Lenovo Reviews (105)

Lenovo has made the last 6 months of my life unnecessarily chaotic and stressful due to their inefficiency and lack of effective fixes to my computer.
I sent the computer off to be fixed around March 2016. It was due to a corrupt hard drive that continuously switched the computer on and off from blue screen to black screen. I received the computer back and within a few weeks the problem returned, and I sent it back to be fixed again.
During this time I was an architecture student and could not work outside of the school's computer lab due to not having a laptop, which was extremely inconvenient.
I then received my computer back again, turned in on immediately, AND THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE. It switched from blue screen to black. I look at the sheet that came with the computer and it said that only the keyboard was fixed. I called Lenovo and they said the hard drive was definitely also replaced. We tried to do a fix over the phone (which took forever) but it just stayed on a black screen. Then I randomly receive a hard drive and some discs in the mail with no explanation. Then a service guy from Lenovo calls me and says he can come over and fix my computer, and that he's sorry I received the hard drive and disks, and that he's never heard of a customer receiving those. Then he cancels his appointment because his wife was sick, then another guy calls but says he can't meet me, and then FINALLY another guy calls and says he can meet me but he's at lunch and he knows nothing about my case and Lenovo hasn't sent him anything about it and he sounded really irritated to be asked to do this. SO he comes over and installs my hard drive, barely speaks to me, and only installs 3 of the 4 disks he was given because two of them were labeled as #1 and he thought they were the same thing. He was extremely rude and unenthusiastic. Then of course I turn it on and it says that Windows is incorrectly installed and after a 54 minute phone conversation with a new Lenovo tech person we realize it's because the earlier tech didn't even install all the disks. Now I am two weeks into my summer class, without a computer, without access to a computer lab, and I'm having sit here with a PDF Lenovo sent me and install all these disks myself because the 7+ people at Lenovo involved with my case in the past 4 + months have been unable to do it successfully.

Needless to say, I am so frustrated and would not recommend Lenovo to anyone right now PURELY based on customer service.

I bought thinkpad YOGA 14 on thanksgiving of 2014. When I received the laptop, I found that this laptop will randomly shut down while I was using the battery. Then I called the service center, they changed my mother board. After the changing, they fixed the shut down problem but the system could not recognize my graphic card. So I call them again, they said I have to change the motherboard again but it was back ordered at that time. So they exchanged a new laptop for me. However, when I got the new laptop, the new laptop still shut down while I was using the battery mode. Then I called the service center agian, they sent a technician and changed my motherboard again. After changing, they temporarily fixed the problem. Then I searched their supporting website, they have a notice about this laptop (https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht102958). This thinkpad has a design deficiency. Almost all thinkpad yoga 14 has this problem. I also checked their supporting forum, people are complaining about this. Not surprisingly, when the warranty expired, the shut down problem on my laptop happened again. I called the supporting center today, the representative was extremely rude (Case number [redacted]) and they refuse to repair this deficient Thinkpad Yoga 14 for free. This make me very angry. This is their design deficiency, they should repair it for FREE! I will NEVER BUY A LENOVO AGAIN!

We sent our Lenovo laptop in for repair under the warranty. Lenovo e-mailed us 9/25/16 confirming receiving the laptop and giving us a case number.

It has been 25 days and after 5 calls to tech support, we have not been contacted by a " customer relations manager" to be able to find out anything about the status of our computer. Customer service provides no means of being able to contact this department and tells us that we just have to wait until they contact us. We were originally told that management would contact us the latest with a resolution by 10/18, 2 days ago. Now we are told that it will be another 2 days before they will assign someone to look at our case.
We are extremely frustrated and our college son has been without a computer for 25, which has been very hard.
Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank You

This started when I purchased a Lenovo Y50 Touch laptop in [redacted] After buying the laptop, in new condition, from an authorized seller, I started experiences hardware problems with this laptop. Not even 3 months after buying it, the left hinge on the computer started breaking off, making the laptop unable to close or move the screen. I didn't think much of this problem, so I sent it for repairs to Lenovo. My laptop came back brand new after a couple weeks, but again, the hinge started breaking off in the same manner not even 2 months after being fixed by their staff. I sent it for repairs a second time, with a promise from customer support that if this problem persisted, they could escalate the case so I could get a new model. And what a surprise I got when the left hinge started giving me problems again. The only problem was that my warranty with the laptop expired between all of these "fixings". Lenovo was unwilling to do anything about the laptop they could never fix without a warranty. They suggested I bought another warranty and MAYBE they would try to fix it again for free. Why would I want to pay for a warranty if I know it's going to break again? Funnily enough, a friend of mine that owned the same laptop model had the same left hinge issue, so I started researching this model and it turns out that the Y50 has a manufacturing problem and was acknowledged by Lenovo. Lenovo keeps selling this model without any warning! This was an expensive model too, so for all that money I payed, I know have a giant paperweight that no one will honor to fix. Never trust Lenovo.

I purchased a laptop from the Lenovo Outlet Website. The laptop I purchased was the "Yoga 3 14" ; I have multiple receipts and a screenshot of the offer on the website. However, the product that was delivered was an inferior, outdated model that was most definitely not the laptop advertised online. Essentially, I paid the price of an expensive product only to be given a older and less expensive model. Despite numerous calls and emails to Lenovo clerks and management alike the issue has yet to be resolved. They refuse to replace my laptop with the proper product and are currently not even answering me about refunds.
