST. This is the most disgraceful, dirty, predatory loan I have every had in my life. LENDUMO IS A PREDATOR LENDER!! I will gladly pay exactly what I borrowed, $1,900.00 and they have already collected $1,210.00 interest which I gladly paid. It is absolutely ROBBERY to charge $5,710.00 for a 5-6 month $1,900.00 loan.

DO NOT BORROW FROM THEM!

I want to make a complaint about Lendumo, an organization that claims to be a tribal lending company.

Address: PO Box 542, Lac Du Frameau, WI 54538
Phone: 877-558-1999
Fax: 888-727-3183

When I checked my email this afternoon, I found three questionable emails from Lendumo. 1) At 11:17am, I received an email that my loan application had been received. 2) At 11:21, I received a password change email. 3) At 12:11pm, I received notice that the $1500 loan had been funded. I'd never heard of this company, let alone applied for a loan.

My first suspicion was that these were phishing emails, so I opened a new browser and searched google for "Lendumo". I found their site immediately. The email address from the messages matched the site, as did the phone numbers. I called the number and spoke with Kenya. I said I wanted to report a fraud. I gave my phone number. She asked me to verify my date of birth and the last 4 of my ssn. I refused to do so. She said the only thing I could do in that case would be to file a police report and fax it to them. After all of the information she'd given about the company matched the website, I relented and verified the last 4 on my ssn and my birthday. Kenya said the information didn't match the loan and she couldn't help me. She said the only thing I could do was fax in a police report. I said I would call the police and go from there.

I called my County Sheriff & spoke with a deputy. We each made calls to Lendumo customer service but were unable to get any additional information. I spoke with a "supervisor" *** (last name refused), who said they would not even provide information on what would happen with the police report. I expressed concern, saying their organization has some of my personal information now but with the police report, they would have all of my personal information and I want to know how they would keep it secure and what they would do with it & what next steps would be taken. *** refused to tell me. I ended the call and spoke with the Deputy Sheriff again. We agreed Lendumo should NOT receive a copy of the police report.

I have sent a complaint to the Iowa Attorney General's office, and I'm filing a scam alert and complaint here, with the Revdex.com. Either my information has been used by someone to fraudulently secure a loan OR this company has scammed me out of some of my personal information for nefarious reasons. If this is a genuine error, another person's loan has my phone number and email so I would be the one contacted by collectors. Lendumo refused to tell me what information of mine was in their system, and they refused to remove my information as I could not verify "all" of the account information.

[Please type your response here.]While I appreciate acknowledgement that I have no loan through them, this organization still demands to receive all of my verified personal information through receipt of a police report. I filed case *** with the Polk County Iowa sheriff's office, Deputy *** took the complaint. That's enough information. Considering I feel this organization is attempting to defraud me, I'm not about to give them 100% access to my information. Especially notwnot I'm told they can't tell me what they will do with my information and how they will protect it because I "can't verify all information on the account" so they cannot talk to me about anything.

I have called the company several times. Law enforcement had called the company on my behalf. Unilateral, I was informed that,b I could not verify the information they had in their system, they COULD NOT TALK TO ME about the use of my information. The organization STILL has not explained why providing them with all my personal information - information that is verified as correct through a police agency or a government entity - is SAFE, nor have they explained how they will ensure my information is secured. Why would I give MORE information to a company that is potentially committing fraud against me? How does giving unfettered access to ALL my personal information help? I am simply asking for verification that ALL my information has been removed from their system. There's no rational reason for them to need MORE of my information before doing so.
Regards

Why is this company still in business? Because they go by Tribal Law so they don't have to follow Federal Law of predatory rates? This business is proof you can just buy an A rating with the Revdex.com. It should be an F. I have seen many loan contracts and 299% interest rates!! Do NOT take loans out here.

I borrowed $525 from them in November 2019. Interest rate over 600% biweekly payments of approximately $136. I have four remaining payments and have lost my income due to COVID-19. They delayed three payments but I am still not working and have asked for their help. They say they can do no more. I’ve already paid back almost 4 times what I borrowed.

I received a collection letter from a third party agency in regard to an unpaid account with Lendumo. I have never heard of this company.
The principal is $776.99, interest to date is $480.26, and I'm assuming collection agency fees of$120.00, which equals $1,377.25.
As originally stated, I've never heard of this company and cannot afford to pay this debt due to my inability to work at this time.

Here are copies explaining how I tried for over 3 Hours today to PAY-OFF my loan.

From 12:20p.m. until after 3:00p.m. today I tried with 12 e-mails and 7 or 8 phone calls to pay off my loan. NO ONE WILL HELP they just say system problems so not getting my e-mails. (Odd-every other business I work with got the mails I sent.) So, I found this LLC Add. in my loan docs. and am trying one more time. PLEASE call me at ========= if you get this. Even an e-mail acknowledgment would be appreciated. I tried to get *** and was told that wasn't possible. So, I dealt wit others until after 3:00p.m. I tried, my bank is closed now!!! THIS IS ABSURD that I can't get them t take a pay-off! Oh I forgot, they can charge more finance charges the longer they are unpaid!!

Sincerely;
***

I was approved for a short term loan on July 13, and never received it.
Lendumo keeps saying they sent it.
My bank said the money was never wired. It will be two weeks tomorrow.
I have verified my banking info numerous times with this company.
I have sent copies of my bank statement for the July 13th to prove I did not receive the funds, after going into a local Branch for a print out, of that and a voided check.
The Banker showed me the transaction.
It came in with no funds attached.
My first payment is due next week and I haven’t received the funds.

Customers wire returned with R13 (RDFI not qualified to participate). The wire returneddue to the customer using a Chase Secured Checking account, which does not accept wiretransfers. Lendumo does not fund Chase Secure or Chase Liquid Accounts.Customer is still eligible to loan, but she will need to verify another applicable checkingaccount.
