[redacted]:    I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy's Executive Office.  As a liaison in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB).  We sincerely regret any frustration you may have experienced regarding the interest charges on your Macy's account noted above.   Per the DSNB Credit Card Agreement, if you have been paying less than the Total Now Due on your Revolving account balance each month and you then decide to pay your balance in full, you will be charged interest charges on that balance from the first day of the billing cycle until the date that your payment is received. The minimum interest charge is $2.00.  This interest charge is for the money loaned to you during that period, and will appear on the next month’s billing statement which may result in a statement with interest only. You can avoid being charged interest by paying your account balance in full every month by your payment due date.  My review found that all fees were properly charged.    Applying this billing policy to your Macy’s account, the $2.00 interest charge on your January 1, 2017, statement was for interest charged on your account balance between the last bill date of December 16, 2016, and the date (January 2, 2017) that your $114.64 payment was applied to your Macy’s account.  When no payment was received, the $2.00 charge carried forward to your billing statement for the period ending February 14, 2017.  Your statement balance included $143.98 in new purchases, a $2.00 late fee and a $2.00 minimum interest charge, resulted in a new balance of $149.98 with a $29.00 minimum payment (including a $2.00 past due amount) due by March 13, 2017.  When no payment was received by this due date the account was charged a $29.00 late fee and a $2.00 interest charge.    On February 23, 2017, you returned the items from your order #[redacted] under receipt #[redacted] and a $134.98 credit was applied to your account.  The billing statement for the period ending March 17, 2017, (copy enclosed) included your return merchandise credits, however since no payment was received by the payment due date, the account was charged a $29.00 late fee and a $2.00 interest charge.  Although your statement shows a credit of $134.98 from returned merchandise, a payment was still required on your account per the terms of the DSNB Credit Card Agreement.  Please note, returns and credits are not applied toward your Minimum Payment Due.    On March 24, 2017, as a courtesy to you, a $9.00 credit was applied to your account for the expedited shipping fee from your order #[redacted].  In addition, I removed $31.00 in late fees and $6.00 in interest charges resulting in a zero ($0.00) balance on the account. Thanks for your reply.
 
Now the facts are clear under your
explanation. Fact 1. [redacted] has
returned merchandises to Macy’s [redacted] Center and Macy’s Inc. has issued [redacted] a fake useless Macy’s gift card as store credit. Fact 2. Macy’s doing so is based on [redacted]’s original payment
(Macy’s gift card) on these merchandises.
 
[redacted]/Ms. Carrie W., now since the
facts are clear, I want to make a debate with [redacted]/Ms. Carrie W. if you are on
the behalf of Macy’s Inc.
 
1. 
Fact 1 and Fact 2 are different issues. Macy’s Inc. is not a judge or a
king.
 
2. Assuming Macy’s Inc. is a judge,
why [redacted]/Ms. Carrie W. states Macy’s don’t allow [redacted] to use Macy’s gift
card before and from now on, either online or in store? Does [redacted] use Macy’s
gift card is against Macy’s terms or conditions or any laws?
 
3. [redacted] physically has Macy’s gift
cards. [redacted] is the owner of these cards currently unless these gift cards
are originally from illegal sources. See attachment.
 
4. [redacted] got Macy’s gift card
from 4 sources: One, from Macy’s directly; Two, from [redacted] friends; Three,
exchanged gift cards from [redacted] and
[redacted]; Four, purchased from [redacted] and
[redacted].
 
5. [redacted]/Ms. Carrie W. states that
[redacted] and [redacted] are unauthorized
sources. [redacted] states gift cards from [redacted]
and [redacted] are from the original owners who exchanged or sell their gift
cards on these marketplace. Macy’s terms or conditions or laws never state forbidding

6. Taking [redacted] as an example,
it is Revdex.com accredited business.
 
Could you please unblock my EZ gift
card #[redacted]? At least you should not block the entire amount of this

I investigated the matter and
found that a Macy’s EZ-Exchange (gift) card #[redacted] was issued to you
for merchandise you returned to the [redacted] Center Macy’s in [redacted],
[redacted], on April 25, 2015, and May 3, 2015. 
The merchandise you returned was originally purchased online at
macys.com under reservation order [redacted] using several different gift cards
as your method of payment.
 
A block was placed on your
EZ-Exchange (gift) card as a security measure because the original gift cards
you used to purchase the merchandise could not be verified.  Therefore, we require proof-of-purchase for
the gift cards you used to place the order prior to releasing the hold on your
EZ-Exchange card.  You can send the
proof-of-purchase to my attention at the address above or you can email it to [redacted].

It's been 33 days and I still have not received my refund since returning purchased items on September 23rd.  I did not request a Macy's Merchandise Certificate  as a  preferred refund and I do not want it.  Your policy is to refund proof of purchased items to the original form of payments.  You all have copies of my receipts.  If need be, I will get an attorney involved to rectify this matter.Macy's Store Return PolicyDon't love it? I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.I did receive a call from Ms. W. and also a follow up email, but since those communications, I have only received only $376 and $164. A few days later, I noticed that the $376 was reversed to a purchase... I have not received the full credit for order # 110118767 in the amount of $175.
As of July 14, 2015, I have contacted Ms. W. by phone and am currently awaiting a return call. [redacted]

are in receipt of the rebuttal for Complaint Id #[redacted] regarding the
customer's return.  A credit for the
returned merchandise was issued to the customer's account on 3/7. Additionally,
a credit balance check was released and mailed to the customer on 3/15. The
check should deliver to the customer's home within 10 business days after the
specified date. If the customer does not receive her refund check by mail
within 10 business days, she will need to contact our credit department by
calling ###-###-####.  At this time, Macy's will consider this matter closed
and will not respond to any further rebuttals regarding this matter.

  We are in receipt of your complaint forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office by the Revdex.com.  As a representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB).  Please accept my personal apology for any frustration or inconvenience you may have encountered regarding this matter.  Be assured we have policies in place to comply with all federal and state laws in our credit practices, and I regret that you feel otherwise.   Per the enclosed DSNB Credit Card Agreement, if you have been paying less than the Total Now Due on your Revolving account balance each month and you then decide to pay your balance in full, you will be charged interest charges on that balance from the first day of the billing cycle until the date that your payment is received.  The minimum interest charge is $2.00.  This interest charge is for the money loaned to you during that period, and will appear on the next month’s billing statement. Bureau.  As a representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank.  We do consider you a valued customer and it was never our intention to disappoint you.  Please be assured that the service you received is not typical of the level of quality customer service that we strive to provide.  Macy’s goal is to have professional and knowledgeable Customer Service and Fraud associates, so that all of our customers’ questions and needs are addressed and resolved efficiently.  From the comments in your complaint, it appears we may be falling short of that goal.  So, I would like to thank you for the time you took to share this situation with us, as it provides us an opportunity to follow up with the appropriate action. On March 11, 2016, we received notification of the fraudulent charges on your account and reported your account lost/stolen.  On this same date, a Statement of Fraud form was sent and an interest charge of $192.92 as well as a $27.00 late fee was removed per your request.  On March 15, 2016, you called and spoke to a customer service representative to make a payment by phone of $175.00.  On March 18, 2016, our fraud department completed their investigation and a total of $1,070.31 in fraudulent charges was removed from your current account number.Our collections department contacted you on March 23, 2016, and your call was transferred to our fraud department.  They advised the fraudulent transactions were not completely removed as of yet; however, the amount was transferred from your current account.  Another Statement of Fraud was sent on this same day and you were advised of the up to ninety (90) day claim process time.  Our customer service department received a phone call from you on March 25, 2016, and another $27.00 late fee was removed by a supervisor per your request.  On April 1, 2016, an interest charge of $160.25 was removed and a credit of $150.00 was applied to your account as a courtesy during your telephone call with a customer service supervisor.  On May 12, 2016, fraudulent charges in the amount of $1,070.31 as well as a total of $21.25 in interest charges were credited from the stolen account and the fraud case was closed.  I have enclosed a copy of your billing statements from the closing date of November 19, 2015, through May 20, 2016, as reference.  Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to respond.  If I may be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at the telephone number listed below.  Sincerely,Stephanie C.Macy's Executive Office###-###-#### Extension [redacted]Enclosurescc:  [redacted], Revdex.com

[redacted]   [redacted]December 1, 2016 [redacted] Re:  Revdex.com, Complaint ID [redacted] Macy’s account ending in [redacted] Dear [redacted]:  I am in receipt of your comments regarding our previous response to your complaint filed with the Revdex.com, which was forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office.  As a liaison in this office, I was asked to review your additional concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank.  Please accept my sincere apologies for any frustration this matter may have caused you. Upon a secondary and independent review of your Macy’s account and complaint, I found that when your $33.00 payment was reversed due to the data entry error; you made up this missing payment in your next month’s payment of $66.00 on June 21, 2016.  Unfortunately, I found that the proper procedures for re-setting the minimum payment due after this data entry error were not properly followed, and for this I apologize. To resolve this matter, we have removed accumulated late fees ($209.00) and interest ($147.25) charged to your account since May 21, 2016.  I found that we over credited you $64.87 in interest; however, we are leaving this additional credit on your account as a courtesy to you. because I am a senior citizen Ii had a severe stroke last year, Ii am diabetic, Ii suffer with severe migraine headaches, I am also in a wheel chair, I use my television screen to send email, however Ii dont have a computer, nor do I have a printr I have advised macy's several times to please send the replies or the responses they sent in letter form to my home address in [redacted], macy has ignored my request several times again and again, Ii have put the request in writing to macy several times to send the letters that they have written to me and cc the Revdex.com also to send these letter to me by united states postal service, Ii have repeaed this request to macys over and over again how many times do Ii need to advise macys in writing of the fact that the only the sole reason,                                          reason I am not satisified, I reiterate the sole reason I am not satisfied with macys reply is I need all the letters macys has written to me and cc the Revdex.com I need all these letters by hard copy sent to my home address, thats the only sole reason Ii am not satisified, Ii want to keep a hard copy of macys letter in my files for my own personal record just in case in the future going forward something else comes up, Ii am a victim of identity theft for the past 15 years someone even filed taxes in y name, Ii have a identity theft case going on with the internal revenue service, someone used my social security number to work in my name I have serious Identity theft issues thats why Ii need to keep a record of macys letter, Ii will be satisified if macys will simply mail me a copy of all the letters that have been written by email to me and to the better businss bureau, thank you [redacted]
