M. I. Hummel Club Reviews (105)

Review: I have been a member of this club for sixteen years. Each year my charge card is charged and I receive a hummel. On February 19, 2013 I was charged $47.25 on my charge card. I was expecting the Hummel "Parlor Pal" to be delivered to me per the membership renewal notice. This Hummel never arrived.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $47.25 payment made, preferably by check, but can be credited to my charge card if this is the only option.

Review: I have been with the Hummel Club for years. Each yr you get a hummel for renewing your membership dues of $47.25. Then a hummel is mailed to your house. I never received the hummel. I called about 15 times and they 1st said the hummel was on hold on making them due to production issues. Then after calling many times they then said they were now making them but were mailing them on the date of the renewals. They kept saying check back in 2-3 months. I also sent e-mails. I received another renewal again. I called them back and said I was not renewing since I have not got the previous hummel. They said it will come. I told them to cancel renewal and once I receive it then I will call back and renew again. I now called them again and the phone is not in service. I e-mailed and the e-mail is not active.Desired Settlement: I would like the hummel named "Parlor Pal". or any other hummel. If no hummel then my money back by check or credit card. My credit card they have on file has been canceled.

Review: I have been a member of this club for years I sent in my membership October 2012 and was supposed to get a Hummel figurine . They did not deliver I called their number several times and talk to people who kept telling me it was a delivery issue and I would get it .when I call this fall again after over a year of being put off every couple a months they did not answer their phone and now the number will not ringDesired Settlement: To get the figurine I was supposed to get when I sent in my membership

Review: I have been a member of the MI Hummel Club for 25 years. I paid for my annual dues for 2013. I never received my figurine for the membership year. I spoke to someone on August 1, 2013 and was told that there was a problem with production and that the figurines were actually shipping in August and that I should have it late August or September. I tried calling from September 2013 until January of 2014, and have not been able to get through. In December, a message said that the voicemail box was full and to try their website. I did and sent an email. I have not yet heard back. Now, in January, the phone is disconnected and the website is shut down.Desired Settlement: I want my figurine that I paid for, or a full refund.

Review: Have been a MI Hummel Club member for over 15 years. Paid for club year 2012 and 2013 never received product or money back. Have been in contact with them and was told that the problem of their bankruptcy was resolved and would be receiving my product alphabetically, and club members would receive their pieces first. Was suppose to receive by July 2013. Nothing arrived. Emailed three more times over the next few months and was told that production was still going and that I would receive my club pieces. After over a year and a half they no longer answer email, telephone has been shut off and the MI Hummel club website is gone. So I am out 150.00 bucks and two years of christmas presents from my husband.Desired Settlement: I would like my two MI Hummel pieces and all of the club merchandise or I would like my 150.00 dollars back. They had no problem taking peoples money the least you could do is give it back.

Review: Many years ago I joined the M.J. Hummel Club and method of annual club membership was withdrawn from my checking account. In 2012 they withdrew $45. and I never received the annual hummel. They stated that the factory has not deliver them yet and it should be soon. After contacting them several time I requested that they discontinue the automatic renewal for 2013 and they sent a letter on 10/2/13 stating this.

Membership Number [redacted]Desired Settlement: Money or deliver of something.

Review: My club membership number is [redacted]. I have been a member of the Hummel Club for more than 10 years. Each year I give two gift memberships. Each membership includes a subscription to INSIGHTS magazine and a membership renewal hummel figurine. This year's figurine is call Cuddle Bear[redacted] To date I have not received the figurine, nor have my gift recepients received their gift figurine. When I called the phone number, it has been cancelled. I tried another phone number and it is another company.Desired Settlement: I want the Hummel figurine which was paid for by credit card for myself and my two gift memberships (total of 3 Hummels).

If this is not possible, then I want to be reimbursed. And I want my credit card information deleted since the memberships have been paid for by auto-renewal.

Review: I paid the annual fee to the company and was suppose to get 4 quarterly magazine issues and a Hummel figurine. I have received nothing. I've tried to contact them to no avail via phone and mail.Desired Settlement: Either my $50.00 (annual fee) refunded or receive the services they advertised.

Review: I have been a club member for many years and provided my check for 2013 Membership Year in October 2012, the membership gift of a MI Hummel was to be sent to me, Parlor Pal. After many calls for 6 months, they said it was out of stock for renewing members but had provided my friend, a new member with the item.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my membership dues since I never received my statue.

Review: Earlier this year I receive a letter advising that "Parlor Pal" Hummel was not currently available (aka out of stock) but that "Our factory in Rodental, Germany continues to work very hard to meet the demand. We continue to receive deliveries each month and will send your figurine as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience. Rest assured, every renewing meember will receive their FREE thank you gift, Parlor Pal, as soon as he arrives in the United States" Several months later I still have not received Parlor Pal, and two phone numbers I had are no longer active [redacted] and[redacted]. In addition, their websites are not working www.MIHummelClub.com and www.ShopHummel.com. Not sure if their fax is working[redacted]Desired Settlement: I wish to receive my free gift for renewing my 2013 membership.

Review: Having been a member for many years I had auto renewal in the month of December. They charged my credit card as before but I did not receive the renewal figurine. I waited till May or June and e-mailed them asking where it was. They told me that they ran out of that renewal figurine and they were going to make more and send it out. I have not received it and I will probably never will. If nothing else they could have sent me the 2013 figurine but they did not. There has been no response since the first e-mail. I believe that they have committed fraud as they were paid and did not provide the figurine.Desired Settlement: To receive the item I was charged for.

Business

Response:

Payment of $47.25 was received on 12/6/12 for renewal of this M.I. Hummel Club membership. The membership card was mailed and all membership benefits have been available to this member. One of the membership benefits was a free figurine named Parlor Pal.

The manufacturer of M.I. Hummel figurines and our parent company, [redacted], located in Germany has been experiencing production difficulties with this gift figurine. This information was communicated to this member and was published in both the Spring 2013 and Summer 2013 issues of our Club magazine, Insights, that is mailed to all members. We take our commitment to our members seriously.

We attempted numerous times to contact this member by telephone to discuss this issue and options but have been unable to make contact as they are not able to respond during our normal business hours. Unfortunately, since we have been unable to provide the free figurine benefit and have been unable to discuss any options we will be inactivating this membership and issuing a refund of $47.25 to the credit card that was originally charged.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

Review: As a member of the MI Hummel Club payment of dues entitles you to receive a Hummel figurine. The Club Year 36, Parlor Pal experienced production difficulties (according to customer service) and was never received. Dues were debited for the Club Year 37, Cuddle Bear and has yet to be received. The phone number has been disconnected and website is unavailable.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the products I paid for as promised.

Review: I am a member of the MIHummel Club and have been for over 30 years. My latest membership fee was paid in May 2013 with a promise to deliver my thank you gifts, Cudddle Bear and Parlor Pal figurines, to me at my address. As of this date I have not received my figurines. I have tried e-mailing the business at the Mercerville, NJ address and I can not get through. I have tried phoning the business at the Mercerville, NJ address and my call does not go through. In all my years as a member of this club I have never run across this problem before. I would like my two figurines delivered to my address as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: Delivery of two figurines- Parlor Pal and Cuddle Bear.

Review: I have been a member of the M.I. Hummel club since 1992 and each year I purchase memberships for both myself and my daughter in-law however, in December of 2012 M.I. Hummel club took the membership fees for both subscriptions off my credit card $94.50 but never sent us our figurines. The membership is free but I was paying for the figurines which to date I still have not received nor have they paid me back my money. Over the last year I have called the club at least once a month to find out about my figurines, they would tell me that production was backed up but I would receive my figurines. In December 2013 I called as usually however, this time the phone was disconnected. If I cannot get both my figurines that I paid for I would like to be reimbursed.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive both my figurines that I paid for or I would like to be reimbursed.

Review: I have paid for memberships in the Club for 2012 and 2013 - and have not received the Hummels as I am due for participating in this program.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate being reimbursed for the dues that I paid in order to receive the promised figurines.

Review: I paid my yearly dues of $52.50 for the MI Hummel membership with a personal check in Spring of 2013, with the expectation that I would receive the free renewal "Parlor Pal" figurine per the advertisement and past years of membership. My membership number is [redacted]. I have been a member of this club since 2006. I have not received my "Parlor Pal" figurine as of 1-31-2014 and my checking account reflected the check was cashed. I have attempted to contact the MI Hummel Club 1-800 number. There is a message that the phone number has been disconnected or no longer in use.Desired Settlement: My first wish would be to receive the figurine I desired, however, if the business is closed, I would like some communication and my check back.

Review: I paid for my annually membership on 1/25/2013 of $52.50. I have been a member for over 20 years. I did not receive my annual hummel so I began calling around April. I was told they were having a problem with the manufacturer in Germany and would be sending them out shortly. I again called in August and was told they started receiving some and were mailing out as the customer who paid first. I still didn't receive mine, so I called again in I believe October and was told they still didn't have enough but they would be coming in. I asked what my options were and was told they could refund my money but most all members were waiting as they didn't want to miss a year. I agreed to wait too! Now I can't reach them, I don't even know if they are still in business. I wish I would have taking my money back then. Since a year has passed and I have never received any correspondence from them other than my attempts of contact, I want to file this complaint. I am so shocked and disappointed at a company I always felt was reputable. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.Desired Settlement: I do not believe their stories any longer and just want my money back.

Review: A member of M I Hummel Club since May of 1996 and have renewed by membership each year in return I have received a Hummel figurine except this past year. I sent in my check on 1 March 2013 and called 1-800[redacted] on 16 September 2013 talked to a [redacted] at that time she stated that there were some financial issues in Germany but they would notify when shipping the product. I have not heard from anyone and no product has been delivered. Researching the internet I see where the NJ office is out of business. I want to know want I can do about getting back the money I sent to the company in March, the check has cleared my bank. Thank you

Review: I ordered a Hummel 10/12, I paid $50.00 for it. I never received it. I have called the 800 number. I have e-mailed numerous times & they say there mailing the check. I have ordered them in the past and never had any problems. I have recently been emailing & I never get a reply. I tried the 800, number and I get a busy signal. I either want the Hummel I ordered or my money back.Desired Settlement: Either a refund of the money or the Hummel.

Review: I have been a member of the M. I. Hummel Club for 21 years. Every February the Club automatically deducts approximately $49 for my yearly figurine. They did this in 2013. I have still not received the figurine and now their phone number is not in service [redacted]) and cannot find them on the internet. I do not want them to charge my credit card in 2014 and still not deliver the product. They basically stole my money and did not deliver the product. I have called numerous times over the last few months and was told there was a problem with production in Germany but now the phone is always busy.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the 2013 figurine or get a credit on my credit card.
